This is one of the many reasons I am in love with Silent Hill. To see all of these trivial connections, the way you can interpret things, and just all of the nitty gritty stuff. How else can you describe a game that allows you to peel back layers of pixels to find elements you'd otherwise overlook had you simply breezed through the game?
In my oppinion, you're not experiencing silent hill until you've made your character walk into every single tiny nook and cranny that the games floor layout will possibly let you cover. Cause honestly, in this game, stepping in a different PUDDLE can trigger a whole new series of events lol. sweatdrop

DJ Arctic Wolf i mean, Centralia was pretty much the basis for the movie itself, but to have an actual Silent Hill around would possibly be the greatest thing ever! Although that is quite true if I somehow got stranded there I would crap my pants and die......I have a very strong christian background so ghosts/spirits/ demon monsters literally scare me. I cantwatch movies like that because I get scared shitless. sad Ex. Silent hill 4. The white girl figure that walks towards you when the game is loading, scared me too much.it looked like the girl from the ring. So I never finished the game. I got as far as the subway. sad

Ive now beaten and played it tons of times, but I know exactly what you're talking about. I used to be christrian, but now I am and have been for a while a Norse pagan. My mindset is to push on and follow my destiny with pride. So I guess if i ever wound up in Silent Hill, i would have no choice but to press on, and if I died, then death would be embraced.

Lol well those nightmares were super realistic to me. I would wake up in those dreams in my own bed... and Id be really thirsty... so I would get up to go get a drink but the door wouldnt open. And right next to me the wall would start cracking and bleeding... and a ghost would crawl out... and to make matters worse, for some reason my mind felt like if it touched me once i would die instantly so I would do nothing but hide and run every dream.

I would refuse to sleep. But luckily/unlucky (however u see this) I don't have nightmares. I never have. I dream maybe like 4 times a week at average and usually they're about doing certain things wih guys I like wink lmao but instead of nightmares...I hav e a very....active imagination.ex. it'll be like 1 in the morning. I'm still up watching tv or playing games and I have to go downstairs to the bathroom or I'm thirsty, hungry whatever, on the way back up I always run bc in my mind there next to the begining of the stairs.(thers a landing aftera few steps then turns 90 degrees.)

Well to be honest, I really did fail to sleep many nights... I was beginning to consider seeing a sleep specialist to see if there was anything they could do for me. I was even too afraid to take sleeping pills, feeling like I was just dropping myself into a guarenteed nightmare. Silent Hill 4 is the only one in the series I ever heard stories similar, or worse, than mine. For instance, a grandmother had a heart attack after watching her grandson play it wondering what he was up to.
