The pods. There was something unnerving about the pods, inherently terrifying that made your skin crawl just to be in the same room as them. It might have had something to do with the eerie futuristic feel they had. It probably had something to do with the fact that they had been stuck in them before they'd qualified as trainees. It definitely had something to do with the fact that they were Dr. H's.
Settling into one of the pods, Petra took a slow breath before she closed her eyes, the pod door swinging slowly closed with a hiss.

Reine whimpered audibly when she saw where the rest were going- into pods. No.. no, she couldn't do this, she couldn't-- not when she'd just come out of one.
Was everything just a cruel joke? Was this, in fact, a dream? Was it the Matrix?
At that moment, someone running past shoved her hard, and Reine fell screaming into the pod, which closed itself around her.
"NO NO NO LET ME OUT LET----"

Sighting a little at the sight of the pods as she had just woken up from one and didn't want to go back in but was also a little excited to learn something new. Taking a deep breath as she walked up to one and climbed in as she relaxed wondering to what she was going to be.

Madison quietly skirted the pods that still had genuine sleepers in them, trying not to look at their faces; she kept her gaze down even when she approached the available pods, so she wouldn't have to see her comrades in the same odd, blank state. She climbed inside the first free pod she found and forced herself to relax into it.
Time to go.

Ennéa entered the room and looked about. She still thought all the pods and machinery everywhere made the place look like something out of a science fiction movie. Something like The Fly.
Euuugh. Hopefully her golem won't be a fly.
What would be wrong with that? Baraz asked, his tone mildly affronted. At least then we could fly.
"Still..." Ennéa muttered. She didn't mind bugs; she found most to be rather fascinating, actually, but there was a big difference between observing and being. Honestly, it might be worse than being a zombie.
Oh, just get in the pod already. Baraz said impatiently.
Ennéa obediently got into the nearest empty pod.

The pod room was creepy. The pod room was always creepy. Madison kept her head down to avoid looking at the sleepers, as usual. Maybe they were all off somewhere else too, in mind?
At least she'd wake up again.

Eva was not sure that she approved of the fact that they would be hunting down cute and fluffy creatures for Julie when she so clearly intended on butchering them...but she supposed that a mission was a mission.
And, you know, Halloween. As cute and fluffy as they were, they were probably really evil deep down.

A mission, from Clarice again- a 'simple' item retrieval trip this time that Reine hoped would not go the same way the Vegas mission did. They were running low on fear candies, and she'd been given the directions to get to a hidden supplies cache somewhere... and then a mall.
In Halloween. Sighing and bracing herself for the worst, Reine chose a pod at random. Remember, monsters were--- neither food nor friends. Yeah.
Be careful, Ally said lightly, though Reine had the impression it was more of a warning.

She hadn't planned on coming here. No, really- she hadn't. She'd just somehow gravitated towards the pod room, while walking to the life division labs, and before she'd realised it, Reine had stepped into one of the pods there.
Maybe she could pick up some more fear candy while she was there.
Yes. That would be.. for the better.
