Nakita caught the slight look of panic that filtered across her winged sister’s eyes and she quickly looked behind her, there was no unsuspecting enemy behind her, so what made Galla’s eyes appear as such? “Galla, what is wrong? What did you see? Is there someone out here?” Nakita’s body was on high alert ready for an attack should it come. Then her adrenalin slowly seeped out of her body when she heard her friend giggle, a bewildered look crossed the blue filly’s countenance and she turned that look upon Galla, confused at her sudden change in emotion.

Galla pulled closer, "I was scared you might leave me. I don't want you to ever leave me. Sisters, forever?" There was a slight plea in her voice. She'd never lost anyone she knew. Her father had been gone before she was born. At times she wondered if she missed him. But how could you miss someone you never ever knew?
But she knew Nakita and she would miss her if they ever parted. She didn't want Nakita to leave her, ever.

Nakita raised an eyebrow, the thought that she would leave the Flock was absurd, this place was home, it was where her family, her sisters lived. “Galla, don’t worry, I will never leave you or the Flock, you both are important to me.” The blue filly nodded her head to the upset young winged harpy, “I promise that I will not leave you and that we will be sisters forever. And besides, weren’t we supposed to be warriors together?” Nakita bumped up against Galla’s side, she was not usually this friendly toward others, but Galla was of the Flock, she was her sister of flight.
But unknown to Nakita and Galla, the young Harpini would be breaking her promise in the months to come.

Galla couldn't help but smile. They'd be great warriors, she knew it. For years her people would sing of them. She gripped her claws in the dirt as she bumped back into Nakita. "Sisters forever."
But time was not their friend. For now, there was no realization that sometime when she needed Nakita most--that she would be gone.

The four winged filly had many aspirations for herself within the flock and she knew that she would not have any trouble catching herself any stallions, the other plus to her looks, they would not expect her to be one of the great huntresses of the woods. Nakita thought back to her blood sister, who did not seem to enjoy flock life, and at times it made Nakita sad that Kia would rather look at bugs then talk strategies about catching stallions (would be put into use when they were older of course).
Nakita looked from her wings to that of her friends, Galla’s seemed so delicate, which would make those who went up against her underestimate Galla as a true foe, they would soon find out that her friend was not as delicate as they believed. “Sister, do you know any battle moves? I have been trying to learn as many as I possibly can.” Then an idea popped into her head, “Why don’t we spar to practice our skills? I haven’t fought with another who has wings before, it would be an interesting new experience… what do you think?”

Galla Sile tilted her head. She supposed it would be okay for them to spar. "I don't know alot but, I think I know enough." She fluttered her wings lightly as she moved around, preparing herself.
"Right here?" She moved lighter on her claws. Dancing and fighting were similiar arts she knew. Both were about finesse and grace and precision. The only difference was that with fighting she could protect her sisters.

Nakita had a thought of worry pass through her mind, how would she flight Galla? The filly had claws that could tear through flesh like it was water. Her young mind worked on a battle plan, of how to win and also avoid the claws; she would need something to block the claw attack should it occur. Silver eyes looked around the forest, “It is as best of place that we are going to get.” Nakita jumped to a fallen trunk of an ancient oak and used her wings to steady her as she caught her balance.
A nervous excitement settled over the mare, “Ready my Sister of Blue Wings?” She would not begin the attack until the filly gave her approval and took her fighting stance. The harpini did not wish to lose, for she had something to prove, that she was just as good as her sisters with claws, but it was not known what fate wished to transpire.

Galla Sile focused herself and ceased her fluttering. She lifted herself lightly on the tips of her classes as she began to circle. "I'm ready," her voice was more firm and attentive. All of our focus and drive was geared towards Nakita. She wanted to do the best she could, to show that one day she would be worthy of being a guard--if that was the path she chose.
She circled around, feeling the feathers in her hair swaying gently. Running at Nakita, she used her wings to flutter up and kick out.

All thought was cleared from her mind, the need to win, to prove herself, was forgotten as she entered her battle state of clarity. Quickly she parried the attack Galla aimed at her and returned with one of her own. Her grey eyes looked up at the canopy of branches above them, an idea forming in her head. Both of them had wings, so they would be able to take the battle to the higher branches, but Galla would have the upper hoof because of her claws. Nakita set her countenance in a determined look and leapt to the closest branch, sending a mental prayer that it would hold her weight.

A hoof caught Galla in the shoulder, but she took the blow well. It wouldn't scar, but it did rather hurt though. She watched as Nakita fled to a branch up above. An aerial fight? She couldn't help but smile. Nakita had more powerful wings, but this gave Galla more versatility.
Leaping up, she fluttered her wings just as she shrunk minutely. She zipped in and out of the leaves, trying to find a way to sneak up on Nakita. Her small claws walked the branch easily, completely balanced as she approached the other female from behind.

It was a strange sensation making contact with Galla, a sense of excitement grew in the filly, would this be what an actual fight would feel like?
Dread filled the young Angeni, she should have stayed on the ground, and her hooves could not find a secure hold upon the slippery bark of the branches. She cast her gaze around for Galla, trying to figure out where her next attack would strike; but all the filly saw was confusion, she could not get her bearings in the tree and she was quickly growing tired for her wings were the only thing keeping her in the tree.

Galla eased forward, seeing Nakita ahead of her. Carefully, she prepared herself. She'd only have a moment or two of being hidden to carry out her attack. She gripped her claws tighter on the branch, as she took a deep breath to unshrink herself.
The effect was instantaneous. Before she could lunge forward or make any movement at all, there was a deafening crack. Her stomach leapt up into her throat as she felt herself crashing down. She landed with a loud, "OOMFH!"
She felt slightly dazed as she cringed.

Her hooves were no longer upon the branch; the large piece of tree crashed to the earth with a loud thud with Nakita’s friend along for the ride, “Galla!” Nakita screeched to the fallen flutter and her silver eyes widened as gravity finally took effect on her tired wings. The ground rushed up to meet the blue mare as she crashed into the undergrowth.
Nakita lay on the ground, not wanting to move but she needed to check on Galla. Slowly she stood and shook out her bruised limbs. “Galla? Are you alright?” The young angeni’s eyes were filled with worry as she looked over her friend, searching for any serious injury that was inflected upon her person. “Perhaps training in the trees was not such a good idea…” It was hard for her to admit that she had made a mistake saying that they should fight and then taking it to the tree tops when both of them were still inept with flying.

Galla felt a little stunned as she opened her eyes, the light floating down through the dappled leaves. "I"m okay," she pulled herself to her feet heavily as the world kind of swam, "Are you okay?"
She winced slightly, feeling a little bruised. "I"m okay, I"m really okay." She couldn't help but giggle a little. "Yeah, that wasn't very smart of us. Let's not tell anyone?" She giggled a little more.

Relief filled the filly’s eyes when she noticed her friend was in one piece, a tad bruised, but whole none the less. “I’m fine, just a little sore from the fall.” Nakita turned her gaze to the trees above, “That was quite the fall we took.” She snorted at her friend’s words, “Not smart at all and deal, I won’t tell anyone if you won’t.”
Nakita moved her wings and a slight wince crossed her countenance, “Although they may ask us why we look like we took a beating.” She gave Galla a sheepish grin.
