The ooze was actually on the INSIDE of the sheet! Silly tatzel, she thought; if she was going to use this as is, she needed to have the ooze on the outside. The change made sense in her mind, but this really wasn't far off enough from her previous attempt.

What if it were held at all four corners rather than just two? Would that make it safer? Making use of your hands would give you more control over the flight, right?
This wasn't going to do either.

She placed the sheet down for a moment and went back to the pile to get...
An umbrella?
The ghoul shrugged and brought it to be inspected regardless. No, this wasn't enough just yet either.

Something was certainly brewing in her mind, but the pieces weren't quite falling together yet. Okay- putting the (what might be borrowed) umbrella by the oozed sheet, she curdled the pile yet again. Aha! Some sturdy but thin roping! Along with this was a propeller.
In a lasso sort of way, Levi'd thought this could work well.
It didn't meet the standard.

Alright- not the oozing sheet, umbrella or roping with propeller. Or at least not the propeller and roping in the style she'd tried. Well, what about if the propeller was tied to her back?
A definite no.

What about a combo of the bird-esque rubbery squeak toy and the sweater? If it was a question of how they could work, Levi showed a rather questionable way of putting the two together that- as before- didn't win over the sleepy boil.

Alright- maybe time to get a bit more complex with this oozed cloth... shape it? Right! Shun had fiddled with his cloth so it wasn't just a hand-held piece of material, right? Exactly. Grinning with a solid plan in mind, she covered the top of the umbrella with the cloth, tying the rope at all four end. On each of the ends was an object to weigh down the corners. It was a makeshift glorified umbrella and Mary Poppins Levi was proud to call the creation her very own. This somehow passed the inspection...

Parachute? ...
....
What the jack was a parachute.
Danny looked around the room to see what other people were making first. Lots of cloth things. Someone had an umbrella. There was even someone with a propeller?
Well this cleared up absolutely nothing. Danny decided to just tie her jacket ends together and show it to the safety inspector. Somehow, it was cleared.

He tried a series of paper fans in the shape of a cape, but when West hopped in the air, they all fell to the floor in a pasty mess.

The demon's next attempt took much longer than his previous ones, and for good reason. When he finally completed this parachute, it was much less ridiculous than the others had been. It was largely comprised of a square of canvas punctured through with several small holes. Three wooden "wings" extended from either of its sides, giving it extra lift. When he held the ends of the canvas and jumped, his creation immediately caught the air, making him land with a bit more grace than he normally would have. He was sure that this one would save him from splatting at the bottom of the pit, if his wings didn't do that first.
