Natalia looked to Ricky, hands on her hips, "Yeah, it's totally a dream. So I should be able to fly. But I can't. What the heck is with that?"

She was really stuck on the flying thing. And none the less, against Marienrode's orders, which Natalia preferred to call a 'strong suggestion,' she wondered off a short ways, viewing the vast lake of inky black and stars. Why would she dream of this place, and these people? Well, half her dreams didn't make sense anyway...

She heard one guy say something about hallucinations, and found that utterly ridiculous. She doing the shrooms like some of her peers. So strange as it was, this could only be a dream. And she was sticking to her guns on that one.

Pulling herself to her feet Jocelin rubbed her head again and looked at the assembled mass. Everyone seemed to be as confused as she was so that was a good sign. On the other hand everyone being confused meant that where weren't likely to be any answers to any questions anyone had. Some woman (Marienrode) seemed to be trying to give out orders but she wasn't really in the mood to be told what to do.

It was probably bad that out of all the odd questions the only one that made sense sounded like someone who got kicls out of people saying smudges on photo's were UFO's.

Turning her head she looked at the babbling girl (Regina) "Seriously. You're standing in the middle of space on what i really hope isn't some cosmic real version of Rainbow Road and you're going on about pictures? Priorities."

Raven glanced to the boy that was talking to her. (Darwin)

Ew. What gave him the right to talk to her? Those...eyebrows. Ugh...

"Terrorists drugging the water?" Better to just make this quick. He seemed more of a boy that her parents would love, not her. "That may be true for you, but I only drink bottled spring water. It's better for me. Less metals and...drugs. Next theory, if you please?"

Nutcases. Looneys. She figured all--well, most--of the people here had to just be crazies. And because they were crazies, she and the few good people must be being punished for it. Yup. that was the only logical explanation for the whole thing.

Sheila was asleep when the sensation crept up onto her. Even lying on her side it was impossible to escape the sudden lurch and vertigo. Her fingers tightened on her powder-blue sheets, the fabric slipping between her fingers as she was suddenly gone.

Her heart was pounding loudly when she materialized on the rainbow road, her dreams of fancy melting like cotton candy on her tongue as she stirred. Her fingers curled, scratching at the smooth surface of the rainbow road as her eyes opened into slits. Orange? Why was there so much orange? She squeezed her eyes shut and tried in vain to recall her dream. Was there orange there? No. She couldn’t recall the color.

Nor could she recall any trace of anything. Sheila slowly sat up and rubbed her eyes, confused. This was certainly not the ballroom she was dreaming of. Nor was it filled with all the various guests in awe-inspiring gowns that she had painstakingly detailed in all efforts to make her own stand out. This --!

Sheila woke up completely then, her green eyes wide with fear. She wasn’t in St. Magdalena’s anymore. With a short scream, she back-peddled as quickly as she could on her heels and hands, trying to get away from the group of people around her.

She screamed again as she bumped into the golden protective wall that flared up upon her contact, scrambling until she was seated within a strip of green on the rainbow road. There, she stared at the vastness of space around her, trembling with her hands pressed tightly against her mouth in fear.

Amy couldn't help herself. She crawled her way over to where Regina was at the vocal mention of Facebook, not quite trusting this rainbow road. The brown-haired girl was addicted to Facebook, and it made her feel a little less...well, out in space to hear and think of such a familiar thing.

"They? The aliens?" Amy was speaking to Regina, but she was giving sidelong glances to those LARPers a bit away from her. Maybe they were connected? Well...there were acting just like they were in a video game...

She kept herself near Regina, though hearing a familiar tone of a teacher was hard to ignore when everything was so uncertain. Her attention was split between the alien-concerned girl and Marienrode.

Flannery was sprawled out on the surface of the magical road the same way she'd been sprawled on the floor at home when she'd left it: slightly disheveled and wearing a solid red eyemask. It'd been a warm, lazy Saturday evening, and Flannery had been taking a nap. But she'd obviously felt something (perhaps plush carpeting giving way to something that felt a lot like concrete?) when she was transported to this other place, because she was suddenly moving to sit up. Flannery could hear voices, but she wasn't listening to anything. There was only one thing on her mind, really.

"Holy s**t, I was kidnapped?!!!" Flannery exclaimed, without taking off her eyemask. The tone of her voice added several additional exclamation points.

When Theodore Cooper woke up that morning he didn't not expect to be suddenly transported somewhere else. It wasn't even a possibility in the forty-four year old's mind. He wasn't unaware of the weird going ons of Destiny City, but those types of things didn't happen to him. He spent his days at home taking care of his Basset Hounds when he wasn't at work auditing companies. It was a simple life, but he enjoyed it.

So he was understandable pissed when he suddenly was pulled somewhere else, the bag of dog food he was holding falling to the ground. When his feet touched solid ground again he looked around his face blank. Was he having an acid flashback? He had only done drugs once when he was sixteen and stupid, but he was pretty sure whatever he took then didn't have a twenty-eight year delayed effect. Slowly he started to absorb the ambient noise, some kid was screaming, someone else was ordering people around. It was a bit chaotic. Who the hell were all these people? And then he noticed some were in various states of dress, quickly he looked down at himself relieved. He was still wearing his plaid shirt, jeans, and work boots.

Looking around at the others that were stuck on the rainbow road with him another realization dawned on him. He was the oldest one in the gathering, none of them looked over 35. He was surrounded by goddamn children. "What the hell is going on?" His voice was gravelly and deep, just as one would expect him to sound.

Molly was so sad. Her life was coming apart. She wasn't going to be able to wear that wonderful dress again and she was surround by rainbow fest. She had never been this close to death but she knew it. These people weren't normal, they where either old or people she could care less about. How this was horrible. She wouldn't be able to cheer again, never to shop again, never to text again. Oh no, where had she left her phone. She search for in hope she would find it but alas she did not. She knew it, this was hell. All that work for nothing and she ended up in a gay pride hell. This was it, everything was coming to an end.

Her eyes started to fill up with big blue tears. She was gone from the world she love with no one she could even talk to. This was horrible, just so horrible. As she look around with no hope, she spotted he best friend Raven. There was a God and he was saying her from dying. "Oh thank goodness:"she aid under her breath.

"Raven! Raven! Is that really you" She yelled out running to her. "I'm so glad that I wasn't the only normal girl here." she said sniffling. She grab her best friend in a hug, smiling.

"Please do watch your language," said Marienrode, giving the young man (Josh) near her the sternest look she could muster up. Surely he could manage to use his vocabulary despite the circumstances of their situation? Surely? This young man attended a Destiny City school, and she knew the curriculum for English (or Language Arts and Literacy, as it was written on Hillworth students' schedules) back to front. They did not teach the etymology of the word '********', ever.

No, that they left to college professors.

She did not know what to do with this influx of nude students. It was enough to make one quite irate, but Marienrode kept her head by reminding herself that it was only a dream. This notion might come to be shattered later--Destiny City weirdness, after all--but for now, she could remain calm and direct the children.

"Sir, please stay away from the--" Too late. He (Ricky) was touching it. They were going to cause some sort of horrid cataclysm and Marienrode would have to be quite overwrought. "There is a first time for everything," she told him.

She gritted her teeth at another young girl (Natalia) wandering off. Why was it that these females didn't simply listen to an older and more experienced being? It may only be a dream, but that endless expanse was wearing on her nerves. "Miss! Over here!" After a grudging moment, she added a "Please," to her orders.

Marienrode would have remained to give more orders, but her attention was drawn by a shrill scream. She left the pair of boys that had been talking to her to kneel down by the brown-haired child (Sheila). "What's wrong," she asked, glad to have a problem she thought she could deal with. "This? You will persevere. This is simply a dream, and we will wake up soon."

Comforting a dream construct? Well, it was a way to pass the time. "Be calm," she said. "It's easier to understand troubles when one has a clear mind with which to examine the situation."

She ignored the shouting man. Yelling at him for his language would help no one.

Steven Bittre was rifling through his locker, ready to start his shift. His ID was missing. Or he couldn't remember where he put it, and so, he was digging around frantically trying to figure out where he left it when all of the sudden he felt kind of dizzy.

His heart was pounding, he couldn't catch his breath, and he dropped everything to sit on the bench seat and hold his head. Was there some kind of chemical leak in here? That was his first thought and probably his best theory when his butt seemed to miss the bench completely and he flopped to the floor.

Or... ground. He had hit the ground. And when he pulled his hands away from his eyes, he definitely felt like this was some drug induced altered state of consciousness. His chest was still tight with some semblance of panic as his mind started going through all sorts of scenarios where his unconscious or dead body would be found in the locker room, sprawled out in a less than dignified fashion.

But there were so many other people here. Realistic looking people, kind of; Some were in costume. He didn't really know what to make of it and stood up, brushing off his scrubs pants while looking very much in a daze.

Someone shouted about being kidnapped, and it did absolutely nothing to ease how lost he felt. Kidnapped to space? Rainbow space? He was going to start hyperventilating if no answers happened very soon.

Natalia looked over her shoulder from where she'd stopped to look out at space and gave Marienrode a look that could easily read a sarcastic, 'seriously?'

She didn't exactly see the point in staying put. What good would standing around here as one big cluster ******** do anyway? It wasn't like they were waiting for something, were they? Besides, as she'd been telling herself before - this was a dream. It wasn't real, and she might as well have fun while she was still locked in to this interesting case of lucid dreaming. Even if she couldn't fly. Which she would. She was determined of that!

"Get bent." She muttered as though it was second nature, turning her phone this way and that as she tried to figure out service. Just how bad were roaming charges in space? Would the aliens cover them? Not likely... Even if it did mean free publicity.

Then, realizing that might have been rude, she paused to glance up at the girl who'd questioned her priorities, brow quirking. "Rainbow Road? Yes, I suppose that is what we're on, but... You mean it doesn't seem real to you?" Clearly Regina had never played Mario Kart before. Poor depraved girl...

"Yes, the aliens. Clearly they're responsible for bringing us here. Haven't you heard about all of the sightings around Destiny City? All of the strange things? How else would you explain them? Regina Faith, by the way. Hopewell, actually. Regina Faith Hopewell." She paused, glancing around as though wondering for the briefest of moments if giving her name had been a mistake... Then again, the higher beings probably already knew her name. They'd probably selected her for a specific reason.

"Don't worry, I don't think they're hostile..."

The confused Alabamian scratched his head, staring at the edge where the invisible wall stood. He was doing something he rarely allowed himself to do: think. He thought hard about the most intelligent things he could manage: the names of basic types of sciences, God, how many grams are equal to an ounce - anything to try and figure a way to get back home. And his head was in pain from this level of brainpower.

"Now, I ain't no scientist or nuttin," Ricky said to the group. "But what if we all like, pounded at the wall and smashed it down or some s**t? Then won't gravities bring us back to earth and back home? We could be in one 'o those, er, vacuum things and we jus' need ta get out. You know?"

"My head hurts from all this thinkin," he rubbed his temples.

Claustrophobia was not a problem Jett had, however the more he walked around, the more he realized just how many people seemed to be in the same plight as him, and how his personal space felt like it was shrinking more and more. It was almost suffocating, though he was trying very hard not to let the discomfort show on his face. To be fair, it was like walking through a crowded hallway on the first day of high school when all the freshmen were puttering around, trying to find their classrooms before the bell rang.

Except, Jett had graduated high school, and being reminded of his freshman years only served to agitate him. He was a calculated sort of guy and liked to have things planned out; he liked to know what he was getting into, and right now the calm, collected, clever Jett Draven was at an absolute loss.

He decided almost immediately that he didn’t like this place; he didn’t like being surrounded by strangers in some world that looked too fantasy oriented to be real. He didn’t like not knowing how he ended up here in his bathroom, and he didn’t like being so in the dark. This was far worse than his first day of high school; at least then he had been wearing shoes and knew he looked just as snazzy as he could.

There were voices all around him—people asking questions—but one voice in particular caught his attention. He turned behind him and eyed a strangely familiar blonde.

This girl. This girl, Jett knew he recognized. They had met at several parties, and occasionally shared a table at lunch. Raven…something or other. She was talking to someone already, but he assumed that with her prissy attitude, she’d chase them away soon enough.

He took out the hair tie in his hair and casually ran his fingers through his hair in a half-assed effort to make himself look more presentable. Tying his hair back quickly, he walked behind Raven and cleared his throat. “Quite the social butterfly, Raven. Making friends even in the strangest environments, are you?” He glanced over the two that had already addressed her but seemed relatively disinterested and turned his attention back to Raven. “Am I interrupting something?” he casually inquired in a tone that stated very obviously that he couldn’t care in the slightest. That there were already people she was making conversation with her was a good thing; he wouldn’t have to bother socializing or asking anyone what was going on if he stayed near her. They might not have ever been anything even remotely close to friends back when they still attended school together, but Jett assumed they were close enough that if she found out anything particularly interesting, she’d share with him. Besides—Raven was a face he recognized, and if he was going to be stuck in this psychedelic mystery world, he was at least going to be stuck with her.

The girl Darwin had offered his pearl of wisdom to didn’t seem to appreciate it. That and she had poked a hole in his theory. Pity, it had been the most logical and statistically likely scenario next to magic, which was a theory he preferred not to consider. Instead, he decided to turn his attention elsewhere, but not before encouraging Raven's opinion of him.

“ Another theory? Squirrels.” He shrugged, then added, “ They’re tricky little bastards.”

Turning away from the girl, Darwin proceeded to talk to himself.

“ Does seem like Batman Begins, only brighter and less scary. I wonder what this rainbow is made of. Did aliens make it? Maybe all rainbows are made by aliens…”

Some would say the only way to have an intelligent conversation was to talk to yourself, but Darwin’s conversation didn’t seem particularly intelligent. At least, not to an outsider.
