Adney had an effect on Sky. She seemed to relax even when she was worried with Adney around. Just one smile and she knew things were going to be okay. "Miss Charboneau." A doctor called out. Sky got up and walked over to the woman. Once Adney had joined them the doctor turned and guided them into a room. "Okay jump up on the bed and pull up your shirt. We'll see how this little guy is doing." The doctor said as she started to grab the needed goods to see Blair's development.

Pleased that she seemed to relax a bit, he stood as her name was called. Following along just behind her, he moved into the room indicated. He didn't look pleased at the nonchalant way the doctor told her to lift her shirt, but he remained silent on the matter. Moving to the opposite side of the bed, he offered Sky his hand to help her up onto the bed. Not bothering to move for one of the chairs to pull closer to the bed, he stood at its side to await patiently for the doctor to do his job. He would offer his hand to hold, doing his best to be supportive when he knew that she was probably concerned for the child. He had done his best to keep her off her feet since she had started to show, making sure to restrict her diet of anything that could harm their son.

The doctor put a gel on the woman's belly and she nearly jumped because it was a little cold. "The doctor let out chuckle. "A little cold right?" He commented as he then moved wand over top. The first thing that was easy to notice was the sound of a little heartbeat. Sky's darted to the machine that showed them the movement in her belly. As the doctor moved the wand around their son came into view. Sky's eyes filled with joy and little tears as she squished Adney's hand. the doctor smiled taking in notes that he would have to right down later.

While he was also quite excited at the first look of their child {in the present time}, his eyes didn't tear up; he wasn't the openly emotional sort, especially not in front of strangers, though he did crack a small smile. Feeling his hand being squeezed, he didn't flinch nor ask her to loosen her grip. He knew exactly why she was excited, and he watched as the doctor set about taking notes. "How does he look?" he asked, hiding any sort of anxiety he felt with a calm tone. The doctor wasn't speaking, and the redhead wanted him to spit it out already.

The doctor took in another look before he answered. "He looks great and so does miss Charboneau from what I can tell. That means at this point there is no C-section needed." That was always a good sign. Too many women these days wanted to get one so they didn't have to stand the pain. "Have you guys talking about where and method of birth? If both mother and child stay well like this then I may even recommend you have the child at Reed's since it's closer. The doctor there can assist." He told the couple of there options.

Silently relieved to hear that both Sky and the baby were in good shape, he peered a little closer at the monitor. So that was Blair, huh? Sure is a tiny little guy. From what he had read up on baby development, he wouldn't be chubbing up until closer to the due date, so he wouldn't worry about size right this minute. After all, the doctor had said both were fine. Pulled from his thoughts at the mention of where and how, he shifted his gaze to Sky. In his mind, it was really her choice; she was the one pushing the baby out, and so he wasn't going to be making that decision. "What do you think?" he prompted, wanting her to be the one to answer.

Sky turned to Adney. She was kind of excited now that she got to see her son. "Well there are some advantages to it." She commented thinking about what she was told. "Like we'd be able to take him home faster and it would be more personal." She gave her two best reasons. "I asked the school doctor about it and he said that what it would be like with him was kind of like getting a private room in the clinic and he'd check up on me, but the rest is mostly more like doing it at home, just in a safe place if something goes wrong." She answered. Mizuki seemed to like to have more private births similar to that too. Maybe it was a good idea to ask her more about it.

Listening carefully to her reasons, he paused a moment before giving a small nod. He didn't know the school doctor very well, whenever he got hurt he went to Pyry or {more recently} Solomon, but he knew the other man had to be a decent doctor to get hired at Reed's. "If you'd prefer that, then I have no problem with it." he agreed, not willing to fight over something like that. After a moment, a vaguely devious smile broke across his face. "As long as you put up with my strict rules and stay healthy." he'd been careful with her diet, insisting on cooking most nights so he could ensure that it was something she would eat while still giving the baby what it needed.

Sky raised her brow. She didn't mind the whole eating what he made think about the rules, but she did at least want to be able to walk around. At the same time there was a part of her who didn't want to be in the hospital for three days resting when she could do that at home. "Fine." She said with a slight huff about her. She didn't want totally agree to it.

Raising a brow in return, he waited for an argument. Flashing a smile when she conceded, even if it was quite huffy, he returned his attention to the doctor. He let her move around within reason, but generally he insisted that she not exert herself more than necessary. He knew that she wasn't the sort that liked remaining idle, but it was for the best of Sky and Blair if she didn't push it like he knew she wanted to. Eyes on the doctor, he watched the other man a moment before speaking. "So everything is fine? No problems?" he wanted that reiterated, just to calm any nerves that might flair up.

The doctor looked at the couple. He had pulled a napkin out and was about to lean over to wipe Sky's belly free of the gel. "Yup everything is fine." He told the couple again. The woman to him looked really healthy. The man then leaned down and wiped up the gel before Sky put her shirt down.

Giving the doctor a small nod, he allowed the man to go back to wiping the gel from Sky's stomach. The doctor's reassurances made him feel much better, even if he already knew that the child would end up fine. Still, the vision had not disclosed any difficulties that may occur between now and then; this was the cause of his worry, but if the doctor said everything was fine, then he would relax and not worry. Turning a raised brow on Sky, he silently inquired whether she was ready to leave. Honestly, he hated hospitals of any sort and wanted to leave quickly; the smell and sight of doctors in white coats brought back bad memories. Raising a hand to run through his hair, he combed his bangs back from his face and took a silent breath.

Sky swung her legs over to one side and got up after Adney had messed with her bangs. "We're all good?" She asked the doctor to make sure that she could leave. "You're all good. Keep up with whatever you're doing." he answered. Sky smiled as she grabbed onto Adney's hand. Her hand went to her belly. A curious look crossed her face as she grabbed Adney's hand and pressed it against her belly. The baby let out a kick at his father's hand. "We're having a baby." She commented. It really didn't hit her till now that there was this little guy called Blair in her.

Not surprised when Sky took his hand, he moved to leave the hospital. He stopped abruptly when she yanked his hand, turning to take in the odd look on her face. Allowing her to move his hand to her stomach, his face lit as he felt the movement. Normally he would tease her for making such an obvious statement, but he was a bit too excited at that moment. Even though he knew his son was in there and he knew he would be out in the world one day, it suddenly felt so much more real. Flashing a smile at his fiancée, he gives a small nod. "Seems like he's getting impatient." it was a joke, as neither of the child's parents were blessed with extreme patience. Smirking faintly now, he reached to take her hand to lead her from the clinic.

Sky was happy to take his hand. It really seemed more real to her that they were having a little redhead soon. He already was going to have two friends around his age along with two aunts and four uncles, plus another uncle as soon as he gets the guts to ask Tristan. His kid was set for life already. "He get's it from you." Sky commented as they walked out of the office.
