Kirin nodded. She moved away from the small group to a better viewpoint of the locust and boomers. When moving, even in the snow, she was practically silent on her feet. Once in position, she took aim with her sniper rifle. A shot rang out as she nailed the first locust on the turret with a single kill shot. Same went for the others on the turrets before they finally realized where Kirin was hiding.

Matthew gave the signal to move forward. "Cover Kirin!" He ordered as he stood up and ran towards the locust on the ground, his lancer was locked and loaded. "Snipe the locust on stop of the gate, make sure they don't get on the turrents!" He said to Kirin.
Tanner grinned and ran after Matthew, he pumped his shotgun and ran up to the nearest Boomer, before It could react, Tanner shoved the barrel of his gun Into the locust's face and pulled the trigger, bits and piece's of It's head, skull and brain scattered everywhere along with blood as the Boomer's big body fell over.

Nick ran out after Tanner and Matthew, his own shot gun in hand. He spotted a locust or two trying to get to Kirin but were easily being shot and fell to the ground dead with large holes in them.
Kirin nodded her thanks to Nickolas before taking aim at the locust on the gate. It wasn't long before they were shot down. One had taken hold of the turret and was just about shoot before being shot in the head, the blood getting all over the turret.

Tanner and Matthew made It to the front gate after taking down the other Boomer. They took out the last two locust grubs.
Matt looked for a way to open the gate without having to blow It up. "There's gotta be lever or switch somewhere...." He grumbled.
TK searched the walls beside the gate and tore some metal from the wall, he peeked through and saw a switch on the other side, he reached through the pulled the switch down. This caused the gate to open. He walked over to Matthew and smiled. "Found It."
Matt sighed but nodded a thank you to TK, he held his hand up towards Nick and Kirin and waved It towards the cave. That was a signal to move In.

Kirin and Nickolas hurried after Matthew and Tanner once the area was clear. Once at the cave, they each stood on one side before slowly creeping inside.

Matthew and Tanner followed them. After walking for what seemed like two miles, they came to two openings, one left, the other right.
"Kirin, Tanner. You two take the right, Nick, your with me." Matt said before jogging Into the left tunnel.

Kirin merely nodded to Matthew and led the way down the right tunnel. "Coming Tanner?" she snickered softly as she hurried on ahead.
Nickolas watched Kirin go, and he couldn't help feeling excited as he got to work with his brother on an actual mission. He ran after Matt as Nick had waited a few moments before following, lost in his little excitement episode.

Tanner sighed and followed Kirin. "Why do I have to be with you?" He said with a slight frown, he didn't mind being around Kirin but he always tended to fuss with her.
Matthew slowed down to a simple walk, he needed to save his energy In case they get Into another fight. He glanced at Nick and noticed how excited he was. "Excited to finally be on a mission bro?" He asked with a smile.

Kirin rolled her eyes as she continued leading the way. " 'Cause Mr. Leader said so," she said, referring to Matthew. "Besides, he might just want some time with his brother... or it's just so you can stop acting like a baby whenever you're around me," she teased with a wide grin.
Nickolas slowed down until the two of them were almost in step with one another, but he couldn't help his grin. "D-definitely," he said, stuttering only slightly because he was that excited. "I-i can't believe that this is my first mission~"

"That I understand, and I don't act like a baby around you!" He fussed. "Plus, you start most of It."
Matthew chuckled. "Don't let that get In the way of fighting now, I can't have you or the other's getting hole-y In here."

Kirin merely grinned and shrugged. "Then take them like a man instead of acting like a child." she said, pausing to turn around and face him.
Nickolas looked up at his brother for a moment before nodding, calming himself down.

"I don't act like a child and I don't take lightly to Insults'." He said as he paused as well, he was a bit confused why Kirin stopped.
"I'm not trying to be a downer or hurt your feelings, but this Is a real mission. Excited or not, some times you have to be serious or else things could turn out really bad. I've seen It happen more then once and barely gotten out alive." Matthew said before glancing down at his lancer.

Kirin watched him for a moment before turning around once again. In silence, she continued leading the way.
Nick watched his brother look down, and he copied him as he realized the situation they were in. He nodded a bit and looked up again, his eyes ahead of them as they continued down the tunnel.

Tanner titled his head slightly, he followed her again. "Something wrong?" He asked. "Or did you run out of Insults?"
Matthew watched him for a moment before glancing forward as well. "One more thing, I'm sorry If I get tough on you, I'm only doing my job as a leader and giving you the training you need."

Kirin just shrugged and continued walking. She didn't bother glancing behind her at Tanner in the silence. Mostly she was listening ahead of them for any enemies but there was something nagging in the back of her mind.
Nickolas nodded while keeping his gaze forward. "I know... It's what you do as leader and whatnot... and yeah, I need the training."
