The elder quietly closed the door with a genuine smile that curved her lips. Finally the clan was not daydreaming at the expense of the shadows. Isadora basically exiled her yet kept the mercy for some reason. If this "business endeavor" brought them fresh blood then it had achieved its original purpose. She stepped lightly letting the shadows rub her back subconsciously. It was never in her favor for her blood to abandon the clan yet she was branded a reason for the Countess dismay and outward puzzlement. Now she stood with the shadows more then against them. It was dark now as moonlight flooded in the great hall as the lonely call of the BSD racked the quiet night. Seems she was on the hunt once more as she always was. For a moment Aurora shuddered for the thought of a pack was a bit trifling. The nasty beasts were useful and if they were to turn on the clan there would be trouble.
She headed toward the grand stairs back to her room to scribe her recent meeting in thick ink colored in indigo. Now to wait and listen for the upcoming trials. Placing her paw upon the banister she began ascending to the second floor.

He had made his way from the confines of his club, walking the streets and heading to the manse. He knew the location, knew it well. It was like a beacon to all of his kind, all the shadows were to gather here at one point or the other. Now Rene made his way inside, his dark hair pulled back from his face by a thick bow, the silken ties falling down his back and mingling with the purple silk of his shirt.
It was as he entered her took notice of the retreating form of Aurora, he grinning and nodding his head in her direction. "Never have I set eyes upon such a pale, beautiful sight a I have this night upon entrance to this haven." He chuckled and moved to one knee giving her a flourishing bow. "I beg a word, my elder..."

Aurora was deep in thought as she descended one step at a time. Still pondering her thoughts she paused momentarily as a presence entered her domain. His voice was smooth as the velvet under the pads of her feet as his looks probably carried his whole persona into a delightful entourage. Never was a Lasombra bred and born of dissatisfying taste in looks or disdain.
Her lips curved with eagerness as her body turned slowly to look upon her newest visitor to the manse. It seemed Lasombra members were starting to trickle out of the woodwork these days which in turn made her look more as an elder.
"Well now" she spoke as her eyes laid upon his handsome features, "It is late but for you I shall listen..." she paused then thought of the new register of names. Not many males were entering the manse so indeed it had to be the club owner she took interest in wanting to learn more about.
"Rene Lefevre... Yes I read about your forth coming into the clan. Not many males join the clan so willingly after our now departed Ante had how do you say, Scared them all away." She stepped off the stairs then and glided toward him as her eyes lingered within his handsome stature.
"Now come call me Aurora for formalities are not needed. What word have you with me?", she smiled earnstly at him thogh her thoughts were almost mortal as slowly she felt her somber heart from a distance beat once again.

Rene smiled and lifted his head, he giving his elder a smile that could melt ice. He rose from the ground and pushed the slightest bit of hair from his eyes. He was all velvet an silk, his eyes like burning fire as he listened to her words. "You are too kind, Aurora...but you are what you are, and my elder deserves respect." He took her hand in his and placed a chaste kiss against the back. "I come to inform you of the club's success. We have brought in those of other clans, and clanless...though we have yet to lure in the pompous puppets of the Camarilla. I have seen the sight of a fiend as well as clanless brats at my doors and they seem to wish to linger." He gave a look of disdain at the mention of the clanless that dared come to his club, but all the same, the woman had been gorgeous, even if her chosen mate seemed to not enjoy sharing her.

For a moment his words were pouring like ambrosia into her ears as sweet as honey. It had been ages since she lingered in another's presence so willingly years since....
Clearing her mid she pushed away unwanted thoughts, "Ah the club yes I was reading up on that. Camarilla love their disdain and partying with the eloquent be certain it will draw out their likes before you can even notice. Things of grandeur and enjoyment seem to draw out anything with class. I am quite pleased though you're doing so well."
She smiled at him still though her composure wasn't showing her admiration of him. Surely the ladies at his club swooned over his debonair looks and disposition. She mentally smacked herself, "Now that you've arrived I shall leave you in on our progress. Currently two of our Neonates are stepping up with gathering recruits. If they are successful we hopefully will have three more that are more then adequate to step up from fledgelings to Neonates. With your club and Lasombra Inc. we shall let Countess see that the clan is within capable hands after everything it has been through. The shadows will and shall rise once again."

The man smiled and watched her closely, even as she shared the current state of the clan with him. He could tell she was handing on his every word, the look on her face, though well hidden, was there all the same. He laughed and nodded to her. "Yes...the shadows shall take their place in power once again...as we should have always been..." He smirked and moved along at her side, his smile never once fading. "The club has been working on drawing in new people...though it seems the regulars are those that arrive...There are whispers in the wind that the Camarilla is regrouping....that their newly elected Prince is taking over and organizing them once more. This could mean bad things for us, my elder...That and with the stirrings of our god, I cannot see that this will get better before getting worse."

"Be they better or worse the clan shall remain strong. Cameron's idiocy nearly destroyed us and I'll be certain in my words that such an atrocity shall never happen again." The thought of the Ante pulling the shadows into a weary haze was not anything one should ever be proud of. The elder blamed him for her own blood's betrayal in leaving the Manse; even if Countess placed the blame solely on her.
She nodded listening to him still, "Rumors are upon the wind of the clans recruiting like mad it seems. Even that dog we use for errands has been growing anxious in something coming. The whispers make me wonder of everything and you Rene are my best source of information with your club" She smiled lightly though her body shuddered around him.
"We must be vigilant and be prepared no matter what the case. Countess will be arriving home soon and I don't wish bad omens to settle upon this Manse like a murder of crows." She walked beside him so close now that his scent made her still shiver. It had been ages since she felt this way.

"I assure you, my elder, the return of the countess will be heralded with nothing but good news...the fact that the Camarilla is recruiting means they were suffering from the off, which means time is in our favor at this point. Though it does trouble m to know that the god stirs. Caine will not be kind to those that are weak, you know this." He could feel her drawing closer to him, he daring to snake and arms around her waist, he smirking. "I will do all I can to gather all the information you need...Madame Van Alexandria..I am your loyal servant...and willing at that.." His eyes darkened, his smile widening as he watched her, his grip only tightening on her waist.
Jehane had had her fill of her childer, the woman having been quite the treat after all these games. She had brought her back to the manse, settled her in. She now lounged about in her room, taking time for herself, she having donned a black satin gown in place of her normal vest and hat, he short hair abit of a mess, but still styled. She wondered how her male counterpart had done, had he enjoyed the thrill of the hunt as much as she did. She chuckled as she thought of him, his elegance, and how he turned a phrase. He intrigued her, he never far from her thoughts.

Aurora nodded, "Yes the God stirring makes me wonder what's coming. As I mentioned the dog is stirring as well which makes me wonder if the wolves are restless. There hasn't been a time where such concern was instated or even recognized. We did well to gather new clan members before the storm opens to the real truth".
Her words spoke true yet her thoughts were focused upon her companion that pulled her closer making her shiver silently. She held her composure outwardly but yet he made her thoughts much like water that swished about in an unstable container. Though if Countess were to part the veil suddenly and intrude on this moment of bliss she had to remain intact; but it was so hard which the elder knew he was enjoying every moment of.
Clearing her throat she spoke once more, "Tell me Rene about your club, things of its appeal and intrigue. I'm sure you draw in many a pretty eye or two but what does your club really hold in its shadowy appeal, hmm?"
Ah the perfect cover to help her remain a higher authority... even if it was for a little while.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Aramis headed up the silent steps toward his room then he paused. Both Jeanne and he had fulfilled their business. He inhaled the air taking in mysterious female's scent. She intrigued him strangely enough since the young Neonate didn't really take notice to anyone in the Manse. It was better to do as you were told and followed through on obligations. He was unsure what it was about her that he admired but secretly he wanted to see her again.
His bloodlust was sated as he had drank from Jest and brought him to the Shadows. Strangely the aloof male felt drunk yet energized by his childer's lifeforce. He shjook his head then headed toward Jehanne's door. Raising his hand up as it curled in a small open fist he knocked lightly three times, "Jehanne. Are you still up?"
Aramis desired to talk with her but yet his mind wondered why. He decided on the fact to check on her and see how her embracing went. Casual conversation was always something avoided but this moment he desired to hear her, just be with her.

"With all the information you gather, my elder....you do not know the nature of my club?" He grinned and let his hand slide along her hip, moving over the round of it before sliding back up and forward before falling away. His eyes darkened as he teased her, watching every little reaction of her body. He had learned early on how to read the body, every little motion, breath, or bat of eye. He grinned and turned to look ahead of them as they moved on. "My club caters to a rather...select group of people, those that are interested in the darker side of life, tempting that which we are with the fictions the mortal artists wish to bring to light. A..."Vampire club" as it were with darker pleasures around the edges, and plenty of ...hedonistic pleasures....my elder..."
~~~~~
Jehane heard those three soft knocks, she smiling and grabbing a robe from the foot of her bed. She wrapped the shear, black garment about her body, it doing little to hide her body, as she walked to the door, she carefully pulling it open. Finding Aramis on the other side she grinned, she nodding to him once. "Aramis...to what do I owe this honor so late in the evening?" She carefully moved aside and let him take a step into her room. She could not help but think thoughts of him, and now, he stood there, in her room. She blushed slightly, but it was gone in seconds. "I trust...the embracing went as planned?" She slowly closed the door behind her, leaning against it, simply watching him.
