People were still talking, still not doing anything. The topic was still on the subject of the chibi as a group and how it was so horrible that they were recruited.

Hygiea didn't notice. A leopard had walked into the room. A talking leopard had walked into the room. Brain, it had exploded. Her orange eyes were wide and she let out a very gleeful little squawk. "Holy s**t, it talks." She squealed, her voice high pitched and just so amazed.

Goodbye attention. It was now taken by a giant talking cat.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 31, 2011 11:18 pm

Hug-bell's head swiveled from where her previous attention was to a talking Leopard. "Hello Mr. Leopard." She was looking at Hypnos curiously when the girl called him Big Kitty; but since the other girl hadn't answered the previous question of concern the other chibi had, nothing more was said.

Her attention then turned to Zinkenite, "I believe he can be reasoned with." She said softly, "Wolframite would be the one hard to reason with." She added with a small frown, she'd seen Zinkenite she knew he had a softer side; she just couldn't voice directly that to all the senshi.

There was a sweet smile back on her face, "If I go fly a kite, you'd have to come with me so we can talk about why I'm actually here." Her butter yellow eyes were trained on him with a serious look. "If you hadn't actually gone picking on other children maybe I wouldn't have had to come here to stop you."

She paused looking from Zink to Leopard eye, "I think he's too big to recruit anyone." She pointed out with a shrug noticing Cora seeming to be protected by Leopard's eye. That was good, the cream colored kitty seemed to be the meeker of all of the kitties she'd met before.

Hug-bell seemed confused at Egeria, "In all the stories my mother tells me all animals can talk." She said softly with a pause looking to the Leopard and then the cats, "Maybe they all really do, just most don't talk to humans."

Suddenly there was a hand on Polaris' skirt tugging softly, Hug-bell was looking up at the older girl, "There are lot of them that think that. Iris might not have meant you but the others that are thinking just that." Yellow eyes scanned the room of all those around. There might not be anyone here that thought that, but Hug-bell knew there were too many that did. She was glancing around the room, observing what was there....

"Hygiea, are you going to be able to heal if anyone needs it?" Only one known healer on the team may cause a slight problem... Granted Hug-bell wasn't sure as she hadn't played any really big video games, just a few basic kiddy ones.

----

Niflhel lofted his brow as everyone spoke, the Leopard showing up was a bit of a shock. "Huh..." He looked at Polaris, "Wasn't he from that dream that broke my arm?" He asked thinking he'd seen that particular talking leopard before, though he wasn't completely sure.

Though he placed a hand on Polaris to still her, "There's no sense in fighting with our Allies. Despite differences in opinions fighting against each other won't stop this war." He added softly in a small reminder that, they were indeed in a battle that wasn't going to end pleasantly. He knew war well enough from his father's harpings, granted his father didn't know about this war.

"Do you think we need to worry about more negaverse agents or just the big bug?" He asked her softly, trying to keep it between them and the one or two that might be close enough to over hear.

“Oh yes… god forbid that the senshi set a good example. Always ‘someone else did it first. Why should I have expected any better from a fowl mouthed red neck hussy in a tiny skirt trying to prove she’s more than…. blond.” His eyes almost smiled but something of it died before they ever reached the icy gaze.

His gaze drifted to Hug-bell “I think it’s clear why you’re here, the problem is you still believe it’s right. You still follow people who are letting you fight FOR them well before you should ever have seen battle. That’s all I’m afraid there is to say for now Hug-bell. Kite flying had best be done alone this time.”

He glanced at Wolframite and then over the newly assembled and made a small ‘Hmph’ Sound. “I won’t be a moment.” He said and shifted his stance slightly. “I wouldn’t want to be rude when they’ve been so nice as to come to visit.”

He winked out of existence with a small rush of air to fill the sudden void he had just created. It was time to show the Senshi that they came prepared.
PostPosted: Fri Sep 02, 2011 8:06 pm

Wolframite was having a hard time concentrating. With each passing moment, more blinks of senshi energy were dotting the field and their annoying banter increased with it. Before long, they would only grow in number, and they were already sizing up Siphonata as the main threat and the biggest monster to deal with. While he had only two other officers for backup, he knew that this would be tricky, and it wasn't like he could fight.

While his eyes tried to catch movement from the corner of his one working eye, he felt a bead of sweat roll down his brow as he focused on gathering the energy as quickly as he could. It wasn't exactly a process he could rush, and then he caught Zinkenite turn and leave. A split second of panic raced through him before he realized what was probably happening. Well, now was as good a time as any.

Zink is gathering Negas. Negas can now join! You can pretend Zink called you up on the crystal that senshi are gathering and interfering with an energy harvest.

Luckily enough, a certain someone happened to be in town when his crystal had beckoned. The Captain was more than willing to take on Senshi of any age or size, and even more willing to lend a hand with any operation he could while he was still in Destiny City, which now-a-days was only from Friday until midnight Sunday. It left Bismuthite twitchy. Thirsting for a fight.

And here one was. Quite near where he'd been patrolling in fact. Small miracles did happen on occasion. He'd been just out of range to actually feel the strongest of the energy signatures, but still, very near. And he wasted no time in running, jumping, vaulting over fences, and the like to get there.

He passed through the first room, then he just barely peeked in the door when she could see a couple exchanging whispers. Whispers could be dangerous. Collaboration, preparing to attack, whatever it was they were doing, Bismuthite would surely go interrupt it.

"Oh, you have more to worry about than just one big bug~" came a velvety purr from behind Niflhel and Polaris as the Negaverse Captain teleported behind the two

For all that he looked like s**t these days, as Bismuthite he found that he could still muster up some of his innate assholish-ness. Enough for a villain-ish one-liner or two, anyway. And to put on that smug, confidant, facade. It perhaps made up for the tired, strained, look to his face, the disheveled silver hair, and sandy stubble. He was the ragged ghost of something once great, proud, and polished.

But he was here. He would have come anyway, but to hear that it was Wolframite's operation? Well, it was no wonder he spared little time arriving. Had he not communicated that he would be there should he need him? He fully intended to make good on his promise. Together or not.

Maia was focused on Wolfy her mind whirling, she wanted to know what he was doing and more so she wanted to be up there. Now however was not to the time to be thinking about pay back, for tons of bruises and a broken shoulder. Still she spoke the words looking to Valhalla, "I have to get up there," she wasnt really talking to him.

She was drawn from her thoughts by Hugbells words wanting to laugh a bit looking to Leopards eye wandering how she managed to miss his entrance. "Hello again," she said though she didn't think they officially met in Elysion.

Turning again she noticed the new voice was Niflhel from the youma hunting contest and she gave a small wave, before turning forward only to spin around at the new voice. Her eyes went wide.

She knew him, "Bismuthite," the pink nega and at the top of the BMC hit list. She shivered slightly. Wolframite was dangerous and so was this guy, very much so. She grabs Valhalla's wrist clutching it tightly, wondering if he knew. If he knew she'd been one of them.

Zirconia's confidence in getting out of here with minimal damage increased with every ally appearing, even if that blonde senshi near ********* was... um... Well she was something.

Leopard's Eye had arrived and she tried her best to pretend he wasn't there. Not that there was necessarily animosity, she was just trying to pretend Elysion never happened. And he had connections to Helios, which made the parallel uneasy by default.

The fluffy cat took to skittering in a figure eight around Valhalla and Maia's ankles when she saw the nearby senshi of music shiver, and then gave her calf a little headbutt for good measure. There was no reason to be afraid of Pinky, she wanted to assure her, although, Zirconia had her own issues with Bisthumite.

She'd never had direct contact with him, but he did kill one of her own and for that, she was hoping someone would smash his skull on the floor evantually.

Her eyes left her observation of some ancient scaffolding to see the new arrival as Niflhel mentioned him, nodding softly in agreement. She had been fairly busy throwing magnetic lava rock at back guys during that battle, but she remembered the guardian.

She had already quieted down, but the hand on her arm certainly helped to sooth her irritation subtly, nodding gently to his advice. She knew, she knew. Sometimes it was hard to hold her tongue though.

Regarding his question for a moment, she leaned in gently to reply. "My guess is that the agents are far more dangerous... and we should be more cautious of them. That said... I imagine they'll retreat as soon as we destroy the bug, as par usual." The had that cowardly teleporting that they always seemed to pull out whenever the odds swayed out of their favor. "So try to take out the bug, but be very cautious of the negaverse"

Even with the feeling of new dark energies arriving, Polaris couldn't help but jump a little as the voice sounded behind them, teal eyes glaring at the unfamiliar agent behind them. He didn't feel that powerful.. but nonetheless.. being surrounded was never good. She shifted so that she could see both Bismuthite and the bug in opposite periphrials.

"Christmas...?" Valhalla wondered out loud, glancing to the senshi standing around. It was painfully obvious that he wasn't as experienced as the rest of them, but he wasn't going to stand around and do nothing. "I don't know what Elysion is, either," he admitted as he focused back on the youma and the Negaverse officers before them. "I've only been in a couple of fights that involved more than just a few people... One at the camp..." The other was when he'd been held hostage for a brief moment before Europa was able to free him from a general's grip. It had been the closest he'd come to dying, he figured.

He looked up at Wolframite when he was pointed out by Maia, frowning and unsure whether he was really taking her warning to heart. Maybe he was too soft for fighting...? He didn't want people getting hurt, at least. And these people, all of them, had normal lives outside of this powered business, right...? Valhalla glanced over at Zinkenite as well when he was pointed out. "They look like they're just children," he said softly, not to anyone in particular. Neither of them could have been any older than he was... It just felt, well, wrong... fighting those who were younger than himself. Not that he was all that old! He'd only just turned nineteen, but still.

"Please be careful?" he asked Hug-Bellas the child senshi agreed on the name of the young boy with a dark presence of energy around him. He'd seen her before, at the camp, but that didn't make him feel any more confident in the fact that there were children running around, getting hurt and possibly being killed.

"What if we don't have an offensive magic attack?" Valhalla glanced over at Polaris, noting her energy level as well. He was surrounded by eternal senshi it seemed. Including the one who was cursing up a storm. He would have told her, himself, to watch her language around the children, but it looked like that was being taken care of by others. And he knew that, although he had no magic, he could at least physically attack it. He would just have to get in for close range.

"Valhalla... of Jupiter," he introduced himself to those around that cared to listen. He already knew Maia, so he could at least stay with her, but he liked the idea of being, well, not useless to the others as well.

He'd opened his mouth to say something else, but whatever it had been was quickly replaced with "L-Leopard!" His eyes widened in surprise, staring at the large cat, before glancing back to Maia in shock, "There's a le-- is he a guardian cat, too??" he sputtered, trying not to stare at the spotted cat. Or was it a Jaguar? He could never tell the difference... Maybe he shouldn't be surprised by things like this by now, but... jeez... What next? Lions and tigers? And bears??

His thoughts were interrupted when there were suddenly more with dark energy present, and nearly jumped when Maia grabbed onto his wrist. "Don't do anything without me," he warned her, not wanting her to run off and fight on her own, but allowing her to hold onto his wrist for however long she wanted. "Care to stay close as well?" he glanced down at the mass of fur by his ankles, surprise that Zirconia was there, too... Well, he probably shouldn't be surprised, should he.

"Do you guys think you can handle the smaller bugs while we cover you?" he asked, turning to Hug-Bell, Hypnos, Egeria, Hygiea, and Ixion, keeping his arm elevated for Maia to keep hold of as he squatted down to be on the Chibi Senshi's level. He hated, hated seeing that they were putting themselves in danger. Hated that a guardian cat had awoken them at such a young age... but what were they supposed to tell them? Sit on the sidelines and let the adults handle it? They all clearly wanted to fight, or at least do something to help. "I think if you guys all worked on taking out the smaller bugs, we can get out of here faster. Try and stay together? I can help when you need it."

He offered them all a smile and thumbs up, and stood back up to keep an eye on where the youma and multiplying Negaverse officers were. His stomach was tied in knots, but he was pretty sure that was because he was scared of what might happen to the children... He wished there was a way to end this peacefully, but even the senshi seemed ready for blood.

Hug-bell sighed at Zink, "Oh come on..." And then he poofed... Right they could do that, she forgot... She'd remembered scheelite having done it a few times but she didn't know about the others.

That was when another nega showed up right behind them, her arms crossed staring at him. "Shouldn't you be up there before you get your but kicked?" She'd seen Niflhel almost jerk like he was going to hit Bismuthite but something had stopped the knight. She glanced down to Zirconia who was busy running around Valhalla and Maia; regarding her with another curious glance.

Most of the adult talk was ignored until Valhalla said something that made her pause, it was the straw that broke the camel's back and sent the kid into a rant. "Are you serious!?" Her voice pitched slightly higher in frustration, "Cover us!? We just beat that whole room back there, by ourselves!"

Her arms crossed and yellow eyes narrowed, "You're just as doubting of us as Zirconia is and a lot of the other senshi. I'm tried of it, we're senshi too; stop treating us like normal kids. We called you for help because we knew we couldn't handle that bug on our own, but if you tell me we can't help with it I'm going to show you we can do it. We are not useless and if we have to prove it to you we will. Our friends and family are in danger too, I'm not sitting out on the sidelines watching them get hurt."

She looked towards the others hoping they agreed. She wsan't sure if they ran into the same problem but this was getting ridiculous fast. She was also looking at Bismiuthite as if daring him to say something about their age too.

A Wandering Esper

Beloved Stargazer

PostPosted: Sat Sep 03, 2011 9:40 am

The call had come at a slightly inopportune time for Fluorite - she was in middle of an energy gathering session with a particularly wriggly drunk when the familiar voice of General Zinkenite came from her communicator crystal.

This wasn't a plan she had been involved in, but nonetheless... Nonetheless, the civilian was knocked out with a swift backhand and she abandoned him in the alley, taking to the roofs.

She had bigger fish to fry. Teleporting would have been faster, but unwise - so she ran her way through the few blocks that separated her hunting ground from the other's location, and jumped a neat jump off the last building, landing right next to Wolframite, blades taking form in her hands with practiced ease.

The children, through.... Damn the senshi. Damn them. "I don't think I can... hurt the kids, Wolf." It wasn't so long ago that Wolframite had been her direct superior, and her voice still carried all of that respect, in spite of their equal rank. but low enough so that none of the others could hear.

The older senshi did not need to know of her weakness. But the others... Well, with luck, she'd come home with a starseed. She could only hope not to break down... again. Not in front of her equals and superiors.

She stood on top of her 4'11" at last, straightening up from her landing. "To the youngest of you - go home ! There's no need for you to be involved ! There's no need for you to fight, no matter what your allies have told you !" She stood only slightly taller than some of the chibis, and the only thing that made it clear that she was older was the fact that... Well, she had a chest that her uniform made effort to hide. "To the rest of you... Are you really so unable to fight your own battles that you must hide behind children ? Their lost innocence will be paid in blood."

She'd fully expected that the others had said much the same thing.... But she still had to try.

They wouldn't listen.

Alunite knew that. He'd given up on having the senshi understand the wrongness of their actions a long time ago. He had no idea if the belief of their wrongness was so buried into their psyche that it was nearly impossible to uproot, or if there was outright mind-control involved.

All he could really do was be glad to have been saved from... from this.

He wasn't with the main group just yet - but the agents could feel him, clearly, from his perch. The senshi, perhaps not. It was always a tricky thing, figuring exactly how his aura reached.

He wasn't in the mood for theatrics today, not right now. Not... with the kids here. He loved to creep out the older ones, but then children ?

Had no place here.

So he waited, ready, for the battle to begin. Backup that the senshi would not expect, but that the agents knew would be coming,

Maia was upset but she calmed at Zirc bumming against her. She was an eternal she needed not to act like this. She needed to remember her training, she didnt want her worried to cloud her judgement. She released Valhalla when he went down to level with the chibi's but his words almost made him snatch him back up.

Maia worried about the chibi's just the same as the other's, but the other's needed to see. They needed to see what she saw.

Hugbell's rant made her jaw drop and she frowned her disapproval showing, but still she stepped up beside Hugbell. "She's right. I'm hearing it over and over again. It's okay to worry for them, but they are capable. Very capable. Still," she looked to Hugbell, "now is not the time for that argument."

She gave Valhalla a glare, "your coming with me when this over," she pointed to Zirc, "you too."

She looked up at Fluorite and shook her head, "We are not forcing them," she said loudly, but not shouting.

There was a talking Leopard. With Hypnos. Ixion wondered if maybe that was that was her guardian cat, or the little kitty. Which made him want to know where it came from and how he could get one. Ixion spied Hypnos with a tinge of jealousy, however at the same time he was glad for her. The girl wasn’t exactly like himself or Hug-Bell or even Hygeia; she wasn’t struggling to prove her worth in a battle. She had been oddly quiet and sulky it seemed. Maybe Hypnos was just softer. So at least now she had a fierce leopard to protector her. Ixion didn’t need to look out for her then.

What he needed to do was concentrate on the large amount of Negas coming onto the scene. There were so many he had never seen before… and most of them were barely taller than himself it seemed. Was everyone in the Negaverse tiny? Surely as a super senshi he’d be able to take on some of these evil doers. So when Valhalla instructed them to stick to the small bugs, Ixion was just as defiant as Hug-Bell.

“Hell no. I won’t just hang around a squish little bugs. Been there, done that, won that fight already. “ Ixion stared at the page hard, his face was still red with bite marks from the pests.

“Too easy really. I can take care of myself. I have magic that can help, those things don’t like heat or fire, I have it. I can help! What can YOU do?” Ok, so Ixion’s fire power was literally only the size of his fist and only coal embers and not a flaming ball, but still. To him, Ixion was more useful as a super senshi with magic than a page with a… was that a compass? He gestured to the Negaversers "and as far as they go, they don't look so tough."

Ixion shifted his glare from Valhalla to Fluorite. The boy didn't say anything, only gave her a sharp glare. He was not going to leave, and he wasn't just a child.

Valhalla stared at Hug-Bell in exasperation, ignoring Maia's half-hearted agreement. Did she not listen to what he said, either?

"Right, cover you. As in you attack and I made sure you don't get jumped from behind!!" he snapped back, not liking to be treated like he was some jerk who was telling them to sit in the corner. They wanted to fight, then fine! He was fine with them fighting, but heaven forbid he want to be able to keep an eye on all of them. "You're at a better level to kill the suckers than I am! And I'd never tell you to sit on the sidelines! If you're here to play the game, then play it. Listen before you start shouting," little snot...

No, he didn't like that children were fighting, but jeez, he'd be the last to tell them to back down. He'd been told to sit on the side too many times in his youth and wasn't going to start encouraging others to do something he hated.

Ixion as well. Again, he was surprised at how disorganized they were, especially when they refuse to listen when he was on their side and all for letting them take out whatever they wanted. He stared at the young boy, suddenly reminded of his own brother and was having a difficult time knowing that he was about to watch them fight and possibly get hurt.

"What can I do?" he repeated, frowning at the child. "I'm pretty good with my fastball, and if I had something to swing, I can hit pretty hard, but," he paused, kneeling down again so he didn't have to talk down to the kid. "They don't like heat? You're sure? Do you think we can find something to heat up or catch fire?" He paused again, knowing how crappy they must feel to be constantly talked to like they didn't know what they were doing. He felt bad... "It wasn't my intention to make you just kill the small bugs," he explained, since he hadn't been given the chance. "I thought if we were able to get rid of the little ones first, we'd all be able to focus on the big one together. That's all."

Valhalla glanced up when he heard one of the Negaverse officers calling for the Chibi senshi to go home. "Why?" he called back to Fluorite. "Afraid you're gonna get your butt kicked by a bunch of kids?" Some of these kids were more experienced than even he was. He wasn't about to underestimate them, despite their age, and despite what they expect. Youth is a powerful weapon. They just had to make sure to protect it as best they could.

Maia frowned, but she did not want to fight her allies. This was a prime example of what their side was lacking. They were broken apart and lacking coordination and understanding of one another. Her point wasn't to make them argue more, but to keep them from arguing.

Oh that was better, even if Ixi had cursed causing Maia to glare a bit even if she felt so so proud of her little friends. It showed in her eye, good job Ixi, good job and he was a super now too!

Her eyes slid back to Valhalla and she nodded, grinning when he spoke to Flourite. Argument evaded, she hoped. She was still going to kidnap him after the battle, Zirc too. It didn't really have anything to do with the battle. More Val needing an info session and now not being the time for that.

"I can slow them down, but it might be better ...." she looked up where Wolframite, Flourite and Alunite gathered.
