It doesn't matter, you can always just eat another hotdog. I learned that from a monk. mrgreen

My SH would be something amazing... for me anyway.
It would be full of impossible places. I'd probably go into something like an apartment or something, then find an extra level of room, get lost, freak out and eventually end up in some dark tunnels under the apartments that never existed, where I'd be doomed to roam forever trying to escape the monsters of my mind.

Soooo, you would basically end up in a Silent Hill Labyrinth of sorts? Kinda like the one in Homecoming or even the one in SH2? That would kind of suck... Rule of thumb, if you ever find urself in that situation, just stick to the right hand wall and eventually ull find the exit... I learned that from a cornfield maze. mrgreen

.....yes... a sense of humor... one of my all time favorite comedic moments was when Pyramid Head killed maria... oh and the other time he killed maria.... and I could never forget that other time he killed maria. Sheesh at what point does james just sit back smoking a Cig and say "you know what, I should of seen this coming"? stressed

And, sorta like a labyrinth. I was thinking more like the house in Rose Red or even better, the hospital in the movie Grave Encounters. If you see/have seen that movie, you'll get what I mean by impossible places and times.

All I know is, I am hoping Silent Hill will regard my vast knowledge of itself and will spare my life in the hopes I can spread the word to more people. Not sure what you would call that, but it is a worthy cause by any stretch.

^Works for me.

12 years, over 7k posts (7 years and a moderating position) on SHHF and much of the merchandise, I'd hope that Silent Hill would let me live too, but I doubt it! XD

Then again-- what if our vast knowledge puts us in the crosshairs for elimination... eek

Thats quite the dilemna you bring up, but suppose the two of us paired up for combined intellect? Whats worse, could you imagine what CRAZY... FAR OUT THERE creatures silent hill would have to come up with to diminish and challenge people like us WITH a vast knowledge already going in? It's like Clash of the Titans: Silent Hill

Both. Guess that means you've made an epiphany, eh?

EPIPHANY!!!! eek eek eek eek eek

I really am the Receiver of Wisdom lol Quick, someone else give me a question to ponder! twisted Actually, I ponder quite often why the original creators of Silent Hill chose that name... I mean, I suppose one can question the origin of titles from many games but... Silent Hill just fits perfectly for the area... its as if the name was just the one it needed. I just always wondered what inspired it.

Ponder this. Why do hot dogs come in packs of 10 and hot dog buns come in packs of 8? lol cool

did you just reference bulletproof monk? or was that just something random?

Part of me would love to say, 'Pssh! Of course I'd survive.' But I know that's not true. Even if I did, I'd have to live with the nightmares and memories of living through it, the things I had to do, and the personal demons that I would have to physically encounter. I can't put into words what they'd look/be like, maybe someone else can. I don't like being ignored, and I'm the kind of person who NEEDS to plan things before even attempting it. So straight away, Silent Hill would just totally mess me up.
I'd probably kill myself. It would be wonderful to survive, but I like to try and avoid negative things that will linger with me for ages, and I'm sure that being in Silent Hill for real would be one of those things.
However, if I wanted to commit suicide, and let's say, for example, that I was that depressed before entering Silent Hill for whatever reason, would Silent Hill even let me? Would it make me wander around the foggy streets, screaming and crying for some kind of escape, and having a complete breakdown when it becomes clear that I can't?
To me that sounds like the worst thing. Being prevented from reaching the one thing you want most.
/end angst.

If you were depressed going into Silent Hill, I would imagine it would strongly resemble what you are feeling.... perhaps lots of rain, like in Downpour.... heavier fog.... a lot more darkness.... But you see, Silent Hill isn't about just surviving.... You are there for a purpose... there's always a reason..... you would need to find or understand what your reason is. Then you confront your problem to find an absolute resolution. Now, you can die in Silent Hill clearly from the games... So I imagine you could very well quit and just off yourself. The thing is, none of the characters wanted to. Not even Murphy who was probably the most clueless as to why he was there.

The big connection to make, mo ii yo, is Silent Hill is a big metaphor for our real lives. We have our demons, our greatest fears.... and we have issues we must confront if we are ever to find happiness with the situation. Silent Hill is an almost literal, picturesque form of our internal struggles in a quest for self-understanding and satisfaction.

If I were in Silent Hill I would.....Would not learn my lesson and have to restart over again just like an ending in downpour do all good then at the very end choose the bad option

If I were in Silent Hill I'd probably last no longer than an hour. Maybe more but it all depends, like if I am ready to face my punishment as my inner fears come to life, monsters that reflect my sins and guilt. And above all if i am willing to learn my life lesson- which I probably wont and be stuck in silent hill forever mrgreen

Ah, but if you realize now that you would choose the wrong option, could you not also realize this and make note to do the opposite of your original intent? Thus doing good and making the right choice at the end knowing its the better thing to do? I would say you learned your lesson 3nodding
