Yeah izumi's ok? he's like the fourth best character

Izumi is an interesting character. In the anime, his character was majorly simplified. If anything happened, it was Izumi's fault. xP End of story. Although in the end, he wasn't so bad.. Not to mention, in the anime we know nothing about him. Except he's a sadistic fiend that likes to torture people. And he's somewhat perverted.... Trying to get Mitsuki to kiss him like that. Shame. ninja

In the manga, he was so much more complex... He seems like a bad guy, but there's so much more to him. And the manga-ka said herself that Izumi and Mitsuki are the most similar. I really don't see it, but one must trust the manga-ka in all things regarding their own work. xP And he cares for Mitsuki so much more... and not obsessed with taking her soul.

Yeah... and that's the reason why she drew Mitsuki and Izumi so much more physically closer than the rest of the characters. And I've read some Mitsuki/Izumi fanfics that were done by amazing fanfic authors. They were probably the best authors of the Full Moon genre on ff.net... yet chose to write with the Mitsuki/Izumi pairing. And I can see it.

So do I! mrgreen Mitsuki/Takuto are just an adorable pairing.

Although I do believe that Izumi is now my favorite all time character in Full Moon. I was re-reading the manga... and I just adore him now. So, I'm an Izumi fan now. Always and forever. Wh00t.

I'd have to say that the best word to describe Izumi would be 'misunderstood.'

-- Now we start off showing Izumi as one who is kinda sneaky and watchful over the Negiramen group (1st Volume, hiding in a tree with Jonathon). In the 2nd Volume we see that he actually goes after Mitsuki's soul after letting her give chase to him. Once she 'catches' him he states that he has come for her soul but he never actually gets it. Later on he tries once more but is quickly brought down by Takuto. He argues alot with everyone in these moments which may give people the impression that he is 'bad' but Meroko states in Volume 3 that all shinigami outside of the pediatrics ward are cold-hearted somewhat. So initially you think "IZUMI IS BAD!" well... Now to go to spoilers...
The reason I think Izumi is so 'cold-hearted' is because of his horrible past. When he was young his father left them and so his mother blamed it on Izumi and constantly beat him. Years later Izumi jumps in front of an oncoming train hoping that his mother would call out to him and as Izumi was hit by the train the last thing he saw was his mother smiling. So naturally he thinks she was happy that he died. So Izumi held on to that grudge which pretty much iced over his heart. But then Meroko comes and basically softens him up again and so on and so forth
I didn't really have much time to type this but its just how I think people get the impression he is bad xD

Izumi-kun... He's my third favorite!

I really didn't understand him at first, of course, I assumed he had a troubled past from the moment he was introduced. Not quite sadistic, but more mischivious and minipulative... I really enjoyed his character just because of the drama he causes. (And of course, him being misunderstood and all.)
