Anorelle Just because you have the lolita clothings, and lolita fashion in your hands.. it does not mean that you are a true lolita. Lolita is not just a fashion statement. If you consider yourself as a lolita- you will have to have the heart of a lolita. ^-^ (And of course- have fondness and interest over lolita things. <3)
I cannot buy much dresses and loli clothings as much as I'd like right now, since I'm still at school and doing my major studies.. but once I earn my own money, when I go off to university- then perhaps I can gather enough to buy myself few things loli. I've already started to collect few loli stuff, the other day I bought a cute pair of pull-ups with pink ribbons on it. ^0^
Basically, you do not have to wear full loli outfits to be a lolita. So for those of you who doesn't have the loli dresses or simply can't afford one for yourself right now- (like moi) don't think that you cannot be a lolita! Go out shopping for little bits and bobs of loli styled clothings and accessories! :3 And wear that cuteness in your heart. heart
Well said! I thinnk that besides the clothing alot of things that make you "Lolita" are your mannerisms.

It's strange that noone likes to wear loli in the winter - I certainly do! o.o --- Sadly I must admit to being a sort of casual loli .. ;.; - skirts and shirts when they're clean - stockings and maryjanes too - I don't have any full loli dresses yet.... but! I do plan on saving up and buying this "hardcore" number o.o : ^^;;;; it'll take me a while though ;-; ... And I also plan on sewing some outfits for myslef when I start my clothing line xP

I'm mostly just curious about the style, although I tend to be attractived to clothes that have lolita elements in them (sometimes they look horrible on me, though. sweatdrop )

I think that it's an adorable style, and I dress up whenever I can with what I have. But I'm basically a goth/gothic/punkish hybrid... I fit somewhere in those, But I'm not just one thing. Anyway, casual overall.

I don't have that much money to spend on lolita stuff. Well, that and I'd want to buy stuff from Japanese brands but I have no idea how the hell to do that on their crazy Japanese websites. I need a silly credit card for a Pay Pal account so... That's out of the question.
Oh, and it's too cold here for me to dress lolita. I barely leave the house because it's too cold for me.

yukidream13 I'm definitely a casual lolita. I like variety in my wardrobe, so I don't restrict myself to just one style. I have certain clothing with frills, lace, ribbons and ruffle elements to them, but I don't dress like this 24/7. Though I would love to one day go all-out lolita! It's just that attending a university in such a small-town atmosphere I would really stand out oddly. sweatdrop I would also like to go out on a full lolita day but everyone will just be staring at me not to metion how much embarrasment my mom would have

I have some clothes that are a bit Lolita-esque but are not really Lolita clothing. I try to wear them whenever I can. I cannot find any Lolita shops around here, cannot sew and I cannot order online. Until the day I can finally buy some real Lolita clothes, I can admire them at a distance, dress my avatar as one when I can and act like one myself. I have about $500 CAD saved up for when I do get the chance.

Well currently I'm not very Lolita (since I've only recently been able to start making my outfits)... but when I have many more self-made dresses I'm going to wear them on a daily basis (unless I feel like wearing normal clothes or something XD)

I'm in the process of making some casual ones. When I get better I plan to make the better types of lolita clothing. And when I get more money I can order things ^_^

Well, I'd love to dress Lolita. But when I first got into it, I spent all the money I had saved up on a Gothic Lolita dress, and now I want to dress Sweet Lolita.
However, my Mum's willing to teach my to sew, so I hope to make a few dresses before spring, when it's not too hot/cold to wear them. surprised
