Xiu stared blankly at the glint in the dragon's eyes. Before she had a chance to ask what was wrong, she suddenly found herself behind launched into the air. At first, she emitted an alarmed little squeak. However, when she landed safely on Sheridan's soft mane, she feel silent for a moment before her tail started to wave behind her.
"That was so cool!" Xiu beamed, craning her neck to the side so that she could regard dragon's face, "It was like...like I was flying! Only for a few seconds, and not very high, but..." Trailing off, she laughed and shook her head. Bakus weren't meant to fly...but the experience had been fun while it lasted.
Smiling, she reached forward and gave him an encouraging pat. "Try your best, Sheridan! I know you can do it!"

Sheridan laughed, his own tail flicking behind him. Had he known she'd enjoy the little 'flight' that much, he'd have done that sooner. At least now he knew she wasn't afraid, he didn't like the thought of terrifying his friend.
"I won't give up."
He'd get that dish right, eventually, even if it didn't look pretty.
"Hold on."
He gave her a moment, and then wings unfurled, a short hop, and they were in the air again (though not nearly so high this time). It was a short flight to the demon dorms, though he may have take the scenic route making the flight a little longer than it normally would have been.
Even so the flight was brief, and it may have seemed they were circling toward the ground once more all too soon.
"You are always welcome to join me for a flight."

"I'll keep that in mind!" The Baku smiled, nodding to show that she understood. She would definitely be lighter if she chose to be in her natural form over her human form, so if she were to take up his offer again, perhaps it would be best to go as she was right now. There was a little more worry that she'd slip and fall--she didn't have a very good grip with her...paw...hand...things--but Xiu was certain she would learn.
As they circled lower and lower, the Baku thought that she could spot Arashi watching them from her open window. The feline watched the with a cocked head, followed by a yawn. However, he didn't move away from his spot on the windowsill--it looked like he wanted to wait for his owner to get back safely before he went to curl up and sleep.
It was getting late. "Thank you again, Sheridan! It was fun!" If only it weren't so late! If they did this again, they would have to plan out a slightly earlier time.

Ah, there was her window. A low circle, Sheridan glided toward the window, hands reaching to catch the sill to hold himself to the building. Oh, she had a cat? Blink blink, he hoped her cat was nicer than his!
He gave the cat a wary glance before looking over his shoulder to Xiu.
"You're welcome."
A smile, his head lowered so that his nose was at sill level, making it easy for her to climb off and through the open window. His gaze shifted to the cat, still a bit wary. Please don't bite me...
"We'll do it again soon."

"Yes!" Xiu chirped cheerfully, "And...I'll text you sometime to ask if you're free to bake?" She would have to figure out a date first, and make sure she had all the ingredients, but hopefully it would be sometime later in the week.
When Sheridan reached out to grasp the windowsill, Arashi didn't move. In fact, the feline didn't seem particular perturbed that there was a giant dragon right outside of their window. From where he was seated, he could see that Xiu rode on the creature's back, and that she seemed...well, peaceful. If his owner had no qualms with this boil, then Arashi figured there was no reason to unsheathe his claws.
Good thing too. He was too lazy to do so at this hour of night.
Tail wagging, Xiu climbed off of Sheridan and jumped into her room. Turning to face her friend, she offered him a wave. "Good night, Sheridan! Thank you again!"

"I'll be looking forward to it."
Sheridan nodded, waiting for Xiu to climb through the window before raising his head.
"Good night, Xiu, I will see you soon."
A last smile, then the dragon pushed away from the window, rising upward before flipping backward, rolling and twisting over himself until he was upright again and facing parallel to the window.
One hand raised in a wave, and then he was gone, gliding off toward the monster dorms and his own open window.
