Mira's ears flicked, and she turned towards the sound of approaching steps. When she saw the lovely black and periwinkle mare and heard her voice, a recognition sparked in her deep blue eyes. "Mercedes? Is that you?" Mira asked, grinning widely at the joyous reunion. "My, how you've grown! You've definitely turned out to be a beauty!" Somewhere in the back of her mind, Mira was startled by how much she sounded like her mother. She never thought that she would be that kind of mare, but it certainly seemed like she was heading down that path. "How've you been?"

Nina listened to her new and only friend right now and then looked to the one with the skull on his head in the distance and started to walk toward him.She looked at the one with paint as well.She headed their way slowly.she was acting like a sweet girl once again but her apprance made it hard for people to buy her sweet act some times."ok here goes nothing."is all she could say.

Abdul watched as his new friend strolled away to do as he suggested. He was surprised the Nina could understand (or tolerate) his vocabulary enough to hold a conversation with him. Not most Azrein did. Though many could understand him, they just didn't find him interesting. At least that's what he concluded. If only they stayed around long enough for him to pass on his knowledge of human tricks. These are what caught his interest. Humans always had such inventiveness and intuition. After he found a perfect place in the woods for Nina, he trotted off to the human. Abdul would eventually tell Nina of their recently acquired spot, but he decided that it would best be done after she had finished conversing with the other two stallions. For now however, he was quite enthusiastic to see what new things this particular human in the plains could pass on to him.

Mercedes looked surprised, this mare did seem familiar. OH, THAT'S RIGHT she thought. She had met this mare a while ago when she was much younger. "Mira? HEY! How are you?" she asked a happy sound chiming in her voice. "I've been alright. I've been keeping to myself mostly but I'm glad I came out today! So many Azrein and people I haven't met!" Her periwinkle eyes scanned the horizon and then turned back to Azreth and Mira.

"It is quite a world out there," Mira nodded. "Full of interesting characters too! Like this one here." She grinned and gestured with her head towards the human. In doing so, she noticed Nina and Abdul moving in her peripheral vision. She turned her gaze towards their direction and saw them disbanding. They each went their own way, but she couldn't help but note a sense of purpose in their steps. "Speaking of interesting characters, I wonder what those two are plotting..."

Azreth smiled, tilting his head to the side at the mare. "Flattery? You misunderstand me; I speak only truth." Azreth swept into a low bow, his hand unconsciously rising to his head, to steady the crown that was absent today. He caught himself halfway through the motion, and effortlessly turned it into a bow with his hand extended towards the mare.
"My name is Az-ah, Azell." The King stumbled over his introduction. He really didn't want it to be known that he had been out in the fields when he was supposed to be in a meeting with the Treasurer. The man looked like a rat terrier and smelled just as bad, and the King had pulled rank and had come down with a stomach bug, or so he had told everyone. The King pointedly ignored Mercedes, hoping the mare would take the hint that he didn't want to be recognized.
A smile played about his mouth as he thought about his childish shirking of duties, and he struggled not to laugh. Well, if he wanted to pull a boyish prank, then he should be able to, at any rate.

With a mental shrug, Mira returned her attention to the curiosity that was situated closer to her. After all, she doubt that Abdul would be gone for long. That stallion seemed to be rather social, and she guessed that he would not like to be alone for to long. A playful grin spread across her face, and the mare angled her head the same way that the human did. "Hehehe. Well then, my mistake. Thank you for the compliment, Azell." Thinking that it would be rude not to make introductions, Mira took a step back to be out of the line of sight between Azell and Mercedes. "And this," she looked to the dark-furred mare, "is Mercedes."

Mercedes bowed, she knew who this human was standing in front of her. However he had given a different name and Mercedes got the hint to play along or else. "It is nice to meet you Azell" she said a playful yet sarcastic tone in her voice. She bowed quite low, as she always did pushing her front right leg out and bowing her head towards her feathered hooves. When she stood up she shook, as if shaking off the formalities. She looked over and spoke to Mira "Yes I noticed those two as well." she turned her gaze to the King "I get a bad feeling from the darker one, we should keep an eye out" she stated this last bit as more of a 'general information' comment but meant it to be a warning to the King to keep his guard up. She was sure he never really let his guard down much like herself but the statement was necessary she thought.

Abdul came back from his search, quite successfully, and now decided to see about that human. He trotted up to where the awfully regal person stood along with two other mares. He knew Mira from several run-ins and gave her an acknowledgement by nodding in her direction. "Salutations fellow Azrein. Also to yourself sir." He gave a slight dip which was supposed to represent a bow towards them all. He had met many a human and was eager to learn more things. Firstly though it would best suit him, he thought, to introduce himself. After all courtesy was important. "Je m'appelle est Abdul, et la votre?"
Translation: My name is Abdul, and yours is?

"Well met, Mercedes." The King listened to her statement and gave the tiniest nod, showing that he understood her warning. Azreth had known that the two didn't seem as friendly as the rest; but even though he was certain they were Agents of the Six, he would not harm them in any way.
How could he, when he thought of all Azrein as his children? He had no desire to marry, or even to sire an heir. That being said, the Azrein to him were not only his people, but creatures that he did indeed think of as his own blood, his own kids.
The King blinked at the newcomer. Hearing a different language from the stallion's mouth was a pleasant surprise to him; he only thought that the Azrein on the Isle knew a single tongue. "Abdul, welcome," Azreth fought the urge to sink into a courtly bow. Instead, he bent at the waist and tucked a foot behind the other in a more common sort of greeting. "Je m’appelle Azell. Comment allez-vous?" The King was simply delighted; he had not known that Azrein could learn another language! This was a huge breakthrough in the species; it said volumes for how close their thought patterns were to humans.
Silently, he cursed his stupidity. No mere commoner would know French! Gah, stupid, idiot King. He lost himself in his excitement, as was always prone to happen when something interested him. Well, hopefully no one would realize his slip.
Azreth put on a happy face and smiled at the three Azrein, his green eyes shining. It was so nice to be away from the pressures of his title and the nobles that surrounded him. Although it was strange to be away from matters of state and not have Valdien by his side, the King was really beginning to enjoy himself. All three of these Azrein were so bright, and it was obvious to tell that they each had their own distinct personalities and quirks. And, being who he was, he knew that he would get to know each of them better.
"So, the three of you know each other, I presume?" He gave the three a genuine smile.

Abdul looked at the two mares. He had met Mira, but the other one was new to him. He smiled at her and decided to greet her in a different language other than French. The man seemed to be impressed by his use for other languages. "Saluti. Il mio nome è Abdul. E 'bello conoscerti." His accents needed work, but he had practiced enough to get the cognitive down. He turned to the human and greeted him in French once more. "Je suis très bien. Vous vous être familières. Etes-vous par hasard lié au roi?" As Abdul inspected the man, he noticed that he looked remarkably similar to King Azreth. Though he was sure that his majesty would not be wandering about the fields while he had duties to attend to.
Translations: Italian; Hello. My name is Abdul. Nice to meet you. French; I am doing very well. You look familiar. Are you related to the king?

When Grimm noticed the other horse approaching he was wary. It wasn't like he was having a lot of luck with interaction today. He didn't move though, at least she looked more like the type of person he would choose to interact with so he made the call not to run away, he hoped he didn't regret it.

The King visibly blanched at Abdul's words, and he laughed nervously. "Ah, no. I get asked that all the time, actually. It's just a lucky resemblance, I suppose. I've never seen the man myself, but I heard he's quite dashing." Azreth waggled his eyebrows as he grinned.
Hastily, he changed the subject to avoid further questions. "Just out of curiosity, how did you manage to pick up both Italian and French, if you don't mind my asking? It's not every day one hears an Azrein speaking so many tongues."
The King was quite interested in how the stallion had managed to learn the European languages; he had thought that they were long dead. Perhaps the Azrein had grown up on the lands below, and recently had migrated to the Isle?

Mercedes tried not to giggle as Azreth tried to squirm out of the 'you look like the king' question. She continued to graze until Abdul looked her way. She understood his words but could not answer in Italian "Mucho gusto! Me llamo Mercedes" she said and winked at Azreth. She hadn't spoken spanish to anyone, mostly because no one had spoken it to her. She bowed to Abdul and "Como esta?" she asked. She almost spoke english but figured if he was speaking to her in a different language why shouldn't she answer in another latin language?
Translation: It's nice to meet you! My name is Mercedes. How are you?

Nina walked over to grimm and a gave him a small smile."Hello I'm Nina.Who might you be?"Her voice held that dark under tone that she was so well known for.She could look so sweet but she was so evil on the inside.She looked him over and just knew this was going to be her lucky day.
