Nivritti was taken by surprise as another female scooted past her, complimenting her outfit, before a quick bow and vanishing. Blinking a few times, this caused Nivy to pause and think a bit harder on this situation. It seemed like even more people were arriving, and she would be standing in their direct line. Adjusting the fabric that hung over her shoulder of her Sari Nivritti went to take a step back when a male and his tiger had come through the door. The tiger had acted a bit strange, and Nivy also looked up at the rafters. She hadn’t seen the Lunarian, but she trusted the tiger’s instincts. And began to ponder why one who hide there.
“Oh no…” She breathed lightly. She had gotten so distracted by the female in that crazy, but adorable outfit, she had forgotten what she was looking for. Her eyes glanced around, and she started to notice the flowers. She took a few steps forward and looked them over. It was simple, not professionally done. But they had a nice aura about them. She still seemed a bit inwardly disappointed about losing the business; but it was time to move past that. She turned her head back; the tiger’s owner had decided to move on, without his companion.
It seemed like everyone was going to greet the bride, but they had all known her. So Nivy decided to stay out in the main temple area. She tucked the skirt part of the sari under her knees as she bent down and attempted to call the tiger over.

Mr. Princess was not left out of the revelry. Slightly forgotten for the moment, the Golden Lion Tamarin was on the rooftops of the temple, trying to remove his tiny robe. They had strapped it on in a strange fashion, which prevented him from undoing all the ties on his own. At least not when they kept catching him, anyway. He chittered in irritation, bumping right into a Lunarian on the rooftops. He had certainly not bargained for that, and as such, it sent him into a bit of a panic. So the fluffy monkey, in his ceremonial garb, began to skitter off the roof, when he realized that waiting on the ground was a rather impressive tiger. The bride's monkey did not really want to be stuck with either of them. What was wrong with them, anyway, that they felt the need to loiter around rooftops?! Nevermind that he was also sneaky around on them; he was a monkey. Was climbing not natural? Mr. Princess sat down near the edge of the roof and stared at the stranger, his little teeth exposed. He heard more motion, and looked back down to see a purple-haired Lunarian had also joined the tiger. He hoped, in some simian part of himself, that the tiger might eat her instead so that he could escape.
In the meantime, Yue Lao had indeed noticed he was missing, but it was more with relief that he wasn't harassing her at that current point in time. Some significant part of her went so far as to assume that Sara had somehow miraculously found him, and was babysitting him. If she had any idea that a bengal tiger and an unfamiliar Lunarian were actually his company at the moment she likely would have laughed so hard her sides hurt. If only he tasted good, he would make an excellent tiger snack. Too much fur, and too bitter, however. And Yue would miss him, of course, but she would never admit that so long as he was in fine health. Today, the monkey was supposed to bear the rings.
In the hallway, Yowai was surprised by the appearance of a lovely Soul Conduit. She smiled gently as she recognized Sara, however; of course, her daughter had spoken of her at length. It was only inconvenience and coincidence that had kept Sara from being invited to the home many times over; she was, of course, welcome there. "I am very glad to make your acquaintance, Sarangerel; Yue Lao has spoken of you, most assuredly," Yowai replied, bowing her head to the sweet girl, before she turned back to continue addressing Kiran. They seemed to know one another. Yowai was proud of her daughter for making friends between the alliances. Like her mothers, Yue clearly knew the difference between someone whose career made them an enemy and someone who deserved to be an enemy.
"Naturally, I am equally pleased to make your acquaintance, Kiran Tambe; if you are both looking for her, she is quite close. Just through those doors," Yowai indicated, with a tilt of her elegant head, her earrings chiming against themselves as she moved. Her smile was soft, and refined, unlike the sincere and bold grin Yue usually adopted. Still, the edge flickering in Yowai's eyes matched Yue's.
Yue Lao was not expecting gifts, as she didn't quite understand the whole wedding thing yet. And where was Sakn? Sara? Hime-san? Yue puffed out her cheeks, waiting in the room, perched on top of a chair. Somehow she was balancing on the wooden back, the middle of her feet keeping balance. She wobbled occasionally. Chichi was preoccupied trying to arrange the dress to be put on, and since Yowai wasn't there to babysit her, she had taken to the strange behaviour. At least Huang-Fu had found her.
She heard Sakn's voice in the hall, and bounded up, knocking the chair over. "Hey, Huang-Fu, did I mention Sakn's my half brother yet?" And in true Yue fashion, she was not exactly forthcoming with this fact earlier, even though she herself had only known for a short while. And she didn't break it tactfully. It was just a surprise! This Fighter on the opposite side from us is half-blood. And Yue tugged on Huang-Fu's arm as gently as she could, dragging him to the door so she could swing them open and embrace her half-brother. "Why would you even ask my permission in the first place?" she asked Sakn, arching a brow, and pursing her lips. "Hey! Have you met Huang-Fu yet, anyway? He's a true gentleman, if you give him a chance-- sorry, I meant deadly assassin? Or-- What did I mean, anyway," Yue was babbling, her nervous energy overwhelming her. She wasn't the most tactful at the best of times. Would Huang-Fu have to go to Jianyu soon, anyway?...

Jianyu noticed almost immediately that something was not quite right with Bataar. For one thing, the embrace the Mongol gave him in return was one-armed and not very strong - in fact, it was rather pathetic.
And then there was the whole falling thing. Jianyu felt his eyes widen as Bataar staggered, hit the wall, and slid down to the ground, his face white.
"Bataar!"
Alarmed, Jianyu knelt beside his best friend, looking mildly panicked. "You are most certainly not fine!" he said firmly, touching his fingers to the side of the Mongol's face. His skin was clammy, a few beads of sweat slipping down his cheek. "You look terrible," Jianyu said bluntly. "Jinhai, Jingguo, help me?"
With a great amount of effort, they managed to haul Bataar to his feet and drag him out of the room they were standing in. The Temple was large and expansive, with several suites of rooms for the guests to stay in. Jianyu and his family had arrived early that morning and taken up at least three on the left side, while Yue and her family took up the rooms on the right side. Separated by a series of corridors, neither had seen the other, and would not until right up to the ceremony's start.
"Here," said Jianyu, helping Bataar to one of the dozens of chairs that sat in the vicinity of the temple, where the guests were to be seated. "Sit, relax. I don't know what's wrong with you, but just...sit."
He felt rather like he was speaking to an obstinate puppy, but having Bataar at his wedding was incredibly important to Jianyu. The man was his best friend, after all.
He turned back to his brothers, standing in the hallway and waiting to return to their chambers to finish getting ready. "Let's go," said Jianyu, and tapped Bataar's cheek gently with his fingers before sweeping away to the back of the temple to get dressed.

Sakn couldn't help but smile with silent laughter at the door as Yue's voice cried out the news of their siblinghood. Yue's blunt, spontaneous attitude could always make him laugh. And Huang-Fu...the redhead scrunched his brows together, softly saying the name to himself like it was familiar or something. A foggy memory drifting through his mind. Where had he heard the name before?
His eyes swung up to quickly meet Yue's as the door opened, and his smile grew as he clasped his arms around her, lifting her ever so slightly of the ground before letting her down. He made an awkward face, partially pouting and partially embarrassed, his hand reaching up to scratch the back of his head and groused, "I wus tryin' t'be polite...or sumthin'. I don' go t'many weddin's or really anything like'a w--," but already Yue was off, shoving forward her companion, introductions pouring from her lips faster then the redhead could process.
Or maybe he couldn't process because he recognized the man before him, and it all came together. The net, the bar, the talk. Sakn blinked a couple times, then smiled, though it was a little forced. Their conversation was ironic, since Sakn had never thought he would have killed someone when they spoke that night, but in the end he had done far more then he could have ever feared.
"Huang-Fu, 's wonderful to see you again," he said it honestly and with sincerity, and offered the man a hand in greeting, and his smile warmed as his half-sister continued to babble excitedly, "I never knew y'two knew each other!"
He then turned back to Yue and placed a hand on her shoulder, she was almost shaking she was so nervous, "Yuyu, take a deep breath, or y'ur gunna faint before we even get y'to the isle and I dun' think anyone wants that," he was teasing her of course, but hopefully she would settle, because she was making him anxious too. Really, he had no clue what he was doing here. Weddings in the village involved some simple ceremony dances, some songs and then drinking. Usually on the beach, not in some giant temple in the city.

(trying to get in the habit you guys are ... so bolding when you mention other RPers, and changing the color of your own speech? @O@ Is that standard? *feels like a noob* ... Also, tiger chuffing = ADORABLE!!! )
Discovered so soon, Tian was dismayed. Coming face to face with a damn monkey! What luck! Thankfully it deemed him just as unappealing company as he did, though he wasn't sure if that was necessarily a good thing. It's hardly like I have flees, Tian scowled. Curious, though, how it was trying to shed it's ridiculous garb. Also curious, how it paused at the ledge.
He peered around, scanning the open courtyard of the temple, trying to locate what had given the monkey pause, and th---- holy s**t. Was that a tiger? What the heck? Who the heck brings a TIGER to a wedding?! There was really only one solution.
Feed the monkey to the tiger. Two problems solved with one neat solution.
"Hey there, little buddy," he cooed, stretching a hand out to the Tamarin. "Need a little help with that?" Tian tried keeping his gestures nice and even, creeping forward slowly...

Huang grinned as he was let in by the two bustling women and smiled at them, enjoying that they were in fact, purely women. "Hello Lovely ladies, It is good to see that Lady Yue is in such good hands." He nodded to them as they introduced themselves, was on his way to say who he was when Yue beat him to it and then shrugged. He waited for her to say what she needed before smiling at her. A lovely sight to see, Jianyu was a lucky man.
He was caught by surprise when she hugged him and then....clung to him in safety of her mothers. He laughed at her and her almost child like demeanor before patting her on the head. "Ah Sorry to intrude Lady Yue but I had something to give you before I go to Jianyu and his party." He reached into the sleeve of his formal wear and pulled out a silver object, It looked like the form of smaller wolf figurine. "My family sent plenty of gifts for you and Jianyu but I wanted to give you something personally." Huang hesitated before giving ehr the small silver wolf figurine. "I don't know if I have ever told you but, I work in a met shop and forged this with my master for you. The wolves..." he blushed as he tried to speed his talking, he was a little more sentimental after all seeing as his master was getting married. "The wolves when they mate, Mate for life. I thought it fitting for you and Jianyu. May you guys be the same as the wolf brethern!" Huang huffed before hugging her tightly, "Please take care of my Master Lady Yue." Huang whispered in his ear before patting her once more on the head and then slipping from her grip, "Now I shall go find him." He winked at her before waving goodbye to her mother. Just as he was leaving though, Sakn his drinking buddy came in and he was caught again by surprise by the guest.
"Sakn brother! Look at you grown." Huang smiled warmly at the other man before taking his grip in his hand tightly and smiling sincere at him, "I would feel the same! Never knew we ran in the same circle of acquantices!" He was happy to see the man again, "Don't be a stranger around here, Sorry that I have to leave so soon after seeing you, Jianyu will be the next one I need to see." Huang nodded before making a quick exit.
He passed through the temple in rushed steps as he caught the familiar whiff of perfume. Shin-Mu. He grounded his teeth, jaw tense as he looked around for her. Noticing the slip of green silk out the temple doors, he let her be. He would see her soon enough and though he knew she hated him, would attempt to be courteous to her for Jianyu's wedding.
He passed by another room were he saw Kiran, another some what enemy grown here talking with Sara. Though he wanted to make sure he wasn't doing anything to her, he knew Sara would handle herself and continued on.
"Jianyu?" Huang called out for his Master.

A very quick, very sudden flash of magenta sent the dark noble darting around a corner and clear of the temple's entrance. Pressing her back against the wall as her heart jumped into her throat and threatened to choke her with it's hammering pulse. Even as she'd sought so desperately to avoid him, ironically, Huang Fu would be the very first person she happened upon. It was only a fleeting glimpse, and she hadn't even realized it until after they'd crossed paths, but it was enough to have her pressing one hand against her chest as the delicate fingers of her other hand dug against the wall at her back.
She hadn't seen him since that ill-fated night when her world had been shattered, and much as she would have liked to have claimed she was over it, seeing him again tore at those old wounds and made them bleed anew. The pain she had inflicted upon his love interest, while satisfying, wasn't enough to make things even between. Not even close.
A sudden wash of heat spilled down her cheeks as she tried to swallow past the lump that had formed in her throat, breath easing out in a shaking sigh as she touched the bend of a knuckle to her skin and came away with moisture. "You weren't supposed to get anymore tears from me, you twisted b*****d.." The words were bitter, but incredibly soft, and she scrubbed wet trails from her skin. Squaring her shoulders as she pushed away from the wall and strode further into the courtyard. Pulling the cool fabric of the silk drape up tighter around her shoulders.
This was going to be a disaster, a colossal mistake, she was certain of it. If barely the sight of the assassin was enough to dredge up buried pain, then she shuddered to think what more might do. And not in the privacy she had found just outside the temple, but within, surrounded by other guests. "This was a bad idea." It wasn't as though she'd had a choice though.
Movement caught her eye across the open courtyard, and she paused to watch as another lunarian attempted to lure a familiar tamarin to his hand. She didn't know the young man, but just then she felt no desire for company. Shoulders stiffening, she moved off to one side and towards a dark fall of shadows that half hide a stone bench. Lowering herself onto it so she could take a moment to steal herself for the evening ahead.

"I am sure your company will mean more to her than any gift." Sara reassured him, Yue was never one for gifts anyway - no doubt she received too many today, looking around she saw some pretty wealthy families. People like her and Kiran might not be able to afford anything extravagant, so instead they would just have to treat her to their vibrant personalities. When Yowai talked she could not help but to smile, it seems like finding Yue was easier than she first thought. "Thank-you. I hope I am not being rude, I am just really excited to see your daughter." She bowed her head in goodbye, she did not like running off from a conversation - thought she felt like she would explode if she spent one more moment with out Yue. "Come on Kiran." She called, grabbing him by the hand and setting off running, basically dragging him behind her. Yue would be overjoyed to see them both rushing to her side, no doubt about it!
"Where is the bri-" She called as the doors burst open, part of her expecting to leap into he arms of her friend. However she soon came to a sudden stop when she saw someone else in the room. She cocked her head to the side, wondering if her eyes were playing tricks on her. "Sakn? Wow, you have changed. This is a surprise! - how do you and Yue know each other?" She asked, taking in his new appearance. She had not seen him since - well that was not the best subject to bring up on such a day. Never the less, she did not think she would ever see him again. A small part of her was glad she did, he seemed like such a nice person ( when he did not have a evil spirit inside of him ).
However he was not the star of the hour, Sara's attention drifted to Yue once more, she looked so beautiful - Sara was one of those people who would no doubt be in tears by the end of the day, even though she promised she was going to fight them back. "Yue! I am sorry I am late, but look, I bring friend." She chuckled, holding Kiran's hand into the air like he was the victor of a boxing match. It looks like their whole, demented, insane family was together once more. Now they could really start having some fun! Sara released Kiran from her grasp and opened out her arms for Yue. She wanted a hug and spirits help her she was going to get one!

The entire temple was now bustling with activity. All the unfamiliar people it was starting to get a bit uncomfortable. It seemed like the tiger wasn’t too interested in her, even though in her mind she pictured him being a big cuddlebutt. But shaking the thought from her head, she stood, and the air seemed to change. Her eyes drifted back to the rafters, and there was definitely someone up there. But she wasn’t sure who or why… And it was starting to get unnerving. As she went to move away from the area, somewhere a little better suited, she saw a woman in magenta. Nivy glanced at her for only a second, she seemed kind of intimidating and she had a look about that said ‘don’t even try’.
Giving the woman a wider birth, she glanced around the corner and watched more of the bustling activity, It would seem that the groom was here as well. Nivritti just wanted to catch a peek at both so that she could actually know –who- was getting married here. She headed toward the back of the temple and saw Huang. Not knowing the man Nivy gave a pleasant smile. “Nice day for a wedding… Know which way the bride is?” She asked, still holding her vase with flowers. At least she would be able to drop them off with everyone else’s gifts. Not being known, she could probably get by not being noticed by the brides party.
After the gentleman pointed the way, Nivy was able to find the doors that lead to the brides room. There seemed to be even more activity in there. She glanced around, holding the flowers and wonder where she could put them without disturbing them. They had a little card in there that they were from her. Catching sight of the girl from earlier that had complimented her, Sara. That would explain her big rush.

The purple Lunarian starred back at her own reflection currently frowning in the mirror, Lestari did not like dressing up, much less attending large events. The woman behind her hummed lightly as she manipulated her black hair into a neat hairdo, Sinta walked in not as brilliantly dressed as Lestari as her mother was not attending. The Lunarian stepped back to let Sinta see the finished product, the woman tapped Lestari on the shoulder snapping the frown off her face. "Do not look so miserable daughter, you should be nervous that I am not going. You need to find a proper husband and this is a very good opportunity for you." The purple Lunarian bit her tongue, if she stared an argument with her mother now, she would be paying for it until she left the house. “Alright, stand up so we can see the finished look.”
Lestari stood up, grabbing a bit of her dress as she made her way to the wall of mirrors her mother had installed as to admire herself. As she got closer, Les did find herself a little surprised, the light pinkish purple dress made a great contrast to her deep indigo skin. The moment didn't last too long as her mother started pushing her out the door, all her brothers were waiting for her as well as Citra who was gleaming in her pregnancy and looked so much more excited than the rest of the family. Her father hugged her tightly, he disliked the idea of losing his daughter to a marriage as much as she disliked the idea herself. Her siblings were no where in sight, not really interested in the whole affair. Sinta kept her moving until Lestari was on her way to the temple, in the carriage she finally relaxed. The two gifts, one for the groom and one for the bride rested on her lap, even the purple Lunarian didn't know what was inside, it would be a surprise to her as well once the boxes were opened.
The temple, even from afar, looked amazing. Bathing in a redish light, the tall building was radiating an excitement about it that could only make Lestari smile. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, after all her mother wasn't around and she would be able to enjoy herself. Les took in a deep breath and released it, maybe she'd be able to make a friend or two. When the carriage stopped, Lestari climbed out and hurried inside the temple, but she stopped once inside. It was than she realized she had completely no idea as to where she was heading, no one had given her any directions and the temple had quite the number of corridors that could lead to anywhere, but only one to right right place. Sighing, Lestari headed down the first corridor, as she got deeper she passed a room with voices inside. Thinking that this was the room she had been looking for, Lestari entered the room.
Lestari stopped as soon as she noticed five Lunarians, one of which looked like the bride. “I am so sorry, I didn't mean to disturb anyone. I might have gotten lost.” The purple Lunarians cheeks deepened a bit in color, if this was the bride than she ought to introduce herself. “I'm forgetting my manners, you must be the bride? I have a gift for you.” Lestari had no idea how these things worked, no idea that a gift probably ought to be given after the wedding itself. Closing the door behind her, hesitating a bit as she wondered if she was intruding on any previous conversations, Lestari took a few steps inside and extended the magenta wrapped gift towards the bride. “I'm Lestari, it's nice to meet everyone.” Lestari wanted to shrink bad, she probably looked incredibly socially awkward just now, but in her mind it was always better to hand the gift now.

"It was very lovely to meet you," Kiran said, managing a quick bow to Yowai before his hand was snatched and he was dragged along toward the room where Yue was. He briefly wondered why Yue never mentioned anything about her mother to him, but then they were at the door and his focus snapped back to the present. Sara seemed a lot more energetic than when they first met at the market while he was on his way to the docks. Perhaps that was due to her association with Yue. Yue's energy could be quite infectious.
"Sakn?" he repeated after hearing the name fall from Sara's lips. He looked and was surprised to see Sakn there. Kiran hadn't realized that Sakn even knew Yue, but his shock was more at just seeing the other. The last time they met, they had made plans to meet three days later. But Sakn had never shown up. Even several days to weeks later, Sakn hadn't been at the appointed meeting place. "Funny seeing you here." He offered a friendly smile, but he still wanted to know what had happened to Sakn after the checkers scam they pulled together.
His attention returned to Yue as Sara held up his hand before letting it go. "You look stunning," he said with a genuine smile to Yue. Jianyu was most definitely a lucky man for winning the heart of Yue.
When two other Lunarians, one holding a vase of flowers and the second dressed in a light pinkish purple dress, entered the room, Kiran moved along the side of the room so that he wouldn't be blocking their way. He knew part of his bad nature was his need for attention. But on this day, Kiran knew he had to sit on that part of him. Yue was the star of the day, and he wasn't going to let his flawed nature take any of the spotlight away from her. Kiran smiled and nodded in greeting at the two females that had entered.

Jianyu had not yet seen Sakngea, nor had he even realized that the other man was in attendance. He had not seen the redhead for several months, and was completely unaware of the connection between Sakngea and Yue. At the moment he was too busy trying to figure out where his wedding outfit had been lain down, attempting to find some peace among the chaos that was his own family. They were all running around like chickens with their heads cut off, Ehuang crying one thing, attempting to force the twins to change, looking for her flowers, all of his sisters squeaking and flittering like birds in their wedding clothes. And, of course, Liwei, who was standing beside his wife, patiently attempting to calm her down.
Jianyu, on the other hand, was standing idly beside the open door to the room, a slightly frown on his face as he tapped a finger to his chin thoughtfully.
"Jianyu?"
He glanced up at the familiar voice. There was a young man making his way down the hall towards him and Jianyu's expression cleared immediately, pleasure spreading throughout him.
"Huang-Fu!" he called out joyfully, running to meet the man and embracing him warmly. "I'm so glad you're here, my friend! Morning, morning - !"
Jianyu dragged the other man into a nearby empty room with him, then turned around looking at him expectantly. "Care to help me?" he said, gesturing to the wedding outfit, which was lain across the back of a chair. "I'll need assistance tying the back once I've got the thing on. Such an overly complicated clothing, I swear..."

Hime-san bared his teeth at the roof-top Lunarian. As if to say: come any closer and I'll bite your fingers off one by one. Hime-san got along only with a couple Lunarians, and this new one was apparently not an exception to the rule. Besides, he suspected this one was up to no good. He had a shifty look on his face. Hime-san crossed his arms over his chest, a very human gesture, and refused to budge.
He looked back over the lip of the roof, in case the tiger had eaten the stranger so that he might be spared. Perhaps he could coax this other man off the roof...?
Yue Lao was surprised Huang-Fu patted her on the head. It was a gesture she was unfamiliar with, as she was seldom acting in a way which merited one. She wasn't very huggy with most, except for Sara and obviously Jianyu. Sara, she liked to spin around in her arms. She knew it wasn't meant to be insulting, however, so she took it easy and grinned. As he pulled a silver wolf out of his sleeve, and handed it over, she clasped it very carefully in both hands. It was beautiful. She stroked its fur with her thumb, admiring it.
"A blessing and a gift, Huang-Fu. I'm honoured," she told him, attempting to bow but being caught by his hug, and holding on firmly. She nodded as he asked her to take care of Jianyu. "We're both very lucky to have you in our company, Huang-Fu; I'll never let him down," she whispered back, with conviction. She tucked the wolf into her sash, keeping it close as Huang-Fu left.
Yue Lao laughed madly as Sakn lifted her up and set her down again. "Well, your manners were excellent, in that case? But I haven't ever been to a wedding, so I have no idea what I could possibly expect," she admitted. Then, staring intently at her half-brother, she didn't reply to his suggestion she would faint. She snorted, and paused, then said: "You grew up, didn't you. You look like you got a promotion."
"I'm not nervous I'm just happy to see you!" she claimed, protesting the idea that she should be showing weakness. She crossed her arms over her chest and pursed her lips at her brother. That was about when she realized Sakn and Kiran were in the hallway.
"Sara!" Yue Lao exclaimed, excited. "You can't possibly be late, because the wedding can't start without you," she added, scooping Sara up and spinning her. Kiran was the recipient of a firm hug; it was her wedding, why not be affectionate. Even if she wasn't the type, normally. Kiran had received maybe three or four hugs from Yue in the entire time they had known one another. "Sakn's my half-brother," she explained to the two of them.
An unfamiliar purple lunarian approached her, and Yue was welcoming all the same. She grinned widely and clapped the stranger on the shoulder. "I'm Yue Lao, the bride, so you got me right," Yue said, grinning even wider. "Lestari! My fiance's name is Jianyu, I'm sure you'll see him soon, too. Thank you very much for this gift, and your attendance."
Yue's face grew a little red as Kiran had complimented her. She rubbed the back of her neck. "I'm not even in my dress, yet; it actually makes me look like a woman," she said, laughing.
Yue made sure to address whoever was with her, and was trying very hard to make sure none of her guests -- even the ones she was meeting for the first time-- felt left out.

Veryuu Lian-Hyun had no particular desire to be here. He was not properly acquainted with the bride and groom, and really, this was only a show necessary due to familial ties and other issues of...import, or at least ones that his sire had given priority too. Frankly it had given the male a headache, on that bunched right betwixt his eyes and made him cross, causing the already stand-offish Lunarian to seem all the more icy and imposing, pent-up ire at the coercion used to get him here lingering in his eyes, the reins to it held loosely. If anyone gave him the slightest provocation, he would most certainly give them a well-stated and lengthy piece of his mind. It was not likely to be a segment that anyone here present was desirous of.
With any luck, one of his cousins would be here, and the day would become at least tolerable once more. Veryuu had no issue sitting through ceremony, that was likely to be the better part of the festivities...it was all these people, the social inclinations of them, the rather obnoxious fascination with 'mingling' and 'making nice' that everyone seemed to have. Sighing softly, his fingertips went up to brush the beaded knotwork that one of his grandfather's servants had made of his hair...cerulean and iridescent white beads woven into the fall of near-snowy locks, touched here and there with a lattice of silver that was now an integral part of the hairstyle. Rather glumly he mused that it would probably take several hours to get it all out. Tapping one aqua fingernail against the other, he once more subtly adjusted his hanfu, the fall of richly embroidered blues and whites seeming rather heavy, and whilst he had to admit that they caught they eye, resplendent and flattering to his lithe figure, they weren't remotely as comfortable as his usual garb.
Flicking back a neatly-combed strand of his argent bangs, more a nervous tic than a true need for grooming, he more properly assessed the situation as he made his way across the courtyard. The soft tap of his shoes seeming soothing in their rhythm as he advanced towards the temple itself, able to tell at a glance that people were waiting inside. Almost desperate for a momentary distraction that would both allow him procrastination from the merrymaking mob, and yet still obligate his honor.
If only he knew how very appropriate an answer to his inner controversy lay ahead, not seconds away. Pausing, a light splash of color amidst the darker shades of the courtyard, the overhang of shadows not entirely obscuring Shin-mu, though that might have been what she had been wishing for upon selecting her resting place. With a low noise, a sort of pleasant startlement, Veryuu turned his course, temporarily delaying his progression towards the temple in favor of joining his friend. This was not the halls of the academy, but if she had not minded his companionship then, it was unlikely that she would shoo him from her side now. The one bright spot radiating amidst the cloud the noble had cast about this entire affair.
"Shin-mu?" His voice was soft, lilting upwards, a pleasant greeting that was more to catch the lady's attention than it was a query. Joining her in the shade, the patterns of the overhang above sliding over the cobalt in his attire, he stood next to that bench, but made no move to sit, close enough to touch the female lunarian, should he lean forward and extend his hand. The faintest of smiles had touched his lips, though there was some note of irony painted there as well. It ever-seemed that such gatherings did not do well by them. If he read her right, there was mayhap a tinge of upset in her posture. If she was at all like himself, as he had garnered from previous meetings, then she would not spurn his accompaniment. "Might I join you?"

Rin absolutely adored weddings. While he was more than a little apprehensive about attending a Legionaire's wedding, and one so especially highly ranked, he held no ill will towards them and loved the excuse to both celebrate the love between two people and dress up to the nines. He'd had quite a few dresses he hadn't dusted off in a while, and when he'd told his mother, aunt, and sisters back home about the invitation their family had received they'd happily sent him a new dress JUST for the occasion. The lovely red brocade halter had been both an appropriate, and completely surprising, gift. He'd dreaded the thought of wearing something he'd ALREADY worn once to such an important event, and had been grateful that his mother had remembered to pick out a red fabric so their family could wish the new couple good luck on their ventures together. True, he'd had to alter it a bit, bringing the black upper portion to come up to his neck and clip together in the back, making a collar for himself to hide the lack of clevage, and he'd also insisted on wearing a small, cropped off-shoulder red jacket he'd hemmed to hit just above his waist so that there was still black showing, that slipped more than halfway down his arms, and added a large traditional obi tied in the front, more like a courtesan whore than a wedding guest, but at least it made a statement.
He hummed with self satisfaction, toying with the rediculious amount of ice-blue curls he'd styled his hair into. All in all, he was quite pleased with his appearance. Bowing to a blushing guard as he passed, he gingerly set a large box on the table with the other gifts. It was really only a trifle of a thing, a black lacquered set of stacked boxes with some of his rarest teas inside and two perfect, ornate tea cups nestled safety in the bottom box. A subtle gift, for the pair to enjoy quiet companionship between themselves and no other, and while he did not know the pair personally (though his dear Shin-mu had often spoken of the bride with discontent in her voice), he assumed every couple could enjoy an excuse for alone time. Readjusting an ornamental pin in his hair and causing the little bell on it to jingle while fussing with the tassel, he looked around for a familiar face.
With a huff, he could not find one in the crowd, and was unhappy to think he'd have to report to his mother that the event had been droll, boring, and uneventful. How like a Legionaire to suck the fun out of such a momentous celebration. There would have been dancing, drinking, and loud voracious music vibrating the entire village by now in his hometown. These city people had no idea how to party. Bored with his surroundings in such a short amount of time, Rin yawned quietly and made his way out to the courtyard. A small masculine voice caught his attention, and his eyes lit up.
Unlike Veryuu, who was much more polite in every way imaginable, Rin had no qualms about bothering his dear Shin-Mu. She was absolutely his favorite customer at the teashop and the two of them had forged a bond of friendship over many a night of tea and cakes he'd made so she could pour out her emotional woes to him. It was like having another little sister really, which was a warm feeling he enjoyed. It had been hard being away from his family so long, having an empty house with only himself and his dolls as company when the shop closed for the day. Shin-Mu was a welcome distraction, even now at such a boring party, he knew she would make the evening infinitely more interesting or at the very least enjoyable.
Trotting over, his heels clicking pleasantly as the bell in his hair rang lightly, announcing to all the world that he was arriving, he had no problem leaning an arm in a very un-ladylike fashion on Veryuu's shoulder. With no penchant for propriety, he chuckled, and leaned over towards Shin-Mu, tugging on a piece of stray hair playfully.
"Vibrant flowers should be in the light, where their colors will best shine, dear one," he teased, his voice gentle but playfully nagging. She had been in a melancholy mood ever since the altercations with 'he who must never be named again'. Looking over to Veryuu with an almost viciously guarded smile, Rin cocked his head. "And who might YOU be, young man? I surely hope you don't intend to add more melancholy to my little flower, for I shall be quite cross, and have to take......drastic action.<3"
For the most part, he was proud of himself for keeping his quiet warning of violence civil for once, as Shin-Mu much like his sisters seemed to invoke an intense protectiveness in him that threatened to push his emotions into a raging boil until he simply spilled over and lashed out. Any man besides himself that he was not acquainted with was considered potentially dangerous to Shin at this time, especially after having her heart so thoroughly crushed. The arm that was casually leaning on the young man's shoulder moved to grip it with his hand, his newly painted red nails digging into the boy's shoulder in suspicious discontent.
