Nihl smiled and bowed his head as the lady curtseyed and began, "Milady," he stood back up and turned to Grigori, "You." He winked at the two of them and began, "The lady and I would like to go for a walk however, she's smart enough not to trust a man alone without friends at the very least."
Grigori raised his eyebrows knowingly and added, "And right she is not to trust you, you're wild and unpredictable." He sighed, "Well not so much wild, or, or unpredictable really. I actually don't think she should have any reason to worry but I suppose it would be best if we came along." He turned to the lady, "He's really just a harmless pervert."
"Am not."
"Are so." Grigori cleared his throat, "Shall we, before the women on the edge begin their attack?"

Attorra was sitting be himself outside of the palace walls, near a small pond that usually went unnoticed. He had slipped off his shoes and rolled up his leggings to dip his feet in and relax there for a while. But it was difficult to relax. That was an understatement, too. And for a lot of reasons too. He just didn't want anyone to find him. That was all.

Millin sighed, "As long as this one's not a psycho like the last one, or a frightened little creature like the first, maybe he can get a son out of one. Although, if I know Nihl, he'd be just as happy to see a daughter ascend as his successor. He smirked, "Either way, if they weren't taking White Eyes with them, we might have one in less than a year."

Afsana started crying when she was snagged by the collar of her dress and hoisted up off of the ground. "Somebody help! He's gonna put his weenie on my face!" She looked up and nodded, "That's what happened to one lady, I heard it!" She turned back to the empty hallway, "Come help my face!"

Laci curtsied back. "I am not worried so much about his majesty as some one walking by and calling a lie." She shifted from one foot to the other. "As you said I believe his majesty is harmless." She gave Nihl a small smile
Avaroosa gave her husband a guilty look. After all she had just suggested almost the same thing. "Yes I do think we should get going. The old cats over there seem to be sharpening their claws." With that said she placed her hand on her husband's arm and began to walk from the ballroom.
Once again Laci looked over her shoulder to see the womens' evil glares. "Yes lets get going." She said making a move to exit the ballroom.

Avery, Kurag's wife had been standing next to the pond when she saw the young Attorra come and dip his feet in. She doubted the boy could see her. "Hello Sir." she said walking over to him.

Clair looked shocked. "He wouldn't do some thing like that with the poor girl would he? I mean they aren't married. She could get into plenty of trouble with her family."
Thomas chuckled. "You need not worry. He won't be able to even take any liberties." He looked off to see the couples walking off. "And I dare say if the miss came up pregnant and it was the king's her family would be more then thrilled."
Kurag nodded. "Maybe you should go steal Whitey and his wife away." He suggested to Millin.

Leonidas laughed. He had not expected the child to shout that! Lifting her to his side he bounced her on his hip wile he reached down and grabbed Telmina and lifted her onto his other hip. Walking out into the empty hall he began to head back to the ballroom. "If you continue on with your needless shouting. I will tell your parents about you sweets stash. But if you be a good girl and shut your mouth. I will simply forget I even saw any thing."

Nihl smiled back at the woman and gave her a small, reassuring wink, "You'll be fine. The only damage they can do is to a reputation, and yours will be flawless with our lovely cohorts, the Ustads around. Although I can't say the same for them as it is, if you'll pardon the nature of this statement, impossible to keep them off of one another." He started off toward the door with a pat on the young woman's arm, "They'll follow us, so we don't have to see them- I mean so they can keep an eye on me, you've heard I'm quite naughty..."
"You would understand if you didn't breeze through your marriages like you do your food." Grigori raised a brow, taking his wife at his side along behind the king and his younger companion. "Wouldn't it be lovely if you would marry? Wouldn't it be?"
"It's not my fault the previous commitments didn't work out." Nihl leaned over to his companion, "Really, it isn't." He erected himself againa dn turned to face the married couple behind them, the first one was scared of me, the second was scary to me."
"Sorry to hear that. That's why you have this opportunity to pick a winner yourself. One woman much like the lovely lady on your arm."
Nihl chuckled softly, "Don't pay him any mind, this isn't a trick to force you into a false marriage, I really do just wish to walk, and to speak with you."

Attorra nearly jumped out of his skin when the woman approached, "I'm sorry, I, um, I mean...hi." He dropped his head again and returned to staring at the water.

Millin shook his head, "I cannot put my brother through another loveless marriage, it will only end horribly again. Maybe one day. Not now. Now we'll give him time. He is still young."

"Iss not mine, stupid. It's the king's." Afsana stuck her tongue out to accent her line, "Dipshit." She learned that word this week, and it was her new favorite word.

Laci wasn't sure if she liked Grigori or not. He was clearly more geared to getting what he wanted then helping his friend and king out. "Thank you." She said acknowledging the compliment. "No You Majesty. As I said I believe you harmless. I don't believe your the king of man to trick someone into some thing to get what you want."
Avarossa laughed softly. "Then lets hope you don't see him when he is after the sweets. He'll do anything to get them." She smiled up at her husband and slowed her steps a little, she wanted them to get more ahead so they could talk more then pay attention to the two of them.
"You're much like a child then." Laci said looking up to give the king a funny look. "You would like my little brother. For a kid the boy can cook some good cookies." she said with a giggle. Just thinking of the little boy made her a little more relaxed. No matter what kind of day she had he could always put a smile on her face.

Avery sighed and took a seat on the ground a couple feet away. "You needed air to?" she asked noticing the boy's uncomfortable disposition.

Thomas smiled. "Marriages need plenty of love to work." He threw a large affectionate are around his wife and pulled her in close. "Don't they sweetie?"
Clair looked uncomfortable. "Stop, please."
Kurag laughed. "If you're not careful there'll be no love in your marriage!"

Leonidas rolled his eyes. "If you continue to cause problems I will tell the king and your parents you can get into the sweets." He smiled and bounced both girls onto his hips again to keep them securely in place. "But if you're a good girl. I will not say anything."
Telmina giggled and snuggled into the side of Leonidas's neck. "Telmina wants sweets."

"Oh so you like children?" Another check off on the necessities list in Grigori's mind. This was only getting easier it seemed. Then it occurred to him that there had to be some flaw, somewhere, just, where? It was about then he noticed his wife was pulling back on him, trying to slow them down. He leaned over to her and smiled, "Brilliant, darling. Giving them more space would give them time to get better acquainted." He did, however, keep his focus on the pair in front of them.
Nihl laughed and rolled his eyes, "Don't pay him any mind, really. He's just a strange old man." He looked back to her to smile genuinely however as he added, "It is quite nice to see anyone who admires their family, truly, the way you do."

Wordlessly, Attorra nodded. He was silent again for another long moment before he looked up at her, "I thought all of the women would be inside dancing." He stopped, "And the men who look like women." He shuddered at the thought.

Millin slapped Kurag hard on the arm with the back of his hand, "Of course not! Just look at them! They're young and in love, it only gets worse for people not willing to help it get better." He leaned toward Thomas to add, "Or for any of those people who only love once and are done with it, if you know what I mean." He cleared his throat, "Anyhow, I believe I was off to find my son."

Afsana smiled and shook her head, "Nope! If you tell the king you're gonna make him mad because they'll take all his sweeties away!" She laughed her tiny maniacal laugh and finished, "Then he'll cut off your head!" Afsana was a bit too young to understand that those were just stories and Nihl never actually commanded anyone have their heads cut off.

Laci nodded her head, "Of course I like children, I have three younger siblings. And I watch them regularly I have to like them." She said noticing the couple behind them were slowing down. She rolled her eyes to herself before returning her attention to what the king was saying. "I am not sure admires, is the correct word to use. I am not sure what you could call it." she said looking off. "Maybe love, that's the only real feeling I have for them. But that's what is needed in a family. Lots of love."
"Though they might get better acquainted, we need them to like each other. Or he will forget about her after this party is done." Avarossa said softly keeping her eyes on the couple ahead of them as well.

Avery gave him a questioning look, but decided not to ask. "No, I am not fond of dancing. and well my husband." She fell silent. She wouldn't talk about him. They were finding it harder to get along.

Thomas chuckled. "Oh yes have fun." He said waving off Millin. "How about you and I go dance?" He asked smiling down at his wife.
Clair didn't look extremely happy about the idea. But the thought of being trapped in another boring conversation with Kurag, made her feel more then happy to go dance. "Yes of course."
Thomas smiled "Then if you will excuse us."

Leonidas knew mind games, ones that worked well on kids. "Well sweetie, I am a demon, and a really powerful one. If they cut off my head I will grow two more." He said smiling down at the girl as he found steps to take them down to the ground level.

"As you're a woman, you might not agree as much, but it also requires a lot of discipline. Not necessary every minute like the love bit, but you know, always important." He leaned toward her and spoke in a lower tone, "Grigori and Avarossa discipline their daughter, but not too much, she gets away with a lot. They're both the mommies in the situations."
Grigori just nodded toward the pair before them as his wife finished her sentence, "Are you sure about that?"

Millin sighed and exited in the direction that he had seen his son go and checked both directions for him, before he headed toward the small pond where he knew Attorra always was. He stopped however, when he spotted him sitting with a woman. He quickly hid around the corner, pressing his back to the stone wall outside. He listened in, both wondering who the woman was, and why his little wiener of a son wasn't running away yet.
Attorra sighed, "I won't press you for details, it's not my business. But you should know, that my family has a reputation for a strong belief of personal freedoms. If you're unhappy, well, there's no reason someone else should be able to make you feel that way."

"Can't say the same for your wiener." Afsana's eye narrowed as she refused to back down from the têt-a-têt with the demon, "You don't scare me. I'm a warrior!"

"Yes well of course every family, with children, needs to have discipline. But if there is no children then there is no real big need for it." The girl raised her head to look at her companion and meet him face to face as she spoke "It's not like a women needs to have a man to keep her disciplined. Men are always the wild ones." Laci had just revealed one of the main reasons she hadn't had a marriage offer.
Avarossa could still hear the majority of their words. "Well with that kind of attitude to men, yes. I think so." Sighing she felt like they had just lost their only opportunity. "It's safe to say Nihl will probably want to return back quickly."

Avery looked at the boy. He was sure perceptive for his age. "But Sir. I don't know why you would think I want away from him." She said with a small smile, of course she was willing to try and work it out with him. But over the years he was becoming, angry, mean, and even a little paranoid. "We just had a small argument today. And I wish for time to relax."

Leonidas ignored the first of her words. Kids her age shouldn't know about male parts, though he dobted she actually knew what it was. It was probably just a word she had heard. But he wasn't going to be the one to teach her what the word meant. "Oh a warrior eh?" He looked down at her as if he was surprised. "I wasn't aware G'rthe employed such little warriors." He chuckled. "I am a warrior as well. Please tell me of your war stories, little warrior."

Nihl smiled as both eyebrows lifted, "Is that so?" He laughed rather heartily and dismissed it, "Is this why you haven't a betrothed? Hm? You speak your mind freely?"
Grigori scoffed, "Please. You act like something like freedom of speech would deter Nihl. Quite the contrary its a positive trait to him, especially after the first marriage."
In front of them, Nihl was continuing, "So many people act as if there's something wrong with that. It's the opposite, I should say. If people never told me what they thought of the kingdom, I would never know what it was I had to fix. The same should go for any sort of relationships, right? Whether it be best friends or wives and their husbands. It's sort of a...team effort? Does that make sense?"

Attorra shrugged, "Whatever makes you happy I guess. But you should at least find one moment for that- to be happy I mean. That's what Grigori always says, that if you've gone even one day without any inkling of happiness, you've wasted your day. So I always try to laugh once a day, or even watch my sister quarrel, whatever it may be. As long as at least once between waking up and sleeping again, I feel joy, of any amount, just, joy."

"Although I don't have to esplain myself to the likes of you, I do like to talk about myself, that's what mommy says. Once upon a time there was a beautiful lady warrior -that's me- and a big mean ugly buttface poopy-pants sweets thief -that's you." She cleared her throat to continue, "One day the meanie thief stole the little angel of a warrior's cookies and tried to eat them all so she told him he's too fat so he shouldn't eat them. Then he gave them back to the warrior and let her go. Now. Will you let me go, fatty?"

"I know it's not a big deal. But I am simply worried she may act too much like the second wife. Speaking so openly with out so much of a second thought." Avarossa said still doing her est to keep her voice low.
"Yes." Laci said looking off when some odd plant caught her eye. "Every one in the relationship has to put in their share to make it work well." She said still looking at the plant as they walked by. Once they had walked far enough she would have to crane her neck at an comfortable angle to see the plant she returned her attention back to the king. "My parents work together to raise us, I work with my parents to take care of my siblings. My father works with the shipping people to get the supplies he needs to work."
Avarossa smiled and leaned in more. "At least this one has some brains."

"That's really sweet." Avery smiled at the younger boy. "I hope you stick to that, even as an adult. If you keep that attitude your whole life with be nothing but sunshine." She said leaning back a little more.

Leonidas found himself chuckling again. "If you keep eating sweets like that, you'll end up fat. Then you won't be able to be a good warrior." He said in a stern warning voice. One he had perfected with his kids.

Nihl listened, but started to laugh as the girl was going out of her way to see the plant, "We can stop if you like." He stopped them and turned a bit, dragging her along, "It's called a Blue Trumpet. It's pretty normal here, but I suppose you've never seen one. Would you like one? There are more back home, they're in pots, so you don't have to kill them to take them with you.""
"That's just like Nihl to not be able to give a woman flowers properly." Grigori snickered behind them to his wife. "And yes she may have some brains, but she needs to calm it down with the innocence thing if she wants to snag her a king."

"Oh yeah?" Attorra sighed, "I don't really know, I don't think I'll ever have any luck with a marriage. I've been told I'm more like my uncle than my father."

Laci followed along easily. "I've never seen a flower like that." she agreed with the king. "I would love to take one home with me." She gave Nihl her best smile, one that was true. She was more then happy at the thought. No one around her would have flowers as pretty. They were likely to be the only good thing she got out of this silly party.
"Well if she knows nothing but innocence then she isn't going to act any other way. I am willing to guess her father has made sure to keep her from the cruel world and kept her as innocent as a new flower bud." Avarossa said watching as the young girl marveled over the flower. "But if he needed a way lighten her up, that seemed to help."
"Are all the flowers around here so vibrant in color?" Laci asked still beaming up at her companion. How had she not noticed how hansom he was right away? He was older and more mature looking then most of the men that had tried to court her before. But that only added to his allure.

"Just because you're like someone doesn't mean you are them." Avery said with a smile. "You can learn from your uncle's mistakes."

Leonidas sighed. "Just tell me where to go. I will take you there and put you to bed." He adjusted the dragon child on his other side. Of course Leonidas failed to mention he would be standing watch over the child as she slept. He wouldn't leave the child until he was told to or someone killed him.

"There could be millions of beautiful flowers, but only one can be the most outstanding in its beauty." Nihl smiled, "Of course I can't deprive you of making the decision yourself. Yes just before the beach begins there is quite an array of flowers, but don't worry if you don't think you can pick the loveliest of them, I find I'm quite good at that,"
"I," Grigori took a small pause before turning to his wife, "might barf. Was I that ,oh how would I put it, overly ingratiating when we first met? Or even when we first married? I don't think so."

"Trust me," Attorra lifted a hand and rubbed his forehead like he could still feel the pain, "I have."

Afsana stuck an angry little finger in the direction of her parents' room. "There."

"I think every flower is beautiful in it's own way." Laci said looking at another flower plant growing off to the side of the one they had stopped to look at. "Can we go see all the others?" her eyes lite up with hope, she wanted to see what he was talking about.
Avarossa giggled. "No I can't say you were that bad." She said leaning into her husband. Once again she looked ahead of them. "I don't think we have to worry about them."

Avery laughed. "Oh some thing happen?"

With out saying anything Leonidas took the little blond haired girl to the room she had pointed to. Walking in her knew it must have been her parents' room, or some thing. Walking over to the large plush bed he sat the little girl down. Moving to the other side he pulled the covers back and patted the bed. "Come let me tuck you in."

Nihl blinked, "If you like." He thought for a moment as they continued their walk before nodding, "The plants that like the beach just before the ground turns to soft sand, that's where some of the most intriguing of the plants are."
They arrived only a few minutes later and he cleared a bit of brush out of their way to reveal not only a makeshift path to the beach, but a thick brush of a few rather colorful flowers of all shapes and sizes. "There they are."
"Nice try." Grigori lifted both eyebrows, "I'm not going to leave them alone. No, darling, if we need alone time we can have it when we return home. By then Afsana will have worn herself out giving that Leonidas a hard time."

"I fell down the stairs." Attorra scoffed, "And other shenanigans, all due to the fact that Uncle Nihl acts like a child most of the time."

Afsana sighed a dramatic, exasperated sigh, "Fine!" She crawled up the side of the bed, kicking off her tiny shoes and crawling under the blanket, "Okay, all done, go away now."
