Celestia chuckled, pulling the little body closer to hers as she closed her wings to keep the warm air in. "If you wish it, then I would be happy to cradle you like this until the morning lights." The phim gently laid her head down and closed her eyes sleepily. Though it was starting to get colder, Celestia had never felt warmer in her life, or more content.
"Hm?" She hummed softly, then giggled. "I suppose they do that at night when there is no sun to feed them." She spoke softly to the little fairy. "Sleep now, sweet Effie."

-Time Skip-
Effie awoke to the muffled sound of birds, eyes opening to see darkness. She heard birds but saw darkness? That.... didn't make sense, until she remembered she was under Celestia's wing.
Careful to not disturb her, she slipped out from under the wing and stretched, fluttering her small wings and letting them stretch, as well as her neglected limbs. Humming softly, the tiny vixen turned to look at Celestia, cheeks turning a darker pink. She was so pretty when she slept~

Celestia shivered slightly at the sudden cold. Why was she cold all of the sudden? Curling into a ball, the phim wrapped her wings tighter around herself, moaning softly in her sleep. She was having such a wonderful dream about a cute little pink fairy that made her heat skip. after a few minutes, and more attempts to get warm the phim finally gave up and opened her eyes.
Immediately she blushed, the same little pink fairy from her dreams was right there in front of her. Watching her.
"Mm....g....good morning....Effie..." Celestia swallowed hard.

"Good morning!" She chirped back, smiling sweetly at Celestia with her silly grin, as usual. "I'm sorry I moved away so quick, I was going to get us breakfast but then I saw you asleep and..." And stared at her like a weirdo. She decided to not finish this sentence, whistling softly before glancing to a small birdie, smiling.
"Aww!" She cooed, moving to try and tap the bird, though it fluttered away. Smiling despite the bird totally ditching her, she turned to look back at Celestia. "How'd you sleep?"

"Mmmm...better then I have in such a long time." Celestia smiled at the pink fairy, then chuckled as she tried to touch the bird. She was like a kit sometimes, but her innocence was so cute that it should be illegal. "That's alright....it was about time I got up anyway." She smiled as she slowly stood and stretched out her muscles.
"Ahhhh..." She yawned and looked around, "Breakfast does sound good. What would you like to have today?"

Tail wagging, Effie fluttered her wings for a brief second or two, her shoulders rolling. "Mmmmm," Watching the 'Phim stretch she flipped her tail to move her hair aside. "Anything! What would you like to eat?"
As she watched the birds she felt awe, wanting nothing more than to join them. What if she couldn't ever fly? No... that was impossible! She had wings, why would she have wings if she couldn't fly? That didn't make any sense!

Celestia laughed, "Well anything isn't very descriptive Effie......I can't catch anything." The phim laughed as she watched the fox looking at the birds. It zapped some of the happiness from her. How was she going to explain to the poor fairy that she was never going to be able to fly. The future conversation was making her depressed just contemplating it.
"How about we go fishing today?" The phim tried to get the unpleasant thoughts out of her head.

Flicking her eyes to look over at Celestia, a small smile rose on her face. "Okay!" She chirped, leaping to her feet. "I saw a pond earlier." She added, beckoning Celestia to follow her as she padded off to said pond.
She didn't notice the change in Celestia, but why would she? She didn't understand the fact that Celestia was sad because Celestia was hiding it, and also Effie couldn't see why she'd be sad. Both were happily chattering and plotting. No one had gotten hurt or mentioned something sad. So, her bubbly personality still bopped on.

The phim chuckled as she shook her head. It was impossible to be sad around this little vixen. She was simply too cute, and too bubbly to allow that kind of negative emotion to cloud the day. "Alright...then I shall follow your lead." Celestia slowly stood up and followed after the female, his tail swishing at a steady pace behind her.
"Do you know how to fish Effie?" The purple-pink phim watched the smaller fox in front of her, "I'm adequate at it, but by no means an expert."

"Yup, I usually only fish." She said, shaking her head so hair fell out of her eyes. "I don't like how the animal scream when I try and catch them. I know it's killing even if it is fish... but I feel a little better because they don't scream." She had thought of only eating berries, though Effie had gotten sick from not managing that new diet well and reverted back to hunting.
When they reached the pond she stepped to the side, nudging Celestia. The pond was small, but had plenty of lily pads and tree's that held their flower adorned branches over its water.

Celestia made a face, "I try not to think about it when I am hunting. Some times are easier then others." Some of the color drained from her face. Much like Effie, she didn't like the sound creatures made when they were dying. It was one of the reasons she rarely hunted, it was only when she desperately needed meat that she did. Otherwise her diet consisted of raw vegetable and fruits.
"Oh...." She looked at the pond, "I shall never fit in there." She blushed as she gnawed on her lower lip, "I am....too big." The purple phim looked down at the little fairy.

She smiled at Celestia. "Okay, then hold on." Why was she blushing? Well, Effie would make it better!
She vanished into the pond, having dived under-water. Her wings reflected rainbow colors for a brief second, and she popped up minutes later with a few fish dangling from her mouth. She killed them gently, stopping their flopping, and set them down.
She smiled at Celestia and nudged a fish closer.

"Mm..."Celestia watched as the little fox disappeared into the water, then reappeared with a fish in her mouth. She was astonished that Effie had caught one so easily. She must be an expert fisher indeed, and the phim was so proud of her! She beamed and leaned down, licking the fish.
"That was marvelous Effie....you truly have a gift." The purple phim looked at the pink fox happily as her tail wagged enthusiastically.

She smiled upwards at Celestia, blushing at the praise. Gently, she took Celestia's fish and began to descale it, rubbing her nail against the fish. When she was done, she slit the head, running her tail down the side until she had cut it open, and gently pried off the bone and head, moving it to the side.
Now, she nudged it to Celestia, smiling. "There! No more bones." With this, she did the same to her own fish, tail wagging at all the praise she was given.

"Oh..." The phim watched her excitedly, "Wow I didn't know that you could do that." She giggled as she smiled at the fairy fox. "You are just full of hidden talents." Celestia giggled as she leaned down and nibbled on the fish once again. She would have to remember to ask the fairy how she did it, but later on.
After her fish was finished, she laid on the ground and watched Effie eating hers. Smiling, she couldn't help but notice that the pink fox was just so darn adorable. She was unable to look away.
