"I prefer to just ask ghouls what they think directly." He clacked his teeth and tilted his head curiously. "Though they often say confusing things. Perhaps ghouls are just ALWAYS confused." This elicited some more hisses of amusement. "You have a queen?!" This seemed to excite Muka. He imagined a bug woman on a throne in fabulous robes and gowns.
"I also have 3 badges!" He nodded. "Perhaps with this mining we can both acquire another!" He pulled out his hand to show the Time Out, Usa-Pyon and STEVE! badges. He tucked them back away again in fear they would get lost amongst the trash piles.
He was rather preoccupied in the conversation so his hand sort of 'mined' on it's own. He seemed to have found another small amount of candy and he blinked to attention when they tumbled out from the pile.

What a state of being, to always be confused! It could hardly imagine such a thing. "We prefer asking as well," Vero agreed as it experimented with an about-to-topple pile of garbage, poking gently with its pick axe. "We know of others who do not and either remain ignorant or assume - both which we try to avoid at all costs. Nothing stops truth and progress more than ignorance and assumptions."
As Ulmuka flashed his badges, Vero shifted around in its tattered cloak until it produced Time Out, STEVE!, and Batty in response. "Usa-Pyon's is terribly hard to acquire, as is the Sleuth's and Rage's . . ." Its hands could still feel the terrible pains of weight lifting and metal-table-punching. "But we hope we can both get the badge this time as well.
"And yes, we have a queen. You did not know?" Vero assumed birds would have this knowledge, liking to eat . . . insects and all that.

"Oh yes. RAGE.." Muka's eyes glinted dangerously. "I do not like his gym. AT. ALL." His knuckles still ached from punching NOT just one metal table, but a stone one as well. "I suppose they are called Trick or Treaters because they are rather good with the tricks...." He didn't laugh this time. Apparently he wasn't happy with their tricks thus far.
"I suppose I did know about the queen.." He tapped his lip with a talon. "I never really thought into it. Are these your first ventures out into the world?" Muka's exploits at the various events of Amityville were his first real adventures. He'd always been very sheltered so he sometimes assumed that others were the same.
He pushed his pick farther into the divot to root around.

"Neither do we." Plain and simple. There were a host of words Vero could use to describe the experience of having to continually express rage for no reason but, being quite calm, decided there was little point. There was work to be had after all!
Again the spirit began rooting at the base of one of the tunnel walls. "If you mean beyond our hive, then no. Beyond our compound, however? Yes. It is rare that our masters would allow us to, and we take as much pleasure as we can."

"I am curious about your species.." Muka grinned big in an attempt to show genuine interest. "To be frank, being here is the first time I have truly met other species besides a few parties I have been to and those are mostly demons." He licked his lips. Anytime he thought of a new species he automatically associated it to what flavor they may be to his unique senses. Most couldn't understand such a thing. "I do not even have much experience with my own kind.." He snickered but it wasn't very funny.
"This school is rather chaotic. I enjoy the energy!" Vero, on the other hand, seemed rather subdued. Loud noises and fast action did not suit the little bug. Sitting and having a chat was nice.
He tapped tapped tapped on the nearest pile of.. stuff to no avail.

Vero nodded. "Most would be. Vespians usually keep to themselves and frown upon the education system in favor of a more controlled environment within the hive." As for the chaos, well . . . it was certainly eye-opening. Order within utter business was what Vero had grown up with; if someone fell out of line, they were quickly chided or punished before being sent on their way; no-one stopped for anyone once on a job.
Here, where there was very little supervision, little beyond a layer of ground rules . . . It felt so lost in comparison. It liked order, a set of rules that applied to everything.
"Ask of us what you will, and we in turn will fire our own questions, if you do not mind." Vero tapped another large pile of trash for possible candy.

Attica looked at the strange tunnel. From outside there was nothing but smelly trash. She sighed not beliving that she was actually going to go through with this. But the man said something about candy being involved and Attica wanted some.

Attica sighed as she stepped into the trash tunnel. At least it doesn't smell that bad. She should know about smelling bed she still can smell the stench of the rotting fish that was thrown on her. Taking up a lantern she made her way futher in the tunnel. As she got deeper she could hear other people mining. Hoping to find a nice quiet place to herself where she can just mine and think about what to do about these damn booth owners she stopped at a wall of trash and put her lantern down and took out her mining tools and got down to business.

Started mining away. The first thing she thought about was what to do about those damn fish throwing people. So she stole their fish it was so exhilrating she couldn't believe it when she got away with it not once but twice. Then those damn people had to find out. They could have just caught and make her pay a fine or somehthing no, they threw nasty smelly fish at her. Those jerks. She needed a plan to get them back.
She stopped mining and wiped her face. No candy? Maybe I should go to another area. She took up her lantern and walk futher in the tunnel.

Finding another place to mine she started digging away at the trash. How come I never have no luck with this kinda thing? Only 3 candys so far. She thought about keeping the candy to herself but was curious to find out what she can get from them from the homless looking man. "I wonder if he sleeps in this tunnel?"

Putting her axe on the floor she digged in the bag to see if there was a bottle of water in it. In the process the bandage on the hand came unloose. That just made her think of her other problem. The other booth owner named Rage something did this to her. Well he didn't do it personally but that stupid booth of his. She really needs to find a way to get that man back.

Nobody told him he was to be looking for candy. That was to say, nobody tended to tell him if you dug into the dirt you could find candy. This was an amazing revelation for Israfel. Candy? In the ground? In a Mine? His little bird like face lit up with glee at this new discovery. Holding his breath as the troll explained, Israfel picked up the items. His outfit had been soaked and ruined. But this was candy. Not mini pets. CANDY. Equiptment in hand he ventured into the mouth of a mine. Blue eyes blinking in the lamplight, seeking for the sweet chunks.
Looking down, he already spotted a few, and quickly put them in the start of his pile.

Turning on his heel, the Siren almost stumbled on the rocks, his heeled shoes not providing very good traction. Grapping the wall, a rock came loose, and Israfel went down, but not without reward. Butt sore from the fall, he’d discovered more rock candies, and tossed them together with the rest.

Israfel groaned as he sat up, rubbing his rump. Well, it hadn't been for nothing. Looking quickly around the spot he'd fallen, blues eyes didn't catch any glimmer or the sweet minerals. It was time to move on.

Scuffling around, Israfel sighed. No sign of anymore just laying around. In his looking at the ground, he didn't look up, not until a small rock candy came down on his head. Picking it up he grinned.
