User ImageDominic halted when he heard Lillian’s voice. “Yes! New client! No time no time!” Dominic waved his arms and nearly sounded like the white rabbit from Alice and Wonderland. Aisha watched Dominic pace up and down the, hands behind his back as he muttered to himself. She then turned back to smile at their resident scientist and crept over to her. “Lilli...” Aisha asked hesitantly, “have you ever seen him so worked up?” Her green eyes followed Dominic as he continued to pace around the laboratory, checking the many instruments and then his watch.

Dominic’s eyes caught the hint of red entering the lab and he looked towards the elevator. “Raan? Here, good, Thaniel is waiting for our guests. Loretta and Aisha are ready to go and Lillian is at the helm. And Samatha should be arriving shortly.” He said aloud as he made his way back to the group. “Alright,” Dominic clasped his hand together as he surveyed his agents. “As you have noticed, we have been going through something akin to a dry spell, not that I should complain, it means that the people of our community are having normal levels of dream activity. But even with my ears and mind open there has been a suspiciously low Dream Eater activity. Except in Maggie O’Toole, a 5 year old child who is like a sun among the thousands of stars I have seen in my mind. There is definitely something out of place when Maggie has been dreaming....but what...will have to find out.” Dominic wrung his hands together as he thought for a moment. “I’m given this case a grade 7 to 8 on the danger scale because the patterns are unknown to me. It can be a Dream Eater or something harmless that is just out of balance. The Guardian itself might be the cause of the anomaly, but we will go in on full alert and by stealth as to not alert the mind too quickly. Hopefully we will have time to asses what kind of dream we are in and hopefully discover the problem before it discovers us.”

Just as Dominic finished his sentence, the elevator in the atrium of the reception area dinged and opened. Out walked a family of three. The husband strode out first; he had the suave air of and executive business man, no doubt from one of the top marketing firms in New York. He appraised the reception area with critical look of his deep green eyes. He was relatively young, though the stress of his job was already causing him to have grey streaks in his slicked back, jet black hair. Mr. O’Toole spotted the receptionist and beckoned the family to follow him. Next from the elevator, stepped out the mother. She had the dainty look of one who never had to work hard in her life. Long auburn hair cascaded delicately to her waist and she moved with the fluidity of a dancer. Her heart shaped face was set in a demure expression, though the almond shaped hazel eyes sparkled with the flair of an artist. The mother turned around and gracefully extended a hand, which was grasped by a small hand. Out trotted Maggie, her mother in miniature, though she had the green eyes of her father. She looked like she was normally an energetic child, but something seemed to be weighing her down. Her eyes were downcast and she clutched the stuffed bunny closer to her as she surveyed the marble floor, not looking anywhere else. The family approached the desk and the father spoke to Thanial in a deep voice. “Hello. We are the O’Toole Family here for our 10 am appointment. I spoke to Mr. Kral on the phone earlier to make the appointment and apologize for the short notice, but we don’t know what to do anymore.” On closer inspection, one could see that all three members of the O’Toole family had dark circles under their eyes.

Samantha Herring

Samantha was cooped up in her private lab down the street from the Dream Catcher office building. She rented the property from a crank old land lady who never questioned Samantha about her activities. With the main lab over crowded Samantha had decided that when she joined the Dream Catchers she would need her own space. Sam was dressed in a knee length pearl colored dress. No shoes covered her feet and her hair was tied in a neat bun. She reached for the glasses that she didn't need but wore anyway because they felt right on her face and looked over the email she received from Dominic the previous night. Sam was unable to read it before because she was working on a theory about dreamscapes and how one can manipulate their surroundings as a lucid dreamer.

The email described the O'Toole case, which they were to be taking on this day. Taking her time to get ready, for there was literally only a few hundred feet separating her from the others, Sam finally emerged from the building where she lived with a small satchel and calf high boots added to her attire, and conducted her personal dream experiments. When she arrived the O'Tooles were being greeted by Thanial. She slipped in behind them 'Right on time.' she thought to herself. 'New client means a meeting. Best head to the SLEEP lab.' in her email was the debrief that the others would be getting from Dominic, so she would be up to date when she got there.

Sam walked into the SLEEP lab quietly and found a seat. She wasn't very social like the others and though she was Dominic's second in command, Sam didn't consider herself a leader among them. She produced a pen and pad from her bag ready to take notes.

Thanial Lorenzo Kari

User ImageThanial almost fell out of his chair when the door to the atrium open. He had just began dozing going over sequences of numbers for various private projects-a preferable dream than dealing with his Guardian, the useless wench who didn't even fight back when a Dream Eater had invaded his mind. Straightening he composed himself as the family entered and put on a professional smile, "Welcome. It is good to meet you. Unfortunately, I assume we should have met in better terms. Feel sure to make yourself feel at home. The coffee just finished a moment ago. I believe there are several creamers to chose from and sugar and Splenda," Thanial said, opening the calender on the front computer. His fingers flew over the keys at a typing speed over 70 wpm and he nodded slightly as he saw Samantha Herring, the second in command, walk by. Was Dominic calling everyone in?

Still smiling he noted the appointment, not that in Thanial's opinion that those who needed the services of the Dream Catchers needed an appointment. He had let people in before without an appointment and non-appointments had happened before he joined. He had been a walk-in once upon a time, as well. However, appointments did make things more formal and this family looked like the type to want formality. Quite possibly two trust fund kids grown up to spawn another equally flawless trust fund children. The husband perhaps the clever son who inherited a position in his father's company and the trophy wife who majored in something useless like art marries him and then they produce an adorable child that always seemed to inherit the best traits from both parents.

As he texted Dominic letting him know the 10 o'clock appointment was there, Thanial stood and said still smiling politely. "I let Mr. Kral know that you are here. May I, Thanial Kari, formally welcome to the Dream Catchers," He said with a small bow of his head. Then, he walked over to the coffee maker and poured himself a mug of black coffee that had been made too strong for most people's taste. "Is there anything you all need while you wait?"

Lillian glanced at Aisha as she spoke to her, her reddish eyes looking the girl up and down before returning to the screen. "No. Not even when he walked in on me in the shower or the various times my dress has fallen off," said the girl with only a small shade of embarrassment. There was probably no one in the Dream Catchers who had not seen her naked thanks to her light nightdress. She had no real interest in modesty and only dimly registered the awkwardness of being seen naked by others. Largely, she disliked how it made other people uncomfortable as she was well aware the way she saw the world was nothing like other people saw it. The green eyed girl in the past had tried to persuade her to wear more practical nightwear, if she was going to insist on not getting dressed, but the scientist had refused to do so – she had had this dress for years and it would not be discarded until it was too damaged to wear.

She sighed, using her thumbprint and typing in a password on a keyboard only she could see to unlock the terminal. “You’ve known him longer than anyone else here, though, so if you haven’t seen him it must be important.” Lilli pouted softly. “He was excited enough to ignore my instructions to only turn on the chairs manually if there was an emergency.” Rubbing her eyes, she shifted in the comfortable leather chair to tuck her slender legs underneath her skinny form. “Now I’m going to have to do the tests manually since his impatience has skipped the standard power-up tests.”

Sighing again, she adjusted the metal band on her wrist. The thick piece of metal was an experiment based on the dream machine and training room technology. She had designed a way to use Augmented Reality without the use of glasses or by putting herself into a dream state. It was going well. It would work better if she could insert it directly into the base of her skull, but for now this unit used the suit and chair technology to read and transmit nerve signals that gave her the impression of typing on an invisible keyboard. Specialised contacts let her see what she was interacting with but the implanted version would not need the contacts to function – she was hopping they could move onto that stage of development soon once she had worked the kinks out of her wrist mounted unit.

The genius girl glanced at the stairs as Loretta appeared looking really quite stunning in her leotard. She had tried to persuade the agent to just wear the leotard and nothing else but so far her ideas had fallen on deaf ears. As it was, she was working on suits which were far more sensitive than the chairs. They were almost done and she wondered if perhaps this important mission would require the added sensitivity and reaction speeds of her new suits. A small smile touched her lips. It would at least be a little fun to see how they all reacted to the proposition. Dominic was aware of it although he had not really been very vocal on his feelings on the subject.

“Aisha…? Would you be interested in testing out a prototype for me?” asked Lillian suddenly, not looking up from her typing on the air keyboard. “It’s a suit that should give you faster reactions and better feedback while you’re in the dream.” She glanced up at the green-eyed girl before looking across to the elevator as Sam emerged and moved to sit on the corner on her own.

((Hope everyone doesn’t mind me adding a little history between the other Dream Catchers and Lilli.))

The friend of my enemy...

User Image
Ran looked up as he entered the lab, hearing Dominic say his name. He was talking about a sun and stars, and a little girl. The man knew that lately they Agency had not had a lot of business, and that almost worried him. He felt like there was something amiss, but they just weren't seeing it.

He moved over to an empty swivel chair and took a seat, watching his boss. They still have a few minutes before the guests would be arriving, or at least until they got up to the Sleep Lab.

Hes crazy, you know, this Dominic He heard Dirae say lightly, as if she were just throwing out a simple fact. Ran internally shushed her. She could be rather disrespectful sometimes. He wondered how she had even become his guardian, knowing that she didnt give the most helpful or positive advice sometimes. Dirae was different from the other's descriptions of their guardians, and from the few that he had actually seen on field assignments.

She wasnt the light, playful spirit the others were. Ran sighed audibly, pushing back his thoughts. He didnt have time to ponder the mysteries of his mind at the moment. He had Agency work to deal with. He yawned widely, then looked around. Sam was sitting with her note pad, watching Dom attentively. She was the second in command, but you would never know it from just looking at her. She seemed...meek? Ran wasnt sure if that was the right word for her really. Meek seemed cowardly, and he knew from experience that she wasnt.

Aisha and Lillian were also there, chatting away. Ran usually avoided Lillian in order to keep himself under control. She was attractive, but it was unnerving that she wore skimpy clothing around the office. He wanted to say something to her about it, maybe something mean enough that she would stop, but he just found himself unable to muster the energy to deal with her. Aisha was nice, and Ran had only had a couple of dealings with her. He had been at the Agency for some time, but mostly kept to himself.

Women are nuts... He thought to himself, turning his attention back to what Dom was discussing. Dirae laughed, agreeing. She may not have been the best of guardians, but she did make him laugh from time to time. They seemed to at least have the same sense of humor.

...Is no friend of mine.

Loretta strode into the lab, casting a glance around seeing everyone but Ran only to have him slip in behind her. Smiling she went first to Lilli leaning over the back of the chair to give the girl a one armed hug. " Sup chicky, sorry I didn't say hi this morning." She greeted then fixed one of her straps for her. Loretta then looked over her shoulder and gave Samantha a two finger salute. " Hey Sam, Dom call you in too?" she questioned. She and Sam didn't talk much but she made a point to be polite. She thought maybe Sam didn't like her because they both liked Dominic, but wasn't sure if that were true as she didn't know Sam's feelings. Loretta of course didn't think anything would happen with her and Domic. Company policy and all and that was fine. She liked her job well enough and she got to see him everyday so she was content.

With all the normal sitting spots taken, Loretta walked over on the other side of Lilli's desk. Clearing off the garbage from that side into the trash she hopped up to sit on the edge. When she did though the back of her skirt slipped down, caught on the edge of the table. " God-..." Loretta cut herself off from cussing and huffed annoyed. " Screw it." She said with a roll of her eyes and pushed her skirt the rest of the way off and folded it setting it aside. " I hate having to wear that over my leotard, they always slip off." she huffed. Then before anyone could pipe up she added, " I know, I know, 'most adults don't think its appropriate' but the only people who ever had an issue were the McKay's!" Loretta then had to laugh remembering the conservative family who had covered their son's eyes seeing Loretta in the leotard and looked at Lilli, " They were before you joined and they were super conservative, you woulda made them faint!" she laughed.

Sam noted everyone that was in the room with a scrutinizing eye over her non-prescribed glasses. Why they were surprised at her appearance was interesting to her. She smiled at the ones who said hello or gave some gesture of acknowledgement. Even Loretta who always seemed to act differently towards Sam. She never paid it any mind however. Alhough she never tells anyone, Sam is an excellent artist. While everyone spoke to one another she began doodling on her note pad. She knew Lillian was working on a new invention and to keep herself busy, Sam was also working on something. It had less to do with machines and more to do with the human psyche. Samantha wanted to increase the potency of a dreamer's influence in dreams. Of course they all had special abilities and powers in dreams, but Sam was all about improvement. She had been running experiments on herself in her own dreams over the past few months. This was the main reason for her having her own space to conduct research. With her guardian Athena, Sam had been able to uncover some secrets to the dreamscape.

Her new hypothesis was that the dreamscape is but one large realm and each individual's dream world is but a segment of this infinite space. Each one cut off by the barriers of one's mind and protected and maintained by their guardian. What she challenged was could one traverse those barriers from inside their own dream world and into someone else's? The Dream Catchers entered the dreams directly through the dreamer, but was there a way to cross the dreamscape from one world to the next? While Sam had been going over her theory she had been sketching a universe with tiny bubbles representing a dreamer's world, with bridges connecting each of them. She needed to know for sure. Her experiments with Athena made their connection stronger to the point where they could connect mentally through the dreamscape even if Sam was in someone else's dream. So if communication was possible, Sam had the idea that somehow travel was probable.

User ImageUser Image“You’ve known him longer than anyone else here, though, so if you haven’t seen him it must be important.” Aisha bite her lip when as she listened to Lillian’s response; indeed she hadn’t seen him so worked up...well maybe when he found out that the HeadQuarters was out of coffee, but to go against Lilli’s recommendations as well...something must be bothering him. Then Lilli’s request caught her interest. Aisha wasn’t one to back a while from a challenge or the unknown. She was an adventurer at heart and it was willingness to try the unknown that had brought her to the Dream Catcher’s HQ. Besides, she was Dominic’s guinea pig after that.

“Wear a prototype suit? Sure! Though...I will if you will in turn!” Aisha jested. She had long since abandoned her pursuit of getting Lillian to wear proper attire, giving up on that, she tried tempting Lilli to at least wear more formal night wear, but chasing the head scientist while telling her to put on a nightie was not a scene she wanted customers to walk in. And the added bonus of the suit was of interest to Aisha who noted that there was a lag in her fighting and had discussed it with Lilli before, explaining that to make up for it she tried to think like a chess player, tried to stay two steps ahead of the opponent.

Just then, Samantha walked in and sat apart from the group. Like Lillian, Samantha was a prodigy in her own right. Her ‘out if the box’ approaches to the dreamscape led to many advancements for the corporation. It was not a wonder that Sam had quickly risen the ranks to become Second in Command. Was Aisha jealous? Well...a little, yes...if she were honest with herself she was a little since she was surrounded by brilliant minds, while she was still mountaineering her way through school. She seemed to have an average understanding of the dream world, but nothing exceptional like the others. However, she had proven herself to be an outstanding fighter in the Dreamscape of others. She was adept at using the environment and her powers she conjured as efficiently as possible to minimize her impact on the Dreamer’s mind. Aisha shook away her musings and gave a Samantha a pleasant smile before her attention was drawn to Loretta and Ran, whom she both greeted with a smile and wave. Indeed the whole team was coming together. Usually Dominic would choose pairs, and have those he thought were more compatible with the Dreamer and situation, be the team to tackle the problem first.

⊰≺ MEANWHILE ≻⊱

Mr. O’Toole nodded his appreciation for Thanial’s help and letting Mr. Kral know of their arrival. "Is there anything you all need while you wait?" “No thank you, we are fine.” Mr. O’Toole cordially replied to the question. Before he could say anything to the family there was another DING! from the elevator and a blonde man with ruffled hair, stuck his head before he hurried over to the family. “Dominic Kral at your service.” He introduced himself with a bow and a smile. “Thank you Thanial, I’ll take them to the lab now. Please take messages of any incoming calls for I will be unavailable until we get this sorted. Please follow me.” Dominic guided the still surprised as family to the elevator, and as quickly as he had appeared, they were gone.

Aisha was giggling at Loretta’s remark about her leotards and the McKay's reaction, but her giggling died off instantly at the sight of the family exiting the elevator and being guided by Dominic. When did he leave in the first place?’ Thought Aisha as she straightened up to meet the family.

“...and this is the SLEEP Laboratory where we will be conducting the procedure.” Dominic was informing the family who were busy looking around the large room with interest. “Before you is our Dream Team...literally! May I introduce you to Miss. Herring, Second in Command of this establishment, Miss. Daeva, our leading Scientist, and our astute agents, Mr. Kari, Miss. Siren, and Miss Montoya." The family nodded to each member respectfully, though the child was now fully uncomfortable. She hid behind her mother, only to peek with an eye at each agent before burrowing her face in her mother’s dress. No doubt the child had been taken to different professionals as they tried to solve what plagued her. With each visit to an unfamiliar place, Maggie became more withdrawn and hesitant as to what was to come. Shots? X-rays? Hours of therapy sessions with strange people?

“Now if you will follow me.” Dominic guided the family towards the other side of the room, at the end of the series of Capsules was a special one. Dominic had gone over the blueprints extensively with Lillian on how to make this capsule, in essence, more child friendly. How can you cover the cold metallic steel and wiring with colorful designs on the capsules ceiling and playful mobiles that hung down with whimsical figures. Even the chair seemed more inviting and the straps, while still had to be used to prevent injury, at least didn’t look as scary. There were two chairs placed near the Dreamers chair, where the parents could be nearby. Dominic knew that separation would only lead to anxiety and that anxiety would just lead to hellish dreaming through which the team would then have to face. “Lillian, if you please prepare the Child Capsules. I’ll settle the family in. Everyone, prepare yourself. On my go, Lillian, if you can connect the agents in one by one since we have so many agents going in.” Dominic nodded to Lillian and then turned to escort the family inside the capsules. The family looked worried when Maggie simply refused to budge. But then Dominic kneeled down to her level and smiled. Then he smiled softly to her. “Maggie? Have you ever talked with your Guardian?” “Guardian?” she asked, slightly peeking from her mothers dress. “Yes, the one protecting your dream, like your very own prince to protecting the princess from the awful dragon.” Dominic had piqued the girl’s interest. Of course she knows about princesses. She has read all the books and seen all the movies. Maggie was a princess expert! “Your mother will help you find your Guardian.” Dominic signed for the mother to lead Maggie onto the chair and, though still hesitant, the father carefully slipped on the colorful straps as the mother distracted Maggie with her favorite tales of Snow White, Mulan, and Brave. Dominic slipped the parents a special breathing mask so they wouldn’t be affected by the sleeping gas. Still, it was hard for them to see their child strapped up and being gassed. The mother was tenderly holding onto Mr. Bunny as she watched her child gently close her eyes and fall asleep. Dominic, who had a mask on too, checked the monitors to see that everything was normal, assured the family, who took their seat next to the small sleeping princess, and exited the capsule.

“Well...” Dominic sighed as he lowered his mask. “That went better than some of the head splitting tantrums we have dealt with before. Everyone ready to save this little princess from whatever is haunting her dreams? Well, yes or no, doesn’t matter, for we are going in!” Dominic cheered as he entered his own capsule and snuggled into the comfy. “Lock me in.” Dominic commanded, which initiated the locked strap in system. Before he figured out to use the straps, Dominic used to wake up from a Dreaming test, finding himself laying on the cement floor...painfully on his face. “Alright, Lilli, send me in and then one by one the others. You know how to wake me up if there is trouble. Good luck everyone and see you guys in the DreamScape.” Dominic called to everyone...before he succumb to the sleepy gas.

OOC
Whew! I had to think about this sequence for awhile >~< I wrote it all by hand then had to type it up too emotion_drool Anyway, now some heads up. So, we will be entering Maggie's Dream Scape, but what I realized is that I should set up my posts as a kinda like guidelines for those who will be rping as our next Dreamers. So Maggie's post will be coming up tomorrow, most likely, and she will be narrating the environment of Dream Scape we will find when our agents arrive. The Dreamer will usually be setting up the environment the agents will wander in, any obstacles we will face, the guardian, and the dream eater(s). Of course you can always ask for my help and ideas. And I would like a consultation pm from the Dreamers on the plan so I can make sure everything is solid and good to go. Let me know if you have any questions!

Loretta looked up as Dominic came in with a family of three. Her eyes widened a bit as they fell on the small child. Loretta loved children. She was sure to be dead serious on this case. When the little girl looked her way Loretta flashed her a smile. She watched in silence as the mother read her to sleep before going and standing next to her capsule as Dominic climbed into his own. She watched as he strapped in and slipped into the sleep state. Once he was out Loretta jumped into hers and locked in. " Send me in Lil." She called to Lilli with a thumbs up from her place.

Looking down from the ceiling where he had been counting the tiles, Ran saw that a family had entered. He figured it was the new client, a young girl called Maggie. Ran looked down at her, surprised to see how young she actually was.

So weak...so small... Dirae chirped. Ran grumbled, keeping himself from snapping at her. Which would have looked like he was yelling at himself. That would have been insane. Ran sighed, finding himself tired of her inner monologue at times. He had heard that it was uncommon, no, impossible for a guardian to speak to the conscious mind of their wards. He had wanted to talk to Dominic about it, but hadnt found the proper timing.

Ran flashed the small girl a charming smile, trying to lend her a comforting smile. The look ended up looking slightly pained, as if he had to poop. Dirae was the one that happily pointed that fact out, and Ran's smile faded quickly.

He watched as Maggie, Dom, and Loretta climbed into their capsules. "I suppose its my turn as well..." Ran said with a smile, standing and moving to his capsule.

"Alright girls, send me away." Ran flashed Aisha, Lili, and Sam a warm smile. This one turned out a little less harsh than the one he had attempted to give Maggie.

Then he crawled into his own pod and laid back, closing his eyes and inhaling deeply. It was finally time.

Thanial Lorenzo Kari

User Image"Of course," Thanial said with a smile in response to Mr. O'Toole. When the doors opened and Dominic came out and introduced himself, Thanial could not help but shake his head. Thanial usually tried to appear put together when he was working in the front desk (though, his pair of black dress shoes was near the bottom of a trunk in his closet that he had worn twice in his whole life- one for a cousin's wedding the other for a job fair he had attended at the start of his last year that went uncompleted). He had a feeling Dominic did the same in his own way. But, despite the man's business casual look, Thanial always had a feeling the man came off a bit disheveled or eccentric. Partially personality-or Thanial believed mostly. However, his sister had said if the man got a hair cut and obsessively ironed his clothes Dominic would look better. It may have been the reason that when it was described to him two years ago as a 'really sketchy doctor's office'. Of course it could also be their more unconventional ways of looking at dreams. And when Thanial had come in Dominic had been working the front dress as an old woman, which didn't help respectability in Thanial's opinion. However, even if everyone (and some of the girls would never get close, such as Lillian who could either get arrested for indecent exposure or was two movements from a wardrobe malfunction) wore three piece suits it probably wouldn't completely whitewash the image of the place. At least the results of the Dream Catchers could be spoken for.

Before Dominic left, to Dominic's orders about taking messages Thanial said in his usual indifferent and formal tone while he sipped his coffee, "That is why I get the big paycheck every month, Mr. Kral."

Once Dominic and the family left, Thanial returned to the desk with his mug of coffee. While he had meant his response half joking, it also showed his annoyance at being placed in the front desk while the others got to do real work. Staring at the office phone, he drummed his fingers on the desk. Maybe his sister was right and it had been stupid of him to drop out to start working for the Dream Catchers. He had less than a year to go till graduation-though his first semester could have been a bust in many ways considering his last month while he attended he had slept about 12 hours total. Thanial had thought that working for the Dream Catchers would have been a way to pay them back and that it would have been more interesting for him. He supposed he could hack the FBI database or something and leave his resume there if he had wanted a new job (and possibly a few years in prison, but if someone could hack something the reasoning was often someone could help prevent future hackers). After all who better to stop a 'criminal' than a 'criminal'? The same logic applied to hackers.

Lillian felt a pleasant warmth spread through her as a strong arm wrapped around her upper-torso from behind. Gently pressing her head against the side of Loretta's, the scientist smiled softly. "Don't worry about it. I only woke up about five minutes ago. I just happened to wander in here when you were all arriving," she said, not taking her eyes away from the screen in front of her as she went through the tedious process of testing each chair. She glanced down as the other girl pulled one of the thin straps of her nightdress up -- when had that fallen down? "Thanks, Loretta," she said warmly, using her left hand to touch the other's arm before she pulled away.

Glancing to the side as the female agent pulled herself up onto her desk, she giggled softly at her cursing her skirt. "Well that's why I don't deal with the public. I stay here behind my desk and no one has to worry about me," said Lilli, looking at the other's long legs. She sometimes found herself a little jealous of the agent's perfect figure and curves in all the right places. Lilli was flat and scrawny, looking half-starved and like she had skipped past puberty. Despite that, Loretta was probably her favourite person in the Dream Catcher's. Everyone else whined and complained about her clothing choices, this girl did not and had always been nice to her. She really liked her a lot, it kind of made her a little sad that no one else in her life had ever been accepting as the female sitting next to her.

Sighing softly, she glanced at Sam. She knew most of the Dream Catcher's better than they knew each other. In order to make the pods as efficient as possible, she ran monthly calibrations with them that involved them going inside their own dreams and running a few tests with their guardians. They let slip many secrets that they might not have wanted to be known during them, but there was little they could do to stop their subconscious, even with all their experience. She knew that Loretta liked Dominic for one and that she, and Aisha for different reasons, felt a little bit of rivalry towards the second-in-command. Dominic's scattered mind seemed to be mostly focussed on his work and so she gleaned little from him, the same with Sam and Ran's mind was mostly preoccupied with arguments with his guardian during their calibration runs.

Shaking her head and sighing as she remembered the last sets of calibrations they had all gone through under her close supervision, the scientist realised that Aisha had been speaking to her. Playing her words back through her head quickly, she rolled her eyes at her comment on wearing her own suit before realising that the agent was agreeing even if she refused to wear one of her own. "Oh that's great!" said Lilli excitedly, looking up at the green-eyed girl and smiling brightly. "I'll take you to my room to put it on once the rest are under... Oh and I've only got one and it's for dreamers so I'll never be wearing one," she said matter-of-factly.

She glanced towards the elevator when the family arrived, its familiar rumble as it approached the floor turning her attention away from the veteran dream catcher. She returned her attention to her work immediately, not wanting to speak or even acknowledge the family as Dominic introduced them all. Her employer's impatience was grating her a little today, but she had sensibly decided to start the tests on his capsule second so it was way past ready by the time he had jumped in.

Grabbing a breathing mask, the scientist made to pull it on before glancing at Aisha. "Just wait until everyone else is under and then I'll take you to the suit." She slipped the mask on, walking into the capsule and turning the gas on. Adjusting the straps on Dominic, she gave him the thumbs up before undoing his shirt to attach various sensors. They originally used only the chairs to sense body responses, but it turned out old fashioned techniques were still the best for now -- she hoped her prototype suit would render this stage of the process pointless.

She moved onto Loretta's capsule next, not bothering to remove her mask while cross the chamber. The dim green lights of the lab made her waif-like figure almost ghostlike. She had frightened some of their guests in the past because of it -- her red eyes and pale skin did not help that either.

Pulling the mask up for a moment before the gas began, she gave her friend a smile. "See you in a bit. Maybe you can try my next suit if you like. It's sort of like a leotard and leggings so I think you'd like it." Chuckling softly, she put on the mask and turned on the gas, adjusting the strapping carefully before fully unzipping the white zip on the agent's leotard so she could attach sensors to her upper chest.

Once she was done with that, she moved onto Ran's pod. He seemed relaxed for a change as he laid there with his eyes closed. Unfortunately, the young man had forgotten to strap himself up so she had to do it for him. Once that was done, the gas was turned on and she slipped some sensors under his shirt.

Exiting, she removed the mask briefly to wipe the sweat beading on her face. The seal made it so hot under there. Sighing, she moved over to Sam's pod, letting the second-in-command remove her boots -- shoes were not permitted in the pods -- before doing the same procedure with the genius girl.

Now that all the agents were asleep, the emerged and gestured for Aisha to follow her, removing her mask and holding onto it loosely in her hand. She typed away with her right hand against her thigh as they took the elevator up to her room. "The suit should let you catch up with them once you're in. I'm sure you'll find them no problem." Giving the girl a reassuring smile, she tried to think if they were friends or not, but that was perhaps a conversation for another time.

They eventually arrived in her room, the lights flickering on to give the place a soft glow alongside the blinking LEDs from the various servers and other devices permanently active in her room for no describable reason. She casually kicked some discarded scraps of material and metal out of the way with her bare foot, reaching up to grab what appeared to be a semi-transparent suit made out of a clingy material hanging from one of the many shelves -- she almost gave Aisha a nice view up her nightdress although she was completely unaware of that. Circuits and sensors were clearly visible within the fabric and it looked almost like a layer of skin. "This is it," said the scientists proudly, thrusting it towards her. "It needs to be in contact with your skin so you can't wear anything underneath it. Also if you don't like the colourless kind then it can change colour using the three little buttons on the left wrist to change the RGB value. The button on the right wrist will fasten or unfasten it." She pushed it to demonstrate, the suit suddenly turning into a misshapen lump and falling from the clothes hanger. "So let's get you into this then we can see if it makes you as good as I said it would," Lilli said cheerfully, her red eyes bright with excitement and curiosity.

((I know this is long. I guess this is to make up for the fact that Lillian's posts will get much shorter once people are in the dream world.))

OOC
UGH! I've been working on a beautiful post layout, only to post it here and find it becomes messed up...most displeased at the moment emotion_donotwant I think I fixed it, but let me know if it is looking un-formatted at your end.

Anyway, I will be posting up a code for Dreamers to use in there posts about their Dream Scape, though they can design it how ever wished. I will be posting as Dominic and Aisha later so you can go ahead and post if you would like by having your agents appear "At a hilltop overlooking a vast valley. One can see a great castle on the far side of the valley." As stated in the 'Agent Drop Off Safe Zone' information. The team will then travel to the castle.
