Mary casted a look at Charis feathers, "Can you fly if their wet?" She asked only knowing of water fowl that flew into the water. She turned her look back to Radu as he suddenly laughed. She tilted her head as she listened to him before looking at his flaming paw with childish glee. "The term "hero" is actually bendable depending on view. A hero is a villian to those he fights against and..."

She stopped talking as she walked up to Radu with no fear. No if he wanted to harm her he could of easily. Even with Charis their. "And a villian can be the hero of anyone. Good is only part of life, everyone gives into their darker side." She gave him her sweet smile as she looked back at his paw. "So the stories are true of you controling flame. Do you also steal princess and storm dens of kings?" She replied smartly, it took a lot to unsettle her and so far he was up their but not quite.

Mary could get brazen but she knew when she knew when things were getting dangerous. And the blue flames did well to help indicate that. "I rather not see it currently." She said as she stepped back to Charis side. She understood this fox was dangerous, highly. "I must apologize if my questions have annoyed you. I have a tendacy to get ahead of myself." She admitted before looking once again at Charis wings.

"I'm surprise you could at all. They look like they weigh you down to much." She said as studying him for a moment then looking at Radu. In so many ways they were opposite, even in personality. Maybe a few of the legends were correct. Considering she barely avoided a decent burn.

Mary tilted her head sideways as she watched Radu, so far he was proving a villian. "I will soon enough Radu" she said still with her innocent sweetness in her voice. As charis winked at her she blinked a little surprise. "Lighter? But wouldn't they break easier." Now she understood wshy Charis wasn't a warrior, why risk a dangerous break?

She turned her attenction to the water and thought it over. It would help her cool off her back where most of her hot black fur was located. She turned back to the phim with a smile and a nod. "That would be very pleasent."

”I thought it might be pleasant.” Charis stood between Radu and Mary as he approached the water. He pitched his voice only for Mary to hear. “It would be safer in the water. No flames.” Charis looked back at Radu who was purposely ignoring the two of them now as though they weren’t worth the time it would take to insult them. He spoke aloud to Mary in his normal voice. “My bones might be light but they are quite strong. There are some phims who are warriors.”

Radu was tired of dealing with fools that liked to pretend to be overly sweet. He walked into the high grass and flopped down and rolled around a bit to form a makeshift bed. Then he burned the plants at the roots with his flame to kill them off.

Once satisfied that Radu wasn’t going to attack them walked into the water and then submerged himself right away. His head popped out of the water and he looked at Mary. “Don’t let his ire get to you. I think he’s just grumpy not evil. After all he did not attack us nor really burn us, as long as we didn’t get too close. Perhaps you should focus less on your teaching and ask him more about himself personally. I don’t think he liked being generalized as a deava.”


Radu didn’t let on that he could hear what was going on. He just laid his head down and pretended to sleep. The phim was defending him? Radu hadn’t expected that. An image of his mate flashed through his mind. Perhaps not all phims were soft-hearted fools like this male seemed to be, but so far he hadn’t met any evil ones.

Charis playfully stuck his tongue out. “I think I must be. I do enjoy swimming Yes the humans do have strange devices. I am uncertain how the things work..” Charis patted Mary on the head. “I’m sure he doesn’t mean to be angry. Give it time.”

Radu yawned and closed his eyes and pretended to sleep. The vixen was thinking things over? The vixen was thinking things over? My my how sweet. I wonder if she can really swim of if she’ll drown. That’d be funny to watch her drop.

“Oh please don’t let me be a duck or else I fear I’ve committed cannibalism!” Charis had an expression of mock horror on his face. He laughed. “I only wish I never everything. Then I could go mad in peace and quite. Knowing everything is not for us normal foxes Mary.” Charis spread his wings and pushed against the water hard forcing him an Mary up and the down he wasn’t some delicate little fox and wanted Mary to know as much. “Yes I’m a big fox all Phims are.” With that he dived into the water to resurface somewhere else in the water.

Snorting loudly Radu resisted the urge to roll his eyes. The phim was lecturing the girl like she was his student or something. Then he joked with her. He propped his head off to the side so he could peek at them through one slited eye. What a sickenly sweet pair these fools were.

Charis surfaced for air a short distance away and turned to see Mary paddling toward the shallows. He chuckled and ducked once more into the water when he suspected she might look in his direction. This was turning into a game.

Radu opened his eye wider and glared at Mary when she looked at him. As soon as she turned his back he said aloud for her to hear. “You look like a drown rat vixen, I don’t see what your winged boyfriend over there sees in you.”
