The confusion didn't leave Shun. He had felt similar moments like this before and he still didn't know what to do about any of it. Quite frankly, it was hardly a new sensation at this point... in terms of how frequently it happened as of late. It was just new in the sense that he still couldn't identify anything really.
There... seemed to be something in her voice. He didn't know what that was, though.
"That sounds good to me," he said quietly and softly, the sound of confusion no longer in his tone. Games weren't really something he was too interested in, but he figured he could deal with it for the sake of Mitsu and all.
"Is.. something on your mind though?" he asked. Did something happen at home that had her worried about his availability to hang out, "Did I do something that made you think I'd stop seeing you?"
He supposed that was a possibility as well. The Reaper knew well enough he's made some people in the past hate his guts one way or another.

Mitsu immediately shook her head, "N..no, you haven't done anything." It was what Suto had said to her that left doubt in her mind. The ghosted memories of conversation during the times she was semi-conscious of her surroundings.
"Just...thinking too much I suppose. About things that don't matter." Spotting a fallen tree not far off in their path Mitsu pointed toward it. "Do you mind if we rest a moment?" Heading toward the tree the lycan took a seat her eyes closing a little longer than she meant them too. Maybe she would be able to finally sleep once she got back to the dorms.
After a few short moments of just taking in the scenery, Mitsu turned toward her companion, curious to actually pry for once. She didn't like to pry, she often picked things that ended up being horrible topics, but she wanted to get to know her friend a little better. "So what was your other school like. Before you came here?"

"Well.. if you want to talk about it anyway..." Shun murmured, trailing off as he wasn't sure how to finish that sentence but he figured she got the idea anyway. Looking over to the tree, he nodded and made his way to it, sitting down besides the wolf girl. Relaxing there for the moment, he soon turned to the side as he was asked something.
"It wasn't much. I didn't associate myself with anyone there. People left me alone and I was fine with that. People that got too close for comfort were generally quickly intimated off one way or another. The teachers didn't really give too much of a damn of what the students did or didn't do," he explained while thinking back, "Didn't learn too much from there. Not in the sense of controlling FEAR in any case. Everything I know in that regard has been due to my training."

If...she wanted to talk about it? He wanted to hear her problem....too bad her problem involved him. At least the change in conversation was a good distraction. Maybe he would forget about it later. He wasn't really one to pester.
"Coming to this school I realize how little I knew." Idly she moved some small pebbles around along the ground with her toes. "You can read all you want it doesn't really prepare you to do anything." She sounded frustrated by this, mostly because she had spent so much of her life cooped up reading and it wasn't really helping. "I still don't know much about controlling my fear. I've only really used it by mistake." And it was during those times of being beaten back at her other school.

Resting his elbows against his knees and leaning forward some, Shun listened to what she had to say. Yeah, he could see that she was somewhat sheltered and whatnot, though he didn't necessarily know that was because all she did was read for the most part.
"Well then it's a good thing you came here. This school is supposed to be one of the best," he murmured. Though, he hadn't really got to witness exactly why this was the case.
"Besides, I've found there's a lot of things I still don't know myself..."

"You seem to know quite a bit." Mitsu said thoughtfully. Shun seemed to have a pretty good handle of things from what she could tell.
Slouching a bit Mitsu found herself getting really tired now but she tried not to let it show too much. She really didn't want to go back inside just yet. Instead she forced her eyes to stay open, focused on the ground.
"D...do you think you can teach me some things?" Mitsu asked trying to really think over what she wanted to learn. She didn't want to be behind and she wanted to be prepared. She had heard more than a fair share of students mention battles during their field trips and Mitsu knew she was no fighter. "Do you think you can teach me how to fight? Or...umm...at least defend myself?" Fighting maybe was a bit much but she wanted to at least be able to defend herself. She didn't want to constantly be that person that people had to try to shield. It made her feel rather worthless.

"Not when it comes to people I don't," Shun murmured, venting out some of his frustrations, "Emotions are a mystery to me. I don't understand them and i don't get what I'm feeling half the time nowadays."
Shaking his head, he shoved those thoughts aside before looking towards Mitsu. That wasn't a bad idea actually. The girl could use some self defense lessons from what he could tell. She had a pretty strong kick too so perhaps he could work with that.
"Yes.. I can. You have some potential in you so I should be able to give you some pointers in self defense without too much trouble."

Mitsu was glad to know that Shun would teach her but something about his previous statement caught her attention. "You don't understand how you've been feeling?" Her brows furrowed a bit. "What's been confusing you?" Mitsu wasn't certain she could help but she could try. It anything maybe Lizzy could help. The spider demon gave good advice after all.

"A lot of things," Shun grumbled, "This whole friendship thing seemed to have opened up a can of worms. I don't even know how to really explain it. Lizzy said I'll figure it out eventually but I don't think I've made much progress."
Letting out a huff, he stared towards the ground.
"Things happen and I don't know how to really react. I don't know how I personally feel about it. I can't tell if it's good or bad. Everything is just.. so foreign.. I just know it isn't anger or irritation, though my lack of knowledge on all of this is frustrating me."

This whole friendship thing? Somehow, the way Shun said it Mitsu wasn't sure how to take it. Like he was still bothered by the idea which once again made her question what he thought of her. He seemed really frustrated by the whole deal and he even admittedly said he was.
Swallowing hard suddenly feeling like she was on thin ice Mitsu made an attempt to try and help. Try being the key word. "I'm still pretty new to having friends too." She said hoping it wouldn't make Shun feel so out of place. "I think I still react strangely to things because I only had my brother for the longest time. But...what sort of things...have you had trouble reacting to?"
Maybe she could pinpoint the problem or help him realize something. Really Mitsu had no idea but if she could be of any help she was willing to try. Too bad she was getting tired though, her brain process was on minimal, her eyes growing heavy. She was even leaning a little too far to one side.

Glancing towards her at her comment, Shun let out a sigh before glancing to the ground. Well at least she was able to relate somewhat but he felt that she had a bit of a one up on him due to having had her brother before.
"Well there's that at least.. But it's a little bit of everything I guess," he shrugged with a frown, "People showing that they care and worry... and the fact that I care. Actually.. enjoying being around you and a few others... and other things."
Shaking his head, he straightened up a bit.
"Just.. stuff like that."

Mitsu's head tilted a bit listening to Shun. It....seemed like he knew how he felt and it was a relief to hear he enjoyed being around her. It made the corners of her mouth lift a little in a smile. "I would say, you're on your way to understanding. You know that you care and that you get enjoyment from company."
Her eyes closing as she smiled a bit brighter Mitsu leaned toward the reaper to nudge her arm against his. An affectionate touch though nothing as extreme as a hug. "I enjoy your company too." He had certainly helped her come out of her shell. Before she wouldn't have dared to sit outside with her mask even slightly askew even with no one around. It was progress.

For a moment, there was a sort of puzzled look in his eyes.
"You think so?" he asked. To him, he felt like he had made little to no progress with figuring things out, but he supposed that she did have a point there. Shun had a bit of a foot in the door or so to speak. Perhaps he'd be able to get things cleared up with time after all.
When she leaned lightly against him, the Reaper glanced down towards the girl. There was something in this notion and in her words that stirred something up but for now it just brought back the thoughts of confusion. It... didn't seem bad though? He couldn't be certain. In any case, he didn't say anything on that and nodded quietly to the girl with a softened gaze.

Sleepily Mitsu yawned a bit still leaning toward Shun though she wasn't quite touching him at the moment. No she still had enough of her wits about her to give him some space, for the time being anyway.
"I'm glad I got to stay at school for summer," Mitsu said airily. It seemed that sleep was looming over her now. "Being at home..." She sort of trailed off remembered she really shouldn't speak about it. Secrets....she was bad with secrets. It was always obvious when she was lying. "Just wouldn't have been fun..." She finally finished.

Watching her as they sat there, he found his alert state ebbing away as well. Weariness was settling in and his eyes were slowly growing a little heavier as time went on.
"If... this is where you're happy, then I'm glad you're able to be here as well," Shun said quietly. It was a strange thing to say for him, but it sounded like the right thing he supposed. A part of him had to wonder just what her home life was like. From the sounds of it, she wasn't much better off than him being at home either.
