The nose of the German Shepard poked through the dog door on the door leading to the dorm, but the dog was so big (and since it was designed for small dog in the first place) his snout was all he could fit in. Ludwig's voice could be heard on the other side, telling the dog something-- probably along the lines of how he could try going through there all he wanted, but he just wasn't going to fit. The dog backed up and the door to the dorm room opened to reveal Ludwig.

Let's start off with how he looked. Ludwig had left wearing his sweater. That was now missing. He also seemed to have some sort of blood splatters on his shirt from God knows where, though it appeared to be some one else's since he was unscratched. However, the hem of his pants did have quite a bit of dirt and mud on them, along with his shoes. His clothes gave off the impression he had been in some sort of a wrestling match with something, though none were ripped. His hair was a mess (almost resembling Gilbert and how he styles his hair, but messier), so either something messed it up or he had gotten so upset/ stressed about something he messed it up and didn't even realize it. He also had a tired expression that held a little concern in his features.

Upon seeing his room mates and long-time friends were safe in the dorm, Ludwig sighed in relief, and the worry on his face left. "Thank goodness you two didn't come looking for me. I was afraid I'd have to go find you..." He kneeled down and took his shoes off, frowning at the messy state they were in. His OCD made him want to fix them right now, but his body ached and he was exhausted from the day in general. Once the shoes were removed, he let the dogs off of their leashes before he waked over to his bed and sat down. "Did anything weird happen here while I was gone?"

The German had just realized how bad he looked thanks to a mirror in the room and at least fixed his hair for the most part. (It wasn't completely fixed, but that was just because he knew it would get messed up again as he slept, plus he was wanting to take a shower some time between now and before school, no what was the point?)

He looked up and saw how worried Feliciano seemed to be. A part of Ludwig wanted to just tell the Italian not to worry about it, but... Both he and Kiku needed to know what happened. Even if it scared his friends, they would be safer knowing the truth rather than sugar-coating the situation and going with one of Italy's theories. "Actually, Feliciano, neither of those are what happened. I need you to sit down and try to remain calm while I explain. This is very serious, and it will keep you both safe knowing what happened so you'll be alert for this sort of thing should it happen again in the future."

Ludwig waited a moment, giving both Kiku and Feliciano the time they needed to prepare themselves at least a little bit for Ludwig's news. "Tonight, while I was walking the dogs, I heard some screams. The next thing I know, Berlitz got out of my hands and was running through the park. When I followed him, I found Eduard was being attacked. Some sort of monster that hides its shape and creeps in the shadows has been rumored to be taking innocent people from the nearby town. Eduard almost became another one of those people captured by this... I don't even know if I should call it a monster or some sort of demon or spirit or what happened. All I know is that I ended up engaging in a fight with this thing to save Eduard. None of the kicks I threw at this thing, nor did any of the bites from the dogs, affect this thing. In fact, all of my attacks went straight through it. It was not until Alfred showed up with a gun that had been enchanted or something of that nature and shot the creature that it dissolved and released Eduard. He was badly injured by some claws, but Maureen, one of the girls in my and Italy's class, apparently knows enough magic to have been able to heal Eduard. He's fine. Torus had been there as well, but he hit his head when Eduard pushed him to safety since Torus was the one the creature was after first."

Ludwig was silent for a good amount of time, looking down at the floor with his hands clasped between his knees. "...I don't expect either of you to believe me, but... I really hope you trust me enough to know I wouldn't make up a story this far-fetched. All the disappearances that had been happening lately... They're real, and they're all caused by these monsters that can change their shape and have the same consistency as a shadow. I want both of you to be careful if you go into town. Never go alone, carry some sort of a weapon-- though I recommend getting some sort of spell or charm cast on it so that you're protected, and come back to the dorms when it gets dark since that's when these things strike..."

Ludwig frowned lightly at what was in Italy's hand. "Stop making more! Didn't you say something about how you made too many of those things this morning?!" He sighed and did a face-palm before standing.

He grabbed his sleep clothes before going into the bathroom. The sound of the shower started and lasted only a few minutes before Ludwig came back out wearing a clean pair of blue bowers, his black wife beater, and a towel around his neck with a tooth brush in his mouth and a mug with the design of his flag wrapped around the outside. He sat the water on his night stand before he went back into the bathroom, leaving the door open this time. He finished brushing his teeth before he dried his hair some with the towel and hung it to dry.

When he walked back into the room, his hair was down rather than brushed back, showing the resemblances between him and Gilbert a little better since both had pretty similar hair cuts and other distinguishing features. He gave a yawn and stretched lightly before going over to his bed and sitting on the edge. "I'm going to go to sleep now. We have school tomorrow, so please remember to set your alarm clocks for the correct time." He also considered telling the Italian to stay in his own bed while he was at it, but.... He knew that would be a lost cause. He would do as he wanted to. Besides, Feliciano was probably a little scared about the whole monster thing. With that, Ludwig gave one more stretch and yawn before he crawled into his bed, to which he took up quite a bit of room since he had chosen one of those tiny twin-sized beds so the other two could have the slightly bigger beds. He rolled over to his side and closed his eyes, falling asleep pretty quickly since it had been a pretty busy and tiring day.
