well, all angels were born on SI. it took 15 years for them to grow and mature into their forms. which makes one wonder, would the ages of the angels have anything to do with eva at all?

TheMessiah well, all angels were born on SI. it took 15 years for them to grow and mature into their forms. which makes one wonder, would the ages of the angels have anything to do with eva at all? Maybe Eva wouldn't allow adults to pilot it, since it was fighting "children"?

(Hey guys...I'm new xd )
Anyways...I never considered Naoko in 00 until a friend said that's what he thought. To me...it just made sense. She hated Rei...so that's why it didn't work for a loooong time. She tried to attack Gendo because he called her names and because he dropped her like a sack of potatoes. She killed herself as a result of this.

well the eva shinji is piloting is actually younger than he is.
on the subject of souls in eva's. i'm am torn in between wether is really needed. or if it just allows for the eva to go berserk with out power.

I'd say the latter. Since it is a soul, it's probably got thoughts of it's own. Fuyutski says in EoE, referring to why Yui stayed in Unit-01: "That is why she wanted to stay in Eva. She wanted to live a life with purpose." Maybe she knew her son would pilot and decided to stay in Eva to protect him.

Rei dies three times, if I remember right. First, Naoko Akagi kills her. Then she dies against the 16th Angel, Almisael (is that the right name?). The last time is when she gets absorbed into Lilith and becomes Uber Rei! *Superman music plays* gonk What the ********?! *stabs the recording dude with a butter knife*

yes, then Ritsuko destroys the tank o' Rei. Me and Langley have made a theory involving this occurance and her rebellion towards Gendo in EoE

I'm still trying to figure out what the hell he said to make her call him a liar. I want to say that he said, "I truly loved you." But that hardly seems Gendo, not to mention he did all of it for Yui, meaning he did it all because he loved HER, so I'm on crack. Mehr. gonk
