Yahiko scratched the back of his head again and let out a sort of 'grumble-sigh'. It was his way of calming down himself down, oddly enough. He certainly had no choice and let Yutaro win this little battle. If he tried to say anything else, it would probably make him looking even more like a jerk.
Yutaro simply smiled inncocently, as though he didn't realize that he was ticking off his old friend. Of course, it was what he exactly intended. It was sort of fun. Yahiko was no doubt stronger that the brunet physically, but Yutaro had a very diplomatic tongue. He was very persuasive indeed. Yahiko was surprised that he hadn't found himself a seat in the governement. He may have been rather young compared to most of them, but he would no doubt be quite the asset to the team.
"Anyway, enough about that. I should let you sit down. I'm assuming that Kenji is waiting for you. Don't want to let the boy go hungry, neh?" He then gave a little wave to his partner. "I'll be by the counter if you need me." Before he left back to his seat he blue a little kiss to Tsubame and winked. "If you need anything Tsu-chan, you give a call too okay? No need to be shy about it. Of course, this ticked off the Spikey-haired Shihan royally. His face boiled with annoyance (or perhaps it was jealously) as his 'friend' walked away. Oh he was going to to wipe the dashing smile off his face someday. Maybe not by witty charm... no... perhaps just the side of a shinai would do well enough. Heck, it always worked in any other situation. After all, one 'must demonstrate the way of Kendo in everything you do'. Whether that was literally or figuratively didn't matter much to Yahiko.
Yahiko looked back down at his childhood friend with a sort of 'Whatever. I'll deal with him later' look.
"Right well... Kenji is probably waiting for the menus..." Yahiko grumbled, walking somewhat lazily towards his seat. However, something stopped him. As though a sixth sense went off as he looked up and out the restaurant window to see a very odd looking group. Yahiko frowned slightly. Yakuza, huh? It was odd to have them around Akabeko. Ever since Yahiko, Yutaro and Kenji had made their names in town, no one dared touch the 'usual spot' of the three. It was like asking someone to kick you when you were down.
Very suddenly, and a little roughly, the Shihan tried to casually grab Tsubame and lifted her up into one of his arms, as though he were carrying a barrell. Not very romantic, no, but it was Yahiko's first reaction to the situation. Though Tsubame was never one to anything wrong (heck, she didn't even think that asking someone to move politely was nice!), like Yahiko, she two had some run-ins with the Yakuza when she was young and it sort of caused her trouble now and then. And since she was somewhat of a pushover, guys who saw the chance, would jump right into the situation to try and get what they wanted from her.
"Oi, Kenji," Yahiko hollered, Tsubame still under his arm as he arrived to the 'usual spot'. "You up for a bit of fun? I have a feeling that we have a few people that are just dying to get to know us."
Sure enough, the group burst in, looking rather dangerous and quite intimidating. Well, to the average Akira that is. They grinned creepily, as though they were ready to just cause a bit of mischief.
"Oi!" said one of them. "I have a complaint here! One of these nimrod waitresses of yours overcharged me the other day! Not only did she overcharge me, I believe she insulted us! Telling us that we were too loud and all that!" Snake-like eyes darted from one direction to the other as he finally found his pray and grinned, pointing at the woman under Yahiko's arms.
"Yeah, you're the one! You ought to know your place, babe! You should've known who the hell you were talking to!"
An eyebrow raised on Yahiko's face as he then looked down at Tsubame. "Jeeze Tsubame... didn't I tell you a million times already not to serve idiot Yakuzas? Didn't I tell to leave it to another waitress and actually refuse to serve people so you would stop getting into situations like this? You're like a magnet with these guys... I'm telling you, it's the uniform. You gotta stop looking so beau-" Quickly, he stopped himself and changed his sentence. "Guys just find it easier to attack a girl witha skirt like that is all. It's crying out for a kidnapping," Quickly Yahiko looked over to Kenji, before he let anything else idiotic slip. "Anyway, shall how do you reckon we take care of the situation? Quickly? Slowly? You name it."

Tsubame blinked a couple of times and looked to the retreating Yutaro, almost feeling the anger radiating off of Yahiko. It almost scared her, made her uneasy that the other Shihan could make him so incredibly temperamental, not to mention he did it on purpose. In strength Yahiko beat the guy no problem, but with suave and words Yutaro had the advantage. When you really get down to it, which is better..? "O-o-of course, Yutaro-kun." she almost murmured it so the swordsman next to her wouldn't feel inclined to be any angrier than he already was; if that was even possible. Maybe he was taking this competition thing too hard, maybe the waitress shouldn't be in the middle of this anymore.. it made her feel horrible that she had no idea what to do about it. Seeing Yahiko approach their spot, Tsubame quickly nodded and looked around for some nearby, nodding accordingly before he stopped before her. What was going on..? She gasped a little as she was picked up in Yahiko's arms, looking and then seeing those thugs that had constantly bothered her from before. A wave of fear began to creep in her vision and her body began to slightly tremble. What were they doing here..?
The swordsman remained in the seat for a second, grimacing as the bickering continued. How long was Yahiko going to put up with the little kid's crap? Sure, he caught on fast to kendo, but he was no master, and Kenji could surpass him no problem in anything. So what was he doing, being a Sempai? Well, that didn't matter much now, not when a couple of thugs came into the Akabeko. Yakuza. What scum. The teen's grimace only grew, and he immediately stood up and gripped the hilt of his sword as he walked from the dining area to the hall where the two were situated. "Of course. I haven't been able to give a good beating to anyone in awhile, we need some reasserting from these losers."
Tsubame froze completely in her spot as the man turned the finger to her, in Yahiko's arms. What had she been thinking, doing something like that? The waitress couldn't refuse customers, she needed money.. she had to be nice to everyone. "I-I-.. I didn't.. I-I'm sorry sir.. is there a-anything I--" she was cut off from the Shihan's comments to her. Dark eyes widened as a slight blush came over her face, but she looked away, taking in a deep breath and looking down at her hands. "Gomen.. I-I'll try not to. I don't want you to have to go through any more trouble for me. I-I'll handle these guys.." Trying to pull her skirt further down, Tsubame was then cut off again from Kenji emerging, and then it was finalized. There was going to be another brawl in the Akabeko; and it was all her fault.
The swordsman looked over to the Yakuza member, feeling aghast towards the grimy man and feeling inclination to beat his brains in. Nobody talks to a girl so rudely, and especially someone who he's known his whole life. "Hey buddy, you have a problem, you're going to settle it with us. I think we should go outside, Yahiko, and solve this minor problem we have. After all, it won't take long at all. Looks like we're going to have to show you fools your place again, and make sure you don't come back into the Akabeko again with your crude remarks." He could try out that new Hiten Mitsurugi move he'd been aching to practice on.. and what the perfect target for a couple thugs like these.

((Aww... poor Kenji is hating being a Sempai. XD I'm sure I'll feel like that someday. But until then, I enjoy it. XD More freedom.))
Ah, poor Tsubame... always apologizing for things that she didn't need to. Yahiko really wished that she would stop doing that, because not everything was her fault. Especially this. The Yakuza were looking for trouble to start with, so it she couldn't have prevented the fight even if she wanted to. They would've just blamed it on someone else. He'd have to talk to her about it later. Help her cheer up a bit. He patted her on the head slightly, much like Kenshin used to do whenever he'd try to cheer up the waitress and show her that it wasn't her fault. Piercing red-brown eyes stared at the group, unmoving. "It's never a trouble, Tsubame. You should know that by now. I swore that I would always protect you, and that's just what I"m going to do."
The leader scoffed, looking at the young-red head. "Think you're tough, punk? Do you know who we are!? We're the Shirouryu gang! Noone messes with us!" A grin then surfaced over his face though. "However, if you want to fight, then let's fight, boy-o." The group stepped outside, all laughing jerkishly, a bunch of swords, covered with wood. The leader looked down at Kenji's waist, noticing the sword. "Aww... the lil' boy has a sword, eh? Ain't that cute. Now, the question is... do you know how to use it?"
Yahiko yawned as he lazily took his bokken from his back and firmly grasped it. "Please. Even using a Shinai, with his feet bound and his eyes blindfolded, he could still take you on without breaking a sweat. Neh, Kenji?"
The group narrowed their eyes as the leader spat and unsheathed his swords. "You're gonna eat up those words!" Soon enough, the Yakuza skipped in quickly raising the sword above his head, screaming. "How do you like this, boy-o!?"
The rest of the group trailed after him, unsheathing their swords as well, as though they were going into a serious battle. Yahiko simply looked at Kenji with a grin, as though to say 'Are you ready?'

[[Yes >>; rawr rivalry!]]
The waitress could do nothing about it; there was going to be a fight, but at least it would be outside from anyone in the Akabeko getting hurt. Of course she felt inclined to go outside and make sure anything didn't go wrong, well, to Yahiko or Kenji that is. The slight blush remained on her face as she nodded slowly, managing a smile to the Shihan before he faced the Yakuza leader again. I have faith in you, Yahiko-kun..
Kenji then turned to face the group of thugs outside, not moving his hand from the same place it had resided: the hilt of his sword, the sakabatou. Normally he didn't use this, just the bokken, but he felt like it was important, and he didn't quite know why. Good-natured violet eyes narrowed into a darker shade of indigo, slightly bending his knees and placing his hands accordingly in front of his sword. "Why don't you be idiot enough and come at me to find out." Yahiko's comments always gave Kenji a boost of confidence, it was interesting to see how enemies were just regular nobodies to him, like regular itinerary. The red-head was beginning to see why- it's not like there was any challenge for them in this part of town, and perhaps it was better that way. Before the attackers actually launched, the swordsman glanced at Yahiko with probably a familiar gaze to the Shihan like 'more ready than I've ever been.'
Grazing his foot against the ground to transfer into a backstance, the teen readied his position as if he was ready to jump and took in a deep breath. "I've been waiting to actually try this one out, and you'll be the perfect target." Placing pressure on his leg, Kenji launched up into the air, unsheathing the sword into an uppercut slash and came down to bring the sword directly to the vital weakpoints of the opposing attacker. "Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu Sho Sen!" It was just about time to finally show Yahiko just how much training he'd received in the mountains, probably more than he thought. Wow.. it's so much easier with this sword, so natural, like I've been doing it my whole life.. It only boosted his agility and strength, which would probably make the attack more drastically effective. Is this true strength..?

Several of the yakuza stopped in the tracks as they saw their leader go down in an nearly an instant. How was that possible? The kid didn't even break a sweat! Wait... did he even move? It was so fast.... a god-like speed... no! It couldn't have been. It was just a trick of the eyes... that's all! The group grasped their swords even tighter now, some of them shaking slightly, but not showing any signs of backing down.
Yahiko nodded approvingly. Wouldn't you know it? Kenji was so close to his father's speed it, it was almost like watching the ex-assassin all over again. Even though Yahiko was an excellent fighter, he always envied the two Himuras for their speed. However, what he lacked in speed, he made up in other areas.
Another one of the Yakuza men growled. "Let's go guys! We can take on these two with a bunch of us! That's what the boss said anyway, right?"
Yahiko shrugged and then sighed. "If you insist on getting your asses kicked... then come right on over." A cocky smirk came over the dark-haired young man as the group 'tched' for a moment and then began to run again.
Shaking his head, Yahiko pivoted on one foot, evading one of the attackers. For a moment, the thug didn't see where the 'junior rooster head' went. Once he did though, he went for a high attack to the head. Lifting up his left hand, Yahiko grabbed his opponents sword inbetween two of his fingers. "Kamiya Kasshin Ryu... Hadome!" Soon enough, the thug's sword slipped out of his hands, and was in the hands of his opponet, who simply smirked.
"Come on... don't be so surprised," Immediately after that, the Shihan gave the Yakuza Front kick, sending him flying backwards, mumbling in pain. Red-brown eyes then turned over to the rest of the group. "Alright, who's next?"
A few backed up, as one yelled out words of encourage meant (well... sort of) as two more went for Yahiko, and three went for Kenji.

After the attack, Kenji couldn't help but to be a bit proud of himself. That was the first time ever he'd successfully pulled off Ryu Sho Sen, and with such speed too. Yeah, he risked making an absolute fool of himself in a huge crowd, but it all worked out, right? The Sempai rolled his eyes as the Yakuza men actually looked -surprised- at this. Oh please, these fools had fought even his father, and they still had the nerve to come into the Akabeko and pick fights? How lame was that? A slight smirk played on the teen's expression as Yahiko urged them to attack some more, that's what he liked about the Shihan, he wasn't scared to have a bit of fun once in awhile. Kenji lifted an eyebrow at the group's retort and shrugged as he waved his sword in the air to emphasize his point. "Who's your 'boss' anyway? What kind of fools work under men for money? Are you ignorant enough to be consumed by greed to do something as stupid as you're doing? Aye.." There was no use talking to them, despite how the swordsman wanted to stress a point, they weren't going to listen. He almost felt like a parent, and just the thought of that made him feel.. odd. Like he was ready to even have a girlfriend, he blushed and stuttered everytime he got near Chizuru, and Yahiko was the same way. They just.. weren't gifted with wooing girls, but at least they could kick some a**, right?
Yahiko had gotten really good over the years, Kenji could remember way back when Kenshin was still teaching him, and handed the sakabatou down to the younger teen at the time. That's when he never saw his father use a sword anymore, which was the misconception of his father's strength, and who he really was. It hurt to think that at one point in his life Kenji could be so ignorant as to hate Kenshin for what he had to do.. perhaps there was still a slight longing and frustration to all the 'what ifs.' No matter what though, he couldn't stop what his parents had to do; and that was die together. Hopefully they were happy now, but the thought of them gone still immensely hurt the teen. At least Yahiko knew how he felt, to an extent. Why...? He couldn't let that distract him now, three men were lunging at him and he had to act fast. Making sure to pivot so he could look among all three men, the thought of a perfect attack entered the Sempai's mind. This was just his showing-off day, it was perfect timing for these thugs! If only Chizuru was there.. wait.. why was he thinking that?
Resting his hand on the sword, he decided it was time for an alteration, and one fast. Unsheathing the sword with immaculate speed, he spun in a motion that was similar to the Ryu Sou Sen, only the multiple slashes where in a spinning motion and inflicted multiple times on multiple enemies. Seemed sensible, right? Bringing his leg up, Kenji turned and kicked one of the men in the jaw, then pivoted and slashed the sakabatou across the last remaining man in the stomach, bringing him onto the ground, grabbing his stomach in pain. "You won't bleed from this, but you will have a very painful welt. Maybe you'll learn not to mess with people like me or Yahiko anymore. Got it?" It looked like all of them were down for the time being, and the teen was very satisfied with his fighting skills, they had improved dramatically. He almost had a want, no, a need, for more. But there was no need to get power-hungry, he had students to teach, and many many more things to learn yet. "I think our work is done here, Yahiko, neh?"
Tsubame stared in shock at the fallen men, they looked so strong, yet Kenji and Yahiko completely annihilated them with no issues at all; like it was absolutely nothing at all. It was amazing. Smiling, she ran over to Yahiko and bowed very low, looking back up to him and having a look in her eyes of unconditional gratitude. "Arigatou, Yahiko-kun. I.. I am indebted to you.. i-is there anything I can do..?" Amongst all the people, she began to feel embarrassed, and turned very red in the cheeks before wiping her eyes. Ever since she was a child, he had always been there protecting her, it was the greatest gift in the world to have someone always care about you, no matter how much trouble you got yourself in. The waitress was convinced it was.. well.. that l word. She had for a long time now, and now that she was grown, her tuition was screaming it in her head. If only a door or lightbulb would go on in the Shihan's head.
The swordsman looked over at the two of them enviously, why couldn't he have someone to care about like that? To love and protect under any means possible? That was how Kaoru and Kenshin had been, why couldn't he find anyone...? Still, a gratifying smile was issued, and he looked around in the crowd for Chizuru, but with no luck. Oh well, maybe.. maybe one day. Hope to the future, that's what he had to believe, because you couldn't go backwards, no matter how badly you wanted to, right? And that was the most imporant lesson of understanding death.

A huge crowd had gathered now at the marvelous fight that Yahiko and Kenji had just won. Ah, they heroes of Tokyo! Whenever there was a problem, those two were always able to take care of it. Within the crowd now, was young Chizuru, who orignally was just off to buy a few groceries. Sure enough though, she was taken in by the group, somewhat squished. Luckily for her though, she had a chance to see the two Kendokas in action. They were amazing! She was barely able to see them move, she couldn't believe her eyes. As everyone cheered their names. Chizuru decided to join in too.
"Himura-kun! Himura-kun!" she cheered happily. Finally, she pushed herself out of the crowd and right into the centre where the two were. With a bright smile on her face, the raven-haired Chizuru ran up to Kenji, still proud. "Himura-kun, that was amazing! I didn't realize that you were that strong! Why, with those skills, you can do so much! I bet if you even wanted, you could become a guard for the government... probably even the Emperor! I knew I had chosen the right dojo to train under!" She continued on and on, until she realized that she was probably getting the the point of annoyance. Slightly embaressed, she clasped her hands over her mouth. "Sorry, if I'm talking too much... but that was just really... wow..."
Yahiko laughed a little, looking at the two students. Heh... well, that as one way for Kenji to impress a girl. After all, he apparently took on after Yahiko and had zero points on wooing girls any other way. Still, at least they were trying.
His red-brown eyes then looked back to his own love interest. No matter what Yahiko ever did, whether he succeeded or not, Tsubame always appreciated it. It made him feel... well, nice on the inside. Of course, on the outside, he made it look as though it was no big thing. In a way, it was. Yahiko would do anything for Tsubame, even if he hadn't sworn as a young boy that he would protect her. It was not just something that came as a reaction.
For those few moments looking into her eyes again, he just wanted to grab her, and well, dare he say it? Kiss her passionately, tell her how much he cared for, and that they should get married. Of course, he didn't. Whether it was chickening out, or thinking he'd believed she'd be safer that way, it didn't matter. Instead, he just did what he always did. Shrug it off.
"Don't worry about it. Tsubame, the reason I protect you is because I want to. Not because I expect anything in return. But, if you REALLY want to repay me, if you have any leftovers or something from today, Kenji and I would appreciate it."
Not to far off in the distance, yellow eyes from the crowd gazed at the for with a smirk. He knew that the two would be able to take care of the group with ease, but, it is always nice to know, even a slight bit on how they move and react to things before taking them on in a real fight. They would be fun. He always wanted to fight someone of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu style and soon, he'd be able to have the chance.
Another voice piped up beside him. "So? Did you get what you wanted.?"
"Indeed." Yukio replied. "I will certainly be enjoying this. The Himura boy has a natural talent for speed skill, even for someone of his lineage. Though Myojin-san may lack some of the speed, he certainly makes up for it in experience. It's not everyday you meet a man who's gone up against members of the Juppongatana, and experienced fights between Battousai and Yukishiro-san. Especially at a young age of ten. Unfortunately, I must say, taking them both on would be a rather foolish thing for even me to do."
"So, you seperate them. Get them to trust each other less... and take away things that are dear to them, of course. Turn their precious worlds upside down. Remind them that even heroes fall eventually,"
"And I'm assuming that's why you were hired, no? You know what makes Myojin-san squirm. I'm sure Kamatari-sama didn't hire you just because you have a pretty face,"
"Myojin may not be very charismatic, but he isn't an idiot. He knows that amongst the underground, he isn't all that liked and for people to get to him, they'd do it through those he cared for. Have you ever wondered why a man at that age hasn't been wed yet? But it is quite obvious that there is one woman will always be close to his heart. As for Kenji, he's still a young man, full of pride and emotions. I'm sure just a simple flick of the switch and we can set him off if you know what switch to choose. Especially now that he has a new little friend."
"Just tell me what you want me to do."

Turns out Kenji was wrong- he did have his student in the crowd, and she did see everything. It gave the Sempai a sense of accomplishment, and one of the only ways he could impress a girl, probably. But that didn't matter, he wasn't alone now. Looking over to the call of Chizuru, the swordsman smiled as she approached him, nodding and placing his sword back into the sheath officially. "Oh, well.. thank you, it was nothing really.." reaching his hand up, Kenji scratched the back of his head out of nervousness and even blushed a little. "Oh, I don't know if I'd want to do that.." Even though his Father was very well renown in the Government, the teen had no desire to join it, for the problems it had caused in the past was not something he wanted to get himself into. "No, no! It's fine.. uum.. would you like.. to eat lunch with us b-by any chance..?" Where did THAT come from, Kenji!? Thoughts aside, he was glad he asked her. It would be good quality time, and he might even find out a thing or two more about her. Even so, Yahiko looked happy too. Maybe things would finally start to get better for them, girl wise that is, just maybe. But still, the thoughts of endangering them like Kaoru had been, it was a factor that would be unnerving. Naturally, rivals of Kenshin could be after them, so they always had to be on the look out. None of that mattered to the Sempai though- just being with Chizuru would be enough. She was cheerful, radiated beauty, and reminded him of his mother, in a weird way.
Trying not to let it be silent too long, Kenji looked around before starting conversation up a little again. "Oh, that's Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu, the sword technique my father had. It's very vigorous on the body, and it's taken me a long time to learn just those two techniques perfectly." If he was bragging, the swordsman didn't mean to, and if you think about it, the remark was simply put to perhaps rouse conversation again. Of course, it was unbeknowst to anyone that Yukio was somewhere in the shadows; watching his and Yahiko's every move. The waitress looked to Yahiko, listening to his 'put-it-aside' remarks and blinked a few times to adjust her vision. Putting her hands together, Tsubame nodded repeatedly, smiling and beckoning him quickly into the Akabeko. "Of course, Yahiko! You can order whatever you want, and the quantity doesn't matter! You just tell me what and it'll be out in no time!" That same determined mood of hers never faded away from her childhood, especially when it was returning the favor of someone like Yahiko. But, to her, nothing was ever enough, so even years in the future she'd still be trying to do whatever she can to repay the Shihan for all his kindness to her. "I'm indebted to you, really. Thank you so much for getting rid of those guys.. it.. it scares me that people in this peaceful era are still around like that.." Still, she felt more secure than usual now that the two strongest people in Tokyo were in town. Now it was just making the whole menu for Yahiko... thinking about that made the waitress sweatdrop, despite how she would do it no matter how much it took out of her own salary. Glancing outside before retreating to the chaotic kitchen, Tsubame saw Kenji with a girl, and she smiled. It was so good to find things finally coming together; or at least, she thought that of course. It was never bad to be in good spirits for everyone.

Chizuru giggled at the red-head as he stuttered along his question. Who'd have thought that such a determined, and powerful fighter, would be nervous talking to her? Then again, accoriding to some of her friends, she wasn't always the easiest to talk to. Apparently, she was intimidating sometimes, which she found surprising. Then again... she did get rather scary when angry.
"It'd be a pleasure to join you for lunch, Himura-kun," Chizuru smiled. "I've heard that Akabeko had really good food!"
She then tilted her head. Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu, huh? She couldn't say that she knew it the style, but she had a feeling with moves like that, not many do.
"So, you've been training under two styles! That must really benefit you a lot! I always thought of doing cross training... but first I figure I should at least get a base in something first!"
Yahiko blushed slighty at Tsubame's remark. "Really, you're not indebted at all." He waved slightly as she ran off to go and get some food done for the two heroes. A question then suddenly came by him; why did she admire him so? What made her stick around with him, the kendo freak? If she wanted, she could've been married by now, had a family with someone great, and yet here she was, still around him. It could be because of him. Though Yahiko was afraid of having a real relationship with her, he was also the jealous type, so guys who wanted to approach her, were probably intimidated by 'the childhood friend'. Eh, you could never win.
Yahiko gave a whistle to Kenji, meaning that they should head in to eat now. Even though the fighting was rather simple, it still made him hungry.
((Wow... that was a crappy post))

A light smile came out of the Shihan as he listened to Chizuru's words- maybe she could be a little intimidating to him at times, though in common sense cases it should be the other way around. But, concerning Himura cases, things didn't always make sense to the regular means of life. Kenji was glad she had decided to have lunch with them, it cheered him up and gave him small hopes of knowing her better. "Oh yeah, it does, definitely. I've been coming here ever since I was a small child. Good memories.." He could smile about that. Not most people had ever heard of Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu despite those that had come into contact with Kenshin battle-wise, and most of them in the Bakumatsu didn't quite live to tell the story. Overall though, Hiko had preferred it die with him, but Kenji was going to continue to be persistent with the old man. There had to be some way to keep it going through the Himura family line.. there just had to. "Yeah.. it helps me learn a lot of things from different perspectives, since well, I came from two very different families." Before the Sempai could really go into depth about anything, Yahiko beckoned him with a whistle to come inside; he was probably hungry, and no doubt the swordsman was as well.
Walking in, the teen found a location where they previously were before being interrupted by those ridiculous Yakuza, but even so, Kenji was slightly glad they showed up, or Chizuru wouldn't have seen him. Coming into the area, he sat down, gesturing for Chizuru to do the same with a warm-hearted smile before glancing at Yahiko once more. "Oh, and don't worry, this is my treat, order whatever you like." So maybe he knew more than a few ways on how to impress a girl here and there. The waitress then emerged from the kitchen, with a small notepad and pencil as she traversed to the area where Yahiko and the others were sitting. "So, what all can I get for you?" She made sure to smile brightly at Yahiko, perhaps moreso than usual, as she readied her hand for the vast amount of ink about to be placed on the paper. But she didn't mind; nothing about Yahiko ever bothered her, no matter how long she had to wait for the Shihan to come around.

The young woman nodded happily, promptly sitting down beside her Sempai. Ah, this was nice. Here she was, getting to know Tokyo with two of the strongest people in the town! Chizuru knew she had made the right choice. Now she could go around the town without her grandfather getting worried about her. Though not many people in the town realized it just then, Chizuru's family was actually quite wealthy; a long line of aristocrats, it wasn't unusual if her grandfather and her got threats of kidnapping and 'if you do not pay this certain group, you will be sorry' notes. Luckily for them, they had quite the group of bodyguards, so nothing to aweful happened.
Chizuru grinned back at the red-head. "Aww... thank you so much!" He was just too cute, with that adorable smile and his continuous politeness. Perhaps she had a little 'celebrity crush' on Kenji. After all, he was certainly strong, polite, and from what she could tell, with all the training, he had one hell of a body. And for any teenage girl, that was always a plus. Of course, she wasn't going to let her little crush get out of hand. After all, he was her Sempai first, and it would perhaps be a little bizarre for him to know that one of his students had a little thing for him. All she wanted for now was just to be friends. And that part seemed to be going well so far.
Yahiko smiled to himself. Well, it looked as though Kenji did have some woman skills. Good on him. He had to laugh though; he was so shy, just as Yahiko was that age... and still today. Hoo-boy... did his immaturity will stay with him after all these years?
His gaze then went onto Tsubame, who had come back to take their order. He took another quick glance at the menu. "Let's see now... to eat, I'll have the usual beef dish that I always take. To drink, I think I'll take something cold... so a bit of cold sake would be nice." Hah, that little trip to see Hiko must've rubbed off on him. It must be a Sensei thing to have sake with quite possibly everything. Not enough to get drunk though. To him, it was pretty much like how the French thought when having their glass of red wine with every meal. He then looked at the two teens. "Are you two going to have some as well? I mind as well take a bigger bottle if that's the case."
"Though it sounds good, I'll have to say I'll pass for today, Shihan. Thanks for the offer anyway!" Chizuru replied smiled at Tsubame. "Umm... I know to drink I'll just have some green tea, but, I'm not exactly sure what to eat, since it's my first time... what would you recommend?"

Kenji could only smile back at Chizuru, she just lit up his world like he never thought possible. Maybe she liked him a little, too. It's what he could hope for. Of course, the Sempai was completely unaware of her wealthy position, and he usually is to everyone around. Perhaps he just figured everyone was off about the same, and she didn't have to worry at all because he would surely protect her no matter what the circumstances are and could become. But for now, it was relaxing time. Besides that, it was slightly weird that she had never been here before.. and even refused drinking sake. Well, maybe she didn't feel like it. "Yeah, I'll have some, Yahiko. And I'm going to get the usual chashumen ramen, thanks Tsubame. You should come and sit with us if you have a moment." It'd make Yahiko realllyyy happy.. Of course, he wasn't going to say that. Turning to Chizuru, the swordsman blinked and then figured it would be nice to bring up some more friendly conversation. "So, now you know a little about me, why don't you tell a little bit about yourself?" The waitress looked at them and nodded, writing it all down conveniently on a small notepad while taking mental notes in her head also. You could never completely trust paper after all. It was the usual, and well, there was nothing wrong with that. Smiling lightly to Chizuru, she realized it was a little strange the girl had never been to such a renown restaurant of the area, maybe she had just never wanted to come in? Oh well, whatever the reason, it was probably a valid one. She looked like a nice girl for Kenji anyway. "Well, I would have to say that lots of customers enjoy our Tsukimi Udon- thick noodles in an egg yolk base. It's very flavorful, but there's lots of other good dishes."
Glancing over to the young Sempai, Tsubame blushed a little, stealing a look to Yahiko before bowing. "I.. I w-would love to, after my work!" She gave a cheerful smile with her bright brown eyes and waited for Chizuru to place her order.

((Ah HAH! I knew it was straw hat man! I bet he works for the Fukeshu... >.> Damn them and their basket hat ways!))
"I'll take Tsukimi Udon then!" Chizuru replied cheerfully, passing the menu back to Tsubame. She felt a little out of place, noticing that everyone else knew exactly what to eat without even looking at the menu. Sure, she had been here once before, but only to ask about the various dojos around the area.
The young student then turned to Kenji, still a large smile on her face, but flushing slightly, not quite sure what she should say about herself. Unlike him, she felt that her life wasn't all that exciting, even with the occassional threat going on. "Oh well... umm... well, I live with my grandfather, Raikoji Fukara... and just recently moved to Tokyo... and well... that's about it."
Yahiko raised an eyebrow for a moment, once he heard the name of her grandfather though, it made more sense. "Ohh....Raikoji... I knew the name sounded familiar. Didn't realize that he had a grandaughter though. Artisans and merchants of the sorts once upon a time, were you not?"
Chizuru rubbed the back of her head and laughed. "Not much goes pass you, Shihan Myojin."
"Well, I just know them because they used to be associated with samurai and now the Meiji government are they not? Helping out with foreign trading in the arts?"
"You know your stuff!" she replied, rather surprised. She didn't actually expect the Shihan to know that much about the government and their affairs. She pictured him more as a man who kept more to tradition, or at least just to the town news. She was wrong apparently. "Though... I'd appreciate it if not everyone around here knew, if that was alright,"
Yahiko shrugged and yawned. "No problem, no problem. You're safe with us." Though foreign trading of arts may not have seemed like a big thing, Yahiko knew that it wasn't any simple little doo-dads that they were importing and exporting. Priceless artifacts dating back to even before the Heian period... it'd fetch quite a price in the underground. It's no wonder that Chizuru didn't want to go and babble about her lineage. Yahiko may have come off as a bit of an idiot most of the time, he actually did know a lot of things that not just any regular townsfolk would know. He used to know half of these things actually when travelling around back when he still a teenager.
Speaking of adolescents, once Kenji had suggest for Tsubame to sit down with them, a flash of red passed through his cheeks. Ugh... why did he always behave so childish around her? No matter what, it was like he was fifteen-years-old all over again. Maddening , really. Still, he was happy that he was going to be able to chit-chat a bit with her without Yutaro making him look like an idiot hopefully. Speaking of which, where was he when those yakuza came around? Hmm... well, he probably figured that he and Kenji could take care of it. Though he was a very good fighter, he wasn't much for it. He probably would've been able to talk his way out of it... but where was the fun in that?

The swordsman listened in with interested ears as the conversation finally began to spark. Raikoji, traders related with samurai in the past? That got him involved enough. But, merchants..? The ones around Tokyo were usually very wealthy, especially if it involved rare artifacts. Chizuru had a lot more to her lineage than she had let on in the beginning- maybe Yahiko wasn't quite as oblivious as the Sempai thought. He nodded enthusiastically at the girl's last reply, of course they could keep a secret or two from everyone else, just like everybody didn't exactly need to know about the teen's parents either. It already posed enough threat, as low profile as it had gotten over the years, but imagine being in her position. Maybe that was why she was learning swordsmanship, to perhaps defend herself against thieves and threats. It was a good idea, you could never be too safe anymore concerning the safety in the streets. But for now it would be nice to settle down and have a decent meal without worry of all the constant problems outside the quaint little restaurant. The smile still dwindled on the swordsman's expression as he glanced at Yahiko's blush before focusing back on the pale girl beside him. "So, this is your first time around here?" What seemed like a little while had passed surprisingly quick, and before the waitress could realize she was being bombarded with plates and drinks for Yahiko and the others. Talk about quick service. Carrying the items in her hands carefully, and hopefully not to completely knock all of it over this time, Tsubame headed over to their area and began to set the food down. Brushing her apron and looking around awkwardly for a moment, the waitress quickly found a seat inbetween Yahiko and Chizuru, blushing slightly with the thought of rudeness. "My boss said I could take a fifteen minute break, I've been working the early morning shifts lately and not getting off until evening. It's hard work, pleasing everyone." She gave a cheerful smile all the more though, and made sure to try to make Yahiko feel as great as he possibly could. That was her goal.

Yahiko moved over a bit to allow Tsubame some room. Tae was always nice about giving her brakes. Well, knowing Tae, she was probably trying to 'further their relationship', as she tried doing a few times with Kenshin and Kaoru... like the Engagement Ring Incident. Never again. The spikey-haired hero had now made sure that he knew every possible way to ask a woman to marry him in every culture. He wasn't about to get tricked, even if he did care for Tsubame.
After grabbing a set of chopsticks, the Shihan began to dig into his meal, hungrily. They always made the best food here. Even as a child, he would try to eat here whenever he had the chance. Then again, Kaoru was never the best cook, so it made him want to eat out as much as he could. Quickly after that thought, he poured a bit of sake for Kenji, Tsubame and himself, as he took a quick swig. Though he did miss his old Sensei, he didn't miss her cooking.
Chizuru nodded. "Yeah... pretty much. I haven't been in Tokyo for very long. About a week I'd say. I enjoy it here so far, as does my Grandfather. If all goes well, she should be staying here for awhile!""
Time passed as the four continued to chat here and there, drinking abit, and eating of course. After the yakuza fight, there weren't any disturbances. Perhaps a person or two observing them from afar, but nothing else too harmful. Yahiko had eased out from the sake abit. Not drunk, but just a little more talkative and friendlier. Chizuru had been now chatting up a storm with Kenji, asking him just as many questions, and talking about when she used to live in Kyoto and Osaka, and any other place that she could really think of. The atmosphere was certainly nice. Even though the Shihan loved to fight, Yahiko did enjoy not having to worry about anything. Not worries about Tsubame getting hurt, or someone trying to get to the young Himura, or even just pushing people around. Maybe he was getting to that age where he did maybe want to settle down for abit. Continue in training in Kendo... but perhaps for a different purpose. It would be nice, but would fate allow it? He wasn't entirely sure.
Hands stretched into the air. "Well... I'd say we'd best start heading back... Kenji and I have a few things to finish up at the dojo, but it was nice talking to you, Raikoji. And it's always great having you around Tsubame. We'll all have to just relax and do this again sometime. I forgot what it's like having more than just Kenji and I drinking and having arm wrestling fights."
Chizuru smiled. "That certainly would be nice, Shihan Myojin. I'll take up the offer again next time." Her sweet eyes then turned over to her Sempai. "You two are really interesting to talk to. I'm really glad that I came to your dojo to train. And it was a pleasure meeting you again as well, Tsubame-chan!"
She then stood up from her seat and brushed her kimono off slightly. "Well... I'll be seeing you tomorrow I suppose, for training! Thank you again!"
"Wait-wait." Yahiko said, lifting his hand, and taking the last bit of his sake. "Since Raikoji has such a important background, I just wouldn't feel right letting you walk out on your own. Especially after the Yakuza thing. So... Kenji. I nominate you to escort Raikoji back to her residence. It would be the nice thing to do. Even if it is early. It'd be the gentlmanly thing for you to do. If that is even, in fact, a word."Red-brown eyes then looked across to Tsubame, more cocentrated. "And I'm actually concerned about you as well. You're always getting into trouble with guys like that. And I'm sure they won't be happy with what Kenji and I did to them today, so tell me when you get off work, and I'll bring you home too, alright?"
