Cael Cael stood and smiled at her. "Let me go use my magical powers and see." His tone teasing but he had always had a talet for reading th clouds and weather. Heading up the slope he stood at the entrance of the cave, scanning the sky pondering befoer coming back and settling again. "If the wind changes it will be gone by sunset, if not then it might be here all night." Pretty sure that she didn't want to be gone that long but that was the best he could do as even when you had a talent for it the weather could surprise you.

Magic powers...." she murmered, wondering what kind of magical abilities the stallion had. Annabell didn't know anything about Cerneyi's and so she wasn't sure if there was something he could do or not. Fascinated she stood up and followed him, curious as always.
She listened, fascinated again and tried looking up at the sky. She had no idea how he could tell what he did.... but she decided that he must really have magic, he seemed so... certain!
"Wow...." she said, turning her attention to him. She was curious how he did it but decided not to ask.

Cael Cael grinned and managed not to laugh, this mare was sweet and a little bit gullable, but he wasn't going to make fun of her for it, that would just be cruel. "Ae you far from home? It will ease up for a little while but it wont stop, or you are welcome to remain here till the storm is over." His pail peachy eyes gentle, looking at his familiar. "Will you be going hunting still or will you msake do?" Looking amused as the owl just closed its eyes and went to sleep.

Annabell nodded softly, then realised that that was the wrong responce. "Em.... well... its not too far, I don't think..." the fact was that she had got disorintated in the rain, it was too thick above the treeline for her to be able to see much. "Perhaps, when it dies down a little I should try and make a go of it...." her eyes looked up to the sky, she just hoped that she would get home without getting to wet and cold again, after all, she had only just started to warm up after the last time.
She turned to face him again, and shook her head. "I won't keeping hunting today. I have lost the trail now anyway so it wouldn't do much good."

Cael Tossing a large log onto the fire he settled again feeling nice and warm. "Do you know where you are going from here?" Prossessing the other part of what she sad, a little surprised, not having known a fallen star left a trail other than when it was actually falling. "I didn't know stars left a trail once they landed on the ground." Then again he didn't know anything about flying either, despite being smart as she put it, there were many things he didn't know.

Annabell turned away from the cave entrance and moved back towards the fire before sitting down beside him. An embarassed look crossed her face as she shook her head, "No... I.... am a little lost. I couldn't see much when it started getting heavy." She couldn't lie, it was disrespectful, but she simply didnt want to lie to someone who had helped her so much.
Pleased with the slight change of subject she nodded. "Yes, they are generally magnetic.... so my herd members wear lots of magnetic metals, they are attracted to the call of the fallen star and help guide the way. Plus when they fall they leave a dust trail in the air, it doesnt last long and is easily over looked...." She smiled, not fearing at all that this stallion would try and steal a fallen star from her. No, part of her suspected should they meet again and he had one he would happily give it up.

Cael Cael rested his head dwn as he thought, he could probably get her home easily but that would require him knowing where she lived which was forbidden, but he could probably loan her Hute, the owl never got lost and knew where to come home to... The problem with that is that they would probably keep Hute there as he knew the way. Sighing this being a dilemma.
"I wouldn't now about dust trails in te air, but I'll try to remember that htey are magnetic and keep something on me that will let me know if I find one." He doubted he would unless one landed on his head, but then strainger thigns had happened.

Annabell watched the flames flicker and slowly consume the new larger log. It was fascinating. She was enjoying it so much that she jumped a little at being startled when he spoke again, "Em.... yeah.... that would work." She blushed and looked away from him. She felt like a child, blushing and being embarassed under the watchful eye of an adult, not because he acted better than her but simply because she kept feeling like she was making mistakes. She supposed it was because she felt comfortable enough to let her guard down around him. Strange.....

Cael "Hmmm" Rubbing his anter on a near by rock looking thoughtful, trying to work out how to help her get home safely. "...bit of a conundrum... hmmm." Resting his head down again and going back to thinking, staring into the fire, clearly mincing over something in his mind

Annabell watched him, wondering what was going through his mind. Not wanting to disturb him she simply copied his movement, placing her head on her front hoof as she looked into the fire. The reds, yellows and oranges danced and mixed together.... and every now and then there was a streak of blue or purple. It really was fascinating. And it kept her mind busy.

Cael Sighing as he lifts his head sometime later. "I don't know how to help you get home, I could point you in th right direction but thats about it unless yu cant even tell me that much." Frowning a little still thinking hard, wanting ot get her home safe. Looking over to her and giving her a wonky smile as though admittign defeat.

Annabell couldn't help it, she burst into laughter. Perhaps it was just the stress of everything that had happened lately, perhaps it was the wonky smile upon his face, perhaps it was the strange tea. She didn't know but she laughed.
Finally the giggles ended, and she leaned over and nipped his mane softly, she hoped it didn't think she was laughing at him, but sometimes.... you just had to laugh. "Its ok Cael, thank you for trying. I am sure I will fine once I can see well enough above the treeline again." She smiled at him, a warm and genuine smile that made her eyes twinkle like little stars. "Thank you though. You have been so kind to me... I only wish there was a way to repay you."

Cael Cael looked rather bamboosled when she started to laugh and then he blushed deeply when she nipped his mane, the blush not fading as he looked at her, twinkling eyes and everything, she looked happy and relaxed and lovley, and it tied his tongue in a knot. Placing his nose down with his cloven hooves again he mumbled. "No need to.." Still bright pink in the face, which was natural for him but this was somehow darker and more.

Annabell continued to smile. "I know...." She stood up and shock her mane, there was a slight 'twinkle twinkle' as the odd metal stars rang like bells in her hair. As she hoped one fell out, her herd believed that catching a falling star was lucky... and so if they ever dropped any of their stars they were to leave them behind so that someone else would have luck.
She nosed the little gold trinket towards him. "For you. It is meant to be lucky." She smiled once more, "And it may help you find a star of your own?" She tilted her head softly and watched it, it was then she noted that his cheeks were red... well redder than normal. She didn't comment on it, for that would be rude, instead she just acted as normal.
She looked to the entrance, the rain was still going but at least it was slightly lighter.... just as Cael's magic had told him it would be. She supposed it was time to leave, though part of her didn't want to.

Cael Cael looked from the star to her to th door annd back to her, he would have to find a way to wear her gift, but he was sure he would. Smiling at her again still pink cheeked. "Thank you..." Looking to th door the rain more of a drizzle now than it had been. "Now is your chance, this repreieve wont last long." Moving to the door again, picking up the star on his way and placing it safly on a stump. Looking at the clouds. "The wind changed... you will have a clear starry night." Smiling at her, th sky lighter as the rain had eased up, the storm was passing, and in far distance there was a hint of the end of it as well. Smiling at her gently. "I have enjoyed meeting you Annabell Grace."
