After dusting her snake, Hesperis had continued on her little spree, smacking whatever she ended up in smacking range that wasn't another knight.

Friendly fire was uncool, man.

She'd been doing a good job, really, until her leg suddenly seized up, sending her tumbling down with a started cry. "s**t !"

Her damn leg wouldn't move, and one of the youma was finding it to it's advantage - one large, clawed paw was going down on her, but she rose her staff just in time to block it.

"Damnit, that's unfair, ugly !"

There was a pleased and relieved nod as Camelot expressed his success, Bimini withdrawing his bowl before turning his attention back to the barrage of monsters.

Before he'd never really worried about chucking his bowl around willy nilly. Battles never lasted long and he had no real use for his water. But now.. after witnessing usefulness he was torn. What if someone else got that junk in their eyes too? Ughhhh..

Bowl tucked carefully and firmly as he could manage in one arm, he approached the nearest youma, attempting to stomp at it with his soft shoes.

Camelot rubbed his eyes a few more times while he had the chance, his vision blurry. But at least it was vision, he told himself silently, taking a look around to see all the youma and knights fighting, and the mess that was being made.

This was ridiculous.

"Thank you very much," he said to the knights who had aided him, Annwn and Bimini. His attention was drawn, however, as the last of the youma tried their best to avenge their dusted groupies.

He heard Hesperis swearing, a sound he was getting rather used to, though in this context he was even less happy to hear it than in casual conversation. She sounded like she was in danger, and a look around allowed him to spot her slightly fuzzy form not too far away. With a youma trying to attack her.

"Oh dear!"

He couldn't help everyone at once, though his instincts certainly told him he wanted to. He grabbed his shield and threw it as hard as he could, rather like a frisbie or something he had seen in a movie. It span toward the youma that was attacking Hesperis. Considering it was made out of wood, and not a particularly strong one at that, coupled with with the fact that Camelot had never thrown it before and his aim might be off, if it was actually effective in any way was up in the air.

While Hesperis' right leg was currently doing nothing to help her at all, she still had a very valid vision, and two working arms.

So she saw Camelot's shield coming, and while it was off a bit, the young page was able to use her staff to raise the offending youma just enough to help fate a little bit - smack went the shield right at the thing's neck, and down in dust it went.

Unfortunately, down was also Hesperis' location, through she had the common sense to at least close her mouth and try not to snort too much youma dust.

Ew.

Were they missing someone? "Anyone see where the uh... Squire went to?" Valhalla called over to the others, kicking one of the youma dogs that decided he was a good target. The other knight went missing a while ago, and while he was sure he could handle himself, he just didn't like not being able to keep an eye on everyone. For now, he was bringing up the rear, making sure that the way behind them was cleared as they went, not wanting to give the youma a chance to circle around and attack them from behind.

There were too many of them to make this easy, but thankfully if they did this one at a time, they should be able to kill the monsters soon enough. Too bad that swordfish had been broken the last time he'd fought a youma in the library. It would have been handy about now.

"You okay?" Valhalla asked, offering a hand to Hesperis, after being impressed by Camelot's aim. "Nice shot," he called over to the older man, giving him a nod of appreciation for keeping track of those there.

"I think there's still a couple dog creatures running around. I wasn't able to kill them and they darted off," he informed the others, including Bimini and Annwn, glancing around for the youma and not seeing them. He could sense them though, but just nothing exact.

Camelot had lost track of the squire, though he couldn't remember if Niflhel had even really joined the fight to begin with. Everything was a bit blurry, literally, and he hadn't actually seen anyone until just now.

Camelot was surprised by his aim as well, of course, as he had been very unsure about it. Sure, he would have missed the thing completely if Hesperis hadn't lifted it into the shield's path, but couldn't this be one of those 'thought that counts' moments? He had thrown the thing with the intention of hitting it, after all.

Totally counted.

He wasn't sure where the dogs were, until they attacked. One went after Bimini, the other charging for Valhalla. Camelot imagined it was because he had pointed them out. Did youma get mad if their cover was blown.

Unfortunately, Camelot wasn't particularly close to either of them over the other, and he had to run to get his shield back first.

It was the growl that had accompanied the charging dog youma that had alerted him mere seconds before he was crashed into. His bowl clattered away, losing the precious water he'd been trying so hard to keep a hold of, the knight and youma struggling on the ground in between the many folds of fabric.

"Oh no no no! Bad doggie, bad!" His voice was frantic as he could feel teeth and claws actually tearing their way through his pants.

Attempting to push away the youma or at least get his thick sash in between the monster's teeth and his body it was dumb luck alone that he was able to loop it around his neck. Between Bimini's arm and the makeshift leash the monster was held just far enough away to keep him for eating the page's face off. But it was only a temporary fix as the page struggled to kick the youma away and the youma struggled just as hard to claw and pull his way back up.

"Yeah... Yeah." She said, taking Valhalla's hand and slowly making her way back on her feet, through the older male would have to aid her more than she would have preferred. "I can't feel my leg, through... I think there was something in that snake's bite..."

Sure enough, she could move her leg... But she couldn't feel anything at all. The lack of sensation had been enough to throw her off, but once the shock had passed...

Well.

"Good thing I dusted the damn thing first..." At least she was the only cripple, and she could learn on her staff.

Through... Bimini was in trouble, and the other dog was coming for them. Hesperis tried to whack without losing balance, but didn't quite manage to do much beside a grazing hit.

Grr.

Now her leg was starting to feel like she'd been sitting on it too long - like a million pricks and needles.

It was driving her nuts.

Bimini needed help, but thankfully Camelot looked like he was on it. They had their own nasty to fend.

"s**t..." Valhalla growled to himself, taking hold of the younger page's arm to hold her (him?) up, while trying to look down and see if he could catch sight of the puncture wound and figure out what to do from there. He would have picked her up into his arms, but it didn't seem as though that would be very welcome. In fact, she looked like she might punch him if he tried to do that. Instead he kept a tight hold on her arm, watching as she stood and staggered.

"We're going to need to get your boot off. The blood shouldn't be cut off if it's poison," he said with a frown, ducking down to try and get her arm over his shoulder so he could hold her up better.

And then the youma decided to try and attack. He kicked at it while Hesperis tried to hit it with her stick, but it simply dodged out of the way, and Valhalla almost stumbled back under the weight of the other page. It wasn't like she was heavy or anything, but she was throwing him off-balance.

"Little help?" he called over his shoulder, trying not to sound too panicked as he attempted to force Hesperis back and against the wall, using himself as a make-shift shield in case the youma lunged for them. He wasn't going to leave her on her own, and he couldn't exactly fight without doing so... so what other choice did he have?

Camelot was having a hard time keeping up with everything, but he was dedicated to the idea of keeping everyone alive and in one piece, or their respective individual one pieces, if he could. He did not want to see anyone get hurt, at least not further than they already had.

He scrambled to run and get his shield, needing it if he was going to try and help anyone else. There had to be a better way to throw it, so it didn't just go end up being a useless piece of wood on the floor after hitting one thing. He was new to this method, though, so he was going to have to work on it a bit more.

Maybe not in the middle of the of a fight.

He grabbed the round piece of wood and hauled himself around, looking to spot Bimini struggling with the youma dog attached to his bow. "Hold on to it!" He said pointlessly, as that was clearly what Bimini was already doing. Hurrying over, he slammed the shield into the youma's head as soon as he was close enough. It cracked and then split into two effectively less useful pieces of shield.

But at least the youma dog seemed down and out for the count, so they could use more normal methods of stomping it out of existence.

"Hesperis!" He caught a glance of Valhalla and Hesperis, looking at the male knight though he was calling for the injured girl, "is she alright?" Of course, neither of them were, as there was still the very real problem of the youma rounding on them.

He was thankful for the assistance, but his heart dropped at the sound of wood splintering and cracking, the shield going from one solid piece into two.

"I'm sorry! Your shield!" He lamented as he scrambled to get up from the ground, an uncharacteristic frown crossing his face in a firm line. Sure he hadn't broken it but.. that didn't mean he didn't feel terrible about having some part in it. How did one even fix a shield? They didn't have many blacksmiths now a days.

It was a thought better left for later though. For now the least he could do was stick with Camelot and help defend him. His eyes scanned the area for wherever his bowl had fallen to. But not before giving the downed dog youma another stomp for good measure.
