Edel didn't quite know how to feel about her catch, picking it up with two fingers and looking at it. Was it even a catch? It's a seed after all. She did all she could do – picking up a pen beside the notebook and scribbling down quicky: Found – a seed. Maybe it was more about what the seed would grow into, but the frost demon still felt a little pathetic about it. ((Mp: Zyphiris))

minipet name: graceangel Gracie had returned to the creepy dark forest to check on her trap. she had spent many hours playing games and flipping tables. She was sure something had to catch this time. Well.. ok. so she had caught some fancy junk a few times. She was really hoping to get something more exciting than that. when she pulled up the cardboard box, she did find something. It was ... well, it looked like a cow skull. Upon closer inspection, it seemed to have an odd element about it that she wasn't quite sure what it was. ''hmm.. maybe i ought to just hold onto this in case it turns out to be something interesting later on." she picked it up and put it in a waist satchel. She then head off to the Misty fields to set a new rope trap.

Sin found trapping to be an interesting experience, it wasn't her type of activity per-say but creating and setting new traps was a challenge she enjoyed. Of course she hadn't really caught much of use yet, oh she'd found some junk and even a seed or two but as far as minipets went her efforts were proving a bit less fruitful. She had grown used to seeing her traps triggered but nothing waiting in them for her, so when she came upon the fallen branches of a clever pit trap she didn't expect to see anything inside. At first of course she didn't all there was was a puddle of water that had collected in the bottom of the pit. With a sigh she was about to reset the trap when her eyes narrowed in the darkness. Was that puddle moving? Aha! Not just a puddle but a water spirit! Grinning she moved to collect her new minipet and reset her trap. Perhaps this trapping experience wasn't so fruitless after all. She wrote into the book with a quick flourish and attached a picture of her water spirit.
Remember to check your traps thoroughly some minipets are so tiny or can be mistaken easily and overlooked, for example this water spirit in my pit trap was almost dismissed as a puddle. Good luck trapping - Sin Err[Mini SN: roxyroxanna]

After hitting it on the lid with a rock, Pickles very bravely carried his catch (a jar) back to the Catch of the Day center for a write-up. It had nearly gotten him into a jam, he had to wrestle the thing into submission and then jar the jar before it could roll to freedom, but now it was properly subdued and Pickles was ready to put the adventure to shelf.

Marosa held up the thing he'd caught with two fingers, looking quite a bit perturbed. The thing was dripping with slime, and not any that Marosa wanted to get on his body, thank you very much. He got a piece of paper and wrote with his free hand, giving advice to the next adventurers that wished to read it. Perhaps sometimes what you catch... is not always what you want to KEEP. -Marosa(( Profile: Marosa ))

Oppa had spent way too much time in the scarefari setting up trapps, only to yield 2 lumps of coal and some junk. This time, however, he seemed to have caught something else, it was shiny (that means it has value right?). He held up the fluff that got caught in the trap and examined it. It seemed to be warm and had a faint heart beat, he couldn't find a face though. Maybe it was like a tribble, if it could procreate that fast he could make a fortune selling them! That sold him, he would be taking the fluff home with him. (mininame: cheshire)

Zeke had been sitting around behind a bush for a while now in the dark forest. He set up a little trap made of sticks and leaves, in hope of catching something alive. After several hours, possibly even days, Zeke found himself comfortable in the bushes and decided to make camp there. As he was taking a nap, his trap went off! Zeke woke up immediately and slowly approached the trap. Dis is a critter, I know it! I got a good feelin' 'bout dis one! Strange. It looks like a bat, but it's not? Doesn't even look fuzzy. Or alive for that matter. Either way, Zeke was proud that he manage to trap SOMETHING. What a happy night! ((mini sn: scyerline))

It had come down from the heavens, sizzling like magic into its... cardboard box. How had mere cardboard, albeit with a few enchantments, managed to contain such a wonder? Malodore wasn't entirely sure... but it was glad it had worked. The box was rather crumpled, though. And a bit singed. It had waited for the grass fire to go out before approaching.

Sebastian was certainly baffled by his luck. He had been snooping around a trap he set ages ago and found an odd ... sphere. How in the world he kept managing to catch inanimate objects was beyond him.
Still, a win was a win. He sat down on the ground to better examine the sphere. It wasn't big really, he could fit in in his hand easily. The odd purple tint gave him an odd feeling though. It was sort of ... poisonous feeling. Of course, Sebastian had never really be fond of the color purple. Something about it was so ... so ... unsettling.
Carefully, he picked up the little sphere to evaluate his find. No spikes shot out at him, and it didn't suddenly catch on fire- that was always a plus. It was rather useless, at the moment, but he liked it nonetheless. Even if it was unsettling, it was something he caught with his own two hands. Who knows, perhaps it would be of further value in the future. Maybe he could make it into a necklace or something.
Whatever the reason, Sebastian walked to check on his other traps with a lifted mood. This scarefari thing was actually rather fun.

Sin's skill with traps was slowly growing her fingers more nimble now as she set them and a growing understanding of how her enchantments might benefit her. She started learning what tracks might belong to what minipets and trying to see how her traps had been evaded. She was managing to catch less junk and more minipets. Of course Sin didn't keep them all most she allowed to move on back into the mist or the dark forest. However the strange eye she found in her latest trap wasn't something she wanted to let back into the wild. Sin hadn't ever seen a minipet like this before, of course she wasn't familiar with EVERY species, but she certainly enjoyed learning about them. She walked over to the book where others were sharing their trapping experiences and wrote a quick note attaching a picture.
It appears in the wild there are more minipets then we've ever encountered in Amityville or elsewhere. Good luck to the rest of you trappers, and I hope you continue to share your discoveries with us. - Sin Err[Mini SN: roxyroxanna]

Somehow she had caught a log. Syb looked down at her trap, wondering if the log had been there before, and she just hadn't noticed, but she was almost positive it hadn't. Because, you know, it was hanging from the loop of rope, swinging lightly back and forth. "Oh my," she said, going to release it. "You're a lovely log! Do you have a name?" Sadly, the log never replied, even though she waited a good ten minutes to let it.

Lured by a series of woven sticks and a single berry, the bulb smelled faintly like...milkshakes? Pickles popped it in his pocket and went to record yet another harrowing capture.

Ulmuka sat in the bushes and staaaaaaaaared. STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARED. His trapping so far had been pretty awful. He caught things on his father's grounds with his bare hands were more successful! This time he put some leaves out with a string and waited. He wasn't sure how much time had passed. he'd gotten distracted by the passing clouds and when he looked back down his leaf trap wriggled. "Hee!" The giggling strix pulled out his prize. "How cute!" [sn: iloveyouDIE ]

Frankie had awaited three days for this to happen. All the traps she had set down, cardboard, wooden, a bush even, had failed to catch anything but coal and pyrestone. She was a guest student and you think she would be able to catch something. She grumbled to herself as she scratched a few words into the ground waiting for her trap to catch. It wasn't until the trap caught that Frankie jumped up, amazed. She had did it. Victory dance time, she did a little dance before going to get the ...thing she caught. A skull seriously? Someone must be messing with her. She almost threw it away but at the last minute decided she would keep it. It was growing on her anyways. She left a note about what she caught, new to the ways here. (sn:jessieomer)
