He didn't look up at her first comment, "Ya don't want to" he replied.
He knew a person like her should never have any reason to. At least he... hoped not.
"trust me,"
His voice was low, seeming to mumble every word he said.
Looking at the cuts she pointed out, Jerome silently got to work on cleaning and bandaging them.
Living mostly in poverty, one didn't really get the chance to go to an actual doctor very often. so Jerome picked up some tricks, and skills from other gang members, you would be surprised with how many of them knew first aid... Runners gave them lots of practice.
"They tried to take yer arm, didn't they?" He asked, looking over her mechanical arm. "ain't damaged is it?"

Izumi went silent, but nodded after a second. "Mmhm..." She winced while Jerome cleaned one of her more serious wounds. "I-I don't know... I don't think so... I'll have to run some diagnostics to be sure..." The blue-haired girl looked up at Jerome and smiled shyly, "Titanium is sort of hard to damage..."

Jerome let off a gentle grunt when Izumi flinched, and maybe, maaaaybe that grunt sounded like a light "sorry"
The scratches were not to bad. They would at least be easy enough to bandage.
Once he was finished he leaned back, and looked down at the mechanical arm.
At least something on her was tough, not that it was a problem.
"ya need any help?" Like he would know what to do if she did need help.

"N-no... I just have to um... sit down and look at it later... and wire it up with a computer to run some tests... It'll just take some time..." More than likely, nothing was damaged, it just never hurt to be safe, especially when dealing with such an expensive piece of equipment. If Wheatley were there, he could help speed up the process- Izumi frowned at the thought and looked at the floor.

Jerome had stood up, and was looking over his own cuts in the mirror... nothing he hadn't deal with before.
He nodded with her talking, but when she went quiet, he moved his gaze down to her.
"..."
reaching our, Jerome put a hand on her shoulder, not knowing how this will be revived, since the last time he touched her she got upset. But she kinda looked like she needed a hand on her shoulder right about now... he could imagine, what with one of her pokemon missing.
It kinda bothered Jerome that he knew exactly why to...

Izumi looked up at Jerome briefly before looking down again, "Wheatley is gone..." Why were things going so badly lately? There must have been some force out there that thought it was funny to torment her. Amazingly, Izumi didn't pull away or even flinch at the hand on her shoulder.

Oh great... how was he going to play this one?
He knew Wheatley was gone... he knew how, and he knew where the pokemon was.
But does he tell her that?
No! ******** no he can't tell her that.
Does he act surprised? Shocked? Upset?
Man... why was thinking of a normal, natural reaction so hard when it wasn't a surprise.
He did his best though, blinking a few times and remaining quiet.
"What do ya mean? Gone."
playing dumb might help, though there was an edge of confusion.

"Someone took him..." Izumi said sadly, not catching anything off with Jerome's inquiry. It seemed that everyone wanted to take from her lately. She wouldn't have been surprised if one of the thugs followed them back to her shop and was just waiting for the mechanic to be alone again. Izumi whimpered quietly.

And he knew this answer was coming, bringing up how he would react to this.
Jerome found though, that his reaction, wasn't at all as fake or guided as he though it would be.
his voice adopted a soft growl after a moment of hanging silence.
Trust be told, this news, even before, when Furs told him what he had done, HAD bothered Jerome.
If he lost Bro to someone, he wouldn't be okay with it...
"Was it those guys? gangs from the street? they start ********' with ya here?"
he asked.
Knowing very well he couldn't tell her what he knew.

Izumi shook her head, "It was in Sandalwood... I-I think it was Team Rocket. I-I don't know, I got knocked out... but a lot of other people lost their friends too..." The mechanic would have started tearing up again, if her tear ducts hadn't been exhausted already.
"A-are they going to..." Izumi paused, not sure if she wanted to directly quote Jerome or not. "um... mess with me?" That was all she needed was someone breaking into her house in the middle of the night and stealing her arm. The thought was terrifying, actually.

Jerome remained stiffly silent, careful as he listened to her story... one he already knew, but his hand squeezed lightly on her shoulder, as much sympathy as he was usually used to giving.
Her last question did raise a legitimate concern though, and he glanced up to look out the doorway of the bathroom.
"I ain't sure." He answered, though the reply was... optimistic.
Chances are, they didn't know who she was, or where she lived. when Damin and the others got up. They would tell about Jerome and some girl with a mechanical arm... but if they knew how to find Izumi yet, he didn't know.

That answer didn't make her feel much better... "Jerome?" Izumi started quietly, "W-will you stay here tonight...?" She didn't feel comfortable with the idea of spending the night by herself. It'd already been proven that Izumi couldn't really defend herself.

The question took him by surprise, it was unexpected, thats for sure.
He knew he stayed the night once before, but that was completely different situation, he was kind of stuck there. Now she was actually -asking- him to stay.
"Ya want me to stay?" He asked, blinking slowly as he lowered himself to sit on the edge of the bathtub. Watching her.
He probably had duty tomorrow, but honestly, that was in the back of his mind, he didn't do so well with this whole "duty" and "be on time" thing anyway.

"Mmhm..." Izumi replied quietly, "I... I don't want to be alone... W-what if they break in and-" She looked at Jerome, fear plain in her silvery eyes. If they knew where she was, and still wanted her arm, there wouldn't be anything to stop them from taking it. It would be next to impossible to replace, and that would be the end of her livelihood, at very least.

A real possibility Jerome had to admit.
And she was... honest about her concerns, He couldn't imagine she was having a very good week.
He blinked his eyes twice, lips parting slightly as he watched, as if to speak, for for one reason of the other, there was hesitance.
He knew what happened when Griffs came kicking down your door, Jerome saw it himself, saw the aftermath.
He saw them again, like he saw them every night, plastered on the inside of his eyelids.
Laying in their own blood, sprawled all over the apartment.
His eyes had glazed for a moment, before he snapped himself away from that past.
He didn't want that to happen to this women. Even though he wasn't sure how much help he would be. At least he would know what to do better than her.
"'right" He grunted, rubbing his hands together, fingers crossing down his palm a few times. "I'll stay."
