Akina nodded at the command, saying a quick prayer for him before turning to the other squad members, her voice a soft, yet urgent whisper.
"You heard him, let's move."
The squad quickly continued on, their soft-soled boots making hardly a sound, so practiced and experienced were they. Keeping low, they kept a sharp lookout for any other dragons as they headed for the next area. Hearing an explosion, Akina was tempted to turn back, but knew Neros could handle himself, and she had to stick to orders. Steadily and firmly, the squad made its way forward.

As he finished, Neros heard a roar loud enough to shatter ear drums shook the entire area. The sky went black as a massive dragon flew over head with great speed.
"Fatalis... I have to warn the others."
He knelt down and sent the rest of the squad a telekinetic message saying the next foe, is a Fatalis.

Akina sharply looked up upon receiving Neros' warning about a Fatalis heading their way. Sure enough, she spotted its dark shape approaching them from behind. Looking about, she beckoned a few members of the squad to climb up the rock formations about them and stay hidden. The others she motioned to simply hide from view, ready to attack. She herself stood in plain sight, poised and baiting the dragon.

The massive black dragon caught eye of Akina. It did a front flip in the air and flew back toward her flying in circles like a vulture before it landed after the third circle. It landed on all four legs and let out a tramendous(sp?) roar. Neros could hear the roar from as far away as he was. He sprinted as fast as he could toward the rest of his squad. This was gonna get nasty.
There is no way that its gonna lay off even after its tamer is dead. Its huge. And Lucifer wants it's heart?! I dont think I could lift it! Oh well, I'm gonna get as much as I can from it, if we can kill it.
He rushed into the area with the dragon. It reared its massive head white flames hot enough to melt even the strongest metals bellowed from between it's teeth. As it lowered its head Neros flew as fast as he could and tackled Akina on her right just as the boulder sized fireball flew over them. The flames burned off the leather on the back of his Borealis armor. The Lao Shan scales held up nicely. He picked her up and ran for cover as another fireball was fired at them. The ball hit the cliff edge behind Neros and Akina. The rest of the squad looked on in horror. It exploded throwing shrapnel and glass all over the battlefield. Rocks the size of people flew down and landed all around Neros.
"Ready up!"
He yelled as he ran toward a shallow slope leading up the mountain. His squad followed.
"Father be with us! Its monsterous!"
He put Akina down.
"Ok, we have one chance at this. Even with all this good stuff, we wont win at close range. I found a few shells on the way. There has to be a cannon around her somewhere."
H paused for a second to think.
"Fiend Hunters one and two, go find them. I saw a fortress like spire thing on the way up. Its all the up at the top, get going. Send us an alert if you find some." "Sir.""Sir."
They both took off at full speed up the hill. Sarge came up the hill. He found them on the enchanted map.
"Did you see that thing? I painted it. Watch your maps!"
He yelled up at Fiend Hunters one and two.
"We're in for one hell of a battle. This things teeth are as tall as we are. Not to mention its fast as a one of us flying for something so large."
The Fatalis flapped its huge wings as it lifted off. The gusts from its wings hit the remaining soldiers seconds later and knocked them over. Neros dragged Akina, who had fallen on her butt, into the bushes. Sarge scrabbled over too.

A gasp escaped Akina's lips as she got tackled by Neros. Eyes widened in surprise stared at the spot where they had been, the area close by smouldering from the fireball as large boulders rained down from above. Before she could utter a thing, Neros picked her up once more, moving them to a safer position. She eventually found herself dragged into a few bushes, where she could at last regain her breath and fully absorb the information and commands Neros was issuing. She nodded, what he said made sense. If they could find a cannon, they'd have a much better chance than trying to subdue it with what they have. She looked up to the one who was pretty much her older brother.
"While they're searching for the cannons, what would you have the rest of us do?"

evil "I want you and sarge to stay in cover and move to follow the others up to the fortress. Set some traps up for it. I need to keep its attention else where.. I hope we can beat this thing. Sarge you know what to do if I fall right?"Sarge nodded without saying a word. Neros turned and snuck down the hill once more.

Akina ndded at Neros' words, silently wishing him good luck as he walked back down the hill. She motioned to Sarge and they carefully made their way up the hill, sure to stay under cover and out of sight. She whispered to Sarge to confer on their mission.
"Do you have any ideas for traps?..."

Judging by its size, a normal pit trap wont work... we'd trap one claw and just make it more angry. I would say we need to pin it under something. When we get up there we'll survey the area.
He walked up the hill staying under cover. Meanwhile Neros was traveling down the hill. The Fatalis noticed him out of the corner of its eye and circled around and landed in the area it was just in. It flopped down causing a thunderous crash that could be heard up the mountain. As Neros came into view he stood up and drew the massive swords on his back.

Akina nodded in agreement and hurried up the mountain beside Sarge, glancing back only upon hearing the loud crash that signified the Fatalis' landing. Her eyes widened as she saw Neros appear in sight once more, drawing his sword. She almost went to him there...almost. But she knew her orders, if she were to help, then she'd best go about her mission as quickly as possible. She sped up her pace, meanwhile looking all about, keeping her senses alert and looking for anything they could use.

The Fatalis reared its massive head and the white flames spewed out of its mouth into the air. The flames fell to earth and turned the entire area into an inferno. Flames rained down chatching everything they hit on fire. Neros made a barrier with the sword and his wings. He moved around to try and dodge the flames. As he moved from one large ember to dodge the next one he didnt see descended on him. It burned the flesh of his wings and burned the feathers to ash where the layered for flight. He had, in an instant, chared remains of his fore wings. with all the strength he could muster he didnt cry out as he pulled his ruined wings back. His wings had feathers half way up to the joint. They had been burned black. Just as he pulled them back The Fatalis lowered its upper body and lunged its arm out and slash for Neros. The still raised sword protected him from the blow, but he was knocked to the gound. The Fatalis placed its clawed hand over his lower torso pinning him from the waist down to the ground. Neros lifted the sword and stabbed it in the hand. The sword covering his face and his upper torso. His arms and hair exposed. The dragon spouted its flames once more right down on him. The flames penatrated his gauntlets and burned the flesh and bones to ash up to his shoulders. The hair that was revealed disintegrated. The sword fell on him as he passed out from pain, bouncing off of his armor. Just as it hit the ground the power he gained the night a few days before awakened. The power surged from him ripping into the dragon's arm completely destroying it and frying it's nervous system. The dragon reared its head and fell over to it's right, dead. The power had awakened Neros.
"I need it's heart... It's heart..."
This was all he could say. The two in the fortress had slayed all that were there. The were resting from the battle and FH1 was looking at his map and notice the icon the represented the Fatalis turn grey, signaling its death. Neros sent a telepatic cry for help.

Takara heard the sizzling hiss of fire and turned once more to see the Fatalis showering Neros with burning embers. Her breath caught in her throat as she saw Neros' wings turn black as they burned before the dragon pinned him down with its giant claw. Something strange happened however, moments later, she sensed a great power in the area, one coming from Neros. It was incredible...dark...rather similar to that darkness that she had sensed within the cave from before. She was worried, there was no doubt about it. However, she put her ponderings aside as the dragon soon keeled over, dead. The telepathic cry for help was unneeded, for she was already on her way down the mountain.
She rushed to Neros' side, careful to keep an eye on her surroundings but nevertheless making haste as she retraced her steps down the mountain. She quickly dragged him to the side into some bushes to provide at some cover in case other dragons came past. Kneeling by his side, she felt for his pulse. Thankfully he was alive. She got to work, trying to heal as much of his wounds as she could.
Please be ok, Neros...

"Sister... Get it's heart... We need to get its heart..."
At this time he was very responsive, even if he had nubs sticking out of his shoulders for arms and lost the very wings and hair he was so proud of.

Akina arched an eyebrow as she looked over to where the Fatalis lay after hearing Neros' response. The heart was probably bigger than she was. Not to mention she had no idea why he would want the heart, and from that day in the cave, she'd held a small reserve of caution. She was worried about him, what he planned to do, what he would do. She was now trying to heal his arms, or at least nudge them in that direction. Angels healed rather well, but these burns were major and without a doubt needed magical attention in order to even remotely heal. Her hands gently hovered above his right arm, healing energies streaming into it as she bent her will to heal and rebuild the muscles. She was still about to talk, however, a part of her mind remaining aloof from her work. Her voice was soft, half afraid of his answer and what implications it may carry. Her eyes were a sad blue as she awaited his response.
"Please, tell me brother, why do you need the heart?..."

"I... I need it... To fix these..."
He looked at the arms that she was trying to heal.
"They will be useless my nerves were cauterized(sp?), Lucifer was his squads healer... He can do it... He needs the heart... It holds many secrets. Healing properties... He plans to uncover them... Please... Take as many materials as we can get... They can help us out against more of these monsters..."

Akina nodded her acquience, "Very well..." Looking up, she saw Sarge approaching them, having seen her take off when the Fatalis was killed and Neros wounded.
"Sarge, cut open that creature and get its heart and get some more men and salvage whatever else you can take from its body that may be useful."
She touched his forehead, using her energy to numb his pain now that she saw his wounds were beyond her healing.
