Keeping his golden eyes trained on Malodore, Jericho was somewhat curious of what its notes looked like. He figured he'd get to see them soon enough however. And it turned out that it had finished fairly quickly. Grinning to the Plague doctor, he was just about to touch down but Riley decided to let go of him already.
Not expecting to be let go all of the sudden, the force from his wings propelled him up and back in the blink of an eye.
"Ah!" he cried out while trying to right himself in the air. With how low to the ground he was, that didn't quite work out and he ended up crashing into the dirt a short distance away.
"urgh... Thanks Riley," he said, sounding a bit muffled due to his face being in the ground.
Pushing himself back to his feet, he brushed off the dirt and made his way back to the others to see what these notes were exactly.

Malodore held out its notes - then bent down and smoothly retrieved its hat from Luce, who had come back with it and was sitting patiently at her master's side, tail thumping the ground every so often. Once she was relieved of her burden, she promptly laid down on Jericho's feet. Mmm, warm feet...
"I believe they should be correct, though I would like to examine the muscular structures at rest, as well - if you wouldn't mind, of course," it added, quickly. Jericho was a friend after all, not an experimental subject! "And, Riley, if you could identify which muscle sets I should expect to use and train myself..."
((This is where I reveal that I know crap-all about what muscles go where or do what so assume Mal did it right 8D;;; derp!))

Riley gave Jericho a sweet look, brushing a bit of dust off his shoulder, before taking the notes in her own hand. She eyed them critically, and then reached out for Malodore's pencil. May I, love? She murmured for permission, before her clean penmanship added her own notes pertaining to the muscle structures that were in play.
It looks like the muscles most obviously involved are both sides of the trapezius, obviously. That's where your implants are going to go in. The support structure will end up forming all new muscles, branching off of the scapula, which you don't have drawn here because you probably didn't see it at work. She sketched in a quick indicator of where the scapula was, dipping down under the trapezius muscles that Malodore had seen Jericho flex. The teres major and minor seem to have also flexed during the examination, according to your drawings.. I did not expect them to come into play, but that does change things somewhat. I'll prepare a regimen of shoulder, trapezius, and side work for you, so that all of these are covered.
She handed the sketches to Jericho, in case he wanted to see.

Briefly, Jericho gave Riley a wary gaze, then waited patiently while she looked over the doctor's notes. Flight was more of an instinctual thing for him at this point so he didn't really think that he could be a great deal of help in terms of identifying the muscle structures involved, but that was what Riley was here for.
Taking the notes, he tilted his head, intrigued by what he saw. It was definitely interesting to see the wing movements in more of a diagram type display.
Whenever he was done, he smiled and looked towards Malodore.
"Of course. Go on ahead," he nodded, "And let me know if you want me to move anything."

Malodore stared at Riley for a moment, the sweet words of Science flowing from her in delicious caress. If it was a sexual creature, that most definitely would have been sexy. Hell, it was practically por-
Ahem.
The plague doctor shook its head slightly, then focused. "Ah, yes, grazie - clearly there is much work I have to do..." It paced over to Jericho and leaned in, staring at the dragon's back. "I imagine implanting a full wing structure all at once would be a very bad idea... that is how the elders do it, all at once, but they have secrets I lack..." A frown crept into its voice. "Without their techniques, the full spars would likely tear out of the musculature immediately."

When Malodore came over to examine his wings, Jericho remained still. However, he glanced back towards the doctor just to see what it was doing exactly.
"So you plan on kinda... growing the wings in then?" he asked. It was a bit of a strange thought but he supposed that wouldn't be impossible. It seemed that there were few things that were truly impossible in the realm of Halloween. As far as he could think at the moment in the very least.

Riley was just as interested in looking at the muscles of Jericho's back, as this entire experience had her intrigued on the mechanics of flight. She took a place behind Malodore, reaching out to gently unfurl one of Jericho's wings and watch the muscles under his skin react to the movement.
One finger went down from his shoulder, to his shoulderblade. See there, the scapula just barely makes his shoulder react with the movement. You don't see the actual scapula, you only see what it's making his shoulder do.
When Jericho turned his head, she looked up at him with a cheeky mischief in her eyes. I hope you don't mind us poking about. We're being very gentle, I promise. I never realized just how interesting the wing function is. Winged creatures such as yourself probably have much stronger backs, simply because of the natural workout they receive from their wings. I suppose this means you can lift more than me, on the weights. We shall have to test that.
She recounted Malodore's words in her head, even as she traced down the sideline of one of the muscles she hadn't previouslly suspected would be involved. No, you're absolutely right. We'll be doing this carefully, and safely. In steps, certainly. She tilted her head, brushing it briefly against the rim of Malodore's hat. I won't let anything happen to hurt you.

Malodore nodded, slowly. "The muscle and underlying skeletal structures will be present. Plaguelets are born with wings, after all, so it is not as if I am stabbing a wing-structure into an utterly unprepared musculature... but they have atrophied, no doubt. I do not even remember having wings at all."
It stood for a moment, trying to figure out how to 'flap', but all that resulted were its backblades arcing against each other. Rather like a humanoid Reaper trying to wiggle their ears...

Grinning to Riley, Jericho just chuckled and nodded while relaxing and letting the two exam his wings. He was also listening intently to what they were saying as this was all fairly intriguing to him.
"Oh. And chest muscles too," he added, "More so for those who don't have arms and wings but they're still important."
That much, he knew, just from feeling where things 'burned' when he was building up the strength as a little one to try and fly.

Riley patted Jericho's side roughly. The chest muscles are actually working harder than you think for a different reason. It's these guys, on your side, pulling them taut when you flex. So flexing your chest causes them to tighten up, etc. Chain reaction, so to speak.
Riley studied Malodore's blades for a moment, mulling them over. You're right, of course.. the muscles you'll need to work on are actually already under your control. They move your backblades. I never realized this until now.. I suppose a steady amount of backblade flexing is actually going to do you more good than even my regime for the rest of your muscles.
She traced a claw gently, affectionately, down the line of Malodore's back, where the muscles it had to have to keep those backblades up, were. Those would be the ones I thought you would need to grow.. but they're already there. Just waiting. She chuckled. I suppose that means the two of you finally have something in common, that I don't have.
Her hand dropped to it's waist, where it sat comfortably. I am surprisingly not at all jealous. She teased.

"Yes, I am sure Jericho and I will bond deeply over our shared anatomy," Malodore said, amused. "We can go to the gymnasium together. I am given to understand that such things are approved 'manly' activities?"
"Then, perhaps, I could go to a tea party afterwards. Just to be entirely fair," it added.

Well that made sense. Since Riley seemed to be done examining him, he turned on around to face the two, chuckling at Mal's comment.
"Yeah sure thing. Though we're going to have to start out slow. Don't wanna over exert you and all," he mused, "Though the tea afterwards would probably help you relax and recoup after the workouts."
Glancing to Riley briefly and added, "Between the two of us, you'll be in the skies in no time."

As amusing as their quips were, she now had work to do. And it was work she was going to enjoy doing. She brushed them both off, looking suddenly impatient. Fine, fine. Bond on your own time. I'm going to get to work on preparing your regime schedule, Malodore. I hope you know that I will not be going easy on you just because I love you, my dear. Rest assured, I predict some definite improvement by the time you are ready for the implants.
She took Malodore's sketchbook one final time, flipped through each page quickly, committing all of it's information to memory, and then handed it back. Are there any other tests you wanted to perform?

"I think for now, this is sufficient." Malodore bowed low to both of them, one hand automatically reaching up to hold its hat onto its head. "Grazie mille, i miei amici. I am certain I will have need of both of your aid in the future... I will start small, and work my way up from there."
It opened its beak in a slightly shaky, but determined smile.

Smiling, Jericho watched the two for the moment, nodding to the doctor as it said that was enough for now.
"Sure thing. I know you can pull this off, but best of luck to you my friend," he said.
Glancing between the two, he quirked a brow, then glanced at the monster dorms.
"Well, I'm sure you have a lot of work to do right now, so I'll go ahead and leave you two to do that. If you need anything else from me, give me a call."
