"I definitely hope we can hang out at the festival too!" Xiu's tail gave an almost imperceptive wag. Honestly, she wasn't sure where she picked up this tail-wagging business--Baku usually didn't do it--but it was a telltale sign that she was happy.
Xiu pulled off her apron and reached out to give the ghoul a hug. "No problem! Um, I...I'm really glad I got to bake with you," She smiled, suddenly looking a little bashful. Her gaze flickered towards the clock that hung on her kitchen wall, and then to Mitsu's cookies. "If you want to give Shun your spookies now, why don't I walk you to the reaper dorms? It's starting to get kind of late."
It really was a lot of fun to bake with a friend! Xiu made a mental note that they would have to do this more often. Picking up one of her wrapped packages of spookies, she held them out to Mitsu. "For you. I can't eat all of these myself, and you're giving most of yours to Shun, so..." She cleared her throat. "Anyways, shall we go?"

The tail wag from the baku made Mitsu's tail start to wag as well, though for her it was a more natural action. Removing her apron, Mitsu carefully folded it and set it aside looking to to Xiu as she mentioned walking her to reaper's dorm.
"O..oh, i-if you want to!" Mitsu's smile broadened when Xiu handed her a package of the spookies she had made. "T..thank you." Holding the spookies close Mitsu grabbed the ones she made for Shun.
"Sure, let's go." Mitsu nodded. Pulling out her phone she gave Shun a quick call before they headed over. She wanted to be sure he was there after all.
Leaving the demon dorms Mitsu ended up needing Xiu's help to be guided out. Her sense of direction was as amazing as ever. At least she knew her course through the reaper dorms and in no time they were standing outside Shun's door. Lifting her hand the lycan left a light knock before waiting for Shun to answer.

After receiving the call, Shun just waited around his room until he had heard the knocking his door. He wasn't really sure what the cause for the impromptu meetup, but he didn't mind either. The Reaper hadn't really been doing anything important anyway.
Opening the door to see Mitsu and Xiu there, he nodded to them in a silent greeting before letting them in.
"So what's the occasion?" he asked.

"Good evening," Xiu greeted when the reaper opened his door for them, "We're here to deliver something. Or at least, Mitsu is." Grinning, she turned to look at the lupine, giving her a gentle nudge. She was certain that Shun would be pleased by the outcome of Mitsu's baking, especially considering how well they came out.
Though, even if he didn't like spookies, Xiu hoped that he would at least pretend that he did. Mitsu had worked so hard! Standing beside her friend, the Baku rested a hand on her shoulder while staring up at Shun, as if trying to send him a telepathic message.
You will like these spookies. You will like these spookies.

"H..hello." Mitsu felt suddenly nervous. Why was she nervous?
"I..I uuhh.." Mitsu trailed off a little but luckily Xiu was there to help edge the conversation along. With the gentle nudge Mitsu moved forward a little, clutching the spookies in her arms suddenly uncertain.
Sheepishly tilting her head up toward the reaper she held the wrapped spookies she had made out at arms length. "I..I made you some spookies. Xiu showed me how." She hadn't moved her mask aside yet but she was blushing pretty fiercely at the moment. "I..I hope you like them."

Raising an eyebrow to Xiu, Shun turned his attention over towards Mitsu to see what this was all about. She seemed rather nervous which really had him curious. When she produced the spookies, he carefully took the little package and looked it over.
"You made these?" he asked her.
This was a bit of a surprise but it wasn't a bad one he thought. Looking at the package a little longer, he unwrapped it and went on to try out one of the spookies. These were bound to be good, right?
The Reaper took a bite and paused. It was... oddly crunchy. And not in a good way. It was too sweet and... it was just... not very tasty at all. He had to really force himself to swallow the one bite. It was quite possible the worse cookie he had ever had.
"...These are... interesting..."

Xiu scrunched her brows up in confusion. "Interesting?" They had followed the recipe very carefully, so the spookies should have come out perfectly. She pat Mitsu with the hand that she had resting on the ghoul's shoulder, trying to be reassuring. Meanwhile, she raised her brows questioningly at the reaper.
"Not much of a spookie person?" That must have been it. She smiled, before glancing at Mitsu from the corner of her eye. Making sure that the lupine wasn't watching, the Baku mouthed her next words. She worked really hard, Shun.

"Y..yes." Mitsu nodded to confirm allowing Shun to take the cookies. She watched the reaper carefully as he took one of the cookies and bit into it. His...facial expression didn't look like he enjoyed it...it fact it looked like he was struggling to swallow the bite in the end.
"I..interesting?" Her ears deflated a little though she turned to Xiu when the baku patted her on the shoulder. She seemed to be trying to reassure her but Mitsu wasn't so sure. Who didn't like spookies? Holding the other cookies she had close Mitsu suddenly found a great interest in the floor between her feet. "S..sorry. I'm not very good at baking.."

"It's.. a very.. distinct flavor," Shun said while staring at the cookie he had bitten. Looking up towards Xiu, he saw the words she mouthed to him. Ugh. What was he supposed to say now? The cookies were horrendous.
"Well... not bad for a first try I guess," he said while noticing Mitsu staring towards the ground.
He was assuming this was a first try since they had mentioned the Baku teaching the wolf how to do this.

...Okay, that answer would do, she supposed. She smiled and gave Mitsu a one-armed hug, nodding her head enthusiastically. "You really did do a good job!" Xiu sighed heavily then, pulling away from the lupine. "Actually, I think you're going to surpass me if you keep practicing, and I've been baking since I was young! We're officially rivals from now on." She crossed her arms, but the grin on her face indicated that she was just teasing.
"Come over and bake with me again sometime, okay?" She paused so that she could look up at Shun, "I'm sure Mitsu will make you lots of tasty food in the future, so get ready to be awed!"
She was still a little confused how the spookies didn't turn out though, according to Shun's reaction. She would have to try one of her own when she got back. Speaking of which, "I should go now. Did you want me to walk you back to your dorm, Mitsu?"

Mitsu's ears twitched a little not sure what to make of the comment a 'distinct flavor.' It certainly didn't sound good. She had to wonder if Xiu's batch turned out okay. Maybe it wasn't her, maybe it was the...stuff they were using?
"T..thanks, Xiu.." Though Mitsu just stared at the baku awkwardly when she mentioned being a baking rival. Somehow Mitsu had a feeling her skills would be on the don't do this list. "I...I'll try better next time." She nodded.
"I..I should be fine to walk back on my own. Thank you for walking me this far." Mitsu at least managed to smile then. "And thank you for taking the time to teach me." Stepping toward the baku Mitsu reached out to give her a hug before pulling back to look at Shun.
"I..I will try harder next time..." She said again.

Shun looked back and forth between the two girls. His gaze lingered a little longer on Xiu as she mentioned Mitsu cooking more things for him. He... just barely managed to keep himself from grimacing at the thought but if these cookies were any sort of indicator, he better prepare himself for some.... interesting foods in the future.
"..Keep up the hard work," he told the wolf girl with a nod.

"I'll go back first then," Xiu smiled, returning the hug, "Let's do this again sometime! The only direction your skills can go is up." She chirped optimistically and gave her another reassuring pat on the shoulder. She turned to Shun then so that she could wave.
"Enjoy your spookies!" Yes. Enjoy them. She gave him a pointed look.
With a wave to both of them now, the Baku left to return to the demon dorms.

Mitsu smiled a hidden smile as Xiu tried to reassure her. She guessed the baku was right, her skills really couldn't get any worse. "I enjoyed spending time with you. Thank you for having me over!" Mitsu called as Xiu left waving to her friend.
Turning back to Shun her ears fell a little. "I..I will try harder. I..I'm sorry they aren't very good." Looking at the spookies that Xiu had given her Mitsu opened up the package and offered Shun one of those. "Xiu made these s-s-so they probably taste much better."

"See you," Shun nodded to Xiu before turning his attention to the lupine. She seemed a little... saddened. He wondered if his wording was too harsh. The reaper had some trouble gauging that sort of thing.
"Don't worry about it," he said quietly before glancing at the other package. As she opened it up, he went on and took another bite of his cookie.
..Yep. This was one terrible cookie alright. Even so, he just kind of forced himself to finish eating it. Somewhat warily, he glanced at the one offered to him before taking a bite out of it. It was definitely better tasting than the one Mitsu had apparently made, which had him wondering what it was she did to her recipe.
"..Well you did your best, right?"
