SWINGING DOWN THIS SCYTHE.....

Akumu hears Yuki's music and begins humming along with it. He can feel her soul matching to the music. He lets his soul match it as well.
He also hears Andy sending him a telepathic message. He knows though that she can't hear his thoughts, so he wonders how to respond.
As he ponders this he passes a piano store. He looks in and sees a beautiful grand piano on display. He gets an idea and walks inside. He walks up to the owner of the store behind the counter.
"Excuse me sir. I noticed that piano you have in the front there. It is a fine piano. On your sign it says you make all these yourself, correct?"
He asks the owner who turns to him with at first a suspicious gaze, but soon changes as Akumu shows interest in the piano.
"Yep. Sure do. They are all hand-crafted by myself. Why? Do you want to buy it? I don't think a youngster like yourself can afford it."
The man says to Akumu with a prideful smile at his work.
"Well, I would buy it, but I have no way of getting it home. Instead, how about a deal? I am a very talented pianoist, and for free of charge if you let me play that fine instrument, I can help you attract customers with my music. Sound fair?"
Akumu proposes with a smile.
The man looks at him suspiciously for a moment, but then nods in agreement after noticing the guitar case on Akumu's back, showing that he must be a musician. He might as well, since no one else will come in here. It would be good entertainment at the least.
Akumu nods back and walks over to the piano. He sets his guitar case against the bench and sits down. He tests a few notes for tuning. Already tuned. Very nice. He then cracks his fingers and places his fingers above the keys.
He then starts playing a very upbeat, jazzy tune he knew. As he plays he lets his soul wavelength match the music and starts sending out the soul wavelength to everyone in town. Most wouldn't really notice the wavelength just the music, but hopefully Yuki and Andy can feel it.
He was in the center of town, but the village buildings are made of timber and all connected by beams, so the music will travel throughout all of the town.
He lets himself fall into the music as he closes his eyes and plays. He has memories of when he was a child and his mother gave him piano lessons. He is so into the music that a tear escapes his eye. He doesn't mind though, and allows the music to carry him.
"Feel the beat of the soul, Kanoe Village."
He thinks in his mind as he plays.

SWINGING DOWN THIS SCYTHE.....

Akumu grins as he feels the wavelengths of many souls gathering around the store. They were pushed against the glass of the store window; all watching in awe at his playing skills. He grinned at their excitement in his music.
Luckily the store owner had locked the front door, so the audience wouldn't be busting down the door and swarming him. He had one of his bulkier store workers, who handled the heavy-lifting, watching over the door to make sure no one tried anything. How very kind of the owner. He knew an entertainer and how they worked very well.
He also felt Yuki and Andy's soul wavelengths amongst the crowd. Good, he would need them. He could tell Andy was more open to talking with him now.
Sadly it would have to wait. He could also feel the souls of three evil humans in the audience. They hadn't detected that he was a Shibusen student. That was good. They could have the element of suprise. Andy could maybe get information, and Yuki could start her soul collection.
He finished up the jazzy tune with a masterful flair, allowing the audience to applaud him as he stood up and bowed to them.
He picked up his guitar case and went back into the rest of the store. The owner was ready and shook his hand as he let him out the back door into an alleyway. Luckily, no one was waiting for him and he gently walked off as he heard the owner let the people in. They flooded him with questions on where the musician had gone, and how much for the piano. He did his job as an advertisement well.
He homed in on the three evil souls, who were now begining to leave the area. They were still in a group. It would make them easy to track, but a harder fight. Especially since Yuki and him did not have any real combat experience. Hopefully Andy could help them out with her nature and regeneration magic. They would probably need it.
He looked out into the village square where the crowd just was. He sees many people are still looking for him. He couldn't chance being noticed. He opened his guitar case and pulled out a dark-green cloak and cowl that he keeps in there for when he needs to become inconspicuous. He quickly slips it on and ties it. It covers his obvious purple-hair as well.
He gently strolls out into the crowd, appearing as if he were looking for the mystery musician as well.
He walks up to Yuki and Andy.
"Yuki. Andy. I've found some evil human souls. Follow me, while I can track them, but act casual. Luna, be ready to turn into your weapon form as soon as grab your hand."
He whispers quickly and softly to them as slowly walks by without turning his head, making it appear as if he didn't even notice them.
He walks off in the direction of the evil souls, expecting the others to follow.

SWINGING DOWN THIS SCYTHE.....

Akumu grins as Yuki turns into her scythe form. He holds her in his right hand and across his shoulder.
The men take a step back as Yuki turns into a scythe, but they compose themselves quickly.
"What the hell! She's some kind of demon or something. Oh well, there is only him with a weapon, and there are three of us. We can take him."
One of the men who has done all the talking says. He must be the leader of them. Or maybe he just has more guts than the rest of them.
"Jimmy! Get him!"
The man calls to one of his cohorts. The man who must be Jimmy grins and pulls out a switchblade. He pops it open and starts walking toward Akumu.
"Come on you little punk! I'm going to gut ya, and take your little girl for myself."
He says disgustingly as he charges at them.
Akumu was taking all of the thugs' words calmly, until he mentioned Yuki. At this Akumu's temper flared. No one speaks of her like that.
He grips Yuki's handle in both hands as the thug charges him. The man had no technique. Easy.
Akumu makes a quick downward-diagonal-left slash at the man, severing his knife-holding right hand from his arm.
The man staggers backward momentarily staring in horror at his missing right hand, which lie on the ground in front of him. The wound gushes blood. He stares for a moment longer before letting out a shriek of pain.
Akumu glares at the man.
"No one... Speaks... Like that... About, Luna..."
He says coldly to the man, who stares in horror at him.
Akumu glares at him some more, before slicing back horizontally across to the right. The strike completely decapitates the man.
His head rolls nearby on the ground. The man's body falls over as a foutain of blood erupts from the wound and a floating soul appears from the body.
At the swift and cold slaughter of their comrade the other two men begin backing away carefully. A look of pure terror present on their faces.
"Not so tough now. Are you? Whose the little punks now?!"
Akumu says to them as he lifts his head up. An expression of twisted pleasure plastered on his face.
"What's wrong? I thought no one messed with the mafia? What happened to that? What? After a simple decapitation, you all become afraid? That's pathetic. I guess I will just have to kill you then."
He says evilly to them.
The men then panic and begin running away from him.
"Don't run! Face me like real men you cowards! I will cut you down from behind, like the weaklings you are!"
He yells angrily at them as he rushes toward them. He catches the other man whose hasn't said anything yet.
Akumu grins evilly as the man turns in his head in terror at him.
Akumu makes a quick slice downward and severs the man into two halves. The parts fall to the ground in a spray of blood as another soul appears.
Akumu quickly turns to the other man. The one who had done most of the talking. Akumu grins and sprints after him.
A swift low left-sweeping strike removes the man's legs from the thighs down.
The man falls forward onto his face, blood squirting from the missing limbs quickly as Akumu stands over him. The wicked grin still present.
"Now answer our questions, and I will end you quickly. Refuse though, and I will begin removing fingers one by one."
He says wickedly to the crippled man.
"Andy come here and ask the man your questions. If he tries anything I will start removing more limbs."
He calls out sinisterly to Andy in the trees.
