Kamiss grumbled in his dark room, brooding. But he realized he was acting foolishly. She just wants to meet you. If she knew she wouldn't. Knew what? If she knew you don't know. What don't I know? You don't know whats happening to you. Kamiss sat on his bed for a while longer, then came to a decision. If she so wants to meet me, she will. If I kill her... well, she wanted to meet me... Kamiss stood, and walked out of the house without a word for the third time that day.

After rearranging her items in her new pack, and making sure nothing was missing, Arinoa headed off in search of a place to camp. This would be her first night on her own, and she wanted to get a good night's sleep.

Kamiss soon found the girl, but now eh was once again uncertain. He had lost his head several times and woken up to see bloody bodies of orcs, goblins and ogres laying around him, and he was afraid he might kills more than 'war fodder' soon...

A whispered call to the winds brought a hawk to her side, who nodded in response to her strange chirping. Not long after her took wing, he returned, and tolf her of a bear den in which she might spend the night. Arinoa thanked the hawk, a brave Red-Tail, and trodded on in the direction he had indicated.

Kamiss stopped as a red-tail flew over his head. He smiled, somehow knowng it was leaving the girl. "Funny how that works." He muttered. "Ironic how a 'bird' would spy on me, only to have another bird rat her out." He started running.

After a short talk with the sleepy bears inside, Arinoa curled up just past the opening of the den, light brown fur rippling in the light breeze. No sleep for her just yet though. She started thinking about the young man, curious still. She wondered what he had done to the goblins, but wasn't sure she wanted to know. She watched the leaves twirl through the dusk in front of her.

Kamiss stepped out of the shadows of a tree and walked before Arinoa. "You wanted to meet me?" He asked somewhat sarcastically.

Arinoa huffed in surprise, and it came out as a snort. She shifted back to human and stepped out to meet the young man.
"I was curious. One usually is when she hears screams coming a goblin lair. Something wrong with that?"
She spoke rather curtly, not happy with being taken by surprise.

Kamiss grinned, but only for a split second, then it was replaced by a frown. "Why were you there at the goblin lair that day anyways?"

She shrugged, thinking.
"First of all, it was only earlier today. Wake up, boy. And seondly, i'm not sure. I'm heading north, and this is just a stop on my way."

Kamiss nodded. "My name is Kamiss. Now you've met me." he started shrinking back into the shadows. "Don't ever come back to my hosue again. I generally don't have control of my body..." And he was gone.

Eyes wide, Arinoa stared off afetr him, confused. Finally, she shrugged and returned to the cave, soon filling the air with great bear snores.

Kamiss shrugged as he shadow-walked, a practice mostly used by necromancers and dark mages. He moved from shadow to shadow unseen, using the darkness as a cloak. She wanted to meet me. He thought, then shrugged.

(I make so many spelling errors...) One might ask if bears dream. Should they ask Arinoa, she would tell them that, of course, every living thing can dream. And one bear, she herself, dresmt that night of a shadowy figure, gruff, but somehow bright. She knew, somehow, he would be important on her quest, but with her mortal sight, she could not see how. When she rolled into the waking day, bear eyes bleary with sunlight, she did not remember much about her dream. But she shook herself awake, back into a human, and started down the path again, alert and waiting.

Kamiss woke from his vantage point, high in a tree. He stretched, yawning, and black lightning flew from his fingers and singed a nearby tree. "Damn." He muttered. Kamiss continued stretching, and a black fire appeared over his palm, but he prevented it from moving. He closed his hands on it, extinquishing it with magic, but it didn't go out. The flame bit he palm and he swore again under his breath. He rose, the branch underneath him wide enough to support his footsteps as he moved out along the branch. Kamiss drew his longswords silently and leapt from the tree, inserting one into the neck and the other into the chest of the orc. Kamiss twisted his swords and yanked them free, effectively destroying the beast. He didn't bother to wipe them on the dead creature, for there was much blooding to follow.
