◆☽◆ Mademoiselle Silencieux ◆☾◆

Well, he did certainly seem pleasant enough. Silencieux gave a slight nod of her head in response to the man’s bow, a slight smile still spread across her lips. She took note of the other ringmaster’s walking stick, though not making it obvious that she took a glance at it. She had noticed that he used the same walking aid during Stelle’s performances, and her curiosity couldn’t help but question just what sort of disability such a young man would have that would require its need. “Oh, no thanks are necessary, Mister Icarus.” She waved her hand in a slightly dismissive manner. “Life becomes dreadfully hectic if all you’re worried about is how you are planning on outdoing your neighbor, after all.” It was true, though. A moment of peace and lack of competition would probably be good for both parties, despite the scheming that lay behind one side.
Silencieux gave a bit of a laugh at the other troupe’s impatience. Not one of her fake, I have something behind my back laughs either, but a genuine little chuckle. “Well, sir, if they are anything like my troupe members, they simply cannot wait to stir up some mischief.” It wasn’t as if Sil didn’t trust her troupe members, either. There were a few of them she would probably trust with her life. No, it wasn’t a matter of trust really; it was simply a matter of knowing them better. Sil had long ago accepted the fact that she hired a group of very impish individuals. Of course there were still moments here and there that caused the poor shape shifter to go for her migraine medication, but she was learning to tolerate some of their actions. It reminded her of some of the old days, really. Maybe she was just trying desperately to cling to the past.
One of her long black ears perked up slightly at the sound of the magician’s voice. Well, if there was one Noire member that Sil knew that she could trust, it was Ace. More than likely, he was probably the only one ready so far. Though she couldn’t say too much, seeing as she wasn’t ready herself. She gave a slight nod to herself in acknowledgement to Ace’s announcement. “Thank you, Ace. Just make sure everything else is-.” The woman was cut off by Ace’s departure, and she couldn’t help but let her ears twitch slightly in annoyance. “…ready.” She sighed out.
What had him in such a hurry? Silencieux tried her hardest not to have a bit of a puzzled, and slightly confused look adorn her expression, though it did seem that she failed. Soon though, she dismissed the worry with a slight shake of her head, turning her attention back to the fellow ringmaster in her company. However, the concerned expression quickly returned to the poor woman’s face as, like Icarus, she heard the disturbing sound in the distance. Perhaps it was just a mishap with Alexander’s fireworks. Sil almost prayed it was a mishap with the fireworks. When she caught glance of Veli though, she knew that simply wasn’t the case. The chimera was only there for a split second, long enough to signal to his mistress that something was amiss.
Sil pulled back the corner of her mouth, unsure what to do in the situation. She couldn’t just leave so suddenly. That would make her appear to be rude in front of Ringmaster Icarus, but she couldn’t help but fear that if she didn’t handle whatever was going on, that it would only escalate. “Well, sir, it could just be a slight accident in the show’s preparation.” She responded, trying to make herself still appear to be as calm and collected as ever, despite the slight panic that was building up. “However, I should probably go check on it.” The shape shifter stood. “I’m very sorry. You’re welcomed to join me if you would like. I can show you around the grounds before the show begins.” She offered. Granted, this tour did not include the chimeras’ stables, but Silencieux did not feel the need to mention that.

Ace Ladarius “Tch.” From the sound of that explosion, everyone in Noire’s grounds would’ve heard it. I’ve underestimated this one, Ace thought, realizing that not just one, but there’re two people who are more than just curious guests. Grateful for Alexander’s comment from earlier, Ace has no doubt that these two are magicians, and from the evidence of the rumbling floor and explosion, both are well verse in offensive spells. Ace can’t tell from whether they’re knowledgeable in the defensive or supportive area of magic, but that’s something Ace know that he himself have mastered in his community prior leaving on a journey.
Making use of haste he had placed on himself earlier, Ace spreads out his arms to cast a couple more spells on himself. Within seconds, Ace’s body starts to get covered up in multiple layers of light blue and green lights, layers of shields that are created to lessen both physical and magical attacks by more than half of its original damage. If any shields were to made contact, or to get broken, it will cause the caster to become more tired. And with that, Ace ran through the barn’s door with hands covered in a darker blue light, ready to face the person who had stopped the knife. Offensive magic isn’t Ace’s specialty, and since there most likely chunks and pieces of earth/rocks lying around inside, Ace could make use of those to throw at the person.
Once inside, Ace easily spotted the pieces of earth lying about (since it’s all over the place) and quickly connected them with blue string of light from both his hands. Ace’s back is faced toward the wall after making a quick note of Luciano, making sure that he’s not exposing himself to the man that's keeping Alex busy on the other side of the room. Changing his gaze to focus back to where Mel supposed to be, Ace’s eyes widen in surprise that he saw no one is standing there. No. Someone is standing there. The spell Ace had placed around Noire indicates so, and the explosion was caused by a spell coming from that one direction as well. Invisibility! Having lost a second from that revelation, Ace quickly made a wall in front of him for any incoming attacks from Mel. Aure Rousseau and Steed “Eh…?” Steed looks at Aure and compares her with Iris. What Iris said is true, both are quite fragile. Then again, Aure’s the more fragile one between the two girls (simply because she’s still seven and has much time to grow). “Well, I guess you’re right about that…” Upon hearing Steed’s agreement, Aure starts to blush harder. Aure? Like Iris? That’s not something she would have thought of. She always spent her time thinking about their differences rather than their similarities.
“No way! It’s really THAT far?” Steed asked as he looked at Iris, dumbfounded. The two of them were clueless. They never knew how far away Cirque du Noire was. Steed’s and Aure’s job in Cirque Nelle Stelle was to hand out flyers around town to gain more customers, and they have past by many sorts of public transportation. They never knew that there will be a time where they’ll need the information of the transportation's destinations and times. His voice starts to shake, “Aemilio left about 10 minutes ago… And we don’t know where the buses go.” He starts to hold his head with both hands while Aure looked worried. “Ahh!!! I can’t believe this! The day’s ruined already!”
“Ringmaster Icarus is all the way down there, and we’re- Wait…” Steed looked back at Iris. “Neh-neh~” Walking around Aure, Steed went to Iris’ other side. “Do you know where Cirque du Noire is?” Iris being more of an adult of the three, and neither of them knew whether Mrs. Puppett is around (not like she’s favored) Iris should have some money for transportation. They just have to ask around town on how to get there, and with the other circus holding a show, someone’s bound to have knowledge of it (that is unless they haven’t already left town for the show).

TL;DR provided at the bottom
Luciano sighed, jumping back lithely, floating slightly, out of range of the rapier. He frowned at his blades. Obviously, he hadn't charged them nearly as much as he needed to: they didn't electrocute as he intended. He cast a glance behind him. Another figure had run in and was building a defensive wall around himself (another magician, then), his opponent was blabbering about something or other, and he began growing irritated once more.
We have to get out of here. More will come.
I could take them all.
Braggart. I don't want to see that happen. A soft whump sounded from the corner Meldellevo had been standing. Luciano felt something bump softly into his back and realised that Mel had levitated to float back-to-back with him, silently urging him to drop it and leave.
For your sake, then.
Luciano raised his dagger, this time sending a large current through the blade. It danced with blue sparks, the metal almost glowing with the pulsing energy. He rotated himself slightly, leaning forward, his feet planted against Meldellevo. Crouch with me.
Obediently, Meldellevo's invisible form hunkered down, the soles of his immaculate shoes quickly finding the bottom of Luciano's feet.
Meet me by the big tent.
I'll be there as a cat.
Meldellevo focused more energy on his spell, the one intended to break through the wall and knock out the new arrival - or at least bewilder him for a long enough time to make a clean escape - and cocked his arm back. He pursed his lips, concentrating on the minutiae of movement from Luciano, the wind-up, the tightening of the muscles, the swing of lifting feet -
Luciano's feet slammed hard into his with a bang, propelling the two towards the opposite ends of the stables. The chimera began clamouring once more, stressed beyond comprehension by the proceedings, but there was nothing to be done for it, and Meldellevo silently prayed that they would see better days.
Meldellevo brought his arm forward, crashing the spell into the earthen wall with deadly speed. The wall was blasted apart, crumbling and slowing his momentum slightly as he hurtled through the debris, using his arm to shield his own vulnerable areas. He released and fired the spell as he sailed up and over the other magician. The spell had lost some power now, but it should still be enough to knock the other onto the ground for a moment or two, even given the defensive shields.
Mel rolled as he met the ground, scrambling up again as soon as he could. He kicked his long legs out behind him just for good measure and felt it connect, although with what, he couldn't be bothered to confirm with a look, and ran through the doorway. He leapt up and levitated to the roof of the normal animal barns, sliding slowly down the other side before dropping softly onto the ground. Silently, Mel made his way to the tent city, making sure he was well-hidden before releasing the invisibility, pausing a moment to brush off stray strands of hay and magick away the dirt. He patted his hair down and continued to the big tent.
Meanwhile, Luciano, after pushing off of Meldellevo, raised his blades, the rapier's point sparking and aimed straight for the head of the fortune teller. As the rapier blade went jabbing forward, it was, as expected, blocked by his opponent, but quick as a flash, Luciano raised his charged dagger to the metal of the rapier.
Angry blue streams of sparks ran from the dagger to his rapier to his opponent's blade to the fortune teller. Silently and metaphorically patting himself on the back for remembering to wear his gloves and thus insulating himself against the charge, Luciano jumped back as the electricity coursed through the body of the the other blonde. Behind him, he could hear the crashing boom of Meldellevo blasting past the earth wall, and used the moment to close his eyes and reach telepathically into the minds of the two intruders.
Couldn't you brats just have stayed out of my way? he groused into their minds. Sighing, he reached into their memories, tampering with the neurons. He toyed with the idea of making them remember coming into the stable to screw one another in an extremely explosive manner, but a niggling voice (not surprisingly, like Meldellevo's) urged him against it. And it would take time. No doubt others were coming to check out what the noise had been about. Just erasing their memories would do for now. There. Now all you have of the past few minutes is static. Asshats. Don't mess with me again.
He opened his eyes and skipped onto the table, using it as a platform to launch himself to the window. Squeezing through the frame, he grabbed hold of the roof and hauled himself onto it. He hurried along the side and crouched, sensing with his mind that Meldellevo had just leapt onto the barn roof a little ways away.
Satisfied that his host was safe, he closed his eyes once more, concentrating on reconfiguring his body into that of a sleek short-haired cat. When he opened his eyes again, he was seeing with a sharpness far beyond that of a human's, and the stench from the stable below him became almost unbearable. Hissing, he threw himself off the roof onto the ground below and streaked around the building, making his way to the big tent.
He arrived at the show tent just before Meldellevo, and he ran up to his host, rubbing against his pants leg, purring contentedly. Meldellevo knelt, rubbing his ears.
"Well, that could've gone better," he said with a dry laugh.
Luciano only meowed and leaped onto his shoulder, transforming into a smaller, fluffier cat. He curled up, yawned, and went to sleep on Mel's shoulder.
((OOC: Sorry 'twas long. Now we can see what everyone else is up to!)) TL;DR Meldellevo blasted through the wall and hit Ace with a weak spell to knock him back. He escapes and goes to the big tent to meet up with Luciano. Luciano electrocutes Alex, and then makes Alex's and Ace's memories of the encounter all static-y. He escapes through the window, transforms into a cat, and hauls a**.

Alex frowned. In terms of 'points', Alex was losing having more hits on him as the other pale man didn't even have a scratch on him despite his efforts. Though, of course, the other man had plenty of 'fouls' in the match. Again a frontal approach. And again Alex simply flicked his wrist to push the blade away from his head with his own. And yet again, that pesky little dagger comes along. Raising his arm to at least protect his body, what happened next, Alex was not expecting. He was shocked. Literally. Those little magical blue sparks weren't all just for show after all. A jolt and bolt of pure energy jumped from the charged dagger down his entirely metallic blade. "Ah!" Alex yelped as his hand spasmed, dropping his weapon. His entire right arm was temporary paralyzed, leaving him open for another attack. But luckily for the drunk, his opponent quickly fled with whatever invisible force busted through the brick walls like a beast.
Holding his other arm, which continued to occasionally twitch before recovering after a short period of time, Alex took a few steps back as his eyes widened. He felt as though his uttermost privacy had been invaded and essentially raped as he heard the other man's voice within his head. Absolutely the strangest sensation for the man used to whoring himself out. As he slowly retreated, he stumbled and fell on his bottom, still staring off to where the mysterious man disappeared through the window. For a man with something hardly called sanity and balance, the mental violation could only be horrifying.
The very next instant, he completely forgot why he was on the verge of hyper ventilating. Alexander's eyes flicked back and forth, up and down, and all around, trying to figure out just what happened... And why was there a rapier randomly on the ground? Crawling on his hands and knees, Alexander reached for the blade and held it in his hand. It felt familiar. Or perhaps were those just lost memories of a fairy tale life? Sitting, he hugged his knees gently, the rapier still in his hand, his eyes still darting around the room even as they jumped occasionally to the only other person in the room. The noise... The noise... So loud. All the voices bounced within his head and further confused the man. "Mmmm..." Alexander began to hum a single monotone note, trying to drown out all the noise. His humming reached a few notes higher as his anxiety began to become more clearer as his body began to rock little by little, back and forth. Fuzzy. Blank. Unclear. Uncertain. The man with a thousand eyes and a thousand lies couldn't move his tongue and continued to hum and rock his body, doing his best to ignore the outside world, his own inner sanctum even strange to him. With his still wide eyes, he finally settled on the other man, Ace. The last trickles of alcohol were leaving him and sporadic flashes of thoughts and images came as Alexander couldn't concentrate on blocking both his abilities at the moment. He had hoped that the man he called his friend would know what had happened, but a fleeting sentence answered his own question. Ace was confused, but a lot less than Alexander. Which gave him some pathetic amount of hope, especially when he knew Ace at least had some experience with Alexander acting at times much stranger than normal.
But he still needed to escape. He couldn't handle the chimeras when sober, and Alexander couldn't describe what exactly state he was in. Fluidity, also moving from this and that. Getting up, shaking, he made his way to the door where he only stopped once he was a good distance away from the building and still far off from the main tents. His head hurt so bad. His hands were covered his cuts. Stilling humming, he laid down on his side, his body somewhat curved, watching the small insects in the grass and the gleam of the rapier in the open sunlight. So loud.. So loud... The noise.
[[Oh God... Alex might be neurotic.. This is bad. XD]] [[And just a quick explanation of his future seeing. He concentrates it to focus on one person or event.]] [[But if not, then it's just random moments in the time space continuum of anything and anyone, which he usually ignores as well.]] [[Which makes him kinda doubt which are exactly 'his' memories as compared to someone else's future or past just random zooming in his head. XD]]

--`ladies & gentlemen ✫ boys & girls ~~ THE SHOW // has just begun▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬★▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ xxxxx`p r e s e n t i n g... Ringmaster Icarus σƒ Circo ηelle Stelle ❝ if the stars fell out of the sky` --&& my tears fell into the ocean ❞
The female ringmaster chuckled at Icarus' comment regarding his troupe's impatience, and the small smile on the man's face couldn't help but grow a bit wider. On some level, it seemed as if the two of them truly could sympathise with each other. Then again, on another level, the cynical part of his brain intoned, I highly doubt Cirque du Noire is home to pyromani- no, arsonist, possibly kleptomaniac twins with severe dependency syndromes and a psychotic, homicidal tarot card reader.
In the following sequence of events, Silencieux obviously heard the sound as clearly as he did, and seemed to be even more concerned, considering this was her circus after all. Icarus noticed a flicker of motion out of the corner of his eye, but wasn't fast enough and by the time he had turned in its direction, he had missed it and it was gone. Whatever it was, it seemed to worry the other ringmaster even more.
Returning his focus to Silencieux, Icarus nodded, his smile suddenly losing much of its grace or humor. "I fully understand, this is most likely a matter that needs to be attended to at once," he replied promptly. No matter whether it was an accident or not, it was better to be safe than sorry, and he certainly did not think that something like an explosion warranted anything less than the ringmaster's immediate attention. They certainly did not want a repeat of Stelle's little tent mishap, or perhaps something of an even larger magnitude. While they were a rival, Icarus certainly would never wish that sort of calamity upon the Noire.
However, his expression soon reverted to his original courteous smile. "However, if it isn't too much trouble, would it be alright if I accompanied you as well? If the accident isn't too concerning, then I would like to take up your offer on that tour after we investigate into this incident." Hidden under the good-natured smile and perfectly reasonable request were underlying fears and concerns. For heavens' sakes, please don't let any of my troupe be involved in this mess, he mentally prayed.
Moving carefully to the exit of the tent, Icarus lifted the flap with the intention of letting the lady exit first in a polite gesture, but as he casually glanced out, a rather unexpected sight greeted him. "Madame Silencieux, does there happen to be a wooden shack or cabin of some sort with a chimney on the circus grounds?" he asked tentatively. Looking over at the far side of the troupe's residential tents, there seemed to be a sort of wooden structure, and smoke was rising out of it. Despite his question, Icarus was beginning to feel a sense of dread and foreboding. The smoke wasn't coming from a chimney, wasn't it? Please let it be a chimney...

Meldellevo started, almost jerking Luciano right off of his shoulder, as he heard the tent flap flutter open. He straightened quickly, peering at the entrance to the tent, and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that is was only Icarus. Behind him, he could see the shadowy figure of a woman.
Drawing a large breath, Meldellevo quieted and calmed himself, fixing his face into an appropriate expression of confusion, concern, and relief. It felt so strange, acting calm in the aftermath of the heated battle and escape just moments before, but to draw suspicion to himself would be silly. No one had seen him, no one knew his name. He quickly composed an alibi for himself in case Icarus asked: he had gotten here, talked to the fortune teller, and then went in search for a washroom. He hadn't been able to find any, was a little desperate, and walked off to some secluded bushes. He had just finished and had arrived back at the big tent when the explosion happened.
He nodded to his Ringmaster and stepped forward to greet him. "Ringmaster Icarus," he said, bowing slightly. "It's good to see that you've arrived. You heard the racket, I presume? Do you have any idea what it was?"

Waiting for the first attack from the invisible person, Ace heard a sound of electric spark coming from the other side of the room. Alex? Ace thought. The illusionist could only assume that his partner had picked up the sparkler from before, but that doesn’t explain the new position of his invisible foe (now standing next to his/her comrade). Knowing that the battle wouldn’t be in their favor if Ace doesn’t act quickly, Ace start running toward the three with the earth wall still in front of him, and readying a fire spell with his right hand.
The collide was as expected. The invisible enemy had broke through his earth wall, and Ace was about to fire his own attack until he caught a glimpse of his friend getting electrocuted by the other blonde man. Lowering his own guard by the surprise/shock of Alex being wounded, Ace didn’t notice the spell casted by the invisible opponent who is now aiming at his blind spot. It hit him in the back at a slight angle, and because the spell had been weakened, Ace manages to hop across the floor instead of straight out flying. The force was still strong enough for him to crash into one of the cleaning supply cabinets though, and the furniture fell over which then creates a huge dent into the already fragile wall.
Though most of the damage received on his body wasn’t as serious as it originally intended by the enemy, the multiple layers of defenses having absorbed the blow are costing him quite a bit of energy. Slightly dazed, the magician accidentally let the fire spell he intended for the enemy to go loose. That small fireball flew upward and it went right through the building’s rooftop. Couldn’t you brats just have stayed out of my way? asked by somewhat recognizable voice. Trespassers. Ace argues back inside his head, trying to fight through the physical pain.
The quick footsteps of the invisible man was heard and it's starting to fade away as it heads toward the exit door. Before the illusionist makes a step to chase after that person, Ace falls down onto one knee as his mind starts to become incomprehensible. Unable to withstand the loud noises and quick flashes of images inside his head, Ace held his head with both hands, trying to make out what was going on. There. Now all you have of the past few minutes is static. Asshats. Don’t mess with me again.
After settling down and regaining his mind, Ace blinked a couple times realizing that he’s staring at an uneven floor just below him. Where…? Looking up, the first thing he noticed was the chimeras. Some were whimpering, while others walks around restlessly, disturbed. A few of them are barking as if it’s trying to tell him something important. Ace stared at the slight gaping hole on the floor that is in the middle of the room as he stood up. There were also chunks of rocks lying about. The floor’s in horrible shape. Was there an explosion just now? Ace wondered.
Don’t mess with me again. An unknown man’s voice plays over and over inside his head. Ace frowned. Just who…? "Mmmm..." Upon laying an eye on his friend (who is now humming to himself), a quick and fleeting flashback of two blurry figures appeared in his head. What was that- Another flashback, but it is of small intangible bright light this time. The tarot card reader increases his humming. “Alexander…?” Ace asks, trying to get some answer, something, anything to make out what just happened. Now, there's a loud sound of some explosion ringing inside his head, giving him a slight headache.
A few pieces of the charred rooftop hits Ace’s out-retch hand as he was about to call out to Alexander when he left the room. Bending his head upward, Ace could see a small hole in the ceiling that's now partially burning in fire. Ace eyes widen as more of the blue sky starts to reveal itself, the roof cracking into pieces. Ace quickly turn around toward the grinding sound that was coming from behind. The dented wall. It too looks about to collapse in any second. One of the metal frames of the building hits the floor, barely missing him. s**t! Ace jumps to a side to dodge another large piece of the rooftop which manages to break the nearby wooden crates into pieces. In the miss of it all, Ace starts panicking. What happened? Why am I here? Who did this? Inside their cages and the barn’s falling apart, the chimeras’ voices rise in volume. OH NOES! The chimeras! There isn’t enough time for the magician to bring all of them outside the barn.
Thinking the next best thing to do, and probably the only thing he can do in cases of such emergency, Ace quickly lay both of his hands flat onto the floor. Multiple strings of blue light ran across the entire area of the room, reaching out and connecting to every single cages and chimeras within it. As the lights start to form a half sphere around all the cages, the whole barn collapses.TL;DRThe barn's wall and ceiling conveniently gets damaged again, but by Ace this time (who got knocked to a side by Mel). Ace tries to make sense of what's going around him and inside his head after Luciano messes with his head. Alex leaves the room while Ace realizes that bits and pieces of the barn is falling apart. Ace creates a barrier to protect the chimeras who are still stuck inside their cages. The barn collapses on top of all of those who are currently inside. (( Lol... Time for Sil to go omgwtf. ))

◆☽◆ Mademoiselle Silencieux ◆☾◆
A million of bad situations were running through the poor shape shifter’s mind as she made her way to the exit of the tent. She soon stopped however, giving Icarus a very, very puzzled look. Cabin with a chimney? What could he have possibly been talking about? The woman looked out the flap of the tent, her expression dropped and if she hadn’t already been wearing white make up her face would have been bed sheet pale. Her blood ran cold with the thought of what had just happened. That was the chimera’s stables, and it was falling apart. It was one of the more secure structures on the ground, and right now it looked to be in shambles. Sil could only imagine what would happen if the chimeras were to get loose and run amuck where ever they pleased. She tried desperately not to let the panic show in her face as she quickly sprinted out the door. “I’m so very sorry, Mister Icarus! It’ll be just a moment!”
This couldn’t have been happening. Sil would have rather been facing one of her nightmares than having to deal with this. The very demolished building crumpled much like a metaphor for her plans. If she lost the chimeras, then she would have to take the months needed to gather the number of them up again and get them prepared. The shows would have to be canceled, and years of planning would easily go down the drain. And Great Spirit forbid if there were people in there! Who knows how much it would cost her and her circus if they were liable for someone’s injuries…or life. With the thought, Sil just moved faster.
The woman quickly skidded to a stop however, noticing a blonde bundle of a person on the ground. Was Alexander back there? Everyone else was probably preparing for the show, so he might have been the only one back here. Sil didn’t think that he could cause something like that, though, even with the materials he was probably working with. She kneeled down by the man, putting her hand to his shoulder and shaking it roughly. “Alexander! Alexander what happened!?” She questioned in a rather loud tone, the frantic panic lacing her voice thickly.
Sil looked back up to the wreckage, unsure what to do. She needed to go check the ruined building and gather up whatever chimeras were left unharmed. She grasped the amulet that hung low around her neck, mumbling a few memorized words to begin to activate the magic locked away in it. She had never had a situation where she had to control that many of the creatures at once, but she probably had no other choice in the matter. It would take a lot out of her, but it was better than everything being completely ruined.
Clenching the amulet tightly in her fist, she looked back to Alexander with the hope of some sort of explanation.

Ringmaster Icarus σƒ Circo ηelle Stelle ❝ if the stars fell out of the sky` --&& my tears flowed into the ocean ❞ As Silencieux rushed off to attend to the crumbling shack, the look on Icarus' face was one of horror and disbelief as said structure seemed to utterly collapse with a resounding thud. Whatever 'accident' had occurred in the place, it had obviously been big, and rather destructive too. Running a hand through his hair and cringing, partially out of pity for Noire and also out of fear that one of his own would be involved in this incident, the brunette ringmaster stepped out of the tent to get a better view of the disaster scene.
"Well, I believe you have your answer right there, Meldevello," he sighed, turning towards the illusionist. "However, as to the cause of this collapse, Madame Silencieux is heading to investigate exactly that, as you saw for yourself."
Meldevello seemed rather calm- as he always was during a crisis, thank the stars for that- in the face of the circumstances, but also looked a bit startled, perhaps concerned, which was completely understandable. It wasn't every day that your pleasant visit to the circus was interrupted by large exploding noises. The illusionist had always been one of the more sensible, mature members of Stelle's troupe, so even if he had not proven an alibi by showing up here while the shack collapsed, Icarus could trust him not to raise any problems. Some other members of Stelle, on the other hand... It wasn't that Icarus didn't trust his own cast, but what with the known destructive tendencies of several performers, along with the timing of the explosion, he couldn't help but feel suspicious.
"Have you any idea what might have happened? The place of the accident seems quite far into the Noire camp, do you think any of ours could have wandered so deep in?" He murmured, frowning in concern. "In any case, I think it might be a good idea to go and aid the Madame. I'm rather curious to find out what could have caused that place to collapse."
Glancing briefly at his prosthetic leg, Icarus' frown deepened for a moment. Crutches were much more convenient for faster motion, albeit not as fast as actual running, but it would take quite a while to get from the main tent to the shack limping around with a cane and a fake leg. It would be rather hard to limp quickly without dislocated the prosthetic. "Meldevello, he asked, "Would you mind aiding me a bit in getting to the location of the incident? I would probably get there faster with your help." It was unorthodox, and probably a bit awkward to make such a request, but it really wasn't as if Icarus had much of a choice as to the state of his limbs. It would have been much better, had he brought crutches, but, alas, who could have foreseen this happening? He was a ringmaster, not a fortune teller!

At some point, Alex's hands were over his ears, poorly protecting him from any outside noises. Even as the barn collapsed, he could barely comprehend the fact that Ace was still inside. All he wanted to hear was the odd and soft rustling of his wrist bones and muscles ever-twitching creating the oddest sound. His eyes watched the building burn down and the sudden rush of a blue light radiating outward. His eyes watched the ringmaster of Nelle limp alongside with the odd Monsieur and his changing cat-rat-thing. His eyes watched the crowd of families and couples merrily laugh as they filled the large tent, the night already fallen and the tent's meager lighting casting odd shadows on the Ringmaster's face, but even stranger ones on the audience. The setting flashed between here, then, and perhaps to come. Small snatches of dialogue. Alexander! Alexander what happened?! Do not panic! Aemillio, call the fire department! I am Mademoiselle Silencieux, and I would like to extend a warm greeting to you all on behalf of the Cirque du Noire! A cycle. A quick shuffle. The riffle style. The cards flutter. The leaves falling. The fisherman waits as his blind eyes watch his kingdom collapse just as the barn is, has, will. I remember his eyes were made of pearls. I don't believe in fairytales. A crown of flowers and thorns. A green ribbon flies off into the sky and disappears. A dash of a red streak. How selfish. How useless. This emptiness. Strings of incoherent and connected thoughts.
Alexander murmured to his beloved Ringmaster. "Everything." His eyes closed as he withdrew further into himself, into a world that never made any sense.

It was only a few minutes ago that Bee had given Veli the note, but once the Magi Bani turned around to head toward back to where it had separated from its owner, the barn had already collapsed. Shocked by the event and unsure of whether Ace’s still inside the wreckage or not, Bee tries to get as many people’s attention as it could while flying through/across the circus. After a couple minutes of yelling “mwees” like a fire alarm, the only reactions Bee got were either a bunch of adorations or a bunch of irritated replies. Frustrated, Bee flew right over the man of tan skin to get to the chimera cages, whom he supposed to keep an eye on.
Upon arrival, all it could see was piles upon piles of wood and metal frames of what’s left of the barn. Bee peeks through the few gaps here and there that had corners of the cage protruding outward. Voices of the chimeras cry out in fear and anger, though none seem to cry in pain. “Mweee!” Bee calls out Ace’s name every time it looks through the cages. No answer. Looking around, a large mist/smoke coming out from the center of the ruins had caught Bee’s eyes. Circling the smoke, Bee tries to peek inside like it did with the cages. All of a sudden, a white gloved hand pops out, nearly hitting Bee. “Nyaaa!!!” After hearing a recognizable muffled voice coming from inside, Bee looks back down again to learn that it was actually Ace struggling to get himself out.
“Mweh!” The little bunny pushes the charred pieces of wood to a side, trying to help Ace get out of the heavy pile. After removing much of the barn materials and burning itself a few times, the head and a part of Ace’s shoulder can be seen. “Mwee! Mwee!” Happy to see that its owner is still breathing, it snuggles up against the magician’s face where there is a bruise shown. “Ohgah!-“ The young man quickly flinches at the slight pain caused by his companion. “…Mweee…?” Confused, Bee moves backward and stepped on something loose. “!!!” Unfortunately, the piece of ply wood just got pushed into a wounded part of Ace’s body, and with that, the illusionist’s face twists in pain. No noise, no nothing. The pain’s too excruciating for Ace to let out a scream, let alone being burnt out from using his previous spell to protect the chimeras.

Meldellevo watched, a look of bemusement upon his face, as the woman raced out into the open, revealing herself to be Madame Silencieux, the Ringmaster of Cirque du Noire. He had never seen her up close before, and he had to admit that she was quite a lovely woman. At the moment, however, a look of horror and panic marred her features, and she ran off with only a quick and sharp utterance. She seemed not to have seen him at all.
Meldellevo winced as the building in the distance collapsed with a loud boom. On his shoulder, Luciano stirred, meowing and rubbing his fluffy face against Meldellevo's.
"Well, I believe you have your answer right there, Meldevello," the Ringmaster said to him. "However, as to the cause of this collapse, Madame Silencieux is heading to investigate exactly that, as you saw for yourself."
Meldellevo looked thoughtfully towards the smoking rubble, a trifle troubled that his inability to disobey Luciano had caused their gracious host such grief. He shook his head quietly and slowly as Icarus asked him about the accident. "Perhaps. I ... don't wish to speak ill of our troupe, sir, but I wouldn't put it past our, to put it daintily, wilder members."
He nodded in agreement as Icarus suggested to go help Noire's Ringmaster. It was the least he could do, considering the cause of the incident. He chuckled when Icarus asked him to help him get to the site of interest, finding it amusing that his Ringmaster was so obviously uncomfortable with asking him. "Of course, sir. It would be my honour. He reached up to cup Luciano in his hands and knelt, transporting the fluffy kitten to the ground. Be something he can ride, would you?
Sure.
Straightening, Meldellevo snapped his fingers. The kitten glowed a soft blue and gave one more meow before it was replaced with a pure white Arabian mustang, its short, snowy hair almost glowing in the last lazy tendrils of light. The horse whinnied, swishing his tail as it lowered its front legs, waiting to be ridden. Mel smiled at his Ringmaster. "You should go in style, Master Icarus."

◆☽◆ Mademoiselle Silencieux ◆☾◆
More and more panic was beginning to set in. Her mind was rushing around itself, making her thoughts confusing and jumbled. More and more she lost sight of just what she needed to do, and as she started to lose a hold on her control and calm, her breathing increased and grew more uneven. Alexander’s answer was not one she was expecting, nor did it help the poor woman any. She let out a whine of confusion and frustration, trying hard to get her thoughts in order.
A small, faint sound caught the Ringmaster’s ears, causing her to look up. The small gray rabbit that was normally seen on the local magician’s shoulder flew overhead, heading towards the destruction of the stable. The little creature was never seen without its master, and at a realization, Silencieux’s expression once again dropped. There had been someone in there, Sil was sure of it. Fear clenched at her gut as even more panicked thoughts crowded her mind. The woman quickly scrambled to her feet, leaving Alex’s side to hurry to whatever remained of the stables. She stumbled to a stop once she got there, climbing over bits of debris to get to the magician. Pulling planks and boards off to the side, her breathing became heavier and more uneven, though it wasn’t from the physical work.
Voices. Voices screaming in the back of her mind. No, not voices. One particular voice. It was hard and condescending. It lashed out at her, striking her as sharply as the whip that struck across her back. You’re useless. Good for nothing. You can’t make anything work. This is all going to fail. It was only getting mixed in with her own crippling thoughts of the same nature. She continued to pull the boards up and away from the magician until he was exposed enough for her to carefully pull him out. By this point, her eyes were red from the tears that streamed down the side of her face, bringing trails of white makeup along with it.
“A-Ace…wh..what happened?” Sil choked out. Her voice were shaky, as were the hands that were still supporting the magician after prying him out as much as she could. Her attention went downwards, hearing the calls of the chimeras that were underneath. They sounded like they were okay, but the woman just couldn’t be certain. Ruined. All of it was ruined. Whatever control that she thought she had was gone.
Her thoughts were mixed in even further with the voices that scolded and patronized. It told her that she couldn’t do anything on her own. That she was just meant to be a tool, and this was just further proof of that. What made her think that she could do anything on her own? Where did she think she had the nerve or competence to actually pull any of this off?

--`ladies & gentlemen ✫ boys & girls ~~ THE SHOW // has just begun▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬★▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ xxxxx`p r e s e n t i n g... Ringmaster Icarus σƒ Circo ηelle Stelle ❝ if the stars fell out of the sky` --&& my tears flowed into the ocean ❞ Despite having born witness to Meldevello's performances many times, Icarus' couldn't help but feel a sense of amazement wash over him as the white kitten that was always found perched on the magician's shoulder suddenly transformed into a stunning white steed. The ringmaster had never quite paid much attention to the feline, simply assuming it to be a pet of Meldevello's, and as it wasn't as if the circus had a rule against keeping pets (Aemillio most definitely would have had an issue with that if it were the case), and the kitten wasn't disruptive in the least, he simply let it be. While he by no means doubted Meldevello's powers, the brunette had never imagined that he was capable of performing this kind of feat.
Stepping closer to the majestic creature, Icarus reached out a hand to pat the horse's mane. It was white, pure white, and it was beautiful. This was the stuff of fairytales, the sort of noble steeds that princes rode on. Mouth half open in a smile of awe and amazement, he led the horse to a nearby crate so that he could mount it. Using the crate as a step or platform, he seated himself upon the steed in a sort of sidesaddle position, despite the lack of sidesaddle, or any saddle, really. "Thank you Meldevello," he sighed, clearly excited. "I've really never ridden a horse before..."
Turning his head to look at the smoke coming from the sight of the fallen shack, Icarus' smile turned grim, and he gave a short nod. "Alright, shall we go, Meldevello?"

Meldellevo smiled and gave a nod. "Of course." With that, he turned and began walking briskly towards the smoke. Behind him, Luciano broke into a gentle trot, keeping up with the illusionist.
They weaved their way through confused patrons and frightened-looking circus employees running around, reassuring the customers and keeping them back. A janitor rushed up to them and held them back before Meldellevo gently reassured him and cast a spell to confound the employees closest to them, making it so that they would ignore him and the horse. He gave a grim sigh. Clearly, those stables were not meant for prying eyes.
When they arrived at the scene, Meldellevo stopped, shocked. When he left, the building had been unstable, sure, but now ... "My goodness, it's in shambles!"
His eyes surveyed the area, taking in the fortune teller, who had a blank expression on his face, and the Ringmaster Silencieux, looking shell-shocked and cradling the blue-haired magician from before. Both parties were obviously in need of assistance. What did you do to them?!
I covered our asses, that's what. Snap your fingers. The reply was irritable, but Meldellevo obeyed. Luciano began glowing, and he lowered himself to the ground, making sure that Icarus would probably be able to balance himself before shrinking into a kitten again, plodding his way towards the fortune teller. The fluffy cat meowed, nuzzling the blonde and putting its paws on his knees, trying to garner a response.
Mel walked over to the Madame and the magician, and wasn't surprised to see that the Ringmaster had been weeping, tears running down her face, making watery streaks through her make-up. He knelt down and put a hand on her shoulder. "Please let me help. Don't strain yourself, madame."
He reached up, wiping her tears away gently with a gloved thumb, and slowly pried her shaking hands away from the magician. He put his arms under the dark-haired man, lifting him out of the rubble and brushing him off. "Can you hear me?" he called.
