Vance tensed slightly, seeing that Hitomi had arrived on the scene. The people around weren't paying attention to them, but you never know when someone can hear a part of your conversation. "Ah, hello." Vance purposely greeted her without using her name, since it was known to most. They didn't know what she looked like, but someone with the same name would cause some suspicion. "Mm... I was wondering if you found what you were looking for. There are a lot of interesting items in the market..." He wanted to know if she had found anything... Concerning the prince of course, not so much the merchandise. At the same time, he picked up an interesting-looking doll, that the vendor was selling. He smiled slightly, noticing that it looked a bit like Hitomi, with the same hairstyle, and a dress.

'But it kills without drawing blood.'

A blonde man walked through the market place in the capitol of Veran. He had been getting odd looks from everyone he walked passed for his massive scar he has on his body. If you looked close enough he also had his eyes closed as he traveled through the busy street. Because of his ability to control the air around him he did not need to reveal his eyes to see his path. He walked passed two people and he opened his eyes to glance towards the man that was standing there. The man he appeared to look at was Vance but he was looking passed him at the stand right behind him. You could now see his red eyes and the air around him calmed a little since he no longer used it to see. He was looking at a particular item. It was a mask that for some reason reminded him of something but he could not place it since he had no memories of the past.

Hitomi glanced around quickly before answering. "I haven't found what I need yet, but there is something else that piqued my interest." She pulled a piece of paper out of her pocket and unfolded it. It was a wanted poster for a thief. The boy showed in the sketch had green hair and eyes. The name read "Sothe," and this "Sothe" was wanted, dead or alive.

"I think I want to recruit this boy. This says that he's stolen from countless guards and even from the castle itself. What does this tell you about him?" She paused a moment to quickly check on the location of the general and executioner. "This boy opposes Annexus. And, if he can get in and out of the castle without getting caught, could be quite useful. Don't you think so?"

Vance took a glance at the piece of paper, noticing how the bounty wasn't all that high. Though the guards must have been pretty annoyed by him, if they wanted him "Dead or Alive". After reading over the wanted poster a second time, he shrugged. "Do what you want. A thief won't be easy to find though. Especially one that can escape the castle." Vance turned his head to look at the castle that towered over all of the other buildings. Getting into the castle was one thing, but escaping was another.

Suddenly the wind picked up, blowing open books and scattering loose pieces of paper. Then the wind suddenly stopped, as quickly as it came. Vance felt that someone was standing behind him, and turned around to see a man with a large scar across his body... And red eyes. 'Could he be someone from the Liberation Army? I don't think I've seen him before though...' Then Vance noticed that the man was looking at a mask displayed at the stall, so he took a step towards Hitomi to let the man get a closer look at it.

'But it kills without drawing blood.'

Zeek noticed that Vance had stepped aside and he took a step closer. He didn't know what it was about the mask that drew his attention to it. When he picked it up he noticed it was heavier then it looked and it was also expensive. He put it back own and turned towards Vance "Thank you" he said and before he could say anything the air around them suddenly stirred. He then turned with his eyes shut once again. Before he vanished into the crowd he turned back to Vance noticing his eye color. "So I'm not the only one with red eyes" he said so only him and the girl could hear since she was in ear shot as well.

"Yes, you are correct that he'll be hard to find. But something tells me he'll be worth the time." This being said, Hitomi noticed the wind and that Vance had turned around. She half turned herself. The boy there was an Eternal Eyes. As he picked up the mask and started walking away, he said something about not being the only one with red eyes. She couldn't help herself.

"There are many like us. You may want to be careful. Annexus is on the lookout for Eternal Eyes. His men will kill you on sight if you give them the chance," Hitomi told him.

Sothe heard a crash behind him and spun around. There were two soldiers stumbling through the alley, both clad in very heavy(and loud) armor. One had fallen and hit the ground. This was obviously the source of the crash. And they were obviously after the notorious thief.

"Damn..." Sothe muttered. How had they found him? Ah, that wasn't important! What's important was that he had to get out of there, and fast! Sothe ran from the alley and into the marketplace, hoping he could blend in with the crowd. Unfortunately, he didn't get far before this person ran into him and sent him crashing to the ground. What's worse was that his grandfather's dagger fell into public sight as well. He scrambled to grab it before anyone else did.
Hitomi watched this boy run out of a nearby alley, followed by a couple of guards. The boy then fell to the ground as he was bumped into, probably because he had been trying to run too fast. Thinking fast, Hitomi picked up a pair of sunglasses and put them on. She had run over to the fallen boy, deciding to act the concerned girl, when she saw his dagger.

That dagger! Looking at the boy, she recognized the thief from the poster. Talk about a coincidence, she thought. Or was it? Was Lotana playing games with them?

Well, either way, the boy needed immediate help. "Get up!" she commanded, picking up his dagger. "Vance, we need to go!" Looking at the thief, she said, "We're going to help you, alright? Just trust us!" As proof that she was trustworthy, she allowed the sunglasses to slide a little, revealing a glimpse of red eyes.

((Heh. Had to make it a little more interesting.))

Zeek looked at the girl "Eternal Eyes" he said like he had no idea what she was talking about. He then saw her rush to the side of a boy who had some guards chasing him and he walked between them. "Get him out of here if the guards are after him he is a friend of mine" he told her and the two guards were getting closer. Using the wind he pushed the two back into the ally and slowly walked in after them to by the others some time.

Vance wondered how the man noticed his red eyes with the contacts in place, but it didn't matter. Suddenly there was a loud crash of what sounded like metal, then a boy appeared, that looked like the thief in the poster. Hitomi helped him up quickly, and they started running. "Right behind you." He followed her lead, escaping the market with the thief. It seemed that the man would take care of the guards, which was nice. What wasn't nice though, was that there were more guards. Thieving happened often at the market... 'Oh wait, didn't Hitomi just take those glasses from that stall... without paying?' Vance shook his head, it wasn't time to think about that. They had to reach their hideout safely first.

Luckily, fully armored guards could only run as fast as turtles. Not to mention how unbalanced they were in those suits of armor. Hitomi and the thief had quite a head-start on running, so he was trailing behind by a bit. It wouldn't be difficult for him to catch up, but he stayed behind to slow down the guards that were chasing Hitomi and the thief. Vance caught up to a guard that was chasing after his leader, and gave him a small shove. Already worn out from the long chase, the push sent the guard sprawling onto the floor. Vance would have loved to watch him get back up, but he just sped up, catching up to Hitomi. "More guards are on their way... Better find someplace to hide."

Sothe was obviously quite shocked when three people came to help him. He was just a thief. Why would anyone be willing to risk their lives to help a thief? Not that he wasn't grateful. If they hadn't decided to help him, he'd either end up dead or rotting in Annexus' dungeon.

Sothe and the girl ran through the market, weaving in and out of people. Surprisingly enough, the people seemed to push themselves together after the small group had passed, as if everyone wanted to help them get away. Which was good.

When the boy caught up and told them more guards were coming, Sothe immediately started thinking. He knew these streets better than anyone. He knew all the good hiding places. Which one was the closest?

Of course! "This way!" Sothe veered into an alley and ran straight to a ladder. He climbed up it, followed by the girl. They were now up on a rooftop and out of view from below. It wasn't long before the guards ran right past the alley.

Zeek who was already on the roof they climbed up to looked at them. "Well we are just running into each other today" he said as he turned his attention to Hitomi. "By the way my name is Zeek" he said introducing himself to her. He then looked at Sothe "What have you done to get on the guards bad side" he asked him calmly. He himself was on the bad side of the guards for several reason he did not know but had the feeling this girl could tell him. He was still curious what the Eternal Eyes were.

Sothe looked over at the man, who asked him what he had done. Had he not seen the wanted posters? They were up all OVER the place. Well, the main places, at least.

"My name is Sothe. I...am a thief. I steal from the guards and Annexus. The guards don't like it, and I'm a wanted criminal because of it. As if they don't let worse crimes go."

Hitomi was staring at the boy's dagger, which was still in her hands.There's no mistake...This must be... "There's more to you than that, isn't there?" she asked him cautiously. How much did the thief know?

Sothe looked at Hitomi in surprise. She had been staring at his grandfather's dagger. How had she known that by simply staring at the dagger? Unless..."You know what that dagger means...don't you...?" he asked.

"That depends. What do you think it means?"

Sothe took a deep breath. Throwing caution to the wind, he said, calmly, "That dagger once belonged to King Cyril. It was given to my father, and then to me. That dagger means that...I'm Cyril's grandson."

"I see...In that case, I do know what it means. I knew what it meant the moment I saw it fall. You are the true heir. It seems Lotana likes to play with people's emotions.

Sothe looked at her quizzically. "What do you mean?"

"It means I was looking for you for two different reasons. I was looking for an heir, and a thief, and I hadn't realized they were the same person. I was looking for you because I want you to join my cause."

Warily, Sothe looked at the girl. Join her cause? Who is this girl? "Who are you?"

"I am Hitomi, leader of the Liberation Army."

Vance followed Hitomi and Sothe the thief up the ladder, which lead to the rooftops. None of the guards seemed to be on the rooftops except for the man from before, so he sat down. "Phew, those guys pop up out of nowhere..." He glanced over the edge of the roof, watching the guards run around, confused. The man finally introduced himself, calling himself Zeek. Vance glanced over at Hitomi, remembering that they were short a person. 'Hm... Wonder what happened to Scott.' The guards below were still searching for them, but they would give up soon enough. They weren't paid enough to put a lot of effort into searching anyways. Then there were also the members of Annexus' army who were nearby as well... Hopefully they just saw it as something that happened on a usual basis, but Zeek had used his power. It was only morning, but a lot had already happened...

He was barely listening into the conversation Hitomi and Sothe were having, but he instantly directed his full attention to it, when heard that Sothe was the heir to the throne. Sure, the dagger belonged to the king that had been assassinated fifty years ago, but since he was a thief, he could have stolen it right? But Vance decided not to say anything, and go with Hitomi's choice.

Zeek looked at Hitomi and Sothe curiously. "So your not an ordinary thief" he asked him. He had not seen the posters everywhere in the city since he traveled with his eyes closed since they drew attention. He then heard Vance talk and he smirked. "Tell me about it" he said and chuckled. he looked down off the roof top and saw members of Annexus' army down in the streets. In the past he would fight any soldier he found. He started to walk away from the group towards the building above the soldiers.

Isabel blushed at the compliment.
"Why thank you..."
She pushed a lock of hair behind her ear, her cheeks still flushed pink.
"Oh well um..I was hoping I could get an escort into town this morning..but uh, I don't know if Annexus would let me...I'm not really suppose to leave the castle..."
She bashfully looked down at her feet, and then up into Gabriel's eyes.
"Maybe you wouldn't mind taking me..?"
She bit her lip with the tiny hope she had of him saying yes.

Gabriel pretended that he was honestly contemplating the offer before he gave a quick shrug of his shoulders "Well if Annexus said that you shoudnt that easily makes it a better reason to go" Gabriel said giving a quick smile " You sure you want to do this.... I mean if Annexus finds out hed be awfully mad at me for sneaking you at when your not suppoused to leave the castle" Gabriel said jokingly know that odds are he wouldnt be caught and even if they did gabriel didnt really care about the trouble he would get in. Gabriel turned to Isabel and laughed " Before we go i just want to know why do you want to goto town" Gabriel said as her reason might spike his curiousity. Gabriel then looked at isabels face as it was still pink as he could still she was embarassed at his comment it was always fun to him to embarass someone even if it wasnt it public where it was just alittle more playful.
