It's like the difference between evocation and invocation. An evocation to 'call forth' - a call to an entity to be present at a particular location. An invocation is to 'call in' - a call to an entity to be physically present inside your body, to make themselves manifest.
'Drawing on' Bear is more like evocation: You are calling on Bear to be there with you, wherever you are.
"Aspecting" Bear is more like invocation: You are opening yourself to Bear, that they can be present inside your body and manifest themselves physically through you.
