"We'd better not risk it, Crimson Tears," she said, relishing the full weight of his name on her tongue. "I'm not so complex - yet. I would rather preserve the pretty terms you have for me, and not spoil your artistry."
Her hooves crushed the grass below them, graceful and purposeful movement away from the pretty backdrop of their encounter. "Goodbye, poet." The rich, low tones of her voice drifted with the wind, teasing his dark bangs back, a lingering caress.
Then, Widow was gone.

He was enchanted by her departure, and more than that, the breeze that struck him, touching Crimson Tears in a way she could not. He closed his eyes, leaning into the wisps and twirls of the passing torrent.
"Farewell, nightfall temptress…"
