I don't entirely agree with their views, but liking System of a Down or any other band for that matter is like having a friend. You may not entirely agree with what your friends do, but you love them just the same. 3nodding

I hate to be so damn strait-forward but, SOAD IS REALLY ******** POLITICAL AND THAT IS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THEM!!! howabout "Why don't presidents fight the war, why do we always send the poor?" or even some of the titles are political right off the bat like "F**k the System" or "P.olitically L.ying U.nholy C.owardly K.illers, PLUCK" or "Stealing Society" and still "Prison Song" and "Boom!", etc.
If you don't like them being political why do you listen to them?

Sure most of their songs tend to be political but that's what they believe in and like to write about. They're music is freakin' awsome and that's all that matters!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus they make a pretty good point.

Relax. Don't get so worked up over nothing. People are having a good time discussing in the thread then you come in thinking your the s**t with all the answers. Sure not every song is political, but they are getting more and more but the album. So shut your trap.

Yeah I respect your opinion and all, but come on they don't have to write what you want to hear. If they have strong political thoughts and want to express them through their musical talents, then so be it. It's only healthy.
That's one of the main things I look for in a good band. Strong opinions and having good skill to put 'em into good music. Strong thoughts and statements. Stuff like that makes me get off my pubescent a** and start thinking about stuff. It's good. It inspires me.

Actually, they sing about a lot more things then just the U.S. Like Hypnotize is about that Tinenman square thing in China, and Deer Dance is about the Armenian genocide. All the band members are Armenian.

i havent heard sugar sweatdrop yet stressed but SOAD can't give it a rest because the government won't, they sing about real life and the truth sometimes the truth hurts but i frankly enjoy not being blind.
