Oh... Oh ! That ! "Crime scene stuff ? I read that book once !" His mother had been grossed out. He had found it utterly fascinating.
Really, put anything in front of Daniel and he'd read it.
"Been awhile through. Father brought it back from the library for me. Ahhh... Father is a lawyer." He went to elaborate, sheepish.

"REALLY you READ IT!?" She said her crimson eyes wide and... delighted. "Have you read 'Criminal Minds, A study in Mass homicide"?" She said her hands almost dancing in the air between them like she were describing the book in some privately known sign language.
"I...I mean if you liked it, I could lend you more..." She said falling back to caution. "I...I have a collection, and the local library has a lot as well, though sometimes they have to use the inter-library exchange!"

"I did, I did !" How odd and... really amazing, how such a little thing seemed to make her so happy. At the other title, trough, he was left to ponder for a few seconds. "I don't think I did..." At least not in english. The title didn't ring a bell to him. "I'd like to, through !"
This was nothing he'd really planned to dedicate his life to, but he found it interesting all the same. Probably because his father was a lawyer ? Hmm.

"I'll bring it with me next time I'm out and about!" She said with a wide smile. "No one has EVER read that, well except I think Devi might have started it but you don't know her..." She said shaking her head almost apologetic.
"The other one, it's more...it has real photos and a study on 'cast off' it's just...amazing." She laughed ducking her head and blushing. "I'm sorry, I've just assumed that you and I will... I mean if you don't mind meeting to exchange things to read... I'd very much like to."

"Devi ?" Indeed. he had never met anyone by that name. Not all that surprising, given that Daniel preferred to keep to himself for the most part.
"I wouldn't mind !" Especially with school done very, very soon, and him most likely not going back to Germany this year. He would have to fill time differently. And he found he quite liked Ume - she was very nice and very, very interesting.
"I could give you my phone number ?" He offered.

She turned her gaze up to him, blinking in surprise before she nodded. "I... I would like that." She said and then fished in her small purse for her phone. "I...could offer one in return?" She offered cautiously.

"Ahh, yes, yes..." He stopped a moment, putting his violin case down carefully, then his hands went for his messenger bag, pulling out his phone, and navigating to the address book with the touch screen, giving out his own number while getting ready to note down her own.

They exchanged numbers, and she, since her newest phone supported such things... took his picture if he was alright with it, if he rang her, it would be his face that appeared on her screen rather than some impersonal number.
"Thank you!" She said as she closed her phone, a small snap as it clicked closed and she double checked her own number to make sure that she had said it correctly. Sometimes... just sometimes she gave out her adopted sister's number because she'd been wondering about her. Satisfied it was correct she brushed a hand at his arm before giving a small curtsy, a neat tuck of her boot against the heel of her other, lifting her skirt demurely and tipping her head.
"When we next meet!" She beamed.

He didn't seem to mind, and let her take his picture - though he looked rather adorably embarrassed on it.
"You call me sometime, yes ? Just, ah, give me a week or so... Finals, you know." He gave a wave, and then went on his way after she had.
There was something special about her... And he couldn't stop thinking about it.
