Magic had never really been a factor in Lydia's life. She'd never dressed up as a witch or a fairy for Halloween, or read Harry Potter. It just wasn't something she was ever interested in, so she never expected to run into it in her life. Then she met a talking cat who gave her a magic pen, and turned her into... what? As the lights faded and the feathers settled, she twirled around, tottering unsteadily on heels higher than her parents had ever let her wear.

What was she?

She still felt like herself. Like Lydia Sfakianos, age fifteen, a girl who loved travel and her dog and was out celebrating her birthday. But she also felt like somebody else entirely. Somebody powerful, able to make a difference in the world. Somebody... magical. She felt both of these things very clearly, but they harmonized rather than conflicting, which confused her even more.

Sailor Irene burst into tears. The day had been so eventful and so strange, she just couldn't hold it in any longer. "What is this? What am I supposed to be?" Wiping her eyes with newly-gloved hands, she tried to glare at the cat, but only managed a reproachful look. "Why did you make me do... whatever that was? What am I supposed to do now?"

Crying was not a usual reaction to turning into a senshi, ********* had to confess this. Perhaps she had been spoiled by Sailor Iris, who tended to act tough as nails about nearly any situation. So when the girl began to sob, the manx's heart went out to Irene. It definitely was overwhelming to say the least, and if the guardian knew it was the girl's birthday, she might have understood all of the stress overwhelming the girl.

Rather than sit idle, the feline stepped forward until she was immediately next to the dark haired girl. Within the blink of an eye, she was no longer a cat, growing to approximately the same height as the new senshi. Carefully, she stepped forward with bare feet, with a sympathetic look in her familiar green eyes. Rather than answer the girl's questions immediately, the guardian easily pulled the girl into a warm hug. If it weren't for the fact she had a pair of feline ears, ********* would have looked as if she was just a normal person.

With the palm of her hand, she rubbed circles between the senshi's shoulders in an effort to calm the poor girl down. "Irene..." she whispered into the senshi's ear. "...I know I am asking a lot of you, but trust me... I have been looking for you for so long... I know it's a lot to ask of someone you consider to be a stranger, but please trust me."

Once the comforting hug had finished up, she let the girl go with one final squeeze before distancing herself slightly so she could shrink back to her normal form. "Go to Yvette's side... and call out 'Irene's Peaceful Offering!'... do that and you will be able to defend her."

DivineSaturn

After being faced with a monster and turning into a magical something-or-other, having a talking cat turn into a girl was not terribly strange. The fact that it barely fazed her made Irene even more upset. She liked to think of herself as being worldly, but she had never considered herself otherworldly. Her identity was in question, and she wasn't sure how to handle it. Usually a show of confidence was in order, but how could she be courageous when she didn't know who- or what- she really was?

The hug did help, though. Irene cried into ********* shoulder and hiccuped and nodded at the instructions. If she couldn't be brave right then, she could at least follow directions from someone who was. Still hiccuping, she broke away from the hug with no shortage of regret and staggered over to her cousin, barely able to walk in the shoes she was now wearing. There was no time to worry about that, so she did the best she could, only stumbling twice, and took a protective stance in front of the prone Yvette.

What was she supposed to say? Irene couldn't remember, but the words helpfully supplied themselves. "Irene's Peaceful Offering!" she cried, cringing as she waited for something to happen. She didn't have to wait long. In front of her, a tiny glowing spark bloomed, becoming a miniature olive tree made of light.

"Pretty." But she didn't feel stronger or more powerful in any way, and the monster was still sluggishly advancing on her. "Now what do I do?"

LizzyMoo
The cat watched as her girl bravely staggered to the elder girl's side. Apparently the high heels weren't agreeing with the young teen. She called out, and the spectral olive tree formed.

The effects weren't blatantly obvious, but the two girls would now be safer thanks to Irene's ability. However, the girl needed comfort and reassurance that what she had done would make a difference.

Quickly returning to the girl's side after the olive tree had bloomed, she said "You are the Senshi of Peace... keep the peace...I will... do what I can..." With a cheerful smile, she then rushed forward at seemingly nothing.

Rather suddenly, something seemed to fall from the sky. Apparently the heavy youma had been lurking upon the rooftop of the building. It hadn't been so inclined to attack earlier, but the rather sudden surge of energy had made the lure too much. Unfortunately, by the time it had landed, the energy had seemed to vanish. It left only one energy signal for it to focus on.

The girl!

"Goodness... did we really just get stuck with the Rhino of youma?"

Shrugging it off, the feline called out "********* Special Surprise!" and a sudden blast of energy shot at the youma.

The youma stood there, unamused and unaffected. Pawing its flat wide foot against the ground, it then moved forward, easily knocking the manx out of the way, and making its way towards the senshi.

DivineSaturn

'You are the Senshi of Peace.'

Something about that simple statement resonated with Irene. Peace sounded so simple, but it was such a big thing. Peace was the remedy for war, strife, calamity. It was a huge concept for someone who was just barely fifteen to grasp, let alone to embody. Truth be told, she was so in awe of the title, that the rest of the situation seemed to fade away for a moment.

Then the monster landed, and Irene screamed. She could see the cat- did she just imagine a girl being there?- shoot something at the monster, but it didn't seem to do anything. She let out a cry as ********* was batted aside, then another scream when the monster turned towards her. "Help! I don't know what to do!" In desperation she took a step, but her ankle twisted at an odd angle and she crumpled. The best she could do was spread out her arms, in the hopes that she could somehow be enough of a distraction for Yvette to recover and escape.

LizzyMoo
It seemed that large heavy monsters weren't the only thing falling from the sky today. Rather suddenly a blur of yellow seemed to leap down from the rooftops immediately in front of the purple suited senshi.

"...Ya got balls, kid! I'll give ya that!"

A cheeky grin turned to face the younger senshi for maybe a split second before she turned back to the opponent and cried out "IRIS RAINBOW SLICER!"

A bright colored rainbow struck out towards the youma. Where as the feline's strange attack seemed ineffective, the blonde's rainbow seemed to cut through the youma's thick skin like butter. It might have been a bit gruesome, but there was no blood or guts to be had, the creature vanishing into a strange sooty dust.

Somewhere in the alleyway, the feline groaned out "Ouchie!"

"...so... th'cat jus'show up and waken yer a** up?"

DivineSaturn

Things were happening quickly, to the point that Irene couldn't keep up. One moment she was certain that she would be a monster's lunch. The next, an older girl in a similar costume landed in front of her. She recoiled from the bright rainbow, but it didn't hurt her, only the monster, which faded into a puff of dust as though it had never been there.

"Where did it go? Who are you? What happened?" Silly questions, perhaps, but Irene was still terribly confused, and not totally convinced that she was safe. She wrinkled her nose at the other girl's language and shrugged, her eyes filling with tears again. What was happening? When had she ceased to be in control of her life?

LizzyMoo
Now that she had dealt with the immediate threat, the tall blonde spun around on the balls of her feet to face the shorter girl. She definitely was fresh meat. Leaning in almost uncomfortably close, she gave this young girl a good hard look with her golden eyes.

"...sh*t... you'd think th'cat would do a better job explainin' th'basics. That was a youma... monsters that attack people and try to eat up their starseeds... starseeds bein' yer soul essentially. That thing was just after ya... and whoever th'hell that is on th'ground there..."

Casually she flopped a wrist towards the dark-haired girl on the ground.

"And... I'm Sailor Iris...Senshi of Rainbows..." She reached out with the wrist that had been flopping about at the girl to the new senshi.

Quietly, a certain cat was hobbling her way to the gathering, letting out tiny "ow" sounds as she went.

DivineSaturn

"She tried," Irene said defensively. "Everything just happened so fast, and it was scary... I'm making excuses for a cat. Why am I making excuses for a cat?" Why was the cat talking to her and turning her into someone she wasn't? Why was this girl- Iris, or whatever- talking at her with all of these words she had never heard before, and looking at her like she was yesterday's lunch?

Then Irene recalled part of Iris' introduction and paled. "You're a senshi? You mean like those terrorists on TV?" She scooted backwards, only to remember that the cat had called her a senshi as well. "I'm a senshi?" she squeaked, seemingly more terrified of Iris than she had been of the youma. "No, I'm not- you've got the wrong person, really! I'm just fifteen and I'm a good girl and, and it's my birthday... please, I don't want to hurt anyone!"

How she could be a terrorist of peace was beyond her. How she could be a terrorist at all was beyond her. Pretty much everything was beyond her, aside from a strong desire to grab Yvette and run until they reached her house.

LizzyMoo
The senshi jerked her hand back when the girl seemed to refuse the handshake, but further decided to start spouting out about things she did not know about.

"...So... if th'senshi are th'terrorists, then we should let those youma run about and basically kill everyone? Because that's what yer makin' it sound like..."

"Iris, behave a bit! She's your teammate!" She hadn't made it quite to where everyone was fussing over the situation, but she had to interject.

"........what?" A brow quirked at the words of the guardian before she stepped over to the cat and picked her up by the scruff of her neck. None could accuse the blonde of being gentle. She then picked the animal up to her own eye level.

"...say that again..."

"She's your teammate." ********* had an odd talent for being able to deal with Iris' rougher mannerisms, and spoke in a completely calm tone. "Iris, this is Sailor Irene. She is very new to all of this."

It was hard for the feline, but she attempted to turn to face the younger girl. "Irene... I think there's a saying about not believing everything you see on TV... and it is definitely applicable here. The media has manipulated it so it sounds like the senshi are the bad guys... where as they are the ones fighting the bad guys. That monster came from the Negaverse... and it is common practice to basically steal the starseeds from innocent victims."

There was a pause before she attempted to hit the point home. "If the youma had its way, it would have just killed you and your cousin. Just so it could eat your starseeds, nothing more."

DivineSaturn

Irene winced as Iris started berating her. It wasn't her fault that she hadn't read the terrorist handbook or taken Magical Mauling 101 in school. She wasn't claiming to have a handle on the situation, far from it. All she wanted was to be as far away from the situation as possible, especially if it involved monsters and crazy girls like this one yelling at her. At least the cat had manners, just like at the restaurant all those days ago, but that only made things harder to grasp.

"I don't believe everything," she retorted. "But they keep showing senshi doing bad things- breaking stuff, or hurting people." And then the cat threw out another new term. Irene was starting to feel like she needed a dictionary just to keep up with this conversation. "What's a Negaverse? Why are you fighting them?"

Because they did bad things, she supposed, but she wanted to hear more specifics. After what she'd been through, she felt rather like she'd earned it. At the mention of her cousin, though, she glanced back at Yvette, then looked back at Iris. "Thank you for saving us. I really do mean that. But you must have made some sort of mistake. I'm not like you." And if being a senshi made you speak the way Iris did, Irene didn't think she wanted to be one.

LizzyMoo
"...you know... you can really stop holding me like this, Iris..."

The blonde eternal snorted before flopping the cat over her shoulder. The vocalized gratitude was acknowledged with a simple "Ain't nothin'... it's what I do!" There was a pause before she added "Not that sh*t they 'show on TV.'"

Definitely in a more comfortable position, the feline was more readily able to answer the questions the newest teammate had asked. "The Negaverse are forces of Chaos. They are known to steal starseeds from innocent people. Sometimes it is through the monsters they create, such as the one you briefly got to encounter. Sometimes they directly steal them from a person. A starseed has quite a bit of energy to it, and the agents of Chaos are using them for their own purposes. Each starseed they take is essentially the death of another innocent person. A body can't live without a starseed for too long." There was a pause. "I don't know if the television has reported that mysterious increase of comas in the city... but that would be the Negaverse."

As the girl seemed to sink into a bit of denial, the feline chuckled a bit. "I most certainly hope you aren't as unpolished as Iris, here. However, you are a senshi, and you are one of my girls... one of the senshi I have been seeking out for a long time! The fact you were able to use that pen to transform is proof enough! And, a starseed doesn't lie!"

DivineSaturn

Chaos? Starseeds? The whole thing sounded like a bad plot from some Saturday morning cartoon. Irene was about to say as such, but then, she had heard of the increase of comatose patients. "I thought that had to do with the sleeping sickness from last year," she said slowly. "That's what the doctors think, anyway." And Irene had seen enough doctors in the past year to get a heaping helping of opinions from just about every field.

She bristled at the idea of her being unpolished. Mana and Babbas had made sure that she was a proper, well-educated, well-spoken girl, and Crystal Academy filled in the blanks. The reminder of her upbringing brought her usual confidence rushing back, and she lifted her head proudly. "If I'm not supposed to believe what I see on the news, how do I know I can believe you? For all I know, this is an elaborate prank, or, or... you rescued me to make me grateful so that I would reward you!" Yes, that seemed completely plausible!

Then why did everything the cat said feel so right?

"I mean," she added slowly, "I'm still grateful. I just... I don't know. About any of this. So how can I be one of you, if I don't?" How could fifteen-year-old Lydia Sfakianos be amazing and magical like the unpolished girl who had saved her hide? Wouldn't she know from the get-go if she was like that?

LizzyMoo
Iris balled up a fist and hit it against the bricks of the wall beside her.

"I rescued you because it was th'right thing t'do!"

"Iris!" the manx scolded. "Mind your manners!"

The blonde's lip quivered, tempted to snarl, but seeming to restrain herself.

She already knew she had explained that this was the way that Iris was, but ********* couldn't help but apologize again. "Sorry... but... to paraphrase what Iris said... the senshi generally don't fight for the glory or prizes or for their own gain." In all honesty, she couldn't speak for all of the senshi.

Shifting a paw, the feline began to lick at one of her paws, which she had somewhat twisted after being knocked out of the way. She wasn't making too much of a fuss, but later she'd have to truly lay back and relax for about a day. It was going to drive her nuts.

"I will be quite honest though... you don't have to believe me. You can deny the destiny... the starseed that is in your chest... you can deny the power you have. You can deny the ability you have to protect the people you care about. I honestly saved you because you are one of my girls. You will always be one of my girls."

In a less than helpful manner, the eternal senshi added "...she won't go away if ya try t'ignore her..."

DivineSaturn

Irene recoiled as Iris took her anger out on the innocent wall. Now she had made her savior angry, and that was hardly polite behavior. "I apologize," she said quickly. "I didn't mean to insult you or question your honor. One just can't be too careful, especially when confronted with... this." She waved her hand vaguely at the pile of dust that was once a monster, at the sailor-suited terrorist girl, at the talking cat, and then at herself. The picture looked like one out of the newspapers, and she didn't have too much trouble believing what they said. It was fitting herself into that image that was hard.

For the moment, she ignored the matter of destiny and focused on a different part of the explanation she found troubling. "If you don't mind my asking, Miss Cat, why do you keep calling me one of 'your girls?' I don't want to insult you or anything, but I don't belong to anyone! Not even my parents." Not that they seemed to understand that, but Irene prided herself on what independence she had managed to claim for herself, and she wasn't about to let a cat, talking or otherwise, take that away from her.

LizzyMoo
********* chuckled from her somewhat scowling perch. "Oh goodness... I forgot my own manners, haven't I? I am *********. No need for 'Miss' or anything like that... but if that's your preference, feel free!"

With that, the feline pushed herself to her paws for a moment before hopping off of the blonde's shoulder. When she landed on her feet at the ground level, she suddenly sprang up in height, once more resuming the form of a young cat-earred girl. She stood there, then rolled her wrist a bit, which still felt a bit wonky from earlier.

"I call you one of 'my girls' because you are. I am a guardian cat, and my job is to serve and protect senshi. However, I know, with all my heart, that 'my girls' are special. I have a connection... and I will be honest... I can't even really explain it perfectly." With a wink, she extended a pinky, then tapped Irene on the nose (boop). "Just know I will always keep an eye out for you, Irene!"

Knowing the risk of taking this form, ********* suddenly shrank back down again.

Iris took some steps back, then seemed to look over the scene once more. "...Anyways... If ya want me to cart yer cousin someplace a bit safer than a dark alley, then let me know... cuz... yeah... this is honestly begging for some other petty crimes to happen..." A girl passed out with an even younger girl who probably didn't know the first thing about forming a fist. It was begging for a mugging or worse.

DivineSaturn

Was this person supposed to be a cat or a girl or something else entirely? Irene blinked, then shut her eyes. "Would you mind not, um, doing that quite so much? It's difficult for me to keep track of what's going on when you keep changing like that." Or changing her into things. Or doing other improbable and impossible things without so much as batting an eye. Maybe this was everyday life for those two, but Irene's world was being turned upside-down.

The rest was equally hard to swallow. Irene had no doubts that she was special, but this wasn't the sort of special she had in mind. She wanted to travel the world, not beat up monsters! Though it was weirdly reassuring to know that someone would be looking out for her. Even if that someone was a shapeshifting cat.

Iris' words made her gasp and look back at Yvette. "She should see a doctor! But I can't take you home..." Irene looked at herself and gasped again. "I can't go home like this! Mana and Babbas will never let me out of the house again!"

LizzyMoo
"Oh, I can assure you that I don't do that all the time! I'm just so excited... however, it really isn't practical for me to be in the other form... as you'll eventually figure out!" With a slight giggle, she found her way about the girl's ankles.

Iris really didn't seem to be taking this too well. Rather than listen to what the younger senshi said, the eternal senshi walked up to the smaller figure on the ground and hoisted her up with seemingly little effort. Iris really was quite a bit larger than the girl, which did help a bit.

"Um... whatever a 'Mana' and 'Babbas' are... um... you'd be batsh*t insane t'think I go home like this..." Where as transforming took a certain bit of charm and dance, the blonde senshi soon enough revealed that the change back was much more lackluster. Her fuku simply faded to reveal a pair of baggy shorts in plaid with several more zippers than were practical, a grungy tanktop undershirt and a baggy overshirt that looked like it had once been used as a stain rag.

"When I go home, I go home as Ellie!" With a gesture of her head, she attempted to point as she asked "Now... where am I goin'?"

From her current spot, the feline almost yelped out "OH, RIGHT!!" She scampered out to a slightly better view of Irene and gave a simple explanation to her. "To change back, all you have to do is think about being your usual self... it's not too hard!"

DivineSaturn

"O-okay then." Irene stopped trying to parse everything. It wasn't getting her anywhere. There was just too much information to deal with at once. Instead, she decided to try to process everything later, in her own time. Once she settled that, functioning became much easier for her. She wrinkled her nose at Iris' uncouth comments, but followed ********* directions, and was quite relieved to find herself in the clothes she had worn at her birthday lunch, which now seemed to have been forever ago.

She smoothed wrinkles out of her skirt and curtsied to ********* and Ellie. "Thank you again for your assistance. I apologize if my confusion led to rudeness on my part. You have both been extremely helpful, and I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't been there." Even Ellie, with her apparent lack of manners, had been totally amazing, with the way she finished off that monster like it was nothing. Lydia wouldn't be forgetting that in a hurry.

Still, she frowned slightly and added, "and please be careful with Yvette!"

LizzyMoo
It wasn't beyond Ellie to stare rudely at someone. Which she was now doing out of puzzlement for the strand of overly polite comments.

"Uh...whatever, kid!" In a playful manner, she jostled the body-luggage in her arms, still seeming to possess a decent amount of upper body strength in her everyday self as well.

"...Yvette? That sounds like a rich kid's name..."

Speaking of names, Ellie gave the girl another long, hard look. "So, am I gonna have t'keep callin' ya kid... or ya got somethin' else I can call ya by? Like a name?"

If it were possible for the manx to roll her eyes, she would have done such at how barbaric the elder of the senshi duo was acting. "It is nice to know at least one of my girls has manners... well... two actually... I'm ranking 50% here it would seem, with Irene and Metis having manners, and you and Parthenope... lacking in that department."

With a snort very unbecoming of a lady, Ellie uttered "Sorry if I ain't doin' a lil' curtsy," in a tone that was dripping with sarcasm.

DivineSaturn

Playful or not, Lydia did not appreciate the fact that her possibly ill or injured cousin was being manhandled (or was it womanhandled?) by this total stranger. But she could recognize that Yvette wasn't in any real danger anymore, so she held her tongue. Dealing with strong-minded people over the years, her father first on the list, had taught her to pick her battles whenever possible. Safety was important over appearance, and Lydia definitely couldn't carry anyone alone.

Still, there was one point that Ellie had wrong. "Oh, she's not! I mean, my family is more-" She stopped abruptly, not wanting to seem like she was bragging. Her father's money had its uses, of course, but she didn't like being seen as a spoiled rich kid. She was way more than that, and had spent much of her life trying to prove it.

Introductions made an excellent change in topic. "My name is Lydia Sfakianos." She bobbed again, not in a full curtsy this time, but enough to give the impression of one. "This is my cousin, Yvette. She's very sensitive- I don't want to bog her down with all of this if we don't have to." Though depending on what Yvette had seen, she might not have a choice. How could she explain this to someone else when she didn't understand it herself?

LizzyMoo
"...Sf-watzit?"

"Goodness, are you even trying?"

"Come on, it's a HARD NAME to pronounce first time!" If she wasn't carting about a certain unconscious cousin of Lydia Sf-watzit, she might have been inclined to prod a certain cat with her foot.

Trotting along next to the pair (but keeping a wary eye for Ellie's foot), the manx replied "I don't think you have too much to worry about. I find if people pass out from me talking, they usually won't believe the cat was talking afterwards. 'Just imagined it' and such. It is enforced even better if I am present after they wake up and I mew mew mew for them."

Apparently ********* had done this act a few times.

DivineSaturn

Nobody ever got her name right on the first try, unless they spoke fluent Greek, and sometimes not even then. Still, most people did better than that, and Lydia covered her mouth with her handkerchief to disguise her smile. The last thing she wanted was to rub this person the wrong way, especially when she had been so kind and was still carrying Yvette. But it had been a very, very bad attempt.

It was a relief to not have to worry about what her cousin might think of this little adventure. Lydia hadn't been instructed to keep her new identity a secret, but she had no plans to tell her family about it. If she even hinted that she ran into anything remotely unusual that day, her parents would lock her in her room for the rest of the year, no questions asked. What freedom she had managed to obtain for herself came from a mix of apparent maturity and knowing what to tell and what not to tell the people who had her best interests at heart.

Still, something about ********* comment was unsettling. "If I may ask... how many times have you done this?" The cat had mentioned a couple of other "girls," but this sounded like experience that came from more than one or two meetings. She looked back up at Ellie nervously. "Did she do that when you were... whatever just happened?"

LizzyMoo
"Awakened."

Her tone was matter-of-fact.

"You were just 'awakened.' And this cat didn't awaken me. However... I probably woulda appreciated'er bein' there instead of b*tch-cat..."

"I am pretty sure her name is pronounced 'Astraea'..."

The tomboy scowled at ********* correction. "Well, whatever ya wanna call'er... she had no backbone. Jus' came in, insulted me, gave me instructions on how't'use my henshin pen, then ran off, leavin' me t'fight th'youma."

She wasn't about to give ********* any complements, but just describing how her own awakening had gone down, she was certainly making it obvious she gave the manx a bit more credit than Astraea.

"I have been doing this for a while... and I am going to keep doing this until I find the rest of my girls. Hygiea, Egeria, Eunomia, and Victoria. I think it has taken about... maybe a year... a year and a half... to find just half of you." Had she been sitting down, she might have been able to scratch her head, but alas, she was walking along, so that vague itchy behind her ear had to go ignored.

"In all honesty, Iris and Metis were already awakened by the time I appeared."

DivineSaturn

"Awakened," Lydia repeated, her tone more thoughtful. "I know 'waken' comes from the Old English wæcnan, from Germanic... but that implies that I was asleep before. Is that what the word is meant to imply? That my life before this was nothing but a dream?" Tangential, yes, but Lydia liked words, and she wasn't sure she liked the connotations of this one. As problematic and stressful as her life could be, she had no desire to abandon it now that she was, as they put it, awake.

It wouldn't have been polite to comment on what Lydia assumed was a private argument, but it was clear that ********* was not the only magical talking cat dispensing pens and superpowers. "So there are more cats like you, and there are more girls like... like us? And we've been, er, 'awakening' for a year and a half? Is that it?" That did agree with the news reports, roughly, but Lydia still found it hard to believe that there had been magical girls running around her hometown for over a year, and she'd never really noticed.

LizzyMoo
"The term refers to the fact your starseed... essentially, what gives you power... was asleep. Or at least, the power it gives you was asleep."

Though Lydia seemed to be piecing things together, ********* knew there were so many more things that needed to be said. "Girls and boys... though the boys are far less common..."

A smirk and chuckle managed to find a place on Ellie's face at the mention of boys. Yeah... less common, yet we got one in the place of a girl...

Eventually, the group managed to make it to a bus stop. The tall blonde stopped right next to the bench posted by it. "...So yeah... bus... unless ya want me t'walk'er home... I'm droppin' her off here..."

Winding about the leg of the bus bench, the feline asked "...hmmm... I wonder if the bus driver would be able to help her into the bus...? Or maybe now is a good time to call for some assistance?"

DivineSaturn

Boys too? For some reason, Lydia had assumed that there were only girls. Possibly it was because ********* continued to talk about her girls, and how Iris was one of her girls, and how she herself was supposedly one as well, now that she was awake. Her starseed was awake. If her starseed was, in fact, her soul, did that mean that her soul had been asleep for the past fifteen years?

She mulled it over while walking, and yelped when Ellie suggested a bus. Even though she knew that Yvette took the bus often, it wouldn't do to have her do that when she was unconscious, potentially hurt or ill. "No, I'll call a taxi. I couldn't let anything happen to her. Anything else, I mean." She had almost dragged her cousin into a horrible situation, all because she'd been asleep. Now that she was awake, she was going to be extra-careful not to involve her family in any part of her new life.

Lydia pulled out her phone, but before dialing, she turned to Ellie and *********. "Both of you have my sincere thanks for everything that you have done for us today. I feel lucky to have met you, even if it's not the most conventional of presents."

It was, after all, Lydia's birthday that day. And now it was Irene's birthday too.
