Calder would have groan if he could. He saw the dark dark clouds heading their way and they seemed to be picking up speed. There was a breeze, well it was more than a breeze but it was there and it must have been blowing the clouds towards them.
He nodded at her praise but quickly stood up. He staggered a bit but he managed to stay up. He grabbed her hand and began tugging on it trying to get her to move towards the shelter of the trees. Though the trees wouldn't offer much shelter in this storm he created. They would need a cave or someone's home to stay in and he didn't know where they could find those things.

Her grin faded as Calder stood quickly, getting pulled up after him. Glancing up at the sky again, her brow furrowed and she sniffed the air. The smell of rain was growing heavier by the moment... She quickly got her footing and hurried along at his side. "Calder? Did you just make a storm?"

He quickly pulled her towards the trees and they made it just before it started to lightly rain. He looked at her when she asked her question and shook his head. He stopped and then slowly nodded. He did but he didn't mean to! It just slipped into his thoughts.
A crack of thunder sounded and soon flashes of lightening could be soon. More thunder boomed and Calder looked around. This wasn't a good spot to be. Perhaps the storm would only be in this area and they could walk right out of it. He began walking making sure she was following when the downpour began.

Seeing the look on his face, she gave him an understanding smile. Perhaps her helping had opened up more of his ability than he'd been ready to release, and he'd overdone it a little? She looked up with wide eyes at the crack of thunder, but then smiled. Having to do a few skips to keep up, she giggled and brushed against his arm. "You're powerful, Calder." She commented. Not used to his magic and still able to bring up a whole storm? That was wonderful!

Calder felt horrible when she flashed him an understanding smile. Here she was trying to help him learn his magic and he ends up creating a storm that will soak them to the bone. It was very frustrating and her smile just seemed to make him feel worse. Apparently his freak storm wasn't making her feel bad like he was. She was giggling after all.
When she said he was powerful he merely shrugged. He really didn't care if he was powerful or not but he certainly didn't want to be powerful if the tiniest mistake or rather mis-thought would cause this. He was glad that he had gotten them to the trees so quickly because they were a lot drier than if they would have been in the clearing. As they went further into the trees, the denser the forest became which meant less rain reaching them.

She looked up at the canopy shielding them from the rains, giggling as a few droplets fell onto her nose and forehead. Wiping them off, he returned her eyes forward, looking around curiously. "Where are we going?" Her tail twitched as more droplets fell, making her fur tickled as they trailed down her sides.

Calder was looking around hoping to see a shelter of some kind. It would be nice to get out of the rain if they couldn't walk away from the storm. Hearing her question, he looked at her. He then glanced at the sky, saw that they weren't really getting away from the storm, and looked back at her. He pointed up at the storm clouds and then pointed in front of them to show away from the storm. He paused for a second and put his hands together to make a roof shape for shelter. They were either going to walk away from the storm or find shelter.

Blue eyes alert to Clader's every gesture, Glorianna nodded in understanding. A small smile of amusement flitted briefly across her features. For someone who could alter the weather, he sure didn't seem to like being in it. "Oh! I think if we turned here and went that way," she pointed appropriately, "we'll cross the main path to town. A bit of walking in the rain, but once we reach the road, we'll be able to move quicker."

Calder frowned a little at her amused smile. He wondered what she found funny but didn't feel like trying to ask. He paused a little when she mentioned that they could go to town. He had never been to town. In fact he tended to avoid it after the horror stories Cherish told him about it.
His frown deepened as he looked at her and thought about it. He didn't want to seem like a wuss for not going. So he slowly nodded his head. Yeah they could walk to the town. Perhaps this town wasn't so bad.

Glorianna's ears tipped forward curiously at the obvious reluctance. But apparently whatever had made him nervous wasn't so much of an issue. Was walking in the rain that bothersome to him? It didn't metter though! They could take refuge in one of the stores until the building storm passed on.
Giving him an encouraging smile, she reached for his hand to tug him along. Maybe they could find something to eat there as well... It would be interesting to find out what Calder would like to eat.

Calder allowed her to take his hand and drag him along. He followed besides her as they walked to town. Surely Cherish didn't have it all right if Glorianna was so excited to go to town. He ran his other hand through his hair before looking up at the sky. Seems the storm wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. But maybe they could escape it if this town was a decent ways away.

Glorianna looked up at the sky every now and then as they hurried along. "Maybe one day you'll be able to send the rain away as easily as you call it to you." She peeped, looking over at Calder with an encouraging smile. If he could summon a storm already, then with some good practice... The possibilities!
Somehow they managed to remain just ahead of the storm, and soon enough the bustling town came into view. Taur were looking at the approaching clouds with curiosity, but otherwise simply hurried along to get indoors. Looking around, Glori led her friend to large tavern that was warm and welcoming. She pulled the door open and held it, checking to make sure Clader would be okay to actually go in. If he'd never been to town, had he never been in a building like this before? "Come on. We'll be dry in here until the rain passes on."

Calder nodded. It would be nice to be able to send the rain away. He slowed down when the town came into view and stopped altogether just at the start of it. He gaped at all of the buildings and the different taur. He didn't get to stay still for long for soon Glori was dragging him to a large building.
When she opened the door he stopped again looking at the building warily. He wasn't sure he wanted to go in, even if they would stay dry. He took a step back remembering more of the stories Cherish had told him. Thieves and ones who would do harm to him were the focus of those stories. He looked at Glori with a very worried face. Did they really have to go in?

Carefully reading his expression, Glorianna nodded and gave him a soft smile. "Let's go over here then." Letting the door fall shut, she headed down the road, passing more buildings and taur who either ignored the pair or gave them cursory glances.
Looking up as rain drops started to sprinkle down on them, she smiled again and quickened her pace. He would like this better... Around a corner, through an alley, and they walked into a decent sized garden of flowers with an old but sturdy gazebo in the middle. That would keep them dry as well, as long as the wind didn't blow too terribly. One side was protected by a row of short evergreens; their best bet for protection without going into or lingering near a building.
She glanced back to Calder, checking again for his approval as they walked up.

Calder was so happy when she let the door shut. He followed her closely, almost to the point of where he would have made her stumble, especially when they received glances from the other taur.
Seeing the gazebo he smiled. This was much better than that strange building. He walked under the gazebo and looked at the flowers. The rain was light still and this would be a perfect shelter. Looking back at Glori he mouthed 'Thanks'.
