 ♠~Lucien~♠ ♣~Korey~♣ His tail sticking straight up in excitement, the easily-satisfiable Demi began to trot at a swifter pace, looking back at Ardessa. She really was beautiful. And the way the sun glinted off her amber-and-orange shaded fur made his heart skip a beat. He couldn't help staring, no matter how weird it may make him seem. Ah, Korey wouldn't leave him alone about this. "But of course! You're anything but a bother! You're the best thing that happened today."His gaze was drawn back to the city as the two had just entered its perimeters. The gate towering above them read, 'Welcome to the City of Sutek!' in big, friendly letters. From underneath the word 'of,' a Lasirus --more specifically, a Marsh Lasirus-- hung. Lucien called out to him, and almost instantly his tall ears twitched, and before you knew it, he had unfolded his wings and was flying towards them. The Demi turned his head to the Escalade, a childish grin on his face. "Oh, yeah. Korey's my best friend. He came all the way from the Marshes of Tarquid to accompany me. Here he comes now."With a nod, the two greeted each other wordlessly as the Lasirus landed perfectly upon Lucien's shoulders. He neatly folded his wings at his sides, his attention immediately drawn by Ardessa. "Hm? Eh. Lucien, who's this? A new friend? Oh, by the way, nice to meetcha, Miss, I'm Korey. Y'see, Lucien here's an expert with the ladies --Oh, but I probably shouldn't say that, shouldn't I?-- Anyways, welcome to Sutek! It's hot, but nice. I prefer the marshes better, but y'know, home is where yer friends are!"As Korey let his mouth loose, Lucien rolled his eyes, knowing this would happen. He was more embarrassing than his mom. And she was pretty embarrassing. ((Nah, it's fine. Oh, and by the way, sorry to leave once you've started posting again, but I'm leaving from July the 1st to the 19th for vacation. I hope you'll still rp with me when I come back. >w<; ))

 ☼~Ardessa~☼ She raised her eyebrows, obviously humored by his posture and the fact that he was staring. It was best not to tease about that, though, for that would embarass anyone with good reason. So, Ardessa kept her mouth shut and just smiled to show her humor. Of course, she blinked back, surprised at the simple compliment she'd just been given. "O-oh, well...I guess I could say the same, for if you hadn't come along I'd be wandering around lost in the desert." The Escalade mumbled out and kept trotting like she'd said nothing of the sort. The sign caught the ember eyes of the female, and she looked it over, taking in the shape of the Lasirus. When Korey landed on the Demi, Ardessa noticed the large smile on her guide's face. She let the Lasirus do his talking, not interrupting and eyeing him with amusement. "Well thank you for the warm welcome," She dipped her head. "And I'm Ardessa, from---" er, well..Crap. She couldn't exactly answer in the first place, could she? Even if the name did come to mind. "Er...Not here. If not for your friend I'd probably be wandering around lost in the dunes."With a tiny smile, she finished her own partial introduction and let her eyes take in the place around them. {No biggie, I'll be here :] }

 ♠~Lucien~♠ ♣~Korey~♣ "Is that so? How kind of him," Korey commented, slightly nudging the back of Lucien's head with his rat-like tail. "But why stop there? This is the perfect opportunity to get to know one another better! Come on, I discovered an friendly-looking tavern we can crash at for the night." With a couple strong downstrokes of his leathery wings, the Lasirus was up in the air and on his way. Lucien's tail curled and uncurled happily. He turned to look at Ardessa, then gestured with a paw for her to come with him. "Sorry if Korey came off as a bit...odd, but he's my best pal. There isn't anyone else quite like him." he asked, his eyes focused on the Escalade's. "Well... Shall we, then?" He started to walk a bit slower, finding himself admiring the town in its unique glory yet again. Although he loved a town so keen on treasure-hunting and exploring, he would like to settle down in a calmer, more peaceful place. Like the villages in Para Glades: set in the relaxing, quiet atmosphere of small forests, open fields, and the clear, blue ocean. The Demi sighed. But it would certainly be a long time before he could even think about retiring from this profession! After all, he had to carry out his father's legacy in his place. But...for how long, he wondered. "Hey~! You guys, get a move on! I've already booked us a reservation, and I don't wanna be late!" Korey's irritated figure came from a nearby two-floor building that looked like it was made of clay and sand. The Lasirus could be seen twirling in a circle, mumbling to himself all the desserts he had read on the menu earlier that day, when Lucien was out on his little expedition. ((Sorry for being so late. ^^; ))

 ☼~Ardessa~☼ The Escalade didn't bother objecting, for she saw no reason to and just realized her own exhaustion. The... descent, along with walking around the desert for awhile has taken it's toll, even on it's most unlikely victim. Being beckoned, she willingly followed the two towards the tavern the Lasirus had scoped out. Sleep not only would bring refreshing rest, but would provide the final puzzle pieces for her job here. "He doesn't come across as weird at all. I've experienced odder creatures, believe me." Ardessa offered, nodding and continuing to follow as the Demi's thoughts wandered. The town was pleasantly warm, and the Escalade tipped her face up to the sun for the concentrated warmth if gave off. She'd stretched like a cat might do, paws out impossibly extended and her tails excerising themselves as well. Would the little lady have time to explire other regions, she wondered. Or would that little quest take up all her time? Home is where your friends are, quote the Lasirus. Maybe Ardessa could try, erm...Making friends? Thoughts like this weren't priority right now, though, and she had to keep her mind on the task at hand, whether or not she knew about the details. They would return after a night's slumber. Ardessa 's attention was caught when Korey decided they weren't approaching quick anough, and the amber she-animal bounded forewards, all three tails flicking through the air and the sun possible blinding someone due to it's glint off of her helmet-like head accessory. {No worries ^~^}

 ♠~Lucien~♠ ♣~Korey~♣ Unfortunately, Lucien was the sad victim of the blinding reflection of the sun off Ardessa's shiny noggin. Dazed, the Demi started wandering aimlessly through the pathways, almost bumping into a fiery-looking Antlephore...literally. His tail, hooves, and even a tuft of fur on his head seemed to have small, controlled flames emitting from them. But although these things seemed to have amazed Lucien, the Antlephore seemed far from pleased. He rudely shoved the Demi away from him using his antlers, almost sending him to the ground. "Watch your footing, commoner! You could have run into me and gotten my fur dirtied with sand!" the Antlephore spat, holding his head a little too proudly. Taken off guard, Lucien couldn't find the words to make a swift retort. He only managed to barely find his footing again and catch up to Ardessa, quickly bowing his head in apology before doing so. Korey, on the other hand, had already gone inside the tavern and had taken his seat, clearly unable to wait any longer for Ardessa and Lucien. Stumbling along, Lucien dared to look back at the almost-mess he had caused with the Antlephore, and found him glaring back at him. This unnerved the Demi. It seemed like the Antlephore's eyes itself were on fire. But, there was something bothering Lucien. What was a fancy-pants like him doing in a city like Sutek? There was nothing he could think of that could satisfy the so-called 'noble,' but tourist spots and treasure. Although, it didn't seem like the Antlephore wasn't a mere tourist. "Uh...Ardessa?" the Demi started, drawing his attention towards the Escalade. "I couldn't help but think...that Antlephore looks kind of like you. Do you know him, by any chance?"(Heheh, Pride. Here's what he looks like: )

 ☼~Ardessa~☼ The escalade watched the exchange between the two males, her tails bristling from the minute the Antlephore spoke. There were mixed emotions in the tri-tailed lady's mind, one speaking familiar, another dazzled by the flame, a third sporting hostility so dark she felt her lip curl in an animal snarl. Of course,t he fact that this stranger was rude to her new friend made matters worse and she glared after the deer with glittering eyes. "What a prissy little..." Ardessa muttered, probably only heard by the returning Demi, only to be quieted by shame since that's precisely how she'd felt when her eyelids opened to show the expanse of desert. She shook her head vigorously, all that long fur waving around and settling to resemble that of a puffball. A dissatisfied expression settled on the Escalade's face, and she felt a chill befall her veins when she allowed her eyes to follow Lucien's. A spark set through her mind the moment Lucien suggested their resemblence, and Ardessa gasped quietly, blinking dinner-plate eyes. Not that she had fully recognized this Antlephore as who he was, but her memories had put themselves back together. Of course, nothing was stopping her from shooting daggers right back at the prideful stag, which was what she did. A growl came from her throat and she shook herself again, her suddenly brilliant eyes dimming as did a strange heat near her bracelets. "No..I don't know who that is....C-come on, let's not keep Korey waiting..." She mumbled, tugging on the Demi's tail to bring his attention from Pride. As the Escalade walked away slowly, she ran through the possibilities that this was part of her duty, and how she could possibly get the... Thing back to where it belonged. { biggrin DD Yay we found one! Now how to catch him...And apologies for crappy post >.<}

 ♠~Lucien~♠ ♣~Korey~♣ The Demi's train of thought interrupted by a sudden tug on the tail, Lucien started to follow the somewhat anxious Escalade into the tavern, where Korey spotted them through the doorway and quickly waved down a server to order them a meal. As the two of them made their way into the tavern, Lucien's confusion over the last little while suddenly caught up to him, causing him to stumble over his own paws once more. Meanwhile, the Antlephore turned his attention to Ardessa, regarding her with the utmost suspision. Could it be...? No...I'm sure she won't even dare to try, even if she did know, Pride thought, sending off two curious Chai's with a malicious glance. With a flick of his short, flaming tail, he kicked dirt in their direction before strutting off around a corner and into a rather neat inn across the tavern. "Jeez, you guys, what took so long? I almost had to order without you!" Korey demanded, flapping his wings with emphasis to show his exasperation. "Well, whatever it was, I'm sure it can wait until after dinner!" The Lasirus couldn't help but let out a small cry of delight as the server from earlier put down bowls of exotic-looking food including Sutek's reknowned salad, curry, and oasis fish caviar. The server also put down three sets of plates and small bowls. "Oh, uh, heheh. I guess I did order without you. Sorry," Korey said sheepishly, shrugging his bony shoulders. ('Tis okay. I'm playing...three characters now? And I feel like I still don't have a long enough post. XD)

 ☼~Ardessa~☼ After the two had seated themselves next to Korey, Ardessa tried to ignore the tugging thoughts at the back of her mind by clouding her head with her surroundings. The air smelled like it should, the scents of all the different foods crowing the place, making her mouth water. She chuckled apologetically at the Lazirus, "I'm sorry, we had an interesting...Encounter outside. Didn't mean to keep you waiting!" It took the Escalade a few moments to realize she had no idea what to do. She glanced around, then at the company she had for some advice and as to what she should eat. Watching as a waiter carried a plate of green leaves over to another table, the brightly colored Escalade looked quite out of place hunched at the table. The fact that she was clueless and frustrated helped to add the foreign effect... She stared wide-eyed at the food, not noticing the talking Lazirus as soon as the plates were set down. The food looked not only foreign, but popular as she noticed each dish at a few other tables as well. Ardessa shrugged at the apologizing Lazirus. "Wow...So, what do you recommend I try first?"(I know, I'm sorry Dx I feel like I need to pull a little more weight...^^; I'll play Gluttony, Sloth and Greed when they come up? biggrin I think Wrath should be last...)

 ♠~Lucien~♠ ♣~Korey~♣ Lucien found himself staring at Ardessa for a short span of time. Her cluelessness intrigued him; he found it rather adorable. While Korey busied himself with the feast in front of him, the Demi took a fair helping of the caviar and placed the plate in front of Ardessa before taking some for himself. "Here, try some of this. It's my favorite, and I'm sure Korey would recommend it as well," he said with a small laugh, glancing his friend. "Don't worry, by the time we arrived in Sutek, Korey probably already scouted the best places to eat around here; you won't be disappointed, I promise!" Flashing a small grin at the Escalade, Lucien started to take the first bites of his meal, and as usual, it was up to his standards. Not that a travelling treasure-hunter like him had any high expectations of his meals, anyways. But a gourmet like Korey was a completely different story. In this friendly and homey atmosphere, it would have been easy for the Demi to have forgotten his less-than-nice encounter with the flame-covered Antlephore. He couldn't shake the feeling that Ardessa was somehow connected with him, as unlikely as it seemed. But then again, it could've just been Lucien's imagination. He was prone to these types of things, especially in this heat. (Okay, sounds fine. xp Then I'll play Lust and Wrath? Btw, Any ideas of what creatures they could be? Lust could be a glacier Popoko and Wrath can either be a bloodred Ghostly, and the bloodred Lasirus looks pretty interesting, too. whee )

 ☼~Ardessa~☼ She stared down at the caviar for a moment or so, then nodded. "Ok, looks good.." The Escalade took a nibble of the caviar she'd been served, and blinked before tasting it a again. Her three tails wagged a little, and the Escalade gave a small smile. "Not bad at all.~" She continued to enjoy the meal, eventually taking a few other things scattered around the table to try out. She wasn't disappointed, either. This land's food was delicious. She laughed subtley, but was still trying to chase away the stag's presence. Unfortunately, she couldn't, and decided it was time to bring up the Demi's part of the bargain. "Lucien? Remember when we made that deal back there..." She didn't want to bring up the entire fiasco with him right here and now, but best let him know what she thought, which was that she believed the Antlephore was part of her own little, erm...Quest. {Yep, Lust looks awesome >w< For Wrath, what about something scarier D: Like the (bloodred of course >.<) Dragarth or Magnus surprised The Cadogre and Endeavors look pretty dangerous too surprised /fascinated with dragons atm sorry Dx I think Gluttony would be nice as a Dillema, dunno what color but they're fat xD ..And Sloth might be a Serpenth(twilight?) or somethign else if you can think of one >.< And then Greed, probably a gold Mahar..)

 ♠~Lucien~♠ ♣~Korey~♣ Korey's attention was shifted between his meal and the curious Escalade sitting across him. Sure, he and Lucien had been to many places during their travels, but he was certain he hadn't seen this strange and mysterious a foreigner. He was on his third helping of just about everything on the table as he sat and listened quietly, keeping all his questions to himself. As the Demi crunched on an especially green leaf of lettuce, he turned his gaze upon Ardessa once more. He was quite surprised when she mentioned the Antlephore again, and that he might be someone they would have to encounter again, which, honestly, scared him a little. "So...you're telling me, that you need this 'Pride' guy for something? Um, no offense or anything of the sort, but frankly, I'm a bit frightened by him," he said, tucking his tail in between his legs. (Magnus could work as Wrath. I agree with Gluttony being a Dillema, maybe a field one? And Sloth could maybe be a glade Serpenth. A gold Mahar as Greed would be perfect. biggrin )

 ☼~Ardessa~☼ The female besides the Demi had tried everything atop the tabe at this point, and despite feeling like a bit of a glutton herself she still wasn't full. Sheepishly, she ate a little more of the caviar and her expression was that of satisfaction. Nodding, the Escalade munched a bit until she could speak. "Yeah, we need something from him. Don't feel like you need to apologize, he's got this aura about him.." She shivered and shook her head. Sighing, Ardessa continued. "But, the issue is I have no idea how to get...What I need from him." It was alot more complicated now that she put some thought to it, how were they going to pull this off? "Not exactly the friendliest creature.." She growled quietly. {I agree, i agree, I agree 3nodding }

 ♠~Lucien~♠ ♣~Korey~♣ "Hmm..." the Demi tilted his head to one side, then the other in thought. "Well, I think he went into the inn across from this tavern, so maybe we can start there. But from there, I don't know how we can get near him..." Shaking his head in frustration, Lucien served himself some more salad and caviar. Maybe, if he thought of this like retrieving an ancient treasure from a legendary temple of some sort, he could think of a plan, but his imagination right now was failing him. Korey suddenly piped up, all of his dishes completely empty. "Ooh! He hasn't seen me yet, right? I could try and get it for you," the Lasirus suggested, patting his stomach satisfyingly. It seemed like a pretty good plan to him so far, but he had never done anything of the sort before. The only adventerous feats he was eager to do had to do with the culinary arts. He was more of a behind-the-scenes kind of guy, or so he says.

 ☼~Ardessa~☼ Her tails flicked about in interest as they both spoke, her maw upturning in a slight smile at the Lasirus's offer. Neither knew what they'd be up against, but neither did the Escalade, aside from a vague idea. "Yeah...Maybe I could, oh..What? Make reservations at the same inn as he?" she offered up, knowing that they lived here so they wouldn't have made any reservations thos plan would interrupt. "Would that work? We'd be inconspicuous...But I'm not sure how to get to him..." Ardessa chuckled at the Lasirus, and shook her head. "I think it may be too difficult for you by yourself. You'd look odd walking around the inn, looking for our target when you've got yourself a home here. It'd be suspicious..." not that she knew, but it was likely Pride had seen them all together, right? The Escalade didn't know Korey had been out of sight during the exchange. {late reply V.V;}
