"Sounds good to m- ack!"
Shun's words were cut off as the tail of the boafox started to slap his face and whatnot from Milo's movements. Twitching, he frowned at the mini and said, "Milo, settle down."
With his own movements and the fox spinning under him, the little mouse was starting to get kind of dizzy. So Bent stopped, looking a little unsteady while trying to hold onto Milo's head.
"..Let's just keep moving," The reaper murmured while stepping out the school gates finally. He paused momentarily to look back towards the girls to see if they were coming.

In a way, Shun was nicer than Mac because if a minipet had done that to him, he would probably swear before throwing said pet to the ground. Or something along those lines. She couldn't help smiling at the thought, although since she was sort of smiling in his direction, it could easily be interpreted as a smile at the minipets' antics.
"Awesome, its settled then!" She grinned at Mitsu at hearing Shun's 'approval' before walking after the reaper.

Milo immediately came to a halt hearing Shun's tone. Curiously he moved his head over to the reaper's face to give him a sniff then settled down into his previous spot laying across his shoulders with his tail wrapped around his neck for balance.
"Ah Milo st-" Mitsu was going to tell Milo to stop and settled down as well but Shun had beaten her to it.....and the fox had listened! For a moment, Mitsu was dumbfounded with amazement as she watched the reaper move out the gate. Milo never listened unless there was food involved. How had Shun done that?
It took her a moment to get moving again after Shun had looked back to see if they were following. "H...how did you get him to listen?" Mitsu asked. She really hadn't accounted for the fact that she was a push over and not very good at being strict.

While his expression didn't change all that much, Shun was glad that the fox had finally stopped moving around so much. It was kind of annoying to have to deal with that. Glancing towards Mitsu as she asked how he had done that, he looked her over for the moment.
"You need to sound confident and sure of yourself or an animal is less likely to listen to you," he said. He heard her begin to give the command earlier, but her tone didn't sound as firm as the one he had used.
"Doesn't always work, but it helps," he added, recalling the number of times where Bent did what he wanted regardless of what was said or done.
Shun then looked over towards Lizzy, as if expecting her to take the lead. He didn't ask though.. namely due to not wanting to admit outright that he really had no clue where the hell he was going. All he could guess was that it was somewhere over the bridge in the distance.

Lizzy blinked when Shun looked her way; it was a second later before it finally registered that she was supposed to show them the way to the cafe and of course, the maul it was located in. While the place was pretty hard to miss, might as well lead the way since she had asked to tag along for lunch... She probably is going to end up grabbing just a drink though.
"Right this way~" She walked ahead, turning back only to make sure that both of them were following; as Shun had predicted, the maul was further up the road, past the bridge, "Ohhh, we do have a minipet class, but the professor is rather... Uh, odd. And unconventional... Although I guess most of the professors in this school have their quirks."

Mitsu's ears flattened out a bit when Shun mentioned confidence was the key. She was fairly certain she didn't have that....never had that. "O..okay." She tried to nod like she would absorb his advice. Didn't want to be rude after all she just didn't think she had the ability to pull it off.
When it seemed Lizzy was going to lead the way for them Mitsu tagged along in the back her masked expression moving about to take in the sights. This place was rather different than where she had come from since Mr. Adolphus liked his privacy.
Her ears perked up a little though spotting the bridge, one ear giving a twitch hearing the running water.
"T-there is a mini pet's class?" Mitsu asked still listening to the conversation despite the fact that her focus was elsewhere. She was at least good at multitasking. "D..do you think it will help?" She had her doubts but it was worth a try.

At the mention of a minis class, Shun glanced between the two girls. It wasn't something he thought he would need particularly, but at the same time it didn't sound like a class that would require much reading. As much as he hated having to deal with schoolwork in general, it might be one he could take to breeze through things. Maybe.
"Couldn't hurt I guess," he said with a shrug as he came up towards the bridge. The thing looked a little old and rickety with some pieces missing from the railing but the reaper didn't think much of it. He just paused for the moment to make sure Mitsu was keeping up alright.

"It never hurts to try!" She nodded in agreement with Shun before pausing, realizing that what she had just said was a lie. An unintention lie; it might hurt. Quite a bit actually. Quickly, she added, "You never know until you try! Besides, that's what we're in school for... To learn." Among other things, of course, but most come for the purpose of learning, seeing how this is a school and all.
Crossing the bridge, she remembered why she usually took the longer route around; the bridge is old... And walking on it made her rather nervous. Less now that she can sort of swim, but still...
"Hm, actually, let's walk the other way," She stopped, frowning, "I don't like this bridge..."

Mitsu was rather curious of the bridge as they approached her eyes looking at the water below it. She was a rather good swimmer so she had no fear of drowning...it was just falling. At least the bridge wasn't too high over the water, though it looked a little worse for wear. Still she started across not seeming too worried about the instability.
"The other way?" Mitsu asked turning back. She was already on the bridge, it didn't seem so bad just old. "Is there a shorter way?" Maybe this was the long way to the maul.
Lounging in a tree not far off was a familiar friend...or enemy as it were. The demon cat that had greeted Mitsu and Milo on their first day to the school grounds. It looked like it had been sleeping but its eyes opened hearing the approaching Halloweeners, it's focus immediately going to the boafox around Shun's neck.
Interest perked the demon cat stood from its spot on the branch and began to follow, eyes dilating as it watched. It was nearly to the bridge when it stopped hunkering down poised and ready to pounce.

At first, Shun shot Lizzy a sidewards glance as she said it never hurt to try, but then corrected herself. He then turned to face her a little more directly as she mentioned some other potential route to take. Raising an eyebrow at this prospect, he paused in the middle of the bridge.
"The bridge doesn't seem too bad," he said. However, if there really was a shortcut, he'd be up for that. As he looked around the area in general, he didn't notice the cat lurking around in the shadows nearby.

"Well, if the two of you say so..." She nodded, although she still looked a little uncertain as she continued on her way down the bridge; perhaps she was just being paranoid... What's the worse that can happen? Its not like the bridge was creaking under their weight and threatening to break... Just really close to it.
"Nah, I usually take the longer way around," She explained with a sheepish smile; like her companions, she was blissfully unaware of the cat that probably had some devious scheme up its... Sleeves? Paws? Fur? Either way, she soon found herself near the end of the bridge, "There are shops along the street, after all, but walking across this bridge is the shortest route."

"Oh," Mitsu said shortly. Lizzy was just really leery of the bridge, which Mitsu could understand. It wasn't the stablest of things she had ever crossed. At least they were mostly across by this point so it couldn't be that bad.
When Shun had paused in the middle of the bridge that's when the demon cat had decided to move. With Milo in his sights the cat lunged from its perch high above the Halloweeners, bounced its way along the railing of the bridge and leaped toward Shun claws out ready to grab hold of the fox's tail.
Unfortunately for Shun, Milo saw the demon cat at the last moment and panicked, jumping with Bent away from the reaper toward the ground. This left Shun to face the demon cat on his own as the creation seemed to be heading straight for his face.

If the other way was longer, Shun would rather take the bridge. They were already crossing it for the most part and Lizzy made it to the other side with no problems. The thing was in poor condition, but it didn't sound or feel like it was falling apart beneath their feet and all.
He was just about to continue on as well when he caught some quick movement out of the corner of his eyes. Turning to see what it was, he felt Milo suddenly jump away and the next thing he knew was that he had a cat right in his face. Literally. Letting out a small cry, he tried to bring up his hands to block the attacking creature but it came crashing right into him anyway.
Staggering back while trying to deal with the little beast, he soon felt the bridge railing behind him. Well. He did for a split second before the sound of splintering wood could be heard. The railing had given away and the reaper found himself plunging into the murky water below. Eyes widening, he instinctively tried to gasp for air but he was already submerged, taking in water instead. While it wouldn't have mattered, the way his body was fighting and failing to get air kept him from really attempting to surface. There was some flailing, but it wasn't enough, and his lack of ability to swim in the first place certainly didn't help.

"SHUN!"
She instinctively reached out for the boil, but of course, it was too late; he had already fallen into the water below. Her second reaction was to jump in after him; however, she stopped, freezing at the rails of the bridge as she stared at the water with a frown. She remembered something very important - she can't swim that well, especially not well enough to save someone who is probably much heavier than she is.
She continued to stare at the surface of the water for a while, resisting the urge to flail; maybe he'll surface any time soon! One... Two... Three... With each passing second, she grew more and more anxious. That cat was also probably in trouble...
"M-Mitsu, can you swim?" She spoke quickly, turning to the other ghoul. Of course, if its a yes, the next part of her sentence was pretty much implied - go after Shun.

As soon as the reaper hit the water the demon cat pushed away landing mostly on shore. He barely got his back feet wet which he shook off to rid them of the water before he neatly sat on shore to watch the chaos he had created.
"S-Shun!" Mitsu ran to the side of the railing when the reaper went over, trying to search for him through the murky water. Seconds ticked by and he didn't resurface....could....could he not swim?
Nervously she turned to Lizzy when she asked if she could swim. She could, she could swim rather well. With a nod Mitsu grabbed for her mask and pulled it off her face. She didn't want to take it off but she also didn't want to lose it.
Trying to hide her face the best she could she held the mask out to Lizzy before moving to the side of the bridge where Shun had fallen over. If it wasn't for the fact she was afraid he would drown she would have frozen on the spot from the height she had to jump.
Thankfully there wasn't much time to think about it as she took a deep breath and leaped into the water instantly diving to search for the reaper. The water was so murky and impossible to see through but her hands continued to search until they brushed across the leather material of his jacket. Knowing she had found him she grabbed hold of the jacket and pulled Shun toward her trying to take a good hold of him before she swam for the surface and toward the shore.
The wolf girl didn't run into much trouble until she reached the bank. The water made it easy to transport Shun and her legs were strong enough to swim with them both, but dragging him onto shore was another matter entirely. Her arms were rather weak so it took her a moment to drag him up onto dry land. When she had she knelt beside him.
"S..Shun? Shun?!" Was he breathing? She had been taught CPR, she knew how to do it properly but huff puff she had never had to actually do it for real!
