"Arrow I'm very flattered but it's against the law and..." she knew what she was going to next would kill her inside but it's the right thing to do. "I just can't return your feelings." she said not able to look at him as she said that.

Alyssa blushed deeply beginning to melt into the kiss but caught herself. Reluctantly she pulled away. "Arrow.."

"Arrow this not just some rule. It's law." Alyssa said. "I am not going to let you get in trouble because of me besides you are supposed to marry a princess not a servant girl" Alyssa said looking at him then down at the ground.

"I-i know Arrow but we can't" she said and stood. "I need to continue with my chores. I'll be back with your tea in a little bit" she said and headed to the door wanting to cry so badly but held back her tears as best she could.

After she left Arrow silently let the tears fall from his eyes as he watched her walk out the door. He'd never admit it but he was scared that she'd never come back to him alive.

Alyssa sighed finally letting the tears flow. She loved him so much but she couldn't risk getting him in any trouble.

Arrow turned and walked to his window and like always when he or Alyssa or both were sad or upset it was rainning.

Alyssa walked into the garden wiping away her tears which continued to keep flowing. "Why did I tell him no?" she said to herself sitting by the huge fountain.

"I must stop crying" she told herself wiping the tears away once again. "If Arrow sees me he'll know I was lying even more" she said to herself and sighed as she stood and began to pick more flowers to replace in the kingdom. She stuck her hands with thorns but tried to ignore the pain.

Arrow sighed and laied back down on his bed and drifted into a dreamless sleep.

Alyssa walked inside her hands bloody and her clothes and hair soaking wet from the rain. She place the flowers where they go then returned to the kitchen to get Arrows tea. She recieved it but only to be slapped very hard by the head maid causing her nails to cut her cheek. She winced but helc back tears. Today just wasnt her day. She took the tray and walked to Prince's room knocking on the door. Her hands and now cheek bloody. Her cheek still red from the slap.
