"Sports fanatics aren't big fans of me anyway." It was said with a quick flicker look up at Kam, sideways and appraising, like Ever was trying to decide just how close the other man came to fitting in that category. Even thinking about it set him on guard, head tipped to light his cigarette but attention not wandering fully away from his drinking companion. Wise to keep him in the sights.
A quick lick of his lips and he stepped away from the bar and Kam both, blowing smoke out of the corner of his mouth and hiking his shoulders in a careful sort of shrug. "...sorry if, uh. Eh, they'll probably forgive you, even if you did scratch the table."
The way he flicked ash away was fidgety and a little uncomfortable, away from his clothing so he wouldn't do any kind of damage, a hand dipped into his pocket to make sure he hadn't left anything behind. Reassured, he flashed Kam another brief smile. "If they even remember it was you. So not that sorry after all I guess."

Kam rolled his eyes sideways as he drew a long deep breath from his cigarette, considering the lanky, tall figure. Maybe it was just because he was drunk and not really on his A-game, but Kam wouldn't have thought much of Ever if he hadn't blurted it out loud.
Then again, the blurting bit was probably the problem.
"I dunno, you're not that bad." He shrugged his shoulders carelessly at Ever and glanced up at the heavy moon overhead. He tilted his head back and blew one long, billowing column of smoke at it and then took a step in the direction Ever was heading. "You just have a big ******** mouth." Even with the swear and the slight slur in his words, it was all said without much concern.
He left the cigarette hanging limply from his lips and stuffed his hands in his pockets instead, staring off down the empty streets they were walking so late at night. "Penny'll fix it, she's good at that kind of s**t. You know, bullying people to get what she wants." He smirked at himself and blew a breath of smoke from his nose, not even squinting as it flew back into his face. "So yeah, I guess you don't need to apologize to me. Not my problem."

Ever managed not to blurt this time at least -- instead mumbling under his breath, his reply smothered into the cigarette, likely for the best. His 'you gotta big ******** everything was unintelligible, muffled as it was. Sometimes, the world around him was good enough not to help dig his own grave...
"Hmmp." Puffing out smoke he stepped away from the wall. A quick shake of his head. Ever considered himself dismissed, even if that hadn't been Kam's intent. The distant tone, the distracted eyes, the way Kam stood...and anyway. It was late.
"I'm running. Maybe I can find an Applebees or something and see the end of the game..." As he spoke, he backed up, eyes on Kam but retreating, and obviously so. He hadn't seemed to care that much about the baseball on the screen, but at the very least he did want to know how it ended. "Uh. See you? Don't get in trouble."

Kam didn't even look up at the mumble, probably because he was so distracted he hadn't heard him. He did notice when Ever stepped to the side, though, and he paused and let his eyes drift over to him lazily.
"Alright, see you around dude," he waved with the hand that held the half burnt cigarette, then put it to his lips and turned back to the direction he had been heading originally. He drew once more and blew out a long breath of smoke into the night air around him.
He didn't look back at Ever and wherever he was going, but instead began to consider what was along the way back to Bo's apartment. Food didn't sound like a bad idea.
