Morin smiled and then titled his head to the side before lightly flexing his wings and setting them on his back. Nothing really kept him from flying apart from having a broken wing. The cut wasn’t too deep and though it was a gash in his wing his flying was far from impaired. He had flown with worse injuries and he had flown here. As long as there weren’t any sand storms baring the way the wound would stay fine. However it was best to stay quiet and walk for a while. He had been flying long enough for the last week that he was okay being grounded. Seriously meeting up with all his friends these days was harder than it had any right to be.
“Two of them aren’t too far from here. They’re just on the other side of the forest to the north of the Harami desert. There was a sand storm not to long ago and it’s still moving through the desert. I’ll use it as an excuse on why I am a little late” morin stated. He as a necessary rule didn’t lie to the tribe but at the same time a small bit of half truth didn’t hurt at times either. He blinked before looking out at the desert and nibbling on his bottom lip. “Well how about we go in about two hours?” he finally decided. “I’ll check in with one of members who are closest to this spot and tell them my small detour is going to take a bit longer than expected. Kaname and Akori stated they might stay around for a while to restock on some herbs.

Faiza gave Morin a stern look. "And you will not be flying to check in with this member? I did not think your tribe came so close to where I live that you could make the journey afoot in such a short amount of time." Her gaze softened just a bit though. She could never stay upset for long, especially with Morin. It was a useless exercise, anyway, unless she wanted to become a controlling harpy. That would serve no purpose but to make her just as unhappy, and possibly chase Morin away.

"As a scout I tend to know where the other scouts are, at least when they are on Harami land. As for the outpost yes its with in the time frame I gave you. If I flew there I would be back in thirty minutes. " he pointed out. "I promise I will not fly on my wing for the next six hours, past then I would have to say it depends on my mood." he teased. He really didn't like not being able to fly. It might be slightly hypocritical of him, but he had worked too hard to get to his current skill level.

The stern look Faiza gave Morin now was more of a mocking, playful one. "See that you do," she said primly. "Or I shall have to storm into Harami lands to scold you, much as I dislike making a public spectical. I shall do it though, for your safety means more than my dignity." And here Faiza inserted a long-suffering sigh, though it was plane to see from her sparkling eyes and twitching lips that she was laughing inside.
This was another new thing, one she found she enjoyed. Faiza had never before thought she'd meet another fox she felt light-hearted enough around to tease, let alone that the fox would be another Phim! She had come a long way from the adolescent that left her family in the dead of night.

“Oh but what if I have given them a false name, after all it is very foolish to give your actual name out to a bunch of thieves.” Morin teased. However he had in fact given his name out at the time. He supposed a fake name would have worked. They had given out fake names but he didn’t really care there was no way to use his name against him and he didn’t own anything that could be stolen.
“However your concern is very touching and we wouldn’t want that, so I guess I will try my best, after all every girl should be able to keep her dignity.” Morin stated with a weird nod. Happy she seemed more relaxed, for lack of a better word at the moment, than when she had first shown up in his tribe’s desert.

"Hmmm, that could backfire on you as well," Faiza said. "Even if I call you by a different name they would still recognize you for you. That would tell them you are hiding something or up to something. Perhaps not any kind of dangerous outcome, but it might lead to a few interesting questions." Not that Faiza knew this for sure. Perhaps all thieves were as secretive about themselves as Morin was, but she was sure there was an exception or two in the batch. And she was quite sure that not all thieves respected the privacy of others as much as Morin did. Well, he wasn't nosy anyway.
Faiza nodded her head in the direction Morin had indicated. "I shall wait here. Go make your report, and then we can start traveling. Unless you can think of another meeting point that is more convenient."
((I think maybe you can do a time skip with the next post, where Morin left, came back, and now they're traveling?))

“Yes but they themselves have given me fake names, alas I dont think that gives them much room for giving me a hard time about giving out a fake name as well" Morin continued before eventually heading out towards the tribe post. He came back from checking in with the tribe and was cleared for going off again. After all it was rather hot in the desert at this time and season and they weren't really doing much at the moment except lazing about. Sure enough he had walked the whole way, expect for the second Faiza was out of ear shot he grumbled about the whole thing pretty much the entire way as a way to pass the time. Eventually he met up with her again and they where now on their way. He hoped Kaname was still in the area. Kaname had said that he would be sticking around for a few days to collect herbs and stuff not found in Kemet but who really knew with his cousin. Things could have come up.
The beginning of the journey was a bit silent, mostly because Morin was thinking of just exactly where they would go. It had been awhile since he had to navigate on the ground but he was still pretty good at it. The scenery was also a bit different and he probably would have been in trouble if they weren’t going past where he often went to teach Anila how to fly. He looked over at Faiza and wondered if their kits ended up with wings like him. How would they feel about their mother or if they didn’t have wings how they would feel about their siblings and himself who did?

Faiza's mind was running in the same direction as her mate's, though perhaps on a different track. Both were walking in a relative silence that didn't seem to bother either of them. Faiza had actually been surprised that Morin had kept his word and walked to meet his tribe and back to her. It wasn't that he habitually broke promises or rebelled against her advice, but they were both pretty strong-willed and tended to do things their own way.
That was only a fleeting thought though, and hadn't lasted for more than a moment when Morin had showed up. Faiza's mind was on the enigma of Morin's family. She wondered what they were like, and if she would be able to get along with them. She tried to keep her frame of mind open and neutral, but already she had heard things that made her uneasy.

Well it should be pretty easy to find Kaname, after all in a forest the phim tended to stand out occasionally when he wasn’t trying to hide himself. He was rather red. However it should still relatively be easy for Faiza considering the trees where pretty spaced out. He wondered how Kaname would react and hoped his rather emotion hiding relative just didn’t stand there with a blank face. However he didn’t have to worry for very long as he was suddenly tackled by a Black and orange Blur?
(since we all know what Akori looks like) “Uncle Morin. What are you doing back here?” Akori asked sitting on top of him. ‘Its good to see you again so soon.” It was then he spotted Faiza and crawled off his older second cousin. “ah you’re out with your lady friend. Sorry for tackling him over then.” Akori stated politely tilting his head to the side as if searching for something on her. “Don’t worry Uncle Morin, she doesn’t have narbles” Akori joked in a whisper. He figured if Morin was hanging out with her then she was pretty safe. “ah I should introduce myself shouldn’t I?” Akori asked hesitantly.

Faiza was a bit taken aback by the sudden appearance of this new fox, though aside for siddling her front paws a bit she didn't show it. Since Morin didn't seem fazed, and this fox was perching on Morin's back, she figured he must be someone Morin knew.
She examined the new fox. He was a mixture of black, orange, and red, with lace-like patterns all over him, and red eyes. The eyes themselves seemed a bit off, and on second look she knew why. This was her first time seeing a fox with slit-pupil eyes. It was a little disconcerting, but she imagined no more so than seeing a wingless Phim for the first time.
Some of Faiza's confusion was cleared up when the stranger started talking. Ah, so this was one of the children Morin spoke of. She hung back a little, looking at Morin to see if she should introduce herself or if let him do the talking, then decided for the former. "My name is Faiza," she said, looking down at the stranger. "It would be good of you to introduce yourself, though if you do not wish it I am sure Morin could do the honors for you." She gave the male the tiniest of smiles.

Morin coughed a bit before finally managing to get a clear view of Akori. Well he guessed that Kaname was probably in the area as well if his youngest son was. “Hey Akori, I take it you and your dad are still around here? Shouldn’t you be getting back soon.” Morin pointed out in a light teasing manner. He wasn’t too surprised that Akori wasn’t too bothered by Faiza’s wings, after all the boy saw stranger things at his tribe on a daily basis. Morin did secretly want to see a perma fighting a crocodile however.
As for the introductions Morin figured it best if he let Akori do it, he wanted to see if the poor kid was getting better about his shyness. Sure enough the boy introduced himself. It was good he was opening up a bit, Morin secretly wondered if there was a girl responsible for that.
“Nice to meet you Miss Faiza, I’m Akori Morin’s second cousin I think but since he’s older and acts more like a brother to dad he gets to be uncle Morin. Would you be an Aunt Faiza?” Akori asked hoping he wasn’t bothering the poor lady too much. He then turned back towards Morin titling his head to the side. “Well we had planned on leaving sometime today but then dad got kidnapped by Daevas” Akori stated and then figured he should elaborate more at the sudden worried look on his uncle’s face. “Ah well you see this daeva with a sword came down and wanted a shaman and then kidnapped dad.” And that wasn’t any better at all. "he should be fine and come back when he's done" the youngest out of the group nodded."

Faiza was pretty sure she and Morin had matching expressions of blank disbelief when Akori so matter-of-factly stated that his father had been kidnapped. Was that something that occured down here regularly? If so, Faiza was feeling a lot better about her decision to live on her own!
"Ah, do things of that nature happen often," she asked, looking from Akori to Morin. After all it could be that her worry about totally unfounded. Though the look of dismay on Morin's face would have been comical if the situation wasn't so (potentially) serious.

“Hmmm well no, it doesn’t happen often. I guess I should be more scared but if it was just to go take care of someone Dad will be alright. Besides he’s very tough and has dealt with worse than nasty Daevas.” Akori told them. He knew why Morin was so worried but if he hadn’t told Miss Faiza about it then Akori would stay quiet as well.
Morin let out a long sigh. Well if it was just for a bit of healing and Kaname just went along with the whole thing it was a pretty good chance that it wasn’t any of Xi lan’s grandfather’s goons. He wondered if he should go and try and help his cousin at all but Kaname, if anyone could, probably had the situation under control at the moment. Besides akori had been there watching the situation and if he wasnt too worried then Morin would wait. "only this family" he finally stated shaking his head.

Faiza almost laughed. Really, the whole situtation just seemed too chaotic and ridiculous to really be happening. She took a moment and got herself under control though.
"Quite. I have only met two members of family and already things have been quite interesting. I almost fear meeting the others," she said, half-jokingly.

“Well you’ll only be able to meet two of the others. Seriously this doesn’t happen very often, or at least it hasn’t happened for a while. Apparently the guy wanted a shaman; dad was getting plants so he got kidnapped. It’s really only Dad and Uncle Morin things happen to” Akori stated.
“We have our reasons for it but Akori is right the only one with this much excitement would be Kaname and me.” Morin stated. He let out a light sigh again and wondered when his cousin was going to be back so he could ream him out. Seriously did the other phim have a “Morin’s coming to visit so let’s go get in trouble” beacon or something silly like that?
