Adel gave a twitch, "One thing to... bury them..." He murmured, then gave a shake of his head, "Its not so easy! You... you act like your the only one that has a hard job!" He said, wanting nothing more then to shake the other boy. Did he think it was so easy what they did? "I don't know how it feels to watch them die but I know what its like when they wander around still thinking their alive! When... when they are lost... or when their graves ware down to where you can't even read the names... or those that never get visitors or flowers... even if I don't see their end I will be here for the long years after when you have forgotten and moved on to a new patient."

He lifted a hand to point at the direction they came from, "Come on my wi... back is fine, I don't need you to look at it, Papa helped me put the open on and helped me to straighten and preen my feath... erm... I am fine! Its time to walk you to the gate." It was time for him to go home, back to his part of the life cycle since he seemed to think that his world was brighter, that his job was tougher, and that his life was better for whatever reasons Iri believed that he had.

Ignoring the comment about coming to see him Adelbert started to lead the way, wanting to see Iri to the gate before he went back to his flower weaving.

His eyes narrowed, and he gave a scoff. "Well, what happens when YOU die? Do you think someone is going to care about your grave after decades have passed? Pfft, I doubt it. But who cares, really?"

Instantly letting go of his arm he watched as the back began to retreat, and planted his feet firmly. Screw being scared! He was NOT going to get kicked out. No WAY was he going to let this little.. PUNK get away with being so rude! Not when he had tried so HARD to come see him.

"No. What does your papa know anyway? He's just some smelly old man, who does nothing but grovel in some grave. Why? Why does he not bother with the outside world? Probably because no one who on the outside cares about him. No, the only way he can get SOME sort of socialization is keeping a boy trapped here. Telling him he shouldn't leave, and that he should hide his gifts. "

Adel gave a flinch when he was told that nobody would care about him or take care of his grave after he died. His eyes narrowed a little and he looked away, "I... care, I care about them... Its why I am working as hard as I do." He murmured, walking along then realized that Iri wasn't following him, that he was just standing there stubbornly despite a moment ago claiming that he feared this place so much. Probably a lie then... he said he feared it but he was going to stand there regardless?

The bird boy turned slowly as the battle went about him, about them, and about what they did as their jobs to being about his Papa. He starred for a long moment then he looked as though he'd been struck, "You... you are... you are a terrible boy! Your are just like Papa said!" He said, fine! If he wanted to be like that, if he wanted to think so little of him, of his Papa, of this place they protected, of their job, and make Papa sound like a monster he could go ahead, "I hope they do all haunt you! Just go home and never come back!"

With that Adel whirled around and started toward home at a run, lifting up an arm so he could scrub it against his eyes, dropping the container of cookies on the ground that he no longer wanted. He wanted nothing from Iri aside from having him go home and never come back!
PostPosted: Mon Jun 06, 2011 4:58 pm

His heart sank... Was he really a terrible boy? Sure, he was a bit of a loud mouth, and he refused to stay quiet all the time, but he wasn't that bad! And to think he had honestly cared about the stupid boy! Took time out of his precious job to see someone who had come to him sick! What gave him the right to call terrible?!

"Grrr.. GET BACK HERE!! I'M YOUR DOCTOR AND I WILL MAKE SURE YOU'RE BETTER!" At this point, he was simply using that as an excuse to chase him down. Using his wings as a propellent, he caught up to the feeling boy, growling and tackling him down to the ground, moving to straddle his back.

"Now you better calm the heck down and take off your coat! I want to see them!!"

Adel did his best to run from the other boy that was yelling at him down, not wanting to get caught by him... though try as he might a moment later he was being tackled to the ground. He gave a cry of surprise as he hit before he started to struggle best he could, "Idiot! What kind of Doctor tackles people!" He cried, forgetting all about the fact that this place was supposed to be a peaceful place and yet here he was yelling too... it wasn't his fault though, not with this brat being so mean to him!

When he realized that it wasn't just tackling him that Iri was after he started to struggling that much harder, wrapping his arms around himself in a defensive manner to keep the other from stealing his coat, "Stop...stop it! I don't want to take it off here!" He said, throwing an elbow backwards in an attempt to knock the other off him or at least to punish him for knocking him to the ground like he had. Such a mean Doctor... its not as though, just because they could stitch up wounds, that they should be allowed to be the cause of them! It just wasn't at all fair! "I want you to leave me alone! Go home!" He told Iri as he struggled with him, reaching toward home, wanting nothing to be back with his Papa. No matter what Iri said he would take his Papa, not matter his mood, any day over Iri at the moment!

"The kinda doctor who really truly cares about their patient, that's who?! And I'm not the idiot, YOU'RE the idiot! What if you die?! Do you WANT your dad to bury you?!" Okay.. He might have exaggerated that last point, just a bit, but whenever he mentioned the other boy's dad, he seemed to get emotional, and maybe he would listen.

He suddenly realized How they were positioned, and blushed brightly, tightening his grip on the boy under him.

"Please, just calm down!! It's your fault anyway! You're the one who decided to take me to some scary mausoleum! And then you are RUDE to me! I'm a GUEST here, and I'd act more like one if you stopped being so weird!!" Perhaps.. that wasn't the best thing to say in this current predicament.. Iri looked around quickly, realizing that there wasn't anyone in the area, and that they were still half hidden by the all the intimidating statues.

"Listen listen listen! I won't go in, but.. We could do it right here! There is no one around!! I'm sure if there were, someone would have come over and tore us apart! So just CALM down. Okay? I'll let you go if you let me see your wings! And even if you run, I can catch you again. Now, will you calm down?"

"Your a liar! You don't care, I want you to get off me... get away from me..." He gasped out, struggling in place, kicking and flailing under him. He wanted to get free of him, get away from him, the other bird was just... frightening, wasn't he?

"I won't calm down! I don't like this!" He cried, hands grasping at the ground as though he were going to drag himself free of his hold, to try to save himself from the one that had hold of him, the one that was trying to get him to do something bad, something his Papa told him he wasn't allowed to ever do! "You... you are the rude one... your always so mean... its no wonder Papa doesn't like you!"

He struggled for a bit more before giving up, arms wrapping around himself tightly to keep his coat on, head bowed to hide his face. He didn't like this, didn't want to be trapped like this... Iri was a bad guy, just as Papa said, he was raised by the 'wrong sort of people' and it made him bad as well! Now he was going to be exposed and everyone would know that he had wings, that he wasn't something that belonged, and someone would arrive to get rid of him... the idea had Adel's eyes flooding with tears. He didn't want this, he just wanted to go home, back to his Papa, to hide behind the man's powerful form where Iri couldn't get him.

"Please... please just... go away..." He gasped out.

"I'm not lying, I swear!" He cried out, then went completely still ontop of him, shifting his weight so that he could pin the other boy down without using his hands. It gave the other a bit more freedom, but at the same time kept him from getting up. When the struggling stopped, Iri simply gazed down at the boy before him, staring. What the hell was he doing?!

"You're right.. You're right.. I'm a horrible person.. I try to help, but get carried away and end up scaring everyone.. I suppose that's why I have no friends.." He didn't want to feel bad for himself, but... He felts absolutely horrible. Iri leaned down, pressing his forehead to the other boy's, giving a little sigh, and for a brief moment, felt just a bit closer to him, and he couldn't help what he did next. Very very briefly, he pressed his lips against the boy beneath him. Whether it was desperation, instinct, or just a need to keep the other quiet, he was not sure. But as soon as it happened, he pulled away, rolling off the other boy in panic.

"I'm sorry.. I'm sorry I'm so sorry... I don't, I just--!!" He was on his hands and knees beside the other now, and simply stared at him, his own eyes watering, before he scrambled up, racing back to the corner of the graveyard where the mausoleum, and hid himself, mortified at what he did.. and what he had become.

The cookies he had so diligently made for Adel lied abandon near he once was.

Iri had a strong personality, one that intimidated the normally calm and soft spoken boy. He was young yet, was used to being quiet, used to hiding, used to being in a place where most of the residents had passed on, he wasn't used to one like this boy. His Papa, Beald, was a powerful presence but he didn't even need to speak to be powerful, just him standing there alone, the aura around him, the dark stares he could give people.

He gave a jerk of shock when he suddenly found himself being given a kiss. Sure it just a quick, chaste sort of innocent kiss but still, given his Papa's complaining about such things when Iri's parents came up he instantly thought it a bad thing. He lifted a hand to scrub at his mouth in shock, starring up at Iri as the other perked away from him and then fled... and instantly the boy was up on his feet, racing back toward home... and straight into the powerful arms of his Papa who had come out looking for him. He was swept up off the ground and the boy clung to him, bursting into tears.

Beald starred at him, lifting an eyebrow, "You were messing with that spirit again...?" He asked, wondering if he'd gotten himself scared by her again. Strange since it was a bit early for that, she didn't normally appear until after dark. The boy was already shaking his head, pointing back toward the mausoleums and, thinking there was an intruder, the man gave a low growl in his throat and headed in that direction to find who was hiding out there to grab them, shake them, and eject them from the graveyard.

Being up high was always something that calmed him... Though right now.. It's wasn't working.. After he had retreated from Adel's side, he had no idea where he was going, only knowing that he had to get away from him.. With a leap and a few bounds off the side of the mausoleum, he found himself on top of the building, and curled up with his knees to his chest. He wished his wings were larger.. then he could hide behind them, and ignore everything around him until he found the courage in himself to go back home.

He lifted his tear filled gaze to stare out towards the direction of the sun, watching it slowly descend from it's height in the sky. Maybe.. This is how this entire relationship between them, no, it couldn't even be called that.. This interaction between the two would end here.. He was more than positive that Adel hated him now. It was clear that his stupid old man drilled in his head that people like him and his father, those who know that love knows no limit, were gross.. And look what he had gone and done, he KISSED him. K-I-S-S-E-D him.

Iri absolutly hated feeling this way.. His entire body was shaking, and his hands.. Every know and then his hands gave a sudden tingle, one that hurt, but at the same time, didn't. He felt like the biggest idiot in the world, and he wanted nothing more than to go home.. With a sigh, he pulled up tighter, trying to hide himself from the world.

Beald looked around the area that his son had led him, looking around, then found the little container of cookies that had been dropped on the ground and forgotten. He stooped down to grab hold of it, looking it over then handed it to Adel before looking around once more, "I am aware that you are out there. I demand that you come out here now." He said, not bothering to really raise his voice that much, he didn't have to. The man was sure that it was an intruder and he meant to give... well whoever was hiding out there one chance to come out and if he had to find them he would be sure to beat the life out of them.

Adel looked down at the cookies he was holding, not sure what to think about them, what had happened, what might happen next. All he knew was that he was happy to be back with his Papa since the man could protect him from the scary Iri... perhaps Papa would be able to get him to stay away. Though... did he want that? He wasn't sure, there were moments when Iri was alright but then there were also time when far to scary as well... He shook his head, trying to clear the racing thoughts there and tightened his grasp upon the cookies as well as on his Papa, hiding his face against him as the man awaited the 'intruders' arrived.

Iri's ear twitched as he heard the voice calling out to him.. Dang it! If this wasn't already hard enough already, he couldn't even escape without that stupid old man seeing him! He should have known that the boy was going to go straight to him! Why had he sulked?! Why didn't he just get out?! Iri just didn't have it in him to be angry, to deal with the old man.

"I'm leaving." He called out, giving a somersault off the roof of the building, onto the ground infront of them, not looking at either of them. He tried his best to simply make his way to the gate without having any confrontations, or having the old man insult his family again.. He couldn't deal with this right now. No, not at all. And he did NOT want that stupid old coot to see him cry! It was bad enough Adel already saw.

"I don't want any trouble, and I don't want to exchanged words.. I just want to go home.. Just let me go, okay?"

Beald's eyes went a bit side as he looked down at the one that appeared in front of him. He'd been expecting a thief, a grave robber, or something worse given the mood that his son had been in when he found him and yet it was this one? His eyes narrowed slightly before he seemed to be debating over it, he didn't want trouble, didn't want to exchange words, just wanted to go home?

"I am sure that you would like that, wouldn't you?" He said, sounding none to pleased manner, what in the world this one was doing back here again. He hadn't wanted to see him again, didn't much care for the kid or his family, and now he was here teasing his son? Didn't the kid have better things to do with his time? He gave a growling sound, reaching one hand out to grab hold of the back of his shirt, turned around on his heel, and soon enough the three of them were heading toward the clinic. The kid was lucky that it wasn't to long a walk between the two places since he was going to need to be going to work soon enough. That he had to lead this kid home, wanting to make sure he got there, and so he could tell his parents to keep him away from the graveyard where he was far from welcome.

Adelbert clung tightly to his Papa, not daring to look down at Iri, sure that the boy was going to say something else mean to him now that he'd gone running for home and ended up in this situation. Why he couldn't stay home while Papa brought Iri back to his home was beyond Adelbert but he hoped that it was a quick walk...
PostPosted: Tue Jun 07, 2011 8:27 pm

"Look, I just want to go -- H-hey, let me go!" Before he knew it, the back of his shirt was grabbed, and he was being led off. He wanted to struggle, but digging his heals into the grass just seemed so.. Wrong. There were dead people here! And he didn't want to make a single one mad at him for messing up their pretty lawn. As he was dragged along, not giving a struggle, his mind slightly wandered off. How do they cut the grass if there are dead bodies around..? If they weren't in such a situation, he'd asked, but not now.

He didn't even want to LOOK at Adel. Iri was filled with anger to him, a silent anger that his own parents thought was worse than when he shouted. To think he had LIKED this boy at one point! Perhaps it was just the fact that he had been the first boy that was similar to him he'd ever met that made Iri feel the need to be close to him. Whatever it was, he just simply couldn't stand the other now.

"Fine, lead me home, I'd rather be there than here. I see that I'm not wanted. I just wanted to see if your boy was alright, and look how I'm treated." He tried to make a fuss, but.. He just didn't have it in him, instead just following the old man, keeping his eyes down.

~

Uri, his father, was outside of the shop, sweeping the dust out of the shop while they weren't busy. Most people would be sad if their shop wasn't busy, but he, himself found it nice. He hated seeing people hurt and upset..

He looked up from his work, seeing a rather large, dark man approaching him, and an orangish blob with him.

"That can't be... Iri?" Uri murmured to himself, pushing a piece of his dark hair behind his ear, before straighting himself up.

"Is there a problem, sir?" Of course there was! Iri WAS being dragged along now..

"Good, so long as your well aware that your unwanted in this place." Beald said to him, the only thing that he said to him before they were once more moving along down the road, their pace a quick one as they brought Iri back to where he belonged. He looked up at he heard voice asking him if there was a problem and Beald's eyes fell upon Uri and he looked between the pair for a long moment, then pushed Iri forward, "I am guessing this is yours?" He asked, "I would ask you to keep your child away from the graveyard, he is unwelcome there until the time comes that he will be resting there." He would never deny someone their spot after death but until that time Beald didn't want to see the boy there.

He lowered his orange gaze to stare at Iri for a long moment then looked up at him once more. He starred at him for a long moment, taking in every detail of the man before him, and he didn't really see him as much of a threat other then the fact that he was doing a piss poor job with his son who seemed like nothing more then a rude, foul mouthed little bully. He shook his head at Uri, "Just keep him away from me, away from my son, and away from where we live and work." He said before he turned to head out, wanting to just get out of here and away from these people. He saw no reason to be around them unless one of them needed patched up.

Adel peeked over his Papa's shoulder, looking down at Uri and Iri for a moment before he hide his face against his Papa's shoulder, not wanting to meet gazes with him again, not wanting to be noticed by Iri anymore since he found him intimidating on many levels, "I wanna go home." He murmured to his Papa.
