Nola continued walking, looking at the silvers, whites, browns and blacks in the mountains. She hadn't realized the pain in Yori's face when she turned away. Honestly, she was trying to forget about the blush that had speckled about her face. She had just met him, yet she felt so...strongly for him.
Nola heard a rumble, but decided it was just the weather. Mountain weather was a bit unpredictable after all. She felt a body press against hers, quite painfully actually. "Oi! What are you doing?!" She slammed against a jagged wall roughly. It took her a moment before she realized what had just happened. She stared at the rock in utter shock.
"Y-Yori...are you okay?" She began pushing at the rock violently. "Help me push it as much as you can." After strenuous pushing, which caused her neck to pull and now left her with a very sore shoulder, she was finally able to get Yori free. She went over to him, using her horn to move his head around, used her front hooves to inspect him over.
"Are you hurt? Anything broken? I can heal you if you need healing. I'm good at healing, do you need healing?" She fired off questions one after another. She was nervous. He had saved her life, causing her already fluttered heart to flutter more. More of these feelings crept into her heart, making her feel like butter.
She finally quieted down, waiting for Yori to speak. She blushed again, giving him a small smile. "You okay, yes?"

Yori pushed as hard as he could with her using his back end. This was awkward and uncomfortable for him. Once the boulder was dislodged he gave his tail a flick. The boulder did not get the fleshy part of his tail just the hair. Small wisps of purple hair blew off into the wind. The tugging had pulled out a bit of it by the roots. He blinked at her as she whipped his head around. Her questions beating around his ears. He waited for her to stop. "I'm okay." He suddenly started pleading with her. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to make you upset with me back there! And I didn't mean to be so rough on you when I pushed you out of the way! A...A...Are you hurt?" His face was filled with worry that he had caused her harm. Please don't be mad at me. He softly begged in his head.
He took a deep breath trying to calm down. He gave her a soft warm smile. Did she really care about me? This was the first time anybody had made a fuss about something wrong with him. The first time someone thought about his well being.

Nola looked over his tail, just double checking to make sure there weren't any fresh cuts or scrapes. She had to stop as he blurted out his words. "Angry? You never made me angry," she giggled out. "If I was angry at you, I'd tell you. And thank you for your concern, but I'm fine."
Her face became a bit more seriously as they stood there on the hill going up further into the mountains. "You saved me..." She smiled with relief etched into her eyes. "You didn't even hesitate." She wanted to hug him, but she held back. She decided she'd rather not push herself completely on him, so instead, she gave him a quick nuzzle, short and friendly. "Thank you...so much."

Yori felt a blush creeping up his face. He was thankful that his dark coloring hid it. She's not mad at me! His thoughts raced happily. He gave her a quick nuzzle back. Then gave her a puzzled look. "Shouldn't I save my friends?" He thought a bit. "Some times I would see a lone stallion or mare in trouble and would save them and disappear right away. I don't like to see others in distress." He peered down at the ground. "And that rock would have h...h...hurt you. I would be sad if y...y...you got hurt and I let it happen." I would never forgive myself if I let something happen to her when I could stop it. He hesitated for a long time. "And y..y...you are nice to me." He softly whispered.

Nola smiled warmly as he returned her nuzzle. The places his coat touched her left a warm tingle that she wished would never leave her. She watched his face contort into incomprehension.
"It's not that you shouldn't save your friends, it's just...well...you could have died. Not everyone would give up their own life for a friend. I wouldn't expect them to." She enjoyed the fact that he was so kind to others. It made him all the more appealing to her.
"Not many are like you. You're so kind and selfless. I wish others were more like you," she said softly, looking up at him with her big round eyes.
She turned around, going back up the mountain once more. "Shall we press on then?"

Yori followed after her. "I would hate myself if I let you get hurt. It's not right to let others get hurt if I can stop it from happening." He looked around at the mountains around them. "It's pretty up here. Thank you for bringing me up here with you. Think we will find the rainbow?" He watched her move in front of him. He really wasn't interested in finding the rainbow now. He already found his own rainbow to follow around. But he did wonder what a pot of gold was. "Nola, maybe some time I'll go with you to meet your family." He mumbled out. I just hope they are as accepting as you are. He thought to himself.

Nola swayed her tail back and forth as she continued to climb up the mountain. Her heart fluttered as he spoke about her safety. He was so kind. It was almost unreal.
"You're very sweet, Yori," she said softly as she looked over her shoulder at him, a light blush dusting across her face. She straightened up at the mention of the rainbow. "Oh yeah, we just got to make it to the top. It's always up there. It's the pot of gold's what I'm curious about. I've never found the end of a rainbow."
She jumped across the gap in the mountain, turning to Yori as he spoke softly. Through the sounds of the rock beneath her feat, she almost didn't hear him. The sound of his voice did carry over to her ears, like a messenger bird, chirping happily. "I'd love for you to meet them. They'd love you."

Yori watches her tail swaying a bit mesmerized by it. "Maybe you are the end of the rainbow." He suddenly blurted out. He suddenly blushed. "I mean you have to be better then any pot of gold. At least I think you are better then a pot of gold. Even though I don't know what a pot of gold is." He started rambling in his embarrassment. "You're pretty!" He continued to blurt out random things. "Will you stay with me forever?"
He put his head down feeling rather foolish and embarrassed at his rambling. I'm an idiot! He yelled at himself. She is going to turn and kick me. Not that I wouldn't deserve it.

Nola's eyes continued to widen with each thing the other, seemingly panicked out. She blinked a few times in utter astonishment. "M-me?" she ever so intelligently responded. "M-me? S-s-s-stay?"
She wanted to say something a bit more like "of course," but her tongue swelled to fill her entire mouth and her heart crashed every which way in her ribcage. She was panicking with joy, not with fright, but she still couldn't indicate that to him.
She took a big breath, forcing all her shock down and put aside. "Yori.." she said softly, moving over to him closer and nuzzling his neck. "Of course I'd stay with you forever."

Yori closed his eyes half expecting a hard kick. Then opened them at the shock of her nuzzling his neck. This was the best feeling he had in all his life. He soon returned the nuzzle to her neck. "R...R..Really?" He asked a bit astonished at the fact she would stay with him. He could feel the blush creeping up his face before blurting out. "Will you be my rainbow Nola?" He brought his head around to peer into her face. "I like rainbows! They make me happy. Y...Y...You look like a rainbow! And you make me happy." His voice suddenly got really soft. "And I think you like me even though I'm different."

Nola giggled at his awkward ramblings. It was a part of him that she had come to find truly endearing. She pushed her nose into his, smiling gently. Her eyes peered into his softly, like azure gems. Her smile never fading away.
He was able to do what no other could. He made her feel truly happy. Her stomach did small flips when he did anything adorable, her mind raced to thoughts of other adventures they could have together, some more romantic than others. So she continued smiling, picturing a life they could have together.
"Yori..." she said softly, still with her nose against his. "I'll always be your rainbow."
She gave him a small nibble on his cheek before her eyes widened and she stepped back a bit. "Yori...behind you..."
There climbing the mountains was a rainbow, shimmering with all the luminosity of the sun. Nola was in awe of the majestic coloring as it sprawled across the sky. She looked to Yori, feeling absolutely ecstatic that they could share this moment together. She came to stand next to him, swishing her tail around his. She didn't speak, she didn't look at him. She just, stared at the rainbow, almost like it was a sign, that everything they had seen already and done, was their beginning to a wonderful life ahead.
((I almost think this one could end soon, and we can start another, ps, sorry for taking...ooohhh forever. haha <3 ))

Yori smiled at Nola returning her nuzzles and nibbles. He breathed deeply becoming almost drunk off her scent. He closed his eyes enjoying every minute. He felt wonderful, he found a best friend who would never leave. He listened to her thinking her voice was the best sound in the world.
His eyes flew open. "What?" A bit of shock and confusion when she told him behind him. Was something about to happen? He jumped back then flipped around. His eyes went wide. "Ohhh!" He blushed feeling Nola stand next to him. He watched the rainbow for a few minutes then set his eyes on Nola. Nola is a much more beautiful rainbow. He thought to himself. He suddenly draped his head across her neck giving her a warm embrace. "Thank you Nola." He softly whispered.

Nola giggled softly at the moment of panic in Yori's voice. He was ever so amusing. She let her gaze rest upon the rainbow once again, feeling his gaze on her. Her eyes slowly met his, instantly going warm and embracing.
She felt his body press against hers, and like it was second nature, she rested against him, her tail slowly swaying in content. She sighed softly, giving him a nuzzle as she returned his embrace.
"Your welcome, Yori," she said softly, closing her eyes and for the first time in her life, feeling the urge to stay put, rather than run to the next adventure.
