I've been looking for a thread about literature cuz I just talked to my mom about it.. She was merely complaining about how people these days don't use proper grammar and such [in chinese]. I walked by the living room and heard this song that this teen was singing and I'm listening to it and my mom's like "See that's how music is like these days." And I asked her what she meant. She said that now in Canto, songs are just like everyday speak with no.. "literary spice" in it. She told me how one phrase should be spoken and how that same phrase should be written, it seemed so complicated >< My goodness. I can't read chinese and can't even understand the music.. I barely understand the language, I just know it's complicated and .. it makes me want learn it even more! xd But has chinese literature's importance gone down in Chinese schools'?? confused
