"Want some? The cafetria ladies love me, plus I have plenty money." Vero got up and put out the cigarette on a desk. She smiled at the young girl in front of her. "What's your name dearie?"

Narrowing her eyes slightly, she proclaimed loudly, "My name is Vivian." Lowering her tone a bit, she visibly drooped some, saying, "what services do you want in return for the food? No one just gives food for free, and no one receives it without paying a price. And you apparently know it's not like I can pay you." If there's one thing being a street girl had taught her, it was that Vivian always was forced to pay, one way or another.

The principle finally called Drago back. After a long lecture, Drago was assigned 10 days of out-of-school suspension and a week of detention. The principle called Drago's dad and told him to come pick up Drago.

Erae was so hungry but he didn't have what the kids called money so he just sat back and watched the other students eat as to jocks walked by he heard them say "look at the new kid" and "what a f**" the name f** was unfamiliar to him so he just ignored it

"I just miss the company of someone other than human, you can have a place to live and as much to eat as you need in return for your companionship." Vero held out her hand to Vivian with a sincere smile as she went back to what she was when they first met.

Blinking at the hand and not quite knowing what to do with it, she tilted her head in confusion once again. "I don't want a place to live. I've a nice little area as it is. Though... Food... Would be nice... What do you mean by "companionship" though?" The term was new to Vivian and she was not quite sure what the strange girl who called herself Vero meant.

It started out as a quite car ride. Drago's dad was taking him right to his moms grave. "Dad, do you ever plan on getting remarried? I mean, I want you to be happy. But... Noone could ever replace mom." Drago could feel tears slowly rolling down his cheek.

Erae got up feeling bored he started to walk across the room he bumped into someone their food went all over his jacket he apologized only to recieve a "watch where your going freak" Erae took off his jacket and hurried down the hall feeling very upset he quickened his pace only to trip and fall outside the room where Vero and Vivian were his spell book and whip fell out of his bag he sat up and rubbed his head

Vero smiled at the young girl and was about to explain about a soft bed and a family as she heard a thud outside the door. She sensed something other than human and went to the door. She opened it and a saw a ginger on the ground and vaguly familar objects on the ground in front of him. "You okay?"

Eye widening in alarm, Vivian immediately took up a defensive pose, not sure what made the thud that made her current hope for food leave. Walking around the desk, she saw the boy as well, though remained silent.

Drago and his dad reached the graveyard. Drago quickly got out and walked to his moms grave. Drago's dad came up from behind and put his shoulder and squeezed. Drago looked at him and mumbles, "I'd like some time alone." His dad headed back to the car as Drago cleaned off the tombstone. He pulled out some flowers he stashed in his backpack and set them infront. "I miss you, mom." Drago headed back to the car and hid his face in his knees.

"I'm fine" Erae said to Vero as he rushed to get his book and whip he got a bad feeling from her and he didn't want to get into anymore trouble

Vero pulled him into the class room and shut the door. "What the hell is an elf doing in a human high school? I thought no one was allowed to leave the forest for at least another fifty years!"

Vivian slowly slinked to the darkest corner of the room, shifting her form slowly as to not be noticed by the new boy, an elf from what Vero had said. Completely confused, she continued her silence, finding out what she could.

"I left the forest I wasn't accepted there anyway" "wait how did you know i was elf?" Erae was shocked nobody had noticed all day was it his ears? or was she simply not human then he noticed the figure in the coner "who is that?" he pointed to the dark shape
